The GOP sees a short turn bargain in being obstructionist, but what will be the long time cost they will have to pay for not trying to governing during this critical period? How will history write about the Obstructionist GOP? Will they be identified as the destroyers of the republic?
How will historians appraise the GOP taking the nation into two wars, running up the national debt, and then becoming obstructionist to any solutions to solve the mess they have created? Historians will have an insidious story of obstructionism to tell about the GOP. To be sure, the GOP is on the wrong side of history.
The counties that Obama went to in New Jersey Corzine carried. Obama went to Essex and Camden counties Corzine carried both counties. These counties have a large Afro-American vote. Corzine also carried Mercer Country where Trenton is located. Trenton also has a high Afro-American population. Obama brought out vote in the counties where he stumped for Corzine. Maybe in the last days of the campaign, Obama needed to have stumped in more counties.
