Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing Hillary blubber on and on about Michigan and Florida?! She has gone so far as to twist the facts into such a way that will help her achieve her goal of winning. Sound familiar????!!!! AH-HEM.......Iraq?! I can't believe that no one else is shutting her up about this. She is making herself look bad and undermining the party rules that those states clearly violated. Those votes should have counted in a perfect world, but the truth is that there was not a fair race in either state because the candidates were under the impression that PARTY ELECTION RULES were going to be upheld! Now she says she has the popular vote with those states...that is a completely false statement and makes me very nervous about her decision-making skills.

Is Inequality Making Us Sick?:
In Sickness and in Wealth
Thursday, March 27, 9:00pm Central Time
Debut: How socioeconomic inequalities affect one's health.
A must see!
Airing on most Public TV Stations
Hour #1:
“In Sickness and In Wealth” travels to Louisville, Kentucky, not to examine health care but to discover what makes us sick in the first place. The lives of a CEO, lab supervisor, janitor and unemployed mother illustrate how social class shapes access to power, resources and opportunity, resulting in a health-wealth gradient. On average, people at the top live longer, healthier lives. Those at the bottom are more disempowered, get sicker more often and die sooner. Most of us fall somewhere in between.
Hour #2:
Hour 2 is made up of two segments. “When the Bough Breaks” examines the mystery of the Black-white infant mortality gap, while “Becoming American” sheds light on the shifting health status of newly arrived Latino immigrants.
Hour #3
Hour 3 is made up of two segments. “Bad Sugar” explores the causes and effects of diabetes within two Native American communities. “Place Matters” connects the dots between health, wealth and zip codes.
Hour #4
Hour 4 consists of two segments: “Collateral Damage” traces the health challenges of Marshall Islanders from the South Pacific to Springdale, Arkansas, while “Not Just a Paycheck” explores the toll taken by layoffs and job insecurity in western Michigan.

I'm sorry, but I've heard the pro's and con's of this dilema, and I can not believe there is the chance those two states will get to vote twice! I think letting the first set of votes count is unthinkable not to mention unfair, but these states knew beforehand that their votes wouldn't count. Now, whatever they did or did not do change that is past...you can't stand up in the middle of a game and protest the rules that you knew when this 'game' began. I do not think it is right for their votes to be disregarded, that's not the point of a democracy. However, since that is the playing field that was set up - those states must live with those choices and lobby for change for the next election.
Sorry-but a re-vote does not seem democratic to me. We can't demand a re-vote every time things don't go a certain way. Would anyone be demanding a re-vote if one of the candidates were ahead by a larger margin? No...so their votes don't REALLY count, only when it's close.
Are you fired up? Are you ready to go? I am ready to win Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island, and the rest of the states so we can wrap this thing up and move toward the final goal....the White House!!!!
I believe....do You?

I spent the day today at the SLC Obama Headquarters volunteering. We all stopped and watched the Kennedy family endorse Obama. I felt so proud to witness the moment and tears welled up as Caroline spoke so eloquently and I remembered pictures of her playing with her father. Now, so poised and well-spoken.
Excitedly expecting Obama's visit here Saturday morning, by the end of the day it had been cancelled out of respect for President Hinckley and his funeral that morning.
Anyway, it was so much fun calling people today and chatting with them about the primary and the issues. We also still need a lot of canvassers to go door to door so if you can, please consider it. With all the countless people I talked with today, everyone was very nice and no one slammed the phone down on me. I look forward to going back and continuing to be sure that Obama secures the presidency and bring honor back to our country.
I am ssooo excited! I'm a volunteer on the Obama campaign and I received a call this afternoon that Obama is coming to Salt Lake City this coming Saturday, February 2nd. We don't have many details yet, just that he will be here between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. That night, there will be a party/fundraiser.
I will post more details as I learn them.
