With the dramatic and successful conclusion of this past week's pirate standoff in the waters off Somalia, the media and punditry are buzzing with analyses of President Obama's performance as commander in chief during his first "crisis."
We now know the president closely monitored the situation, having received 17 briefings on it. And Vice Adm. William Gortney, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, said the president gave military operators "very clear guidance and authority" to use deadly force if Capt. Richard Phillips' life appeared to be in danger.
As a former naval officer, I was riveted by this at-sea hostage rescue and the safe return of Phillips. And as a progressive Democrat who campaigned and voted for Obama, I was reminded that he represents a breed of Democrats who are strong on national security, believe in the strength of the U.S. military, and will not shy from the use of force when warranted.
And it wasn't just this rescue mission that proved it.
Let's consider Obama's broader performance as commander in chief over the past 12 weeks. This is a president whose critics labeled him unfit to lead. Sarah Palin called him "reckless" and "disqualified," while Dick Cheney accused him of making America "less safe." They were as wrong as Obama has been successful.
Contrary to popular opinion, the pirate standoff was not Obama's first national-security test. He has already made major decisions involving the military on Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Mexico (the setting of a full-fledged counterinsurgency against drug cartels). I would argue that the rescue of Phillips was not even Obama's first authorization of the use of force; he also has maintained the U.S. military's ability to conduct Predator drone strikes against al-Qaeda in the tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In February, the president implemented his plan to end the war in Iraq by withdrawing most American combat troops by August 2010, with a residual force of 50,000 remaining until the end of the following year. This balanced approach heeded the advice of military commanders on the ground and fulfilled the requirements of the status-of-forces agreement with Iraq, which requires U.S. forces to leave by the end of 2011. The president has not, nor will he, "cut and run."
Also in February, Obama ordered the deployment of an additional 17,000 soldiers and Marines to Afghanistan to aid in the defeat of al-Qaeda and the Taliban. As the president said at the time, "This increase is necessary to stabilize a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, which has not received the strategic attention, direction, and resources it urgently requires."
Three weeks ago, Obama announced the results of his strategic review of Afghanistan policy. While he is recommitting the United States to a regional approach and a renewed emphasis on diplomacy and development, he authorized an additional 4,000 troops and is showing no signs of shying away from the fight against al-Qaeda.
The fact is that this president has made a muscular stand on national security in the short time he has been in office. I believe he has garnered the respect of our military leaders for his clear ability to seek, listen to, and apply their counsel. And I believe he has the admiration and support of our servicemen and servicewomen for his clear-eyed approach to how the military should be employed, where it should be fighting, and how its veterans should be treated when they return home.
I am proud of Obama's performance as commander in chief, and of the fact that a strong, progressive Democrat is doing exactly what we elected him to do.

It's currently 0910am in Kabul, Afghanistan and I'm GLUED to the screen watching the election results roll in .
I am so unbelievably happy.
I've been deployed to Afghanistan since May this year (2008) and the entire time I've been surround by staunch Republicans who SEVERELY opposed President Elect Obama. Granted they weren't huge McCain fans either but they were voting one way and I was voting another.
Months of Me vs 15 to 20 people. I won some...and I simply gave up other discussions. Towards the end some discussions got very heated...but in the last few days they conceded. They made their snipes but justified it saying my guy was goin to win.
I used my Skype phone and called as many people as I could...considering the 8.5hr time difference. I donated and I managed to raise money and I'm just so happy that the election is over. I can hear the people around me adjusting to the change. Yesterday they declared it would be a dictatorship...and now one just said Obama is a good candidate and they think he is his own man.
I keep pushing the "Purple" idea. Don't let this country be divided into red nor blue...but Purple through and through.
I am in a volunteer military. No matter what I would have served the next Commander in Chief...I'm just so joyous that he will be President Elect Obama.
I know the next few years will be tough but I can already see the light at the end of the tunnel...where before I didn't even see a tunnel.
Tommorrow the real work begins.
But...I really wish I had been in the States for this so I could experience all the energy...instead of sitting in my room alone and calling potential voters...and now surrounded by begrudging well wishers.
My heart is so full...Hope...what a beautiful thing. Now let me get back to work before I get called out as gloating LOL.

I have hope now. I never realized it was missing until the campaign.
Much to my dismay I'm having trouble with my internet connection and Skype. I can't call 50 more people before 3pm as the campaign requested. It's 1117pm in Afghanistan and is WAY past my bedtime but I had to get this out.
So many people question my belief in Barack. The people around me seem to think that they can change the way I think based soley on their rhetoric without any facts. Yesterday, I put the facts directly in front of one of them so they could research it and they refused to even read it. Anytime we discuss politics in my office my one on one talks somehow turn into multiple people against me "discussions" (yesterday it was 5 vs 1) and they still can't win. I give them facts and truth and they give me illogical nonsense.
I have taken great care to not alienate them and to let them know the Obama presidency will be inclusive...and they don't return the sentiments. I understand I intimidate them and I understand the facts upset them...but it does not excuse their childish behavior. My co-workers who support Barack ask me questions quietly and secretly for fear of being dragged into one of my brawls with the others. They say they just don't want to deal with the nonsense.
Maybe it's because I'm the youngest in the office at 25 (and lowest ranking by far as just an E-5/NCO) but I believe people can change and adapt. However, I have now learned the true meaning of the axiom that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I can't make them want to think beyond their self-imposed limits...they have to choose.
Other quietly appauld my efforts. I tell them not to because I know I could do so much more...they simply ask how...by not sleeping to call voters? I accept their words...but in my heart I know I could have done more...what's sleep when the future of your country is at stake.
I talked and talked and talked to so many people on my skype phone and in person here (in a very careful way because you know political discussion can be frowned on in the service), called, donated, and raised (very) little money. I converted a few but overwhelmingly I did not convince many...but the few give me hope. Those who were willing to research beyond what their friends and Fox News told them (why does AFN play so much Fox news? More CNN or MSNBC please...how about some NPR alongside "Freedom Radio")
Tomorrow I wake up with hope for a whole new world. It'll be 6am when I go to work...0930pm or 1030 EST time there...(DST is confusing me). The election will be nearing it's end. I will openly shed tears if the future has changed for the better and Barack Obama is President-Elect. My co-workers may mock me but I have never cared for the opinion of (nor courted the good opinion of) other's and I won't start now.
I know things will get worse before better and times will be hard...but I have hope.

