Hi, I’m Rosie Goldensohn, the coordinator of out-of-state efforts in the battleground state of Ohio.
We need your help on the ground.
Through an unprecedented grassroots effort, the Obama campaign is working with thousands of local volunteers to reach out to voters. However, polls are neck-and-neck and there is so much more left to do. We here at Ohio headquarters have calculated that we need 171 full-time volunteers to join our team here for the five weeks before Election Day in order to hit our targets. Please sign up here to come to Ohio.
As an out-of-state volunteer, you will become a full-time member of our team and an indispensible part of our plan for victory. Volunteers who join for the duration will be placed according to experience and skills, strengthening our campaign from within. You can make change where it counts the most by committing to spend the next two months, a few weeks or even a long weekend in our crucial swing state.
Even if you can’t do the full five-week stint, we need all the help we can get in order to win the Buckeye State, where George Bush won by about ten votes per precinct.
Volunteers traveling from out of state who need housing will be hosted by Obama supporters here in Ohio. You will be placed where you are needed most and work on the ground along with our field staff and other volunteers.
