The White House has confirmed that Obama will be in Bozeman on Friday August 14th. I feel we should do what ever is needed to make a strong stand behind President Obama and Health Care Reform.
Is anyone interested in helping?
De-flation is the answer to our countries problems. It's just my opion but we spent the last twenty years just inflateing our economy like a spare tire. We put so much air in that tire that it finally blew up. Geoge Bush and his fellow million air friends were so busy making money with there war and there ponzi schemes on wall street thet they took there eye off the air pressure gauge that that bubble had to burst and alot of people got hurt and lost all there money. Well us poor folks down here at the bottom don't really care because we don't have nothing to lose. Were already one push from the street. The other day I heard a news caster say something funny she said what good would green collar jobs and other manu. jobs do for us we on wall street don't know how to do that kind of work. Well I wish someone would tell these news casters that it's not the white collars i'm worried about it's us blue collar people the people at the bottom. When Barack Obama was talking about starting at the bottom he wasn't talking about the people that work on wall street at least I hope he wasn't. If you've been working on wall street for the last few years you should have enough money put it away to make it through this recession.
I was talking to my son today Christmas Eve I didn't have a present for him and he didn't have the money to get me one neither, but thats alright he's older now and understands. We sat here and talked, we talked about how hard things are now because 25 years ago I was 25 years old and I had know problem takeing care of my family. It seemed like there was a job on every corner and prices were LOW enough that we could afford a christmas tree and presents. Our wages were compatible with the prices of food and clothes. I rent a small apartment now and 25 years ago with the money i am paying for this apartment I rented a three bedroom house on a coner lot in a very nice suburb of Detroit. And the answer is simply inflation prices keep going up while our wages and jobs either get cut or get sent to mexico or india. I believe if you take away a mans wages or his only means to take care of his family then you must help that individual. And the only way thats going to happen is if we de-flate that bubble the prices of food and mortgages must go down there is no way a man can pay his house payment working at Burger King. If you notice the only ones crying are the rich but at the end of the day they will still eating steak. Simple if want to lower the wages lower the prices lower every thing all the way around. Banks have to change the way they do loans go back to the way it was before Bush got his big idea about giving everyone a house well thats fine but not everyone can afford a house. You have to make people save there money so that that they can put a down payment on the house. I just heard a commercial on t.v. it was a furniture store saying no payments for 18 months what people don't understand is that it is all a scam they don't want you to pay off that loan they just want to use it for a write OFF. Come on people get smart pay cash or don't but it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS RANDY!!!
It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared thedestiny of a nation. Yes we can.
It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trailtoward freedom through the darkest of nights. Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores andpioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness. Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for theballot; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality. Yes we can to opportunity andprosperity. Yes we can heal this nation. Yes we can repair thisworld. Yes we can." (from Barack Obama's famous "Yes We Can" Speech)
In my work as an interfaith lay Chaplain, I have studied the sacred texts of many cultures and religions. Unlike President George Bush, Barack Obama never claimed to speak with G-d personally, nor to be anything other than a human being with human flaws. However, like other great leaders in history (Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., the Buddha, the Dalai Lama, Moses, etc.), his words may be divinely inspired from his reading of the great sacred texts, and in them, we may all find a higher purpose.
I believe Barack Obama's words have inspired a generation of people all over the world to find a higher purpose... to use their own sacred texts to find their way, to unite this country, and to bring peace to this fractured world.
I honor the Withrow family for recognizing these spiritual words where they found them, and to accept a call for a more noble and honorable life. I honor them for sharing their spiritual truth, in their own personal way as a family, and by exercising their first amendment rights to express their own spirituality during the holiday season.
As a sign of my support for, and solidarity with, the Withrow family and with people who have heard the Call for Change, I will find a holiday ornament of my own, paint on it the words, "Yes We Can" and place it in my front yard for all the world to see.
Happy Holidays. G-d, please Bless America. YES WE CAN.