Okay, out here we have low manning Fridays since it's the Afghans weekly religious holiday.
Since I don't have to be at work at 6am as usual I'm going to take a nap after I get back from the shower (3hrs in the gym is on the menu tonight BRUTAL) and get up by 230am local time.
It will be 6pm on Thurday in the states and that will give me two hours of calling. I hope to knock out 50 calls in that time...maybe more. On the weekend I'll be able to call at normal hours here (730pm) since it'll be late morning there. It should work out well.
My poster came in the mail but my t-shirt and magnet didn't. Does it sound weird to say I'm sad? Oh well, I can't wait for my Barack the Builder t-shirt to get here LOL.

Veterans to Rally at Fort Nonsense to Protest Frelinghuysen’s “Nonsense”
Parsippany, October 22—Veterans of the U.S. armed forces will be rallying at Fort Nonsense, in Morristown, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 25, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to protest the voting record of Rodney P. Frelinghuysen (R, NJ-11) in the United States House of Representatives.
According to a recent scorecard issued by the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Frelinghuysen scored only 10 out of a possible 15 points, whereas most of New Jersey’s Representatives scored 14 or 15. Frelinghuysen lost crucial points when he voted against healthcare funding and educational benefits for the veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to Ed McLaughlin, 59, a Vietnam Veteran from Butler, “Frelinghuysen slaps the troops on the back and says ‘I’m right behind you guys.’ Then he votes against us every chance he gets. The only time he votes for veterans is when it’s practically unanimous.” McLaughlin served with the First Marines from 1967 to 1969 and has a 100% service-connected disability.
So...last night I stayed up a bit late...about 0030 and made calls with the hopes that I had waited long enough for people to be home (remember 8.5hrs ahead). Not so much luck there but I did spend 45 minutes on the phone with a voter in PA who identified herself as undecided.
When I reached her I stated who I was and asked if she was voting. She said she was undecided. So I gave my quick story on the military and my view and asked her if she had any questions on any specific issues.
Well...when it rains it pours. Let's just say I'm very happy I'm familar with Mr. Obama's platform, had a copy of the "Blueprint for America" with me, and was aware of the truth in all the smear ads. We went from Healthcare, to negative campaigning, to Miltiary concerns, to the GWOT, women's health (had to clarify pro-abortion vs pro-life) and gun control. I answered all her question to the best of my knowledge (so I hope that was enough) and referenced the Blueprint (Whew).
While talking with her I FINALLY understood how someone could still be undecided. She and her husband have had alot of health concerns and issues with money. In other words they were more concerned with their day to day survival than the campaigns. They didn't have a tv until recently and they don't have internet access at home.
She describes the area she lives in as the backwoods both campaigns talk about so much. She told me that people pass around that fake NRA flyer about the Obama campaign but they don't know it's fake (she was unsure if it was or not so I clarified) and her husband works in a hunter shop, earning minimum wage, so gun control is a concern (the flyer claims Mr. Obama will close gun shops).
Her major concern was healthcare (the cost of some of the stuff she's been through without insurance is crazy) and she shared her concern for others who could end up in the situation she used to be in. She felt both camps put out conflicting data so it's hard to understand what the truth is unless you are actively researching the issues.
By the end of our conversation she said I cleared up much of the information she was confused about and that she would come visit the website, which she wrote down, via a public terminal. She said that she was definately more interested in Barack Obama as a candidate since so many of his views seems to match up with hers.
So...I only ended up making 6 calls last night but like the one 20 minute call I had on my first night (with a now Obama campaign volunteer) I felt that really speaking to that one person made a difference.
I am going to hold off until the weekend (in the states) to make anymore calls after I finish my current list. It seems to make more sense to call during the day ON THE WEEKEND. I will try for about 150 calls over the weekend (Friday night through Sunday night) averaging about 50 calls a day.
My real goal is 300 calls but I have to be realistic about missions and such happening.
I also set up a fundraising site with a goal of a $1000.00. I'm already started emailing it around so we'll see how that goes.

A Zogby poll from 2006 found that in America , 42% of respondents believed the US government and 9/11 Commission "covered up" the events of 9/11. That is some tens of millions of Americans don't believe anything close to the official account offered by the 9/11 Commission.
Examine the three possibilities you offer as to what happened at the Pentagon. Immediately after 9/11 -- before Hanjour had been identified as the pilot -- said that "the unidentified pilot executed a pivot so tight that it reminded observers of a fighter jet maneuver," and that another story said, "Investigators are particularly impressed with the pilot who , just before [slamming into the Pentagon], performed a tightly banked 270-degree turn at low altitude with almost military precision." You are also presumably aware that Hanjour was said to have been a terrible pilot by several instructors, one of whom said, "he could not fly at all," and that another instructor, in the summer of 2001, refused to go up with Hanjour a second time.
And yet you believe that one of the likely possibilities is that "Hani Hanjour got lucky and pulled off a highly-skilled maneuver." Let's see what some men with more expertise say. Former Navy and Pan-American Airlines pilot Ted Muga said: "I just can't imagine an amateur even being able to come close to performing a maneuver of that nature." Former fighter and airline pilot Russ Wittenberg called it "totally impossible." Former 757 pilot Ralph Omholt said: "The idea that an unskilled pilot could have flown this trajectory is simply too ridiculous to consider.
"The other possibility you endorse is that "some other [Muslim] suicidal terrorist" flew Flight 77 into the Pentagon. The government has told us that there were five members of al-Qaeda on the plane. If Hanjour was not the pilot, it had to be one of the other four. Do you have a theory as to which one was up to the task? Muga, Wittenberg , and Omholt all doubt that anyone, including themselves, could have flown the reported trajectory in a 757. They are certain that no amateur could have done it, and any of the other men would have been amateurs with regard to 757s or any other "big birds" (as pilots call them).

