Our schools here in NV are in terrible shape and something must be done. Many parents don't seem to grasp the urgeny of the situations we find ourselves in right now. Our schools already rank in the bottom of the nation when it comes to funding, graduation rates, and test scores. Yet we rank high on all the things none of us should be proud of like drop out rates and teen pregnancy. We can do better for our kids and now is the time to stop sitting around and allowing our children to continue to be short changed. Our kids deserve the best education possible. Yet the state of Nevada has decided that educating our kids is not important. I'm looking for those parents who want to do something about the state of education in the state. On Sunday Feb 8th I'm holding a house meeting to organize parents to get involved in schools and start working to make our schools better. Come out and support our kids and the education initiatives facing our state. Let's put our brains together and figure a way to improve our schools. Each and every parent has a part to play and we need parents to get involved in our cause. In addition to our Adopt a Teacher initiative we are starting an email campaign to get our legislators to make education a priority in the state of Nevada. On Feb 8th join us in writing email to legislators to tell them to make education a priority. Our children need us to fight for them to improve education.
Many of you have heard the news regarding the budget cuts to Clark County School District. It is time for parents to stop standing by while education is cut yet again. If you are a parent with a student in the Clark County school district you need to act. You need to get involved. Our kids are counting on us to speak up for them. Contact your legislator and demand that they make education funding a priority. As parents we can no longer stand by and do nothing.

On Feb 8th Adopt a Teacher by donating gift cards or office supplies to be donated to area teacher. Our teachers need our help to educate our kids.
Recently there was a news article which attempted to lay blame for NV education crisis on the feets of parents. As a concerned parent with two kids in the Clark County School District I was angered at the thought. But as I read I have to tell you some question came to mind. The article titled "Parents share blame for education woes". The authored asked many question which I feel we need to asking ourselves and those around us. How many parent are actually involved in our children's education? How many of us knows the names of our children's teacher? How many of us attend open houses? How many of us attend PTA meetings and actively participate? How many of us ensure the TV, video games, and radios are off and homework is done? Recently I was speaking to a parent and she was complaining about her kids having to take the proficiency exam. She explained that she didn't feel it was fair that her kids had to take a test on math that they didn't learn in school. That is the attitude of many parents and yet we have to ask why is there such low expectations for our students. Why is the test so hard for so many of our students and yet others are able to pass. Our students are not being prepared at home and sometimes in the schools. The fact that some are passing is an indication that some students are being taught what is on the test. Many parents are not ensuring that there students are taking math beyond algebra in school. So when it comes time to take the test the student is lost. I explained to that parent that if she knew the test contained algebra then it was her responsibility to ensure that her student was receiving help in algebra. She should have been monitoring her grades and when the student began to struggle she should have gotten her tutoring. The school district provides tutoring help for students and yet many parents don't utilize it. Many of our teachers are in the classrooms before school and stay late after school to tutor our kids. I get angry when I hear people complain about our teachers. They do a great job with limited resources and little thanks. They receive little if any support from many parents. The failures of our schools does to a degree lay on our feet and until we all step up and help our schools they are going to continue to fail.
Everyday our schools are struggling with limited resources. On Feb 8th I'm launching a Adopt a Teacher program to start helping to ensure that our teachers have the resources they need to be effective in the classroom. Join me by donating gift cards to be distributed to area teachers to ensure that our classrooms have what they need. If interested contact me at mspatrina@yahoo.com. It's time for our communities to get involved and stop complaining about our schools. It's time to go into our schools and make them better. I want to challenge anyone reading this to join a PTA. Any PTA for any school they can all use more help. Take time to go into the classroom and help. They can all use volunteers. Any investment in education whether by time or money is never wasted. This is the future of our state we are talking about!
