As Americans we can not effectively end child abuse without first recognizing the abuser and then providing them with rehabilitation, in addition to protecting abused American children.
Focusing on how we can end abusive cycles for future American generations is a public health crisis that often goes over looked and silently accepted. "oh, she is just a Broken Mom, she will never change." We believe that it is unacceptable to let a Broken Mom go without recognition and treatment. We have seen some of the most Broken Moms who never thought change was possible, their families gave up on them, their kids still do not speak to them...but with the help of our Ministry we have seen miraculous changes in these Recovering Broken Moms. Ultimately this translates into healthy productive American Citizens....American Mothers, the back bone, the heart, the strength of America. We work hard to lift up Broken Moms as our American duty to the millions of Broken Moms who feel they have no voice, we speak up for them, won't you join us? www.brokenmoms.com
The First Step Towards Change Is Awareness. The Second Is Acceptance.
Our organization is a nationwide public awareness campaign that was created in 2006 through the vision and courage of Founder Liana Preble. We are dedicated to reaching moms who are struggling in motherhood and suffering in silence due to shame, fear and the stigma that is attached to struggling moms in our society. Over the past two years through our online communities we have provided and successfully intervened thousands of mothers in hundreds of circumstances who were suffering in silence. Regardless of your childs age, if you are suffering and need help please reach out to the services we provide or contact us. You don't have to suffer, help is available.
Hi! We made history. When Barack Obama was elected President today it was because of a trillion small acts from millions of Americans ovet the past 2 years that has brought us to this moment. Every little thing we do has an impact be it big or small. Every little thing can matter a great deal. A little push is all it takes to set off a chain of dominos.
Each of you has contributed to this moment in history. We've each given what we could. Please take a moment to reflect and write down some of the things you did that mattered most to you, or write down everything you did. It doesn't matter. Then, pass this on to everyone you know who contributed time, energy, and/or money to this effort so they can be included.
Please cc meltzer7@charter.net . We'd like to see how the list grows.
Jess in MA: Phonebanking, postcard writing/organizing, event hosting, and lots of other stuff. Jonathan Meltzer (Berlin MA) Standing in the rain with 700 other volunteers listening to Barack speak before heading out to door knock on the first day of canvassing in NH April 2007.... Convincing a woman in Nashua at 5:30 PM primary day who was not going to vote to go to the polls and vote for Barack.... organizing a massive student outreach in MA, VT, NH, NY and RI to get college students from NH to register and vote absentee in NH....
Emma RUddock (mass HQ) - pulling an all nighter at the Mass Headquarters with some amazing people and entering data, my amazing college dems leaders who's enthusiasm is so incredible and inspiring, realizing after the NH primaries that this was not going to be easy but that we were going to do it anyway, succeeding in convincing my parents to let me take the year off from college to work fulltime on the campaign, meeting some of the most incredible people that I have ever gotten to know, voting in my first presidential election
McCain and Palin, I mean, they really are, aren't they? Do they honestly think anyone but their precious base cares about the smears coming out of their camp?
I really don't think someone who just lost their job and is struggling in this job market to find another one before their family is put out on the street cares about this crap.
I really don't think those Americans that have already been put out on the street care about it, either.
Or those who are going bankrupt due to outrageous health care expenses. Or those that have no insurance. Or those who have sons and daughters in Iraq.
We need anwers, and they don't have them, so this is what they are left with. Someone says the unemployment rate is up, and what do they say? Ayers. How sad for us all. No help there.
How decidedly unpatriotic of them to disregard the welfare of Americans this way.
Thank goodness we have two people running who do have answers!
Next he has made this choice trying to pander to the HRC supporters. Once again McCain shows his utter disdain for women by trying to placate us with this choice. I will tell you as a woman, a former HRC supporter and an American with a brain, it won’t work. NO WAY would I take the chance with my children’s lives and vote for a man who’s first big decision was to put this person on his ticket. There are men & women in the Republican party that actually have qualifications to be the VP, heck a lot have more qualifications than McCain to be President.
Those aren't just words to me, or a catchy phrase. To me, they sum up how I feel perfectly. I see firsthand the disasterous state our economy is in, because I live it everyday. It's an unspeakable feeling to have to choose between paying your essential bills and buying food for your family. Many Americans know that is not a dramitization in an attempt to drive a point home-it's the cold hard truth.
People in this country that just got by even one year ago are unable to do so now. It's not from lack of trying, or ideas, or an unwillingness to work at it. It is frankly impossible.
So when I hear/see some people say that they can stand four more years just like this, I do get angry. For they will be in the shape financially then that some of us are in now. The ones of us that are in it now....
Poverty in a country that is supposed to be the richest in the world. Significant levels of hunger, homelessness is a nation that is the richest in the world. It's a total disgrace.
This is the single most important election in my lifetime, for we are truly at a crossroads as a nation, as a people. Our lives as we know them are at stake here and now. If i could tell him, I would tell McCain to stop, this is not a damn game-this is serious business. You are messing with people's lives here. When I see these ridiculous ads, it reinforces the notion that I have that he thinks, like his former advisior, that this is due to some failing on our parts, that we are whining, that we just need to get over it and stop complaining- in short, he dismisses it and the plight that millions of Americans are going through on a daily basis, he doesn't care.

politicususa.com — The Obama campaign has come out with a preemptive strike rebuttal of the soon to be released book “Obama Nation” by Jerome Corsi. The 41 page document calls Corsi’s allegations about Obama rehashed lies, “As you might expect from the book’s shoddy foundation, many of its claims are also completely false..."

To My Obama Family
A friend of mine said some time back that we are in trying times, and we as ObamaNation have been given an awesome charge to complete. If we fail at the charge that has been given to us by the source of higher being, than we have failed at redeming ourselves. We have to stand strong as one voice, one power, and one determination for one outcome. And that outcome is for Barack Obama to become the next POTUS. Our children, and grandchildren are depending on us to get this thing right. "We Are The Change".
