Joe "You Lie" Wilson Gotta Go and 25,548+ people are showing him the door!
Be part of this remarkable grassroots effort!
It was bound to happen.
The deplorable heckling of elected officials at local Town Hall Meetings by anonymous "teabaggers" worms its way into Congress.
And this time it is even more shocking because the heckler is NOT anonymous - the heckler is a Member of the House of Representatives!!
Rep Joe Wilson (SC-02) screams out "You lie" to interrupt President Obama during his televised address to a Joint Session of Congress on health care reform.
Enough is enough! Joe Wilson's behavior is just the latest example of the destruction of civil political discourse playing out nationwide. Now is the time to hold these politicians accountable for their actions.
Joe Gotta GO !!! And more than 25,548 patriots who support President Obama have responded to show Joe the door!
As of 9 AM Sept 17, 25,548 people donated more than $941,384 to support the campaign of Rob Miller, a Democrat and Marine Corp veteran who is running against Rep Wilson in 2010.
Miller ran against Wilson in 2008 and took in 46% of the vote!!
Hey, wanna contribute to Rob Miller's 2010 campaign to oust Joe Wilson?
Here's the link. Pick a page (even the titles will bring a smile to your face) and drop a few bucks:
http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/19079
A few dollars sent to Miller’s campaign to beat Joe “You Lie” Wilson will make you feel great!!
ActBlue updates their site often, so you can even check back and see how the donations are adding up!
(Go ahead; call me a starry-eyed optimist, but I'd like to see the donations to Miller top $1 million).
NOTE: and if one "You Lie" lobbed at President Obama by Joe Wilson is not enough, here is a NEW VIDEO from remorseless Wilson that uses his disrespect for the President and how he is being attacked by liberals as a springboard to solicit funds for his campaign!

Hello All,
I’m happy to report that service events in support of the community are alive and well.
On Saturday, August 22, several local grass-root organizations collaborated on the service event, “Supplies For Change”. The donation drop-off areas were located at Shaker Square; an immensely popular location for the community. The organizers of the North Union Farmer’s Market generously donated a tent for us to receive donations in the morning. The Coral Company opened the doors of the former Obama Campaign headquarters for us to use this space in the afternoon.
In summary, cash donations exceeded $260. In addition, we collected a vast variety of useful school supplies that filled many bags and boxes. The items were donated to the Adlai Stevenson School, a K-8 school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the monetary donations were used by the CMSD to purchase school supplies for Audubon School on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
The organizers of this event thank everyone for their generosity and support. “Supplies For Change” may become an annual event, and we look forward to your continued interest and support.
All the best,
Maureen

Last night at about 7 pm my phone rang. I answered, there was a short delay, and then a man's voice began speaking. This was an automated call.
The man's voice was hostile in tone. I was not able to record the message - I wish I could have. And so I will relay what was said though I am not 'quoting' exactly. Working from memory here.
But first. How insulting to call me at home with an automated message. Give me a real person please. My caller ID recorded this number - I recommend that you call them. You can leave a voice message on the phone, which I did. I asked that they call me back which so far, they have not. 877-431-2572
The message was telling me the following basic facts. I should not vote for Obama. The message claimed that when we were facing our financial crisis, McCain put his campaign on hold and led the country with honor and true leadership skills. Obama spent a few hours and then hurried over to a fundraiser with those Hollywood people. Who do I want in office, a true leader or a Hollywood supporter?
It was short, brief, and read with a great deal of anger.
If I had been an undecided voter, I would have become an Obama supporter after this call. When our country is facing the enormous and complicated and all encompassing problems that we are now facing, any intelligent person recognizes that in order for all of us to succeed, we must work together. It's one thing to have differing points of view. It's another to simply stand in the shadows and throw mud.
I am so looking forward to tonight's debate. McCain is so confused right now and his people are simply mean. The country needs to watch how a true leader takes the control from McCain.
The amount of hate and divisiveness that McCain and his sidekick have stirred up, and endorsed, frightens me. I remember the Vietnam era of protesting, the aftermath of the civil rights movement and the riots. I worry about Obama's safety. I worry about the safety of Obama supporters. The ignorance is simply amazing.
I would much prefer that the campaign was a fight between ideas. McCain and Palin can't win the fair fight of arguing ideas. They are like the bully in 7th grade. I would love to know what their emotional IQ is.
Anyone else get one of these calls?
Wow. What a stark difference between the conventions and between our choices this year.
As mention previously, I've watched and recommend watching the convention coverage on C-Span because it is live feed without the commentators and without the camera view being censored by the media.
Camera censorship? Yes, what they want you to see and what they don't want you to see. And it has happened over and over again.
The republicans at the convention, I assume, represent the whole of republicans choosing to vote for McCain. (We love our republican friends and recognize that not all republicans are alike) But the crowd at this convention speaks volumes. They all look alike. Where's the diversity in this crowd?
One of the most admirable feats that Obama has accomplished already is bringing America 'together'. Look at the crowd shots at the democrat convention. You see people of all races, all ages, sitting together in a blended way. You don't see that at the other convention.
Working on Obama's campaign here in Ohio, I've had the great pleasure and honor to meet people that my normal life had not previously provided a pathway to. I've met people of different races, U.S. citizens that came here from other countries, people that English is their second language, and people from all age groups, both male & female, and people from all classes - rich, poor, and folks like me in the middle.
And we are, through this campaign, finding common ground. Not just to elect Obama. It goes beyond that. We want to participate in our government, we want our government to wake up and recognize they WORK FOR US, that we pay their salary & benefits. We want a constitutional representation. We haven't had that in Washington for years - we are reclaiming our rights as citizens.
We may never live in the same neighborhoods, send our kids to the same schools, work in the same industries, but we are learning how to join with our diversity as opposed to allowing our diversity to separate us.
I'm really quite surprised that no one in the media has picked up on this. There is a stark difference. That convention (for the republicans) represents EVERYTHING that is wrong with our country. They spew hate and intolerance. They stand on their interpretation of the Bible and point their so called morality finger at the rest of the country promising the wrath of God on anyone that disagrees with them.
I would be ashamed of myself and my family if we were part of the representation we see at the republican convention.
We MUST deliver Ohio this year. All other states too, but Ohio is a must. If I find that Ohio residents are more inclined to vote AGAIN for hate + fear, then I'll be moving. Not to Alaska, but somewhere where people want to work together to make this country and the world a safer, more peaceful, more positively pro-active place for my grandkids to live in.
I don't know if anyone ever reads these posts, but if you've been 'thinking' about getting involved with volunteering for the Obama/Biden ticket - NOW is the time. If you don't know what is available, or what to do - here's my phone number - call me. I'll put you in touch with a local field rep. 440-471-4179