On Feb 8th, 2009 I'm holding a community meeting to get parents, and the community more involved in the issues facing education. My house meeting is my attempt to get others to join me in Adopting our Teachers. We are all aware of what challenges our teachers and our schools face. Please join me in doing our part to show our teachers that we care about education here in Nevada. I'm attempting to purchase gift cards to be distributed to area teachers to be able to purchase the much needed school supplies. Many of you know about the budget cuts the school district is facing and the results of those are going to affect all our children. A dollar spent today on education is a dollar saved down the road by educating our young people. Please join me in doing something to assist our struggling school district and to show our teachers education does matter to us.
I am reading Obama's agenda for education. Much about early childhood education, teacher mentoring, adequate funding for NCLB...
So I would like to enlighten you from a teacher's perspective. Let's start with assessment:
Assessment is a necessary tool we use to gauge our progress- both that of teacher, and student. However, assesment under NCLB relies on a battery of standardized tests- tests that are not necessarily designed to reflect the curriculum, and are used with such increasing vigor, that teachers are basically stuck 'teaching for the test' in an all-or-nothing frenzy to adhere to the its standards. The problem with this is:
1) The test mandates the curriculum, the sequence, and the scope of what is being taught instead of vice versa. In this all-or-nothing mentality, the teacher is restricted in their pedagogy to making sure students are able to fill in the correct answer: not necessarily comprehend.
2) Testing is only one form of assessment. What if every American had to prove their competency at their job every year being judged by a test- and only that? Can teamwork, leadership, innovation, commitment, and initiative be assessed in these tests? Yet aren't these qualities that each and every one of us, in our adult lives, must excel at in order to be successful? Assessment under NCLB is limited, and compromises our nation's youth in the hindrance of the development of skills that are truly necessary, not just to show mastery of a curriculum, but in order to succeed and be competitive someday in what is a global workplace- a global economy.
3) This is a social issue, not just an academic one. Too often our bright students are not given the opportunity to fully develop thier skills due to factors beyond the teacher's control. Speaking from real experience, I have eldest child students who cannot devote enough time to their studies because they are busy raising their siblings. And their families- parents often working 2+ jobs to make ends meet, have no viable alternatives. Furthermore, many of our nations youth negelct their academic obligations as they become seduced by MTV fueled fantasies of gang culture, sexual expectations, and substance abuse. How can a teacher engage the student newly commited to gang expectations, if family members are also involved? Parents who are addicted? In jail? The truth is, many teachers deal with these issues every day. Until there is something else to change the homelife of many of our youth, there will be many bright students who slip through the cracks. This is the biggest hurdle that NCLB does not address! If the social issues facing our youth are ignored, many of our children will make a marginal effort in school simply because there is no promise, no expectation, that they can see in their lives away from school.
4) My same frustatrion with assessment models is also an issue for teachers in becoming "highly qualified". For the first time, I will commit in writing my own horror story in becoming hightly qualified.
Remember the problems with ETS incorrectly scoring the exams of teachers who took the Praxis series? Well, that happened. I eventually got my money back, but the real cost was time: the deadline in submitting passing scores in order to keep my job. My first year teaching I injured my hand, and it kept me from being able write properly with pen or pencil. Due to the time issue, I decided to submit a request for an accomodation in order to complete the essay portion in some other format besides pen or pencil. I followed all procedures, including letters from doctors which were lucid and precise, regarding my inability to write for an extended period of time. ETS denied the accomodation, basically deciding, over more than one doctor's specific instructions, what I was physically able to do. This happened twice and I attempted to take the tast, failing miserably, and turning a chronic injury into a permanent one (which I regret). Yes, I do realize I could sue them.
The interesting thing about the test scores themselves was that on all bubbble portions, (which I was able to do with my non-dominant hand, I scored above the 90th percentile; coupled by failing scores on the essay porion, which I could never complete, pencil literally duct-taped to my curled-up hand. I had a hard time making an issue of this as a disability because my life, other than the problems with Praxis, went on relatively unaffected. How many of us could still be competent in our jobs without ever having to use a pencil, or open a jar? Well that was my situation. The thing is, I was willing to take that portion of the test in any other format ETS was willing to provide. After qutie literally submitting stacks of medeical documentation to my State Board, my union, and basically anyone else I thought might help, I was finally allowed an accomodation. Originally I was told I would be given a scribe, but was told to type my essay the last time I arrived at the testing center.
