Thanks to everybody!!!
In Italy, last week, one person won 147 millions of euros at "lotto"..
it's an big big big amount!! I think they are too much money, maybe, if you win 147 millions, you will find reason, you will ruin yourself
I'm so sad for ted's dead..it was an great person, with him, it go away the kennedy dynasty.
It's terrible the kennedy's history....john, bob, john jr, and now, ted..
Maybe, the great people, they are fated to do an ugly dead, they are fated to have an ugly end..
they are so great, so beautiful in their life, and so bad in their dead...
Now that he has garnered more media attention for himself with his recent antics, the mysterious disapperance, the fake "mountain hike", the tearful revealation of his adultery, Gov. Mark Sanford has focused our minds on his legacy to South Carolina, and to the American people.
For years Sanford has claimed that he is a "true Conservative". He has powerful convictions, exemplified by his statement "What I believe I truly believe. I can't do the flavor-of-the-month approach." Sanford believed government should be small, spend little, even if that means allowing the poor and their children to suffer. Even if that means turning down 700 Million dollars in federal stimulus money for his state because he is afraid of "creeping Socialism". Even if that means rejecting money that could rebuild crumbling schools, forcing teenage girls to take him to court to make him take stimulus funds by court order.
Sanford has been true to conservative ideology. Let the schools fall to pieces, let the unemployed and their children starve, just as long as the brave and heroic individualists like Sanford can hold onto their low tax rates for the wealthy, no matter what the cost to society. According to Sanford, taxpayers should not be burdened with helping the sick, the poor, or the jobless.
But when it comes to using taxpayer dollars to finance a trip to Argentina to have sex with your mistress, that is a perfectly justified use of public funds. Helping those in need is socialism. Helping yourself to the contents of taxpayer wallets in order to fly to another hemisphere to indulge in illicit sex while pretending you are in a "Governor's Conference" is good, old fashioned conservatism.
Mark Sanford is not an isolated example of Conservative hypocrisy. He is the rule. The belief that everyone in America can go to hell as long as you as an individual have everything, and can indulge your every whim, is commonplace among the "Conservative movement". Public needs and civic duties, service to others, is all just evil socialism. But taking armfuls of cash from the public coffers to jet around the world and leap into the warm bed of a starstruck groupie is Republican conservatism at its finest.
I think that in Italy we need change; but there isn't any person which can bring change.
there isn't any politcal person which is onesty, coherent, loyal.
Now we have Berlusconi, the man who said: "Obama is young, beautiful, and suntanned".
when his collaborators don't write him the speech, he say only idiocys!
now I think: I mustn't do belive that change is possible or, in the future, also in Italy will come one political person such as Obama?
I' m reading your posts, and I think that they are very helpful for me and my thesis!!
Unfortunately I don't understand everything.
I think that sarah palin is a dangerous, she is an idiot woman.
I'm writing my thesis about Obama, so I'm scanning everythig about his life and his election; so I see that Sarah is very dangerous!!
does she want to candidate at 2012 election's? (it's true?)
Last night financial host Kudlow was ranting against President Obama on CNBC. Kudlow blamed President Obama for the stock market going below 7000, saying that the "lack of clarity" from Tim Geithner and the President was ruining the market.
Then the Republican propaganda minister claimed that the rich were being persecuted horribly by having their nominal rate raised from 37% to 39% after 2011. Another reason the market is going down.
The truth is that the market is looking for a bottom because of the treachery of specimens like Kudlow. For years he has supported the Tax cuts for the rich, corporate welfare, and deregulation which led to the Enron disaster, as well as the insane packaging of massive numbers of sub-prime mortgages and re-selling them as AAA rated bonds. All of these items have led to the financial mess we are in now, not anything that President Obama has done in the 5 weeks he has been sworn in.
But besides the ugliness of him trying to scapegoat our President for the market tumble, I was amazed at the vicious and naked greed he displayed in whining about paying 2% more in taxes. The Billionaires who have profited from bringing us to this point, the men who received the 1.3 Trillion dollars in tax cuts, the mortgage brokers who sold and re-sold the toxic CDO's to unsuspecting investors while taking a handsome percentage each time they found another buyer, these same wealthy men with no conscience, are now crying about paying 2% more, 2 years from now. The men who have caused perhaps, 50 Trillion dollars in losses, when it is all said and done, want us to feel sorry for them.
As working people we are financing Trillions of dollars in bailouts and rescues because of their criminal misdeeds and monstrous ideology. We must never again listen to these vultures and allow the government to be taken over by anyone who preaches the poisonous lie that the market should be allowed to police itself.
An excerpt from Federal Computer Week-------------------
Currently, about 100,000 employers voluntarily use E-Verify, formerly known as Basic Pilot. Under an executive order issued by President George W. Bush, federal contractors are supposed to start using E-Verify in May, though business groups are challenging the order in court. Critics point to relatively high error rates in the government databases used to determine initial eligibility. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which jointly runs the program with the Social Security Administration, estimates that about 4,000 U.S. workers in every 1 million would be initially denied eligibility because of the database errors. Groups such as the Immigration Policy Center refer to E-Verify as “deeply flawed” because of the error rates and have warned of the danger of American workers losing or risking their jobs because of the shortcomings in E-Verify. They also said E-Verify would slow the impact of the stimulus spending.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously, E-Verify is a defective verification system that puts U.S. CITIZENS out of work. 4000 errors out of every million is pathetic. If 5 Million people are screened using this system for stimulus jobs, that means that 20,000 applicants will be rejected because of this inferior program. Noone in their right mind would support E-Verify, unless they are working for the company that sells it.