If you have the ability to watch c-span on cable TV - I highly recommend it when watching the convention. It is a live feed so you see and hear the actual event - without the interruptions of news commentators. I wanted to hear the speeches just as they were delivered - and it was fantastic! C-span shows the entire program - mainstream media decides for you what is important and what isn't.
If you missed Former Representative Jim Leach of Iowa's speech, youtube has it. Excellent! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6981BGSPnNU I have a feeling mainstream media didn't share this with their audience.
Also - this was the first time I'd ever heard Jesse Jackson Jr. speak. Wow.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY-gnrbvQkE
All that came to the microphone offered more insight in to why Obama is a man we can trust. We heard from local IL politicians attesting to Obama's skills at bringing ALL people together in a common cause. We heard from ordinary people that have been inspired by this campaign.
What I didn't know until last night was the connection between Senator Kennedy and Obama.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IDN4b58pTU
Michelle, her brother, Barack's sister each spoke and each were so authentic and inspiring.
I haven't read the news yet this morning but I'm sure they're picking everything apart. You can watch most of the speeches on c-span and if you don't have cable TV you can watch on your computer live from their site - http://dnc08.c-span.org
I hope the whole world was watching this last night. It was a testimony to believing we have the power, as a group of individuals with our own personal motivations, to come together to work towards a common higher purpose. I do believe, with Obama in office, our country can be restored to the honorable place it once held. Leading by example, we have the power to help other countries find peace within their own borders applying these same principles.
Let's stay busy and keep our eyes on the finish line!
This is not the first time we've heard McCain flirt with the idea of bring back the draft. But for all those folks on the fence right now, understand. This is a military man through and through. He revels in the idea of war. He's never been so excited as he's been these last 2 weeks - relishing in the Georgia/Russia conflict. His eyes light up with the very thought of waging war.
Yesterday (8/20/08) he confirmed this ugly truth again in a town hall meeting. Go to http://thinkprogress.org/2008/08/20/mccain-support-draft to read & hear him say so.
I lived through the draft the last time. I protested and also fought for the right of 18 year olds to vote. Back then, only boys were drafted. It's a different world now. If the draft was reenacted, it would, thanks to the movement to ensure equal treatment of women in the service, include girls.
How many parents do you know now that would support the draft?
If you haven't watched this yet, please do so. Excellent overview of where we are right now and what we need to do to win in November -http://blip.tv/file/1176291
Thank you Move On !
Check out these articles. They must be true, Jerome Corsi wrote them.

It's not enough that Obama has to fight the right wing fear based war loving elite. Now, days before the convention, we see a handful of Democrats going on MSNBC stirring up concerns about his ability to get elected. I am so pssssd about these folks - HRC started this conversation of doubt, and her harden supporters are keeping this up.
Watch this interview from last night's Hardball -