And surprise!- the resulting score went throught the roof! I actually received a National Award of Excellence for receiving top scores among teachers nationwide! My point is this: ETS was (wrongly) dead-set on assessing my scores in one, and only one, format regardless of medical documentation. In one format- I was a failure; in another I received National recognition.
Take a good look at ETS (Education Testing Services). After George W. Bush took office, he relocated its headquaters to Texas, which I believe was a political favor, and the problems began. SATs wrongly scored! MCATs wrongly scored! Deserving students denied admission! Teachers wrongly scored and fired as a result! I think very few citizens are aware of the cost ETS has placed on the workforce of young professionals today. But this is only part of a larger problem.
Assessment, be it professionals, or university students, cannot take place in only one format. Aside from the potential for error, which is great, assessment of a student's, or teacher's potential cannot be determined primarily from a bubble test and an essay. In my case, I went from being a failure, to being awarded National recognition, solely due a a change in a prescribed and unyielding format of assessment.
In order to determine a student's, or a teacher's competency, multiple assessments are the only true gauge of merit. Why? Because in using multiple assessments the true, composite, and academic potential of any candidate can be measured. It is the hubris of the Bush administration to assume that a bubble test can determine competency! It is a black mark on the eye of Education that we are forced to make these determinations based on testing alone!
I will leave you with this: a couple of years ago while proctoring the IBST I noticed a question in the science portion that went something like this:
What animal is most likely to survive? A. platypus B. lion C. snake D. fish
If you are asking the question: survive what?!!! -then maybe you understand where teachers stand on assessment: survive nuclear war, a flood, global warming, urbanization?.... I still wonder what the correct response is and why? This is the problem with using only one model of assessment, failing to take into account societal issues, and the circumventing of curriculum, and professionalism, designed for only one purpose: the completion of a test! And then using the half-baked results as an excuse to divert funding for less than noble endeavors. I am asking Obama, and anyone who reads this, to take a serious look at NCLB and to demand reform.
President Obama, the young people in America are behind you! They feel empowered; they want to be important in our country's future! Please make a difference in education in America today. Leave us a legacy from which we can reap the benefit many years into the future!
NEA and AFT Partner with the Inaugural Committee to Bring the Inauguration to the ClassroomLesson Plans for Teachers on Inaugural History Now Available on PIC Website
Washington, D.C. - The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC), in cooperation with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA), is pleased to offer a series of instructional guides to help teachers across the country bring the 56th Presidential Inauguration to life in their classrooms. The guides are now available on the PIC website: www.pic2009.org/page/content/lessonplans. "We are thrilled to partner with the AFT and NEA to make these lesson plans available to teachers across the country," said PIC Executive Director Emmett S. Beliveau. "Inauguration Day is rich with tradition and speaks to both our common history and our shared future. We hope that these resources will help inspire students to learn more about this historic day.""The American presidential inauguration is a transformational moment that brings together our collective past and present, and our hopes for the future," said AFT President Randi Weingarten. "It reminds us more clearly than mere words ever could that power in this country truly rests with the American people. These lesson plans are intended as tools to help teachers and their students live our rich history and build our brighter future. The AFT is proud to have been part of this important project and this historic moment."