Treat poor and middle income families. It is a disgrace. If I had just ten minutes to sit down with you one on one, I would include in my list the following...
I had a job for 15yrs. I had another job for 9 years, then all heck broke loose.
I paid and am still paying student loan/s for truck driving school. I can not begin to tell you how I was treated. It is difficult enough to go on the road, especially as a female. I was placed with two different men and one woman. The men were too busy calling me blondi (which I am not). I may be older and my mind may not be as sharp as it used to be. That certainly does not give them the right to talk so down to you. When I brought it up to management, they turned it on me. When with the female, although we never became friends, she at least treated me fairly. I was not new to the road. I had driven commercial transit for nine years. They were very fair to me their. I was burnt out, but the only thing I figured I could do was truck driving. After I told management, I was completely and utterly blackballed by the company and management. I was far away from home, had my luggage, and spent over $3000.00 on the road just surviving. They claim they are going to pay for things and then do not. I never asked for a dime, not even a pay advance. Although they encourage you to request pay advances in order to own you as much as possible. Everyone you speak with is completely mistreated. I was called upstairs of Company_Dallas to speak to a woman in charge. When I went upstairs, I new it was about my complaint of requesting another truck. I new that it would not be good, because this trainer had told me point blank, he had the power, he was the tester before and his word was what they would listen to. I had told him I wanted off the truck when we passed through my state the night before cause he would drink and drive, and gamble and drink and drive. When I was paged, I was on the phone in a private place talking about going to another company because of my gut feeling. When called up, sure enough, she blamed me, called and lied to the guy I had spoken with to get in their. When I tryed to tell him the truth, she started screaming at me, she grabbed the phone and I left the office concerned for my safety. When I went downstairs, I went outside. The others saw me in tears and asked what happened. I told them I was fired. They said they can't do that to you. Just then the phone rang. It was the other company lady. Just as I answered, one of the hooligans came down and screamed at me to get off the phone, as he poked me very hard on my back. He was much bigger then me. In the same breathe of saying this over and over, he then says we want you off the property right now. As I am getting my things as fast as I can move, he continues to scream at me, and gets two younger guys to keep getting in front of me so I could not move forward or to the sides as they harass me and scream. This did not happen in the 1950s. This happened to a grandmother of seven in 2005. Then I come back home. I decide I am going to make a fresh start. I worked two jobs at the same time most of my life. In 2008, while working two jobs, I had received a phone call at my first job. I did not answer being respectful of policies. I had given the pet store a three month notice. In between the two jobs, which was an hour, I listened to message. I had just had a close family member die, my husband had a second stroke, now my very best friend whom was truly like a brother dropped dead at 57 years old in Walgreens. I was so upset. I was overwhelmed to say the least. I should not even have been driving, but I wanted to make sure they were covered at my second job. When I arrived, I did not see any management around, but found a co worker to cover me and explained the situation asking her to let management know. I took one evening off. I received a call the next night scheduled at my other job that I was not only terminated, but they were noting in my file I was terminated due to unprofessional conduct. I had, had several young folks approach me some time prior to this and tell me there was a young lady worker come in and forget her belt. They made her wear a leash. This was a pet store. Then once, they kept pushing for me to cover at another store. I told them I would only do it under certain conditions. The manager at that time agreed. They had gone through a lot of managers in the time I worked their. I went to the other store and worked. They were supposed to pay me 295.00 and never did pay. They told me all they had to do was pay for gas. I never received my pay for that. At my other company I worked for 17 months. Doing my job and doing it very well, I had gone in to my boss's office to ask her a question about work. She turned, and just kept talking while looking at me. I happened to look down and saw a tablet that had my name all over it. I tried not to read anything, but I could not get over one little sentence that was very personal and had nothing to do with work. When I confronted her, she blamed me saying I should have not read anything and just left. And wrote me up. I was refused copies. Found a job a few days later. The whole time, they are telling me that professionalism, firm, fair, consistant, respect. The second day, the trainer tells me to get up and stretch. I choose to read and learn their literature instead. Male power ego type. I guess he felt that I was smarter at some point then he was although I never think of myself as better or worse then anyone else. He tells me that this classmate is going to go farther then me. This classmate's husband works their so I say, of coarse, her husband works here. She already knows the ropes. I am learning. He sicks the boss on me. he tells me that others are allowed things that I am not. Tells me the deal of me working their is not sealed for at least two weeks and I am timid and have reservation. I thought of coarse. I am getting ready to maybe work in an environment with inmates. Who would not? But what really got to me was how they were preaching respect, and professionalism. Then why, unless to play games would they bring up this about a classmate. This was none of my business. But too many things were said in the two days that should have been privacy issues and never stated. So again, I left. Now out of work, I have no idea what I am going to do. I know if this is happening to me, it MUST be happening to others.
I have worked hard my entire life. I like to work at a company that treats me with respect. I can not seem to find any of companies that treat their workers fairly any more. I am not afraid of hard work. Even with a bad back, and other problems, I still just want a fair and decent job. Where Production is more important then games. I try to remember that if I believe in GOD, there is nothing to fear. I have eight grandchildren. Two of these baby girls are very specially challenged. When did it become wrong to just want to be treated decent??? That is all I ask for. I want for my grandchildren to get a fair shake in life. Men in my family did not go to war, for this to be happening. I tried to contact womens rights group, and other groups just so they stop this horrible treatment. With NO success what so ever. I was given every excuse in the book. It just has to stop. IT MUST STOP. Bring Back Our Morals. I thought long and hard about posting these things. It may come back and haunt me. But these kinds of practices just have to stop. If your voice can change the millions. Then I do believeanyway that even one voice speaking and one other listening and maybe realizing we don't have to stand for this any more, it will be all worth it. I pray you can help us while your in office with this kind of treatment from companies. RESPECTFULLY SIR
Thanks for the email Judith. I was out hanging/knocking from 7am till 7:58pm elections night [after which, I went and sat under a tree at the foot of the mountain,(in the rain) and prayed...and prayed....and cried...and prayed and sent hope and faith---while the deer, looked on, (I was in their spot...)]. Despite nursing school, I worked tirelessly and spent several 12 hour days before that, through-out the campaign (hundreds of phone calls, too many doors to count). I had successfully distributed the 20 copies of Barack's book that I bought in June, I spoke tirelessly with family and friends...I donated more than I had, to the campaign (I am a single mother of three boys)...knowing, that, if each of us did all we could. and saw the vision as real...(as Michele told us) we could get there. Hallelujah!!!! Thank God almighty... I have waited for over 30 years for this day... I had given up all hope. I truly cannot believe that I have lived to see this day. I know that our task now, is to find those in our community who voted for McCain. and to build bridges....and try to mend fences.. Lets hope we can make progress there. I saw a house that put a McCain sign next to their two Obama signs-after the acceptance speech. I thought that was nice. Thank your for your dedication. Lets all stay in touch. This exceptional, brilliant, and amazing man, and his family, need our support, love, and prayers. He now embodies all of our hope. What a burden. May the Light of Joy and Grace walk with him. God bless...and I can say it now....Isn't Michele Obama the most amazing, powerful, beautiful, awesome woman.mother!!? She embodies all my values as a mother. I am an artist...and my children are my masterpiece. God bless her. She is a goddess...and a powerful sister. we are so blessed. I bow before them both.
Be Well, Lori Skyrud 639 W. Kent Ave. Missoula, MT 59801 will you be at the meeting tonight at 7, city hall?? dem. meeting?
A historic and amazing time in history.
On Nov 4, 2008 we elected Barack Obama. A Mullato Black man from Hawaii. Both parents where not always around. Both parents died young. Grandparents raised him, and his grandmother died the day before he won the biggest election of our life. Against all the odds. He persevered. Believed in himself. Educated himself, and went without. Lived in South Chicago to learn about his community. Never stopped, or gave up. He was the first Black President at Harvard. He is an American. He reached out across racial lines, bridging the gap between the ages. We have now been propelled into the future, and we have now experienced a country just transforming itself. Thank you to all the Americans who voted. Take enormous pride in your actions. We fighted for our positions. We have made our choice. It's now time to come together.