The hijacker-pilots were then forced to execute a difficult high-speed descending turn. NOTE: The US war game exercise Vigilant Warrior simulated exercises that placed "false blips" (radar injects indicating virtual planes) on FAA radar screens. So how do we know a real 757 made such a skill fighter jet type of diving turn from 7,000 feet to ground level?
All aircraft produce what is referred to as "ground effect" when landing, or at low altitude [within about one/half lengths (0.5) of wingspan or 60 feet]. So if "the pilot" was trying hard to push the airplane down as close to the ground as possible [at a VERY high speed, in fact], the craft would have encountered this increase of lift and decrease of drag experienced by ALL low-wing aircraft. This effect makes it very difficult to land an airplane until all excess speed has been "bled off" [by flaring the plane at landing, using flaps and spoilers], and if these "pilots" were following the same "full throttle" kamikaze attack as their "twin tower" comrades, this would have been an absolutely impossible feat of flying. Not one of the alleged hijackers was even able to master flying a 1500 pound Cessna 150, let alone a 100 tonne state-of-the-art twin engine commercial aircraft!!
Let it suffice to say that it is physically impossible to fly a 200,000-lb airliner 20 feet above the ground at 400 MPH [.......]
In other words, if this were a Boeing 757 as reported, the plane could not have been flown below about 60 feet above ground at 400 MPH. (Such a maneuver is entirely within the performance envelope of aircraft with high wing-loadings, such as ground-attack fighters, the B1-B bomber, and Cruise missiles-and the Global Hawk.)
What of the other possibility you offer -- "that thousands of witnesses who saw a plane hit the Pentagon were wrong." I wonder where you got that number. Even Popular Mechanics, which I had always considered the gold standard for reckless statements in support of the official theory, claims only that "hundreds of witnesses saw a Boeing 757 hit the building." The most extensive list of alleged witnesses of which I am aware contains only 152 people, and only some of them claim to have seen an airliner hit the Pentagon.
A study of these, moreover, found that only 31 of them provided "explicit, realistic and detailed claims," that 24 of these 31 alleged witnesses "worked for either the Federal Government or the mainstream media," and that 21 of these testimonies contained "substantial errors or contradictions." Witness testimony, therefore, cannot establish the claim that Flight 77 or any airliner struck the Pentagon.This is especially the case when we add the testimony of witnesses from inside the Pentagon. Captain Dennis Gilroy, the acting commander of the Fort Myer fire department, "wondered why he saw no aircraft parts." Captain John Durrer thought, "Well where's the airplane, you know, where's the parts to it? You would think there'd be something." Army officer April Gallop, who escaped from the building after being injured, said: "I don't recall at any time seeing any plane debris. I walked through that place to try to get out before everything collapsed on us . [S]urely we should have seen something?" ABC's John McWethy reported: "I got in very close . I could not, however, see any plane wreckage.
"You say: "[W]e know this much: somebody piloted a jet liner into the Pentagon." I'm puzzled as to how you think you know this. The word "knowledge" means "justified true belief," so you cannot know something unless (1) it is true and (2) your belief that it is true is based on sufficient evidence. You ask what "hard evidence" I have for the view that the official story is not true. I provided a lot of this in Chapter 3 of Debunking 9/11 Debunking. Assuming that you place the same demands on the official conspiracy theory as you do on the alternative theory, what hard evidence is there for the claim that Flight 77 hit the Pentagon?The authorities could have provided such evidence by showing reporters the various airplane parts that have unique serial numbers, including the flight data recorder, but they did not. They could have shown some of the 85 videos from cameras trained on the Pentagon, which the Justice Department admits having, but they have refused. One of the pieces of evidence offered by Rumsfeld in the first week was that the nose of Flight 77 was sticking out of the hole made in the Pentagon's C ring. But this claim, being ridiculous (the fragile nose could not have survived the impact with the reinforced outer wall), has been quietly dropped. In light of all this, plus the reported absence of airliner debris, I'm puzzled as to what hard evidence you believe exists. If you cite the DNA evidence, the truth is that we have no evidence that the bodies of the passengers actually came from the Pentagon (as I explain in Debunking 9/11 Debunking). Even if an airliner had hit the Pentagon, moreover, it might have been controlled remotely. So you do not know that someone piloted a plane into the Pentagon.
As to what really happened, I do not know. I am quite certain, however, that the official story, according to which Hani Hanjour (or some other al-Qaeda hijacker) piloted Flight 77 into the Pentagon, is false. There is no credible evidence to support it and a lot of evidence against it. One part of this evidence is the fact that Wedge 1 would have been, for several reasons, the least likely spot for Muslim terrorists to have struck. Another part of this evidence is the fact that the primary targeted area was the first floor of the Pentagon (92 of the 125 victims were on that floor ), which would have been impossible for a 757 to have hit -- especially without even scraping the Pentagon lawn (photographs showed that it was undamaged). I do not, therefore, merely "raise questions." I state that the official story is a lie.
Another problem with Wedge 1 was that it was the only part of the Pentagon that would have presented physical obstacles to an attacking airplane. why al-Qaeda would have attacked that particular part of the Pentagon. Wedge 1 was only sparsely occupied. They would have wanted to kill Rumsfeld and the top brass, but Wedge 1 was as far removed from their offices as possible. And finally, given the fact that the pilots were amateurs, the planners would have had the pilot simply crash into the roof of this building, which, covering several acres, even a poor pilot might have managed
In chapter 21, David Ray Griffin writes about the "white jet," which was circling Washington when flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. The "white jet" in question was an E-4B, the Air Force's most sophisticated command and communications aircraft (often called a "flying Pentagon. The failure to evacuate cost 125 lives. The fact that the recent revelation of the E-4B's presence is embarrassing to the Pentagon is shown by the fact that, incredibly, its officials have denied that the plane over the White House was a military plane, even though there can be no doubt about this. if the official story were true, they would have known this -- or at least that some airliner was approaching. We don't know when the plane went up (we know only the time of the first reported sighting). The Pentagon clearly won't tell us, since it won't even acknowledge that the plane belonged to it. The day before 9/11, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld stated at a press conference that the Pentagon was missing $2.3 trillion dollars; second, one of the most damaged areas was the Army's financial management/audit area. This combination of facts has led one 9/11 researcher, citing evidence that the "attack" began with explosives going off inside that area, to ask: "Were the auditors who could 'follow the money,' and the computers whose data could help them do it, intentionally targeted?" The authorities could have provided such evidence by showing reporters the various airplane parts that have unique serial numbers, including the flight data recorder, but they did not. They could have shown some of the 85 videos from cameras trained on the Pentagon, which the Justice Department admits having, but they have refused. Given the FBI's report that Tom Burnett did not use a cell phone to call his wife, why did she report seeing his cell phone number on her Caller ID? Given its report that Barbara Olson did not complete any calls from Flight 77, did Ted Olson lie or was he, like Deena Burnett, deceived by someone? The EPA was going to issue a warning that the air was unsafe to breathe (asbestos levels of four times the safe level had already been reported). The White House, however, ordered the EPA to declare that the air did not contain "excessive levels of asbestos" and was otherwise "safe to breathe." Over 50,000 of the workers have respiratory problems, over 350 have died, 600 more have cancer, and there are predictions that the deaths will far exceed those that occurred on 9/11 itself. why some of the buildings' steel melted, even though the fires could not have gotten within 1,000 degrees F of the requisite temperature; why steel from the buildings had been thinned because of oxidation and sulfidation (which the New York Times called "perhaps the deepest mystery uncovered in the investigation"; There is scientific evidence that "the Towers could not have collapsed as a result of the plane crashes [and ensuing fires] alone," and that they were instead brought down by explosives, then the government's story, supported by the 9/11 Commission and NIST, is false. If dust from Ground Zero shows signs of thermite reactions (which physicist Steven Jones has shown to be the case ), this provides additional physical evidence -- on top of the evidence that steel melted and all the testimonial evidence of explosions going off in the buildings -- that explosives were used. You asked for evidence of murder by forces within our own government. That is some of it.The Bush administration, after promising to provide proof that Osama bin Laden was behind the attacks, reneged.
9/11 commission lies:
The 9/11 Commission claimed that the military "first received a call about United 93 at 10:07," four minutes after it had crashed. But General Larry Arnold, the head of NORAD's Continental region, had testified that the military had been aware of the flight for over 20 minutes before it crashed. He and many other officials -- including Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz -- even said that the military was tracking Flight 93 and was in position to shoot it down. Hardly a minor discrepancy, especially given the evidence that the military did shoot the plane down. The 9/11 Commission Report, made no mention of Mineta's testimony and claimed that Cheney did not get down to the bunker until almost 10:00. Definitely not a minor discrepancy. Many witnesses, including Richard Clarke and Cheney's photographer, said that it was not long after 9:00 that Cheney went down to the bunker under the White House to assume control of events. One of these, Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta, testified that when he got down there at 9:20, Cheney was already there. Mineta then told the Commission about a conversation between Cheney and a young man, which occurred about 10 minutes before the Pentagon was attacked. Although Mineta did not thus interpret it, the conversation is most naturally understood as Cheney's confirmation of a stand-down order.
9/11 has been used to justify a new doctrine of preemption
The public didn't even know about this deal. And even if it had known about it, it wouldn't have understood it. And even if it had understood it -- extremely unlikely -- it wouldn't have been organized enough to do anything about it. In March, for instance, the federal government quietly agreed to subsidize JP Morgan's acquisition of troubled Bear Stearns, shelling out $29 billion in taxpayer money to prop up a hornet's nest of bad mortgage-backed securities and other investments. Forget about a public outcry over this move to bail out the irresponsible wealthy using yours and my tax money -- the public didn't even know about this deal. But there weren't four people marching against the Bear Stearns deal.This same public -- the same public that stood meekly by when its manufacturing economy was exported overseas, that cheered when our government pledged to "get tough" with China by demanding that it allow us to weaken our currency vis a vis the Yuan This is the public you think George Bush and Dick Cheney needed to blow up downtown Manhattan for, in order to get them on board with a war against Iraq, the Patriot Act, and whatever else. Can you give me any reason why any of the discrepancies you're describing shouldn't be laid at the feet of pure political self-interest? Why is a cover-up of garden-variety incompetence less likely than a cover-up of criminal involvement? There were at least 15 drills in progress that day... four of which were specifically designed to stand down attacks of hijacked aircraft by military interceptors and involved "live fly" aircraft.
The war games & terror drills played a critical role in ensuring Cheney was managing multiple war games and terror drills on 9/11 that paralyzed U.S. Air Force response. On May 8, 2001 - four months prior to 9/11 - the president placed Dick Cheney in charge of "[A]ll federal programs dealing with weapons of mass destruction consequence management within the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, Justice, and Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other federal agencies…" This included all "training and planning" which needed to be "seamlessly integrated, harmonious and comprehensive" in order to "maximize effectiveness." This mandate created the Office of National Preparedness within FEMA, overseen by Dick Cheney. The morning of 9/11 began with multiple training exercises of war games and terror drills which Cheney, as mandated by the president, was placed in charge of managing.
War games & terror drills included live-fly exercises (operation code-named Vigilant Warrior) with military aircraft posing as hijacked aircraft over the United States, aircraft under US control that was posing as a hijacked airliner. as well as simulated exercises that placed "false blips" (radar injects indicating virtual planes) on FAA radar screens. o Warrior = JCS/HQ NORAD sponsored FTX, or field training exercise (live-fly). 17 o
o That means that the Vigilant Warrior drill conducted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff involved at least one real commercial aircraft in the skies, intended to simulate exactly the kind of airliner hijack emergency presented on 9/11. ·
o This was further supported by an April 18 2004 USA Today article titled, "NORAD had drills of jets as weapons." The report cited NORAD officials who confirmed live-fly drills were conducted using hijacked airliners originating from the continental United States used as weapons crashing into targets including the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The specific drill USA Today referred to was "planned in July [2001] and conducted later" - likely on 9/11 itself.
General Arnold of NORAD didn't pull out of the war game titled Vigilant Guardian until reports of flight 93 being hijacked were coming in. That was at 9:16 VIGILANT GUARDIAN, was designed to test national air response systems, which incidentally involved hijacking scenarios. One exercise titled NORTHERN VIGILANCE pulled Air Force fighters up into Canada simulating a Russian air attack, leaving very few fighters remaining on the east coast. An unknown individual or command center referred to by Major Don Arias of NORAD as the "maestro" coordinated the war games. It is possible there was more than one maestro, but no one will name names. FTW has asked this question of everyone in relevant government and military positions, to no avail. Our investigation has found the maestro was either Dick Cheney, General Ralph "Ed" Eberhart, or both.
Whoever was coordinating the Air Force war games was under the management and direction of Dick Cheney, who was also in charge of managing a terror drill being set up on the West Side of downtown New York on 9/11 titled Tripod 2 (a FEMA exercise or a biowarfare exercise was a joint New York-Department of Justice exercise). This exercise set up a command and control center on 9/11 that was configured exactly like the one lost that morning in WTC 7. It was the perfect command center to respond to the crisis, and it was under Dick Cheney's management before the hijackings occurred. How convenient. The Tripod II drill became the command & control emergency response center on 9/11. The New York City command center in WTC 7 was reportedly evacuated by 9:30 on 9/11, but Tripod II provided a new command center organized just as the original was.

