Joe "You Lie" Wilson Gotta Go and 25,548+ people are showing him the door!
Be part of this remarkable grassroots effort!
It was bound to happen.
The deplorable heckling of elected officials at local Town Hall Meetings by anonymous "teabaggers" worms its way into Congress.
And this time it is even more shocking because the heckler is NOT anonymous - the heckler is a Member of the House of Representatives!!
Rep Joe Wilson (SC-02) screams out "You lie" to interrupt President Obama during his televised address to a Joint Session of Congress on health care reform.
Enough is enough! Joe Wilson's behavior is just the latest example of the destruction of civil political discourse playing out nationwide. Now is the time to hold these politicians accountable for their actions.
Joe Gotta GO !!! And more than 25,548 patriots who support President Obama have responded to show Joe the door!
As of 9 AM Sept 17, 25,548 people donated more than $941,384 to support the campaign of Rob Miller, a Democrat and Marine Corp veteran who is running against Rep Wilson in 2010.
Miller ran against Wilson in 2008 and took in 46% of the vote!!
Hey, wanna contribute to Rob Miller's 2010 campaign to oust Joe Wilson?
Here's the link. Pick a page (even the titles will bring a smile to your face) and drop a few bucks:

A few dollars sent to Miller’s campaign to beat Joe “You Lie” Wilson will make you feel great!!
ActBlue updates their site often, so you can even check back and see how the donations are adding up!
(Go ahead; call me a starry-eyed optimist, but I'd like to see the donations to Miller top $1 million).
NOTE: and if one "You Lie" lobbed at President Obama by Joe Wilson is not enough, here is a NEW VIDEO from remorseless Wilson that uses his disrespect for the President and how he is being attacked by liberals as a springboard to solicit funds for his campaign!

Hello All,
I’m happy to report that service events in support of the community are alive and well.
On Saturday, August 22, several local grass-root organizations collaborated on the service event, “Supplies For Change”. The donation drop-off areas were located at Shaker Square; an immensely popular location for the community. The organizers of the North Union Farmer’s Market generously donated a tent for us to receive donations in the morning. The Coral Company opened the doors of the former Obama Campaign headquarters for us to use this space in the afternoon.
In summary, cash donations exceeded $260. In addition, we collected a vast variety of useful school supplies that filled many bags and boxes. The items were donated to the Adlai Stevenson School, a K-8 school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the monetary donations were used by the CMSD to purchase school supplies for Audubon School on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
The organizers of this event thank everyone for their generosity and support. “Supplies For Change” may become an annual event, and we look forward to your continued interest and support.
All the best,
Maureen

Hello Northeast Ohio Obama Volunteers,
I hope this note finds everyone well. I am reminded of how much I enjoy our Ohio summer days.
Since the First 100 Days Event held in April, many of us have directed our attention to participating in local days of service, volunteering in our communities, and finding other ways to "walk the talk". Health Care reform is on everyone's mind as it the state of the economy and unemployment in Ohio. We still have much work before us to do.
There are two very important items that I want to bring to your attention.
The first is the article written by Margaret Bernstein in the Plain Dealer on Sunday July 19. This is a six-month follow-up to the President's Inauguration with a focus on the activities of the Obama Volunteers.
Here is the link to the Margaret Bernstein article:

The second thing is that President Obama is scheduled to come to Shaker Heights on Thursday, July 23. It is listed on the www.shaker.org website:
The Shaker Heights City School District is delighted to host a Town Hall meeting with President Barack Obama on Thursday afternoon, July 23. Tickets are required and are to be allocated by lottery. Ticket requests may be made by visiting the White House website until 3:00 p.m. on July 21. Due to limited space at the event, the White House will only be able to fulfill a limited number of requests for tickets.
The link to apply for tickets (distributed by lottery) is here:

Best wishes,
There are indications from the survey that Obama also may have an early advantage in mobilizing and turning out Ohio voters over the next month. He has more enthusiastic supporters than McCain does, and has reached more voters in Ohio than his rival. Nearly four in 10 voters said they have already been contacted by someone from the Obama campaign either by phone or in person. That is significantly higher than the number who said they have heard from the McCain campaign. It also is higher than the number who said they had been called or visited by the campaigns of President Bush or Democrat John F. Kerry in mid-October four years ago. Including e-mail and text messages this year, the Obama campaign has contacted 43 percent of all voters and the McCain campaign has been in touch with 33 percent. Both sides have reached out to the party faithful, but Obama has done somewhat better at targeting independents.

Check it out, it tells how much you will save and what the difference is between Obama and McCain's tax plans in dollars from your pocketbook.

We are beginning our canvassing efforts and phone banking this week and could use more help. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact me at huntress58@att.net.
I will be creating a schedule for this weekend as well as the canvassing events we have listed for Tuesday and Wednesday.

As I watched the Democrative National Convention last night I was so eager to hear Michelle Obama. I have heard her speak several times before. I think think her appearance on TV One's special with Roland Martin was excellant. To me, she is a great speaker. She is authentic and strong.
However, last night she took herself beyond the norm. Not only was her speech well written, it was, executed with passion and grace. Her speech came from within. Every word she spoke was filled with a desire to share her heart. She did an excellent job and showed why she was make a great First Lady.
There is not too much more that I can say, but, "Michelle, You Go Girl!"
Although this is my first post, this is most certainly not my first point of involvment or interest in the 2008 Presidential Race. For the past 12 months of the 19 months of the race I have watched closely. I have listened to the candidates with an open heart, though difficult at times. I only missed a couple of debates (due to evening classes). I am proud of America, we have made great strides in such a short time. Within the past decade we have experienced the best and worst of times in our nation. From the celebration of the New Millinium, to the Septemer 11 attacks, to the rise and fall of our nation's economy. Through all of this, Americans have come together (to agree and disagree).
No matter the issues and no matter the background we have all come to one conclusion- The United States of America is need of change.
This is why I support Senator Barack Obama, he represents change in every sense of the word. However, I must say that I too respect Senator John McCain as he served our nation during the Vietnam War- as my father did.
We have now come to a time in history that we must take action. It is up to the American people to consider both candidates, support them, and go out and VOTE for them in November.
I found this through one of my groups complete with the sources. It has great information for those of you who are in contact with McCain supporters.
Just a reminder that we need to stop the lies and misrepresentation of the facts. Here is the link to the Fight the Smears page on the website. Also be sure to fact check at http://www.factcheck.org.