We need to support the President on the stimulus plan. Who cares about 1% of the plan going to something other than stimulus? If you lose your job at the end of the month, or your house goes into foreclosure because the economy is in freefall, are you going to care about less than 1% of the plan? Not if you are sane.
Support President Obama. He is not stupid. If this plan was not any good, he wouldn't be asking us to support it.
Look at who opposes the plan. Joe the Plumber. Don't be an idiot like Joe the Plumber. Support the President. Call your Senator and ask them to vote YES on the stimulus bill.
Although we are almost there, Barack is just hours away from becoming our 44th President, I thought today about the darkest moment of the campaign for me, the beginning of September after the Republican convention when, for the first time all summer, McCain took a lead in the polls.
Candidates usually get a bump in the polls after their parties convention, but this seemed different because 1. Sarah Palin seemed to be causing a surge in McCain's popularity, and 2. a devastating new poll from the Pew Research Center suggested that Barack was lagging behind in the polls because of a lack of support from white Democrats. This Pew Research Institute is a respected and non-partisan organization, so the polling data they released seemed to be irrefutable.
I remember being very angry. How could Democrats do this to our candidate, and to our country? One of our local pastors, the great Freddy D. Haynes, addressed the issue of the poll and told us to not lose hope. Barack still could win and no matter what, God loves you regardless of color, never let anyone make you feel you are inferior because of your race.
Just days after this, as if by design, our economy sank into a deep recession, the stock market crashed, and John McCain and Sarah Palin showed how clueless and disorganized their campaign, and their minds were. Barack showed the world his wisdom, and his steady hand, ready to guide us through the new reality of a country crippled by economic disaster brought about by Bush and the Republican Congress. With each debate Obama grew in stature and not only took the lead from his opponent, but each week and each poll from then until November 4th Obama increased the gap and seized control of 11 out of 12 battleground states.
Now we are waiting for a day of joy and wonder. The inauguration of a man of justice, wisdom, and hope. We have overcome so much to reach this point, and I am thankful we made it through that dark valley in September.
We are so PROUD of Barack Obama and the entire First Family.
We are so embarrassed by the idiot we have as Governor!
To all, As Obama supporters, I think we must pay attention to the actions of our leader, Barack Obama. He has been for a bailout of the big three from day one. If W Bush had listened to him last month, the bailout money would already have been paid from the 700 Billion dollar bailout funds, and we would not be subjected to the propaganda, pandering, and lies of the Senate Republicans. The Republicans, and unfortunately, some Democrats are howling for the Big Three to be allowed to fail, to go bankrupt, and be reorganized under the new bankruptcy laws passed by Bush and the Republicans in 2005. But is this a good idea? Will it "Save the American taxpayer Billions!" ? Under the new bankruptcy laws, Corporations are free to invalidate all contracts with Unions. They could, and will, literally throw the UAW out the window. If any employees are left after the numerous factory closings, they will be treated to the same wages as are paid to Toyota Workers in Republican Richard Shelby's cesspool of Alabama, 16 or 17 dollars an hour, no pension, pathetic healthcare plan with high deductibles and premiums paid by the worker, and no job security or seniority whether you have worked for the company for 40 years or 40 minutes. But this is not even half of the devastation. Bush has passed new rules concerning pensions for retired workers, including the rules regarding money that has already been set aside for retirees, the Billions to pay pensions and ongoing healthcare costs. Companies cannot legally touch this money. Unless they go bankrupt. Then that money can be spent in any way the company sees fit. The retirees will be told that the company is bankrupt and they will receive no more pension payments and their healthcare will no longer be provided by the company. Men and women who worked their entire lives for the Big Three will be out on the street and forced to go on Medicare to get healthcare and prescription drugs. How much will this cost the taxpayer? Most likely several times the amount of the bailout, except these Billions of dollars will not be a loan, they will be unrecoverable losses for us and our children to pay. Bush and the Republicans have set this trap for us long in advance, anticipating the failure of many American companies, hoping they will be able to destroy the few remaining Unions left in America. If Bush really supported helping American workers, he would have listened to Barack Obama and released bailout funds to the Car companies last month. Do not be misled into supporting the Senate Republicans. Not only is their true agenda wrecking Unions that give Americans decent wages and working conditions, their despicable efforts will lead to you, the taxpayer, being bilked out of Hundreds of Billions of dollars in increased spending on Unemployment benefits, Welfare, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, etc., all because Union workers and Union retirees are defrauded out of benefits they worked their entire lives to receive. Ok, folks, it’s time to ramp up this group.
For anyone who is traveling to D.C. for the inauguration, please join us, if you live in NV or not. As the group expands, and hopefully within the next week, we will begin posting links, travel news, and more.
I realize everyone is busy with the holidays but to make it work, we all need to contribute to the group.
I am posting this to all the Nevada and California groups to which I belong, as well as a few, select others. The first step is joining the group and here’s the link:
Thank you to everyone who will help us enjoy the privilege of watching PE Obama take the oath of office.