Northern Denial (recently confirmed by an Assistant Editor at Harper's magazine) and an unnamed National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) drill for a plane crashing into NRO headquarters at precisely the time of an actual crash in New York. Fast, low-flying cruise missiles are hard to detect. was a scenario involving a cruise missile launched by "a rogue (government) or somebody" from a barge off the East Coast. To practice their part in defending the U.S. from these missiles, members of the 513th Air Control Group deployed to Florida for the "Amalgam Virgo" cruise missile defense exercise. The multi-service exercise tested the defense and response capabilities to a cruise missile attack on Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., June 1-4, 2001.
Dick Cheney was one of the main government officials deciding that such extensive war games would take place on 9/11.
Secret Service has the legal authority to take supreme command over all agencies in the United States in time of a national emergency on U.S. soil. Even the Air Force recognizes Secret Service supremacy. Secret Service has the highest technological communication systems of any agency in the U.S. - as it should.
On 9/11 Secret Service had the technology to see FAA radar screens in real time.
Secret Service was in the decision-making loop as early as 8:15am on 9/11, no later than 8:45am. Everything was in place on 9/11 for the Commander in Chief to have full supreme control of the Air Force via the Secret Service communication systems and legal mandate to take supreme command.
Dick Cheney was the acting Commander in Chief on 9/11 and Secret Service was the supreme command. Bush was not in the role of Commander in Chief at critical times on 9/11.