OK, we worked hard, rode the rollar coaster of this election through to success for Barack and ourselves. Now what? Here's what I'm doing. I'm reaching out to McCain supporters with the hand of friendship. Today I am taking a pink rose from the mixed boquet I bought myself yesterday after voting and giving it to the mother with the McCain/Palin bumper sticker whose son is in the same pre-k class as my son (who hugged both Barack and Joe in the 48 hours before polls opened! Kid gets at least one benefit from having a disabled mother - close-up seats at political rallies by sitting on my lap while I'm in a wheelchair and praying that none of us have to go to the bathroom before the rally ends and the crowd thins out). Open the walls of this tent and invite the rest of the country into to help with this work, by extending some personal kindness to someone you were trying hard not to sneer at for their lawn signs the last month or so. Live the kind of world you want to reside in.

Hi! We made history. When Barack Obama was elected President today it was because of a trillion small acts from millions of Americans ovet the past 2 years that has brought us to this moment. Every little thing we do has an impact be it big or small. Every little thing can matter a great deal. A little push is all it takes to set off a chain of dominos.
Each of you has contributed to this moment in history. We've each given what we could. Please take a moment to reflect and write down some of the things you did that mattered most to you, or write down everything you did. It doesn't matter. Then, pass this on to everyone you know who contributed time, energy, and/or money to this effort so they can be included.
Please cc meltzer7@charter.net . We'd like to see how the list grows.

Thank God, the community organizer is now the country organizer!
We are in for prosperity, progress and patriotism.
Yes indeed.

Pick up the phone and make calls. As a full-time working mother of 3 little kids, this was ONE thing I COULD do to support Obama, and to make a difference. In all honesty, people who heard my kids screaming or playing around in the background were much more response, and KNEW that this was something I was doing because I BELIEVED in it. I'm doing this FOR my kids. I have limited minutes on my cell phone, and have racked up enough long-distance charges on my land-line that it will take several months to pay off.... but it's WORTH it. I don't have the money to donate to the campaign, but I think that my calls are worth more than the few dollars they cost. I've 'met' many people in many different situations, and although I take the good with the bad - the majority of people are very gracious. CALL. MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!

It's being reported that Gov. Palin has received approximately $150,000 worth of high-end clothes and accessories paid for by campaign contributions. This is more than 3x the median household income and OUTRAGEOUS! There is a new petition to ask her to sell the clothes on eBay and give the proceeds to charity, preferably one that serves teen moms or special needs kids.
Sign the petition here:

Do you think the McCain/Palin ticket will begin to get the picture? Do you think certain people in the media will stop saying that Colin Powell supported Senator Obama because he is Black???

The 44th president of the United States will take office in an uncertain and dangerous time for this country. The challenges we face both overseas and here at home are complex and unfamiliar, and the road ahead is likely to be very different from the road we have traveled to get here.
Leading the country in such a time will require someone of intellect, creativity, honesty and passion for those traits that have made America great. That person is U.S. Sen. Barack Obama.
