I sent this e-mail to friends. I encourage you to e-mail your friends to let them know why you're supporting Barack Obama.
Tomorrow is the Super Duper Tuesday Primary Election here in Oklahoma (as well as in Illinois, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and the caucuses in Colorado and New Mexico, among others). As some of you already know, I have been actively engaged in the Barack Obama campaign. I feel compelled to ask you to seriously consider Barack Obama as you cast your vote or caucus. Simply put, Barack Obama is the best person for the job at this time. He has the ability to inspire and to heal our nation from the partisan bickering that has been going on for the past 7 years. Barack Obama opposed the Iraq War from the beginning. When everyone was going along with the drumbeat towards war and granting Bush a blank check to rush pall mall into an invasion of Iraq, Barack Obama was addressing a rally in downtown Chicago opposing the war. He had the courage of his convictions, and the judgement to recognize this foreign policy diasater. We need Barack Obama's judgement in the White House now. I invite you to visit www.barackobama.com to learn more about this extraordinary person and where he stands on the issues. And I hope when you go into the voting booth, or into your caucus, you will stand for change in this country and vote for Barack Obama.
This Tuesday, dubbed "Super Tuesday" by political junkies and the media, is the biggest day of the 2008 presidential primary races for both parties.
Voters in your state and 23 others are expected to turn out in record numbers. We're doing our part to make sure voting rights are protected and the election is administered fairly. Please join us.
If you experience, see or hear about voting problems in your state, please call the toll-free, nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE.
That's the number. Easy to say, easy to remember. Please tell your friends and acquaintances about it. If you can, print out our flyer and post or distribute it. Fair elections depend on the vigilance of citizens like you.

Every American citizen has the right to register, vote, and have that vote count. People For the American Way Foundation's nonpartisan Election Protection program is designed to help safeguard that right.
Help us ensure that everyone's right to vote is protected -- be our eyes and ears on the ground. If you feel your rights have been violated, or see something that you feel might be a violation of someone else's rights, please call Election Protection toll-free: 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683).
The Election Protection Hotline will be staffed by attorneys at several regional call centers around the country. We are working arduously to prevent problems in 2008 before they happen, meeting with county election officials around the country to assess how things are working in their jurisdictions, and to identify and try to correct the weak spots. Finding out about problems on Tuesday will be critical in determining what work needs to done to protect voters' rights in November.
Thank you for your help in spreading the word about 1-866-OUR-VOTE.

Bring Him Home was a smashing success thanks to all of you for coming and donating to the Obama for America campaign. Carrie and I estimate we raised over $1000. Keep up the good work for Senator Obama and when he is our candidate, look for me along the campaign trail. Remember what Ernestine Dillard sang . . . "you'll be the wind beneath his wings!"
Thank you to everyone including Carrie Glenn, Ernestine Dillard, Donald Sullivan. Elaine Dodd and Gary Alison for sharing your talent and words with us!
Harry Truman was the President when I was born in 1951. I became politically aware in 1959, politically active in 1966 and disenfranchised in 1968. I have always voted when I could, but usually for the "lesser of two evils". Our government has lied cheated and stolen from us, we require a revolution. It pisses me off that the Reaganites have misappropriated the term. The Reagan Revoluton was actually a coup sans le tete. I believe Barack Obama means what he says, walks the walk and masters the talk. The revolution will occur when Barack is elected with the greatest mandate in history despite partisan Dem/GOP politics as usual. The Revolution will occur when the President of the United States owes his loyalty to the People and not the Corporations and will have started when the people think for themselves. Is War acceptable diplomacy? Not to me and not to Barack Obama. We are in a War without Honor in violation of International Law and Common Human Decency. This is the defining time of our lives in the scope of history. I pray we have the courage to change. This is our opportunity to finish what we started 40 years ago. Vote Obama every chance you get then we can really get to work.
Barack Obama can't wave a wand and make all things better, but we can. We pull the levers of government when we cast our ballots. Then we unite to become one nation, indivisible and with justice for all.
We can do it.
I was searching the internet this morning, checking to see what is going in on both for and against the movement for change. I came across this story on the Huffington Post and I was just blown away.

This might anger you but I hope that you will use it as fuel to work even harder going into Tuesday's race. These are the very people, those weighed down in ignorance and hate, that need to be inudated with Senator Obama's message of hope. Despite everything I read, my thoughtsto each of you is this (I hope it helps):
Barack is moving up in the polls in every state. I really believe we have an opportunity with SEIU workers (650,000 strong). to take California. The polls really arent taking into account the new people that Barack is bringing into the process. We really need to take at least one of the big states from Hillary- New Jersey, New York, or California.
The debate went well. Barack was cordial but took every opportunity to create distance between himself and Hillary. He KILLED on the war issue!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am excited about making new friends tommorrow morning and excited about convincing others to vote for the big O!
It looks like this thing is going to go down to the finish line in Denver. But we have got some extra states (The Chesapeake Primary) to create some distance between us and Hillary.
Does anyone know about the precedence of seating the delegates from Florida and Michigan?

I, like many others, am frustrated by our current stubborn leader. I want change... in fact, I need change. And not just a change of parties... that's not enough. Although I have a lot of respect for Senator Clinton, she cannot provide the change that this country desperately needs. Many presidents promise change, but all they ever deliver is more partisan politics. We need a leader who is passionate about making America better... one who will motivate others through his words... one who will bring the parties together... one who will fight for the people and not give in to the lobbyists... America needs Barack Obama.
Together we can change the world,
Vote Obama 2008
Sounds bytes during this campaign about readiness "Day One" keep rerunning on the airwaves. I thnk energy and enthusiasm is what sets Senator Obama apart from the other Democratic presidential candidates. Barack's proven ability to organize communities, which I have also been successful doing in my own circle of influence, takes persistance and magnetic leadership to motivate others - hence his appeal to so many of us. He can bring out the best in Americans!
I borrowed this text from my friend who responded to my invite to vote for Senator Obama. She agrees with me that we ". . . need HONEST leadership--and not more business stooges (which we seem largely to have been afflicted with since the Reagan fiasco which . . . began the erosion of the presidency). I think the current man serving in that office may even be mentally/emotionally impaired (I've thought this for some time after seeing certain things) and I've come to doubt that he is even aware of what he is used for and it is a sad case. The end of his sad and frightful term will a blessing. But I don't think it will be easy for the new president to avoid 'falling under the wheels' and being chewed up. Thank heaven he has the vigor and energy of a younger man--as that will be needed. People think youth is a disadvantage---but I think it is a necessity at this time.