A consultancy agency with government and police connections was running an exercise for an unnamed company that revolved around the London Underground being bombed at the exact same times and locations as happened in real life on the morning of July 7th.

Well, it's about 436pm Kabul time and I'm heading to the gym in about 20 minutes. After an hour of torture...excuse me Spinning...I'll come back and finish off my work around 7pm. I'll go take a shower and at 730pm I'll start calling again.
Today I'm aiming for 40 calls. Last night I actually did 27 but I wasn't logged in the entire time and when I went to update the website 3 of my callers dropped off my lists. So lesson learned...do everything online as I go along LOL. I'm not sure if my progress updated though because on my dashboard it says 24 callers but on the Make a Call section it insists I haven't called anyone. That's a tad confusing as I don't want the people I called recontacted due to a glitch.
I was a bit nervous but by the 10th call I felt pretty good about the process. Only one person said, "I'm sorry I can't talk about this," and hung up. I laughed it off and kept going. So....16 days to go....and between 25 and 40 callers a night to contact. So I should set a goal...if I aim to call 400 people I should hit a minimum of 24 people a night. That seems reasonable and definatly doable.
The numbers are bit sneaky though because I'm giving myself room in case I end up on an overnight mission. If I do extra calls I'll go about my goal and/or be covered in the event of a missed night.
I have been focusing on Vet to Vet Call and and Women calling Women in PA but I think I'm going to spread out to Latin voters in Florida and Youth and College Student Calling. My last name is blatantly spanish so I might as well make use of it. I suppose the gaelic (read:Irish) first and middle name might throw them off though LOL.
Well, off to the gym. Running around in body armour (at 5000 ft!) is no joke so I have to keep it up LOL.
So...I have my call list printed off and read over the "Blueprint" to refresh myself on Mr. Obama's positions.
I'm calling folks in PA because NJ (where I"m a resident) is pretty safe. I'm focusing on the Veteran to Veteran calls numbers. I find it fairly funny and ironic since I'm currently sitting in Kabul, Afghanistan on a year deployment.
I'm using my Skype phone through my laptop because I can just IMAGINE the whining I'll have to hear if I use my work phone and a calling card.
I'm nervous about calling...sort of...but excited also. The only drag is I'm 8.5 hours ahead of the east coast so I have to stay up late or get up early to call. Since it's Saturday I'm aiming for the early afternoon call around 11am to 1pm. That's put me at about 730pm to 930pm out here and if right before my bedtime.