"It is crucial that our students understand that we are not only living history and making history with this inauguration, but also carrying forward the historical contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his influence on our incoming 44th president," said Dennis Van Roekel. "These important lesson plans will help students understand President-elect Obama's message of a 'sense of unity and shared purpose' into the next four years and beyond."The lesson plans, developed jointly by AFT and the NEA, are designed to teach students about the history of Inauguration Day, and include information about the 2009 Inaugural schedule of events and background about traditional Inaugural ceremonies. The guides also suggest ways to supplement the lessons with discussion topics, films, books and other educational websites. The lesson plans are divided into three sections: "Learning History," which highlights the evolution of Inaugural events beginning with George Washington's Inauguration in 1789, "Making History," which lets students follow along with President-elect Obama's swearing in on January 20th, and "Living History," which encourages students to continue studying the American Government and the Presidency beyond Inauguration Day. The materials are geared toward students from elementary school to high school, and offer lesson modifications based on the students' ages. The Presidential Inaugural Committee has committed to making President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden's Inauguration the most accessible and inclusive in history, and these lesson plans are just one more way that communities across the country can become involved in this historic event. The PIC is confident that the lesson plans developed by the AFT and NEA will help students of all ages feel part of this historic moment in our country. President elect Obama is about to be sworn in as the next President of the United States of America. For many of us who voted for Obama we are overjoyed to see that this day is upon us. Especially those of us within the black community, although his presidency is not merely about him being a black man. For us in the black community it is a proud moment to be shared with every American regardless of race. Over the last few weeks I have had numerous conversations with many different types of Americans from all different races, background, income level, and educational level. They all have so much enthusiasm for President elect Obama and what change he will bring to this country. Many of us know that the problems we will face will require more than four or even eight years to fix. But we know that we must be on the right path for us to see progress. The people have spoken and decided that we want the direction of our future to be President elect Obama's vision. The vision he spoke of during the campaign. I know that I didn't go into the voting booth looking for quick fixes to our nations problems. My vote was for the voice who believed in the same sense of responsibility and obligation to leave my children a better future than that which is being given to them today. When I speak to people about what Obama's Presidency will be I am quick to remind those who are looking to him to solve the problems we face in this country that our country's problems were not created by one man or one administration. The success of his Presidency rests on the shoulders of all of us who voted for him and his vision for our country. I am always quick to ask others what is there role in making his presidency successful? The education of our children must be a focus in this administration as the problems we face today will probably not be completely corrected in our lifetime. But we can change the direction of this country and prepare each generation that is too come to be prepared for the challenges to be faced. I am often amazed at how little importance is placed on educating our children. Why do we not educate our children to be good citizens and not just good standardized test takers. Why are our children allowed to graduate from high school within being prepared for life. Why are our kids not taught about money management in math? Energy conservation in science? Function of our government in Social Studies? Maintaining a healthly lifestyle in physical education? Now that I have addressed what our kids are not learning let's look at why they should be. Americans spend more save less and are living beyond their means. The result of this fiscal irresponsibility is the mortgage, credit, and lending crisis. The next generation needs to be able to budget, manage money, and maintain credit. Global warming is affecting all of us and yet we don't teach our kids about the importance of alternative energy. The next generation needs to be taught to conserve water, energy, and waste. We need to educate our children not just on wars fought hundreds of years ago but they need to be educated on issues facing us now. Healthcare is a major issues right now for many Americans. Why are we not doing more to educate our kids on what poor eating choices and not being physically fit will impact their lives in the future. To anyone reading this ask yourself what I am doing to improve education in my community? Are you involved in PTA? Are you coaching youth sports? Are you mentoring young people? Our most precious resource is our children and we must sacrifice in order to prepare them to lead. Please lend your voice to making education important in your community. It's not about getting hand outs from Washington anymore. Our children need each and every one of us to sacrifice to ensure that education is made a priority in our communities.
I ask each of you again-What are you doing to improve education in your community?