Good lord. What is the matter with these 15 members of congress and mayors? I want to know who they are. Does anyone know?
Editorial opinions coming in from the folks that backed a losing campaign strategy.
I can't believe the reporting on the 'conversation with Rick Warren'.
It was not a debate as is now being described. It was set up, by a preacher, in a church, to be a conversation with Warren for the purpose of allowing the American public to 'see in to the hearts' of these 2 men.
McCain seized the opportunity to turn it in to a campaign speech. Obama, took Warren on his word and complied by being very open about what makes him tick, how he feels about things, you know, the retrospective thinking involved in spirituality.
Obama let the public in to his heart, so-to-speak. McCain showed us, without any pretense, that he is an agent of WAR.
I am so shocked at the small mindedness of the masses. Of the obvious love for hate and war. If that is what being an Evangalist is, then I am so thankful I am not anything like them. It seems, their God likes war just as much as the radical middle-eastern God likes war.
I like the God that Obama believes in. One with discernment, humility, honor, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, and dare I say it, love.
Wow, really great article. http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080901/borosage_kvh
Progressives in the Obama Movement
I was so impressed (again) with Obama last night watching the Saddleback interview with Warren. Lord only knows how the media will pick it apart and analyze it, but I think it was hands down a winner for Obama.
We have two choices. A militant approach to everything - or an intellectual responsible long-reaching thinker who will act after he has the facts.
If you like war and like force as the answer then you clearly have your guy. If you are wealthy and not concerned with your fellow citizens, then you have your guy. If you are willing to continue to sacrifice our youth to a military mindset (death and killing), then you have your guy.
If you want a fundamental change to our approach to taxes, social responsibility, self-responsibility, education, economy, energy, environment, and foreign policies, then you have one choice, Obama. If you hope to see the human race (across the planet) evolve towards peace and cooperation, then Obama is your guy.
Obama didn't do or say anything in this interview that contradicts what he's been saying and doing all along. I hope the American public sees that. Obama is a man of integrity and has the kind of strength that we so desperately need to bring people together for the common good.
I was shocked to hear the approving applause in a church to McCain's stance on war, and his inability to define what being 'rich' is as it applied to taxes. I believe a 'church forum' in rural America would have seen a different reaction.
I'm proud to be an Obama supporter.
In case you missed it, Jackson Browne is sueing McCain and The RNC for using his song in one of their ad campaigns without permission. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/14/jackson-browne-sues-mccai_n_118977.html
Also, watch this video by Browne, 'Lives in Balance' about the U.S. and our 'wars'.
I have copied and pasted the following email note I've received today from Denise Kucinich. http://kucinich.us/
September 10th: The day before our world changed, a day to change the world!
Dear Friends,
On August 1st, I delivered to Speaker Nancy Pelosi; a petition bearing the names of over 100,000 Americans that, like us, feel that the President must be held accountable for abusing executive power and disregarding his Constitutional obligations.
Your voices have been heard and your support continues to send a powerful message to lawmakers. That is why I call on you again to help us in a new effort to deliver 1 Million signatures to Speaker Pelosi on September 10, 2008.
Together we can:
We need your active participation to deliver 1 Million signatures to Congress by September 10, 2008.
Please give at least ten of your friends the opportunity to stand up for our country - the way you and I have, by inviting them to sign the impeachment petition online at www.Kucinich.us. Send your friends an email invitation to sign the petition by clicking here.
Together we can make September 10, the day before the world changed, a day we change the world!
Thank you for your active and ongoing citizenship.

*Lancet reported 650,000 war-related Iraqi civilian deaths as of October, 2006. Nearly two years later, a reasonable projection of the conservative Lancet estimate would place war-related Iraqi civilian deaths at least 1 million.
Thank you John Kerry - go to http://www.truthfightsback.com/site/smear/236 to begin reading the systematic fact checking that's being done with Corsi's book.
No need to buy the book, you can read the most important lies from Kerry's site.
Here's my question: Some of the lies are so hateful and awful, some against Obama's mother, geesh. Certainly this author should be liable for defamation of character. Can't he be sued for this?
This is an interesting site - see http://www.fivethirtyeight.com Lots of good statistical info - predicting a close election with Obama winning. Very close in the popular vote according to this. But a slam dunk on the electorial votes.
The only thing that makes sense to me (regarding the close popular vote) is that the false garbage being spewed about Obama is actually being taken seriously. It's embarrassing to be part of the human race sometimes. Geesh.
I hope this link to youtube works, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdJUCU1UH2w
One of the lists I am on sent this. Listen to McCain 'there's going to be more wars' statements. What would he do if he were in power now with Russia? I have 2 precious grandchildren that have their whole lives ahead of them. I worry so much about where we are taking this country.
Has anyone seen this latest one, called, 'the one'. http://www.johnmccain.com/tvads
Clearly this is meant to scare the religious right wing. Disgusting.
I almost threw the TV out the window yesterday. Clearly the 'news' stations are manipulating and weaving truth with rumor and opinion. Clearly the power of our press is catering to McCain.
Where are all the Democrate 'heavy weights' right now? I saw one blurb from Kerry denouncing the 2 white chicks ad, but Obama deserves much more. I read this morning that Obama is leaning towards pulling back on the offshore drilling debate - where is Gore and the others that can take this argument to the people on behalf of Obama. He needs third party validation right now. He can't personally delve in to a tit for tat mudslinging exchange yet his positions need to be supported.