The Martin Luther King Assassination Conspiracy
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s murder in Memphis on April 4, 1968 The follow was disclosed during the wrongful death lawsuit of the King family versus Loyd Jowers "and other unknown co-conspirators,"
Dr. William F. Pepper was the King Family's lawyer-investigator in the 1999 Circuit Court trial in Memphis, Tennessee.
On December 8, 1999 the jury found Loyd Jowers:73, found guilty as charged.
Jowers told his story to Sam Donaldson on Prime Time Live. He said he had been asked to help in the murder of King and was told there would be a decoy (Ray) in the plot. He was also told that the police "wouldn't be there that night."
Jowers said the man who asked him to help in the murder was a Mafia-connected produce dealer named Frank Liberto. Liberto, now deceased, had a courier deliver $100,000 for Jowers to hold at his restaurant, Jim's Grill, the back door of which opened onto the dense bushes across from the Lorraine Motel. Jowers said he was visited the day before the murder by a man named Raul, who brought a rifle in a box.
On the tape Jowers says that meetings to plan the assassination occurred at Jim's Grill. He said the planners included undercover Memphis Police Department (MPD) officer Marrell McCollough (who now works for the Central Intelligence Agency, and who is referenced in the trial transcript as Merrell McCullough), MPD Lieutentant Earl Clark (who died in 1987), a third police officer, and two men Jowers did not know but thought were federal agents.
As Mike Vinson reported in the March-April Probe, other witnesses testified to their knowledge of Liberto's involvement in King's slaying. Store-owner John McFerren said he arrived around 5:15 pm, April 4, 1968, for a produce pick-up at Frank Liberto's warehouse in Memphis. (King would be shot at 6:0l pm.) When he approached the warehouse office, McFerren overheard Liberto on the phone inside saying, "Shoot the son-of-a-bitch on the balcony."
Café-owner Lavada Addison, a friend of Liberto's in the late 1970's, testified that Liberto had told her he "had Martin Luther King killed." Addison's son, Nathan Whitlock, said when he learned of this conversation he asked Liberto point-blank if he had killed King.
"[Liberto] said, `I didn't kill the nigger but I had it done.' I said, `What about that other son-of-a-bitch taking credit for it?' He says, `Ahh, he wasn't nothing but a troublemaker from Missouri. He was a front man . . . a setup man.'"
The jury also heard a tape recording of a two-hour-long confession Jowers made at a fall 1998 meeting with Martin Luther King's son Dexter and former UN Ambassador Andrew Young. Young testified that his impression from the 1998 meeting was that the aging, ailing Jowers "wanted to get right with God before he died, wanted to confess it and be free of it."
Former UN Ambassador Andrew Young, who witnessed the assassination, can be heard on the tape identifying McCollough as the man kneeling beside King's body on the balcony in a famous photograph. According to witness Colby Vernon Smith, McCollough had infiltrated a Memphis community organizing group, the Invaders, which was working with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In his trial testimony Young said the MPD intelligence agent was "the guy who ran up [the balcony stairs] with us to see Martin."
Jowers says on the tape that right after the shot was fired he received a smoking rifle at the rear door of Jim's Grill from Clark. He broke the rifle down into two pieces and wrapped it in a tablecloth. Raul picked it up the next day. Jowers said he didn't actually see who fired the shot that killed King, but thought it was Clark, the MPD's best marksman.
On the night of April 3, 1968, Floyd E. Newsum, a black firefighter told that he had been temporarily transferred, effective April 4, from Fire Station 2, located across the street from the Lorraine Motel, to Fire Station 31.
The only other black firefighter at Fire Station 2, Norvell E. Wallace, testified that he, too, received orders from his superior officer on the night of April 3 for a temporary transfer to a fire station far removed from the Lorraine Motel. He was later told vaguely that he had been threatened. He said he never received a satisfactory explanation for his transfer. "No. Never did. Not to this day."
In the March-April Probe, Mike Vinson described the similar removal of Ed Redditt, a black Memphis Police Department detective, from his Fire Station 2 surveillance post two hours before King's murder.
Redditt testified that late in the afternoon of April 4, MPD Intelligence Officer Eli Arkin came to Fire Station 2 to take him to Central Headquarters. There Police and Fire Director Frank Holloman (formerly an FBI agent for 25 years, seven of them as supervisor of J. Edgar Hoover's office) ordered Redditt home, against his wishes and accompanied by Arkin. The reason Holloman gave Redditt for his removal from the King watch Redditt had initiated the day before was that his life had been threatened.
In an interview after the trial, Redditt told me the story of how his 1978 testimony on this question before the House Select Committee on Assassinations was part of a heavily pressured cover-up. "It was a farce," he said, "a total farce." Redditt was first grilled by the committee for eight straight hours in a closed executive session. After a day of hostile questioning, Redditt finally said late in the afternoon, "I came here as a friend of the investigation, not as an enemy of the investigation. You don't want to deal with the truth."
Former MPD Captain Jerry Williams had been responsible for forming a special security unit of black officers whenever King came to Memphis (the unit Redditt had served on. When King arrived at the airport on April 3, 1968, Williams was for some reason not asked to form the special black bodyguard. He was told years later by his inspector that this change for the usual practice, occurred because somebody in King's entourage had asked specifically for no black security officers.
Philip Melanson, author of the Martin Luther King Assassination (1991), described his investigation into the April 4 pullback of four tactical police units that had been patrolling the immediate vicinity of the Lorraine Motel.
In a 1995 deposition by James Earl Ray that was read to the jury, Ray told of meeting Raul in Montreal in the summer of 1967, three months after Ray had escaped from a Missouri prison. According to Ray, Raul guided Ray's movements, gave him money for the Mustang car and the rifle, and used both to set him up in Memphis.
Jowers had identified Raul from a photo. . (Private investigator John Billings said in separate testimony that this picture was a passport photograph from 1961, when Raul had immigrated from Portugal to the U.S.)
Saltman and Pepper, working on independent investigations, located Raul in 1995. He was living quietly with his family in the northeastern U.S. It was there in 1997 that journalist Barbara Reis of the Lisbon Publico, working on a story about Raul, spoke with a member of his family. Reis testified that she had spoken in Portuguese to a woman in Raul's family who, after first denying any connection to Ray's Raul, said "they" had visited them. "Who?" Reis asked. "The government," said the woman. She said government agents had visited them three times over a three-year period. The government, she said, was watching over them and monitoring their phone calls. The woman took comfort and satisfaction in the fact that her family (so she believed) was being protected by the government.
Carthel Weeden, captain of Fire Station 2 in 1968, testified that he was on duty the morning of April 4 when two U.S. Army officers approached him. The officers said they wanted a lookout for the Lorraine Motel. Weeden said they carried briefcases and indicated they had cameras. Weeden showed the officers to the roof of the fire station. He left them at the edge of its northeast corner behind a parapet wall. From there the Army officers had a bird's-eye view of Dr. King's balcony doorway and could also look down on the brushy area adjacent to the fire station. The testimony of writer Douglas Valentine filled in the background of the men Carthel Weeden had taken up to the roof of Fire Station 2. While Valentine was researching his book The Phoenix Program (1990), on the CIA's notorious counterintelligence program against Vietnamese villagers, he talked with veterans in military intelligence who had been re-deployed from the Vietnam War to the sixties antiwar movement. They told him that in 1968 the Army's 111th Military Intelligence Group kept Martin Luther King under 24-hour-a-day surveillance. Its agents were in Memphis April 4. As Valentine wrote in The Phoenix Program, they "reportedly watched and took photos while King's assassin moved into position, took aim, fired, and walked away." Testimony which juror David Morphy later described:
was that of former CIA operative Jack Terrell, a whistle-blower in the Iran-Contra scandal. Terrell, who was dying of liver cancer in Florida, testified by videotape that his close friend J.D. Hill had confessed to him that he had been a member of an Army sniper team in Memphis assigned to shoot "an unknown target" on April 4. After training for a triangular shooting, the snipers were on their way into Memphis to take up positions in a watertower and two buildings when their mission was suddenly cancelled. Hill said he realized, when he learned of King's assassination the next day, that the team must have been part of a contingency plan to kill King if another shooter failed. Terrell said J.D. Hill was shot to death. His wife was charged with shooting Hill (in response to his drinking), but she was not indicted. From the details of Hill's death, Terrell thought the story about Hill's wife shooting him was a cover, and that his friend had been assassinated. In an interview, Terrell said the CIA's heavy censorship of his book Disposable Patriot (1992) included changing the paragraph on J.D. Hill's death, so that it read as if Terrell thought Hill's wife was responsible.
NOTE: Kill the shooter to end the trail that could lead back to the conspirers.
Walter Fauntroy, Dr. King's colleague and a 20-year member of Congress, chaired the subcommittee of the 1976-78 House Select Committee on Assassinations that investigated King's assassination. Fauntroy testified in Memphis that in the course of the HSCA investigation "it was apparent that we were dealing with very sophisticated forces.