With the constant news of the bail outs of wall streets, automakers, airlines, etc. I have to ask the question that should be on the minds of every parent in this country. WHO is going to BAIL OUT our KIDS? I understand the politics of why the financial system and US automakers need to be protected. But who is going to stand up and say enough is enough and sound the alarm for the lack of protection of our educational system in this country. Is the fate of our country not a direct result of the young people who are today not being educated in schools across this country. Doesn't public education deserve to be saved the same way we are writing blank checks to corporate america. What good does saying wall street do when we aren't preparing the next generation of young people to be able to do math at a level that would allow for them to become stockbrokers, financial advisors, and accountants. With the level at which our students perform on standardized test in math I'm not sure I want my money in the stock market. Where is the big balloon payment falling out of the sky for education in this country. So much is being said about these companies not being able to failed because of the impact on the entire nation. Why is the failure of our school system, which is going to be the driving force behind any and all advancements in science, health, and the enviroment viewed as dispensable. When I look at education I see the generation that is going to cure disease, stop the destruction of our enviroment, create wealth as bankers, educate the generation behind them as teachers and parents themselves. I'm disgusted with the amount of money being thrown at these industries to ensure they don't fail. I want that same security blanket for education in this country to ensure it doesn't fail. I want education funding to become a priority in this administration and I believe that we will have a President who knows the value of education but each of us must do our part to ensure that education is not allowed to fail. The failure of our education system means we are letting our children fail. With Jan 20th around the corner I think each of us needs to take a moment to contact our Representatives to let them know if education is not made a priority by them by both their funding of education but also by their votes to not allow education to be cut they will feel our wrath when it comes to these Representatives being re-elected. Please contact your Representatives and let them know we have had enough of Nevada Politicians not spending money to educate our kids.
Join me in letting Gov. Gibbons know we want our children's education to be fully funded. http://www.house.gov/gibbons/contact_feedback.asp
WASHINGTON - Today, in keeping with its commitment to hold inaugural events that celebrate our common values and reflect the diversity and history of our great nation, President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden's Inaugural Committee officially extended an offer to Special Olympics to march in the 56th Inaugural Parade. Special Olympics athletes, volunteers and supporters will join representatives from across the country and our Armed Forces in the historic parade down Pennsylvania Avenue following President-elect Obama's swearing-in ceremony on the steps of the Capitol.
"I am honored to invite these talented groups and individuals to participate in the Inaugural Parade," said President-elect Obama. "These organizations embody the best of our nation's history, diversity and commitment to service. Vice President-elect Biden and I are proud to have them join us in the parade."
Organizations wishing to participate in the parade submitted an application to the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC), which then assisted the Presidential Inaugural Committee in reviewing all of the groups' applications. All told, 1,382 organizations applied to participate, setting a new standard for interest in marching in the parade.
Upon hearing its selection, Special Olympics made the Inaugural Parade part of its Global Law Enforcement Torch Run(r) and the parade participants, a team of Special Olympics athletes, law enforcement officials who serve as guardians of the flame, and other supporters will carry the Flame of Hope for all to see.
Since November 24, 2008, the Flame of Hope has traveled more than 30,000 miles around the world stopping on each continent to deliver a message of spirit and hope to communities where people with intellectual disabilities continue to fight for acceptance and a chance to excel without barriers.
After the Inaugural Parade, the Flame of Hope will continue across America until it reaches Boise, Idaho, where it will be used to ignite the cauldron at the Opening Ceremonies for the Special Olympics World Winter Games that will take place from February 7-13, 2009.
Special Olympics is an international nonprofit organization and global movement dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition. Special Olympics offers year-round training and competition in 30 Olympic-type summer and winter sports to more than 2.8 million individuals with intellectual disabilities worldwide.
All participants in the Inaugural Parade are responsible for paying for their own lodging and transportation to and from Washington, D.C. The Committee has been working closely with area governments and civic organizations to facilitate access to affordable accommodations and would like to encourage citizens from across the country to reach out and help Special Olympics raise the necessary resources to participate in this historic event.