October 1, 2008: A leaked report that the British Ambassador in Kabul believes that US strategy is wrong and the war is as good as lost. The potentially explosive views were published by Le Canard Enchaîné, a respected French weekly, which said that they were direct quotations from a diplomatic cable written by François Fitou, the French Deputy Ambassador in Kabul." Mr Fitou reported to President Sarkozy's office and his own Foreign Ministry that Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, the British Ambassador, believed that "American strategy is destined to fail" in Afghanistan, according to the newspaper. "The current situation is bad. The security situation is getting worse. So is corruption and the Government has lost all trust. Our public statements should not delude us over the fact that the insurrection, while incapable of winning a military victory, nevertheless has the capacity to make life increasingly difficult, including in the capital. "The presence - especially the military presence - of the coalition is part of the problem, not the solution. The foreign forces are ensuring the survival of a regime which would collapse without them. In doing so, they are slowing down and complicating an eventual exit from the crisis (which, moreover, will probably be dramatic)." Sir Sherard, 53, was also quoted as saying that while Britain had no alternative to supporting the United States, the Americans should be told to change strategy. Reinforcing the military presence against the Taleban insurrection would be counter-productive, he said, according to Le Canard. "It would identify us even more clearly as an occupying force and it would multiply the number of targets (for the insurgents)," he was quoted as saying. The allied governments should start preparing public opinion to accept that the only realistic solution for Afghanistan was to be ruled by "an acceptable dictator". The defense bill includes $68.6 billion to pursue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is only a down payment on the full yearly cost of these wars. (The rest will be raised through future supplementary bills.) It also included a 3.9 percent pay raise for military personnel, and $5 billion in pork-barrel projects not even requested by the administration or the Secretary of Defense. It also fully funds the Pentagon's request for a radar site in the Czech Republic, a harebrained scheme sure to infuriate the Russians just as much as a Russian missile base in Cuba once infuriated us. The whole bill passed by a vote of 392-39 and will fly through the Senate, where a similar bill has already been approved. We would better respect our armed forces by bringing the futile and misbegotten wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to an end. We should begin our disengagement from Afghanistan at once. Corporate-Controlled Consortium Wants to Cull Online "Conspiracy Theories"
A foundation populated by the giants of business, banking, government and military wants to “vet” websites and limit the spread of information that it says creates “conspiracy theories”.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) says it is worried about the way the web has been “used to spread disinformation”. They want to introduce a new system that would give websites a label for trustworthiness or unreliability.
Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director and inventor of the World Wide Web, said in his BBC News interview: “The internet needs a way to help people separate rumor from real science. On the web the thinking of cults can spread very rapidly and suddenly a cult which was 12 people who had some deep personal issues find a formula which is very believable. A conspiracy theory of sorts, and one which you can imagine spreading to thousands of people and being deeply damaging."
What is so deeply disturbing about this though is that he, along with his consortium members, believe they have a monopoly on neutral and truthful information; that somehow some “entity” should decide for you what’s “bunkum” and what’s not, rather than letting you make up your own mind. =============

During last night's first presidential debate, Senator John McCain made no fewer than four references to veterans’ issues. This is a huge development for a candidate who did not mention veterans once in his entire 50-minute acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention just a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, rather than offering specifics last night, Senator McCain simply made assertions that would require the willing suspension of disbelief for anyone who has taken the time to examine the candidates' respective records on veterans issues.
Comment: Below I have noted information about the CIA and FBI having knowledge about two alleged 9/11 hijackers being connected to Saudi Intelligence prior to 9/11, but withholding that information. I use the term “alleged” because I don’t think the facts add up.

The CIA was tracking the hijackers and knew they were mujihadeen and associated with so called terrorists. They deliberately let them into the U.S. The C.I.A. did not ask the State Department to place Khalid al-mihdhar and Nawaf al-hazmi names on a watch list intended to prevent entry into the United States until late August 2001. By then, they were both in the country. FBI Director Freeh, asked for any information from the CIA on what they had on the al Qaeda meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Despite the fact that the CIA did indeed have this information, they either denied its existence or refused to respond to the FBI’s requests. The CIA withheld material information from an ongoing FBI investigation, which was a crime.
In July 2001, emails between high-level CIA managers and CIA officers, indicated that al-Mihdhar was going to take part in the next big al Qaeda attack. When these CIA officers requested permission to transfer this information to the FBI, they were denied. Yet, at almost the same time, CIA Director Tenet was holding meetings at the White House describing a huge al Qaeda attack about to take place inside of the US.
On August 22, 2001, when the CIA discovered that both Mihdhar and Hazmi were in the US, the CIA knew they were here to take part in a huge (alleged) al Qaeda attack. High level managers at the CIA Bin Laden unit, the CIA Yemen station, prevented the transfer of information regarding the Kuala Lumpur meeting to the FBI investigators, the FBI Bin laden unit, the FBI RFU and even by the Director of the FBI. FBI HQ in Washington was warned to spread the word about suspicious Arabs at flight training school by Special Agent Steven Butler in Arizona, and they refused to spread that word. FBI HQ in Washington refused to allow the MN agents to check out Zacarias Moussaoui. (see below information on the FBI refusing to allow searches and interview of Moussaoui by MN FBI office ).
"Government officials told U.S. News that Butler disclosed that he had been monitoring a flow of Saudi Arabian money that wound up in the hands of two of the (alleged) 9/11 hijackers. The two men had rented a room from a man Butler had used as a confidential informant, According to officials familiar with his account, Butler said that he had alerted his superiors about the money flows but the warning went nowhere. When these two alleged hijackers got to America, the person who picked them up and actually moved them into this informants apartment was Omar al-Bayoumi, an agent of Saudi Arabia. He even paid their first months rent and opened up a bank account for them. The money was reimbursed into his own account. Princess Haifa Al-Faisal sent the to Majeda Dweikat, the Jordanian wife of Osama Basnan, a Saudi living in San Diego. Basnan’s wife signs many of the checks over to her friend Manal Bajadr, the wife of Omar al-Bayoumi. The payments are made through Riggs Bank, a bank which appears to have turned a blind eye to Saudi embassy transaction and also has longstanding ties to covert CIA operations. Basnan and his wife were “very good friends” of al-Bayoumi and his wife. Both couples lived at the Parkwood Apartments at the same time as the two (alleged) hijackers. Many US investigators will later conclude that al-Bayoumi was in fact a Saudi spy.
Some FBI officials allegedly conclude that Alhazmi and Almihdhar also were connected to Saudi intelligence. When Al-hazmi and Al-mihdhar attend a San Diego flying school in May 2000, they are accompanied by one or even two men called Hani. (Possibly Hani Hanjour) Senator Bob Graham (D) co-chaired the congressional inquiry into the Sept. 11 attacks, alleges that the White House has covered up possible Saudi Arabian government connections to hijackers Nawaf Alhazmi and Khalid Almihdhar. He also concludes that President Bush directed the FBI “to restrain and obfuscate” investigations into these ties, possibly to protect US-Saudi relations.

Within days of the 9-11 attacks, agents of New Scotland Yard, working in conjunction with the FBI, raided al-Bayoumi's apartment in England and found papers hidden beneath the floorboards, according to Newsweek magazine, that had the phone numbers of several officials at the Saudi embassy in Washington 9/11 commission cover-up attempts: "Separately, documents made public in federal court in Alexandria, Va., late last month showed that the Justice Department sought unsuccessfully to prevent F.B.I. agents, and the bureau's director, Robert S. Mueller III, from testifying publicly before the joint inquiry." That was intentional by the way. So what about this FBI Agent testifying,(that Ashcroft and Mueller tried to prevent) who was the handler of this informant?......

The first indication of a cover-up came when President Bush attempted to appoint Henry Kissinger to head the 9/11 Commission. Kissinger's consulting firm, Kissinger Associates, has had dealings with Saudi Arabia in the past (Scheer, no pagination). When the public and activists raised the roof over this move, Henry was replaced with Thomas Kean. Kean is the director of oil giant Amerada Hess (Hicks 76). At the time of the 9/11 hearings Amerada Hess was conducting a joint venture with the Saudi Arabian oil company Delta Oil (76). In May 2000, Alhazmi and Almihdhar arrived at Sorbi’s Flying Club, a small school 20 miles north of San Diego, and announced that they wanted to learn to fly Boeing airliners. [Washington Post, 9/30/01] They were there with someone named “Hani”—presumably hijacker Hani Hanjour—but only the two of them went up in an airplane. [South Florida Sun-Sentinel, 9/28/01] Instructor Rick Garza says the dream to fly big jets is the goal of practically every student who comes to the school, but what he noticed as unusual was their lack of any basic understanding of aircraft. Once, he asked Al-mihdhar to draw the aircraft. “He drew the wings on backwards,” he said. Both spoke English poorly, but Almihdhar in particular seemed impossible to communicate with. Rather than following the instructions he was given, he would vaguely reply, “Very good. Very nice.” [Chicago Tribune, 9/30/01] The two offered extra money to Garza if he would teach them to fly multi-engine Boeing planes, but Garza had to decline. [Washington Post, 9/30/01] “I told them they had to learn a lot of other things first… It was like Dumb and Dumber. I mean, they were clueless. There are several reports that Alhazmi traveled to Arizona in January 2001, where he met up with 9/11 plotter Hani Hanjour to resume his flight training. For example, Newsweek reported that after “having flunked out of two California flight schools, [Alhazmi] decided to try his luck in Phoenix” where the magazine said he stayed until April 2001. [Newsweek, 6/2/02] The Los Angeles Times also reported that Alhazmi had renewed his flight training in Arizona but failed to mention for how long. [Los Angeles Times, 9/1/02] Another piece of evidence suggesting that Alhazmi had continued his training in Arizona included a cashier’s check for a Phoenix-area flight school that was found in his car by FBI agents shortly after the attacks as well as evidence that he and Hanjour had flown from Phoenix to Las Vegas in June 2001. Comment: This sounds to me like more false evidence deliberately left to prove the 9/11 jets was flown by some of the alleged hijackers- the patsies.
At the same time that the FBI was getting close to investigating Alhazmi and Almihdhar, the Mossad, Israel’s feared secret service, gave the US an urgent warning, according to recent reports from Germany. These reports say that on August 23, 2001, the Mossad gave the CIA a list of terrorists living in the US and said that they appeared to be planning to carry out an attack in the near future. It appears that a spy ring run by the Mossad had been closely following these terrorists for many months.
A Drug Enforcement Administration report on the Israeli spy ring noted the presence of Israeli spies in San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona at times when Alhazmi and Almihdhar would have been in those cities. This report was dated June 2001 and was leaked after 9/11. [DEA Report, 6/01]
Nawaf Alhazmi and Khalid Almihdhar were not like the other hijackers. While it is true that the two Saudis were of a similar age and the same nationality as most of the other 9/11 conspirators (Alhazmi was 25 and Almihdhar was 26 [Newsweek, 6/2/02]), they had much more worldly and militant backgrounds than the others, despite their young ages. In the mid-1990s both apparently were in the Bosnia conflict, and then fought in Chechnya at various times between 1996 and 1998. It is not possible and the fact is, the true identities of the 9-11 hijackers remains a mystery. In the days following the disclosure of the "hijackers" names and faces, no less than 7 of the Arab individuals named came forward to protest their obvious innocence. 67
That's right! Seven of the nineteen "hijackers" are alive and well. They were victims of identity theft, some of whom had had their passports stolen. They were interviewed by several news organizations including the Telegraph of England. Here’s an excerpt from David Harrison’s Telegraph story entitled: Revealed: The Men With Stolen Identities: "Their names were flashed around the world as suicide hijackers who carried out the attacks on America. But yesterday four innocent men told how their identities had been stolen. The men - all from Saudi Arabia - spoke of their shock at being mistakenly named by the FBI as suicide terrorists. None of the four was in the United States on September 11 and all are alive in their home country. The Telegraph obtained the first interviews with the men since they learnt that they were on the FBI's list of hijackers who died in the crashes in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. All four said that they were "outraged" to be identified as terrorists. One has never been to America and another is a Saudi Airlines pilot who was on a training course in Tunisia at the time of the attacks. Saudi Airlines said it was considering legal action against the FBI for seriously damaging its reputation and that of its pilots." 68
SalemAl-Hazmi "Mr Al-Hamzi is 26 and had just returned to work at a petrochemical complex in the industrial eastern city of Yanbou after a holiday in Saudi Arabia when the hijackers struck. He was accused of hijacking the American Airlines Flight 77 that hit the Pentagon." - Telegraph 23rd September 2001.

Even after the above has appeared in the world's media the FBI has made no attempt to alter its web-sites which clearly list the wrong names, wrong photos, wrong identities and probably wrong nationalities of the real hijackers. Given that the hijackers (if there were any) were clearly using false identities, why has the FBI never attempted to find out the hijackers true identities? Why does the FBI seem totally disinterested in apprehending the real culprits? This lack of action from one of our "trusted" government departments is very close to treason.

Mike Ruppert based his information upon confirmation, in writing, from a NORAD official, though the wargame remains classified. This was one of five wargames/simulations on the morning of 9/11, many with confusingly similar names (the confusion no doubt intentional): "Vigilant Guardian", "Northern Vigilance", "Vigilant Warrior", etc.
We already know that the CIA, through the National Reconaissance Office, was conducting a simulation of planes flying into buildings on the morning of Sept 11. This was called a "bizarre coincidence": The Pentagon, under the auspices of the Joint Chiefs, was running a live-fly exercise of a response to multiple hijackings. Numerous aircraft, military and civilian, were used in the exercise. Do you remember that day, hearing that a dozen or so other aircraft were thought hijacked? This is why. With many fighters already committed to other wargames, the number remaining to respond to a threat were outnumbered by the number of apparently hijacked planes. With the transponders switched off, identities of the genuine threat from the simulated became confused. On the same morning of 9/11, the Pentagon, under the auspices of the Joint Chiefs, was running a live-fly exercise of a response to multiple hijackings. Ruppert noted also the change in the standing orders for shoot down on June 1 2001, which took the decisions out of the hands of the field officers and gave it solely to the Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld. Ruppert suggests that confusion was sewn to blind commanders who might be anticipated to send fighters into the sky and seek approval after the fact. This, in fact, did happen.