If you are interested in finding out more about supporting the Special Olympics and their participation in the 56th Inaugural Parade, please contact Cary McPartlin at 202.459.7561. Visit specialolympics.org to learn more.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee was assisted in its selection process by a group of experienced military musicians, who utilized their expertise to help assess the presentation skills of marching bands, musical acts and drill teams.
Regularly updated information will be provided to the public and the media on our website, pic2009.org.
Recently I was having a conversation with an older family member in which they stated that before the election they viewed our generation as lazy, not caring about our future, and being uneducated when it came to politics. They expressed how impressed they were with the young people and how we organized and got involved to elect the first African American President of the United States of America. This family member spoke of how before the election they often worried that our generation lacked leaders and any sense of direction. And yet the victory of President elect Obama was in such large part to all the young people from all across this country, of all races, religion, education, and financial background making the statement that we wanted a change in the direction of this country and it's leadership. This family member explained that in prior generations the movements were lead by individuals but that our generation is a more team oriented. They spoke of the election being less about individual leaders creating the movement but that what they witnessed was more like a wave of people from all across this country standing up together to say we have had enough. In the past we may have seemed to be uninterested in the direction in which the country was going and yet it was on our backs that the debts were stacked up, wars were fought, and we began to realize what was at stake for us. I am proud to be a part of this generation and I look forward to doing my part to ensure that my children's generation is given to them better than I found it. We saw past the divisions which held back progress in our parents to see Dr King's dream become a reality. On Nov 2008 it was our generation that decided that it is not about the color of a person's skin but rather the content of their character. When President Obama takes office in January we all must do all that we can to ensure he is successful by getting to work in our own communities to change the directions of our schools, children, economy, and our enviroment. Thank you to every person who voted and now I ask that we now organize in those same numbers that lined the polls in November to now take our country in the direction which this country desperately needs.

We don't make decisions out of fear!...Therefore, it takes a courageous person to embrace change!...All of us, collectively, have chosen a new path..an intensive overhaul to ensure the "American Dream" is within the people's grasp. We will be starting at the fundamentals. Firstly, we will need a new form of commerce...A noble innovative way of re-building our Country. A new focus!...for all us breathe in the fumes of our collective pollution...for our old way of doing things, has put us in this place.
Every year we ship 700 Billion dollars to foreign countries for oil. 700 billion dollars that we need desperately here in the USA. In order to regain our standing in the world, we must invest in the infrastructure of the energy grid...the links that will connect our country from "Sea to Shining Sea!" Like the first railroad that stretched accross America connecting the East to the West. We will no longer continue to support the "Horse and Buggy" when we have a far more innovative way of doing business. TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL CLEAN OUR PLANET...CREATE MILLIONS OF WELL-PAYING AMERICAN JOBS...AND END OUR NEED TO PAY OTHERS FOR SOMETHING WE CAN PRODUCE HERE.
400 MILLION POUNDS OF POLLUTION ESCAPES INTO THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE PER DAY...THIS IS A WAR WE ALL SHOULD STRIVE TO FIGHT! THAT IS WHY I'M HERE...I EMBRACE CHANGE! I HUNGER FOR IT! WE ARE SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN WHERE WE SIT TODAY...IN A FEW DAYS WE WILL HAVE OUR CHANCE TO SHOW IT! AND IN POST HASTE...WITH OUR COLLECTIVE ENERGY... WE SHALL SURELY FIX IT!
I expect 700 billion dollars to be used changing the energy grid to wind...solar..and water power...
THIS WOULD ENSURE TONS OF NEW BUSINESSES AND JOBS...SAVE OUR PLANET...WHILE LOSING
DEPENDENCE ON "DIRTY OIL"...GO AHEAD...BAILOUT THESE GREEDMONGERS... BUT AT THE SAME
TIME...BAILOUT US OUT WITH THE FUTURE OF CLEAN ENERGY...I DON'T WANT "WALL STREET"
HAVING THIS KIND OF ALL ENCOMPASSING POWER EVER AGAIN....

The map 50 days out:
The Palin bounce has erased Obama's lead in the national polls, and it has now cut into his electoral-vote advantage, according to NBC’s latest map. Obama holds a 233-227 edge here, down from his 228-200 advantage from last week.
The biggest changes: We moved Florida -- with its 27 electoral votes -- from Toss-up to Lean McCain, and New Mexico from Toss-up to Lean Obama. We also shifted Oregon and Washington from Likely Obama to Lean Obama, as well as Alaska, Georgia, North Dakota and South Dakota from Lean McCain to Likely McCain.
The good news for McCain is that the map looks better for him than at any point so far in this race, and many of those red states that looked like opportunities for Obama (AK, GA, IN) look to be longer shots for him. The bad news for McCain is that given the wave his campaign has been riding from the Palin bounce, is this as good as it gets?
If he isn’t leading in some states now, he might not ever lead in them. Bottom line: You'll know the map is starting to move in one direction or the other if either Pennsylvania or Florida moves back into Toss-up before Election Day.
VIDEO: NBC Political Director Chuck Todd discusses the Sarah Palin affect on the NBC electoral vote map.Likely Obama: CA, CT, DE, DC, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, RI, VT (172 electoral votes)

Please help me with these people, the GOP. God, please bless this country and elect Obama & Biden!
I am tired of the US Presidents who are uneducated, who are not articulate and are not statesmen. The last classy, elegant statesman has been JFK. JFK and Jackie brought class, elegance, the arts and cultural to our country. In addition, to the Camelot years they united the country. Besides the Bush ladies, (not the men, only the ladies) class and elegance has been missing from the White House.
I know one of the many reasons this country is running scared is because Barack is an international and bi-racial man, Michelle, a classy, blue-collar south side raised, black women! Americans are scared! I should the RACIST Americans are running scared!!!!! Let's call it what it is!!!!!!!!
Michelle and Barack are our ONLY HOPE!!!! Are only HOPE!!! We have to fight hard and fight hard NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please everyone start donating, calling, volunteering and fighting for Barack and Joe!!!
Which now brings me to the foul mouth, smartypants and condescending GOP VP. She is AWFUL! She is rude and smartass! She has nothing on Joe and Barack's class!
Please join me now and donate!!!!
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to hire college students to do Vote for Change visibility; at San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Florida campuses.
I’m looking for students who are committed to progressive change. Ideally, the candidates will have organizing experience, and be highly involved in campus politics and activities.
We probably do the best visibility in support of Barack Obama, using our Vote for Change visibility display (link), which has probably been seen by upwards 700,000 people (link) and we are looking for students, whom we will hire as contractors to do Vote for Change visibility on their campuses.
We’ll provide Vote for Change visibility displays and Obama merchandise.
Lets get Barack Obama Elected!!!
Email me at: paul@progressive-alliance.org
Outside of hiring part-time Student Staff at the campuses; all individuals, including myself, are volunteers. All net proceeds from donations, from Vote for Change visibility events, and Benefit Concerts for Change; will fund Vote for Change visibility efforts, at San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and then Florida.
Progressive-Alliance.org is currently focusing on Vote for Change; to assist in visibility; voter outreach, education, and registration; and to support Barack Obama.
While Progressive-Alliance.org supports Barack Obama, it is an independent organization. It is not part of the Obama for America campaign, and in no way represents Barack Obama. Any political statements made by Progressive-Alliance.org are solely its own.
Progressive-Alliance.org has philanthropically produced 9 campus concerts for the environment, human rights, and voter outreach; which have reached upwards of 100,000 students. And it has philanthropically produced, and organized, 40+ Vote for Change visibility & registration events; which have reached upwards of 600,000 individuals.
Please disseminate this email widely, to anyone you think might be interested in helping out.
Thanks so much for your time and support.
Sincerely,
Paul Warnow Progressive-Alliance.org paul@progressive-alliance.org
