Hi viewers of AM and hosts:
I have never heard anything as stupid or ignorant as the "stay at home republican mom" altered on CNN. she said and I quote" The government has never run anything efficiently". The same dumb statement repeated over an over by the zombies on the republican side: 1-America is the greated country in the world, and the government has "run" it into becoming the best in the world.2-America has the best military in the world. And the Government as made it what it is. The privatization by bush brought us , abugraib, and all other scandals and mismanagement by private contractors.3-Most insurances are subsidized through legislation that allows them to tax you the premiums you pay every months. 4-All legislation that allow private business to operate in peace and healthy competition is managed by Government.5-Keeping peace, making roads, and other infrastructures are government programs that run well: we have the best infrastructures in the world, thanks to our government planners. 5-Embassies and foreign services that pave the way to private business in foreign land, protect our interests all over the world, negotiate our participation in the world are all government run.
I was shocked to see CNN give voice to a woman who was merely voicing her own and republicans ignorance or duplicity on the air.
All those who voted for Obama's agenda rather than his good looks, get out there and defend your votes. 53% voted for now Prez. Obama after comparing his program to all the republicans' and democrats'. After two years of campagning, we finaly settled to chose among democrats Obama, Edward, and Clinton essentially. Then we selected Obama's agenda to present to Americans. The choice was between the republican agenda of More of the Same, presented by Mcain, and the democrats agenda of Reform (Heathcare and other reforms) presented by Obama. We made that choice in nov. 2008. Those who are out there trying to undo the votes casted in nov. are plotting a coup in the open. They are the same who failled to convince us to vote for Mcain and his status quo agenda. We voted for a particular reform, that lead and presented by Obama. We should stop these people before they change our democratic process as we know it. Are we going to become the next congo or suddan? Because if elections can't settle our affairs, it simply means that the street has taken over.
Why are we still debating whether to reform or not to reform healthcare? I thought that was settled in the Nov. 2008 elections when we carefully selected the right causes, programs and agenda from more than 8 candidates in 2 years! Among the Democrats, we selected Candidate Obama's agenda to , among other things, reform health care. Then compared it to Mcain's and the majority of Americans (53%) voted for Democrats and specifically Obama's Healthcare. The president, democrats and all those who voted for this reform, or simply those who want democracy to survive, should be out there reminding everyone that the election was over in Nov. 2008. What is going on out in these townhall is a hitjack of our democratic process, a "coup" where by Republicans want to overthrow a duely elected agenda with a president, the decision Americans took to reform Healthcare in Nov. 2008, through Obama' agenda. Don't temper with our Votes!!!!!!!! We don't want a watered down version either. I know that the republicans are hoping at least, to water down the bill on healthcare reform by their protest and intimidations so much so that no one would be happy with it, and the majority being unhappy, would never vote again for Obama, or the democrats, because he hasn't, they couldn't delivered for those who voted for him (them), in a doomed effort to satisfy those who didn't want him (them) in office in the first place: The republicans.
To support President Obama's Health Care Reform, here's a suggestion:
Plant a *Memorial Garden* with markers to show the number of dead & dying due to NO HEALTH CARE. We did this at SOU (Oregon) with Iraq casualties - it stretched for blocks. It was an astounding sight. You could not NOT be affected by it.
I am astounded, although I shouldn't be, of the nerve of many of the Republican Senators and Congresspeople that voted against the stimulus and have now gone back to their districts to tell their constituents about the money that will be coming their way due to the bill- sounding like heroes. bringing back money while they voted AGAINST the bill...
Also heard from a rumor ( true??) that Arlen Specter told reporters that many other Republicans would have voted for the bill but the party told them they would not back them for re-election. We always hope our elected officials would have more backbone, there are a few who have voted their conscience and represented their districts without compromising their values. Kudos to them
Working on more community service projects but with times so hard it is difficult to find people who have time to spare
Wish we were not going in Afghanistan, naive maybe but I don't believe "the terrorists" hate us for our freedoms but for constantly being in their countries!!

America and the world hare keeping palestinians in the largest prison in the world.
srael: positioning in israel for elections, Every leader in israel is looking out for the next election and the person who appears to destroy their enemy more will have more votes.
ethnic cleansing and genocide: Israel want to clean Palestine of its tribes and families to annex the palestine.
caving in to settlers. Israel want to clean Palestine of its tribes and families to resettle its own people.
Positioning in America: Israel wants to be the number one subject of america policy, not just policy. They want more tax dollars, and more lobby is out asking for money than they say. Reality is that Even journalists are making the case for more money to isreal. My take is that there is more problem in the world than israel. How about the congos, suddan, zimbabwe, somalia, and every place else in the world where poverty is killing people in silence?
The world has helped israel for centuries. Yet israel remain in the middle of every turn of help, despite the fact that it is the richest nation in that hemisphere.
Obama needs to tell israel that enough is enough. Obama needs to tell israel that it is high time America had other friends in the world and help the countries in the world that need American help enjoy a peaceful life, not a life of war.
America needs to start rewarding countries that exibit peaceful process to progress, to move faster, not those countries that are constantly vie for international and american attention with killings and genocide. WE NEED TO START REWARDING THE GOOD GUYS IN THE WORLD, NOT THE BAD GUYS.
I PROPOSE THAT THE US GOVERNMENT INSTITUTE A PRICE FOR ITS FOREIGN AID: 1ST PLACE GOES TO THE COUNTRY THAT HAS MADE MORE PROGRESS AND IN PEACE. AND SO ON, DOWN TO THE 5TH PLACE. NO COUNTRY WITH HUMAN RIGHT ISSUES WILL WIN, AND NO COUNTRY THAT HAD HAD A WAR IN THE PAST 5 YEARS WILL EVER WIN. EVEN IF THEY BECAME PEACEFUL, THEY WOULD HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF THE PEACE HELD FOR 5 YEARS.
We elected Obama for American problems, not for israeli problems.
The people's reaction is slow but steady, like a drop in the stream, or fast like a pouring deluge. Push them hard enough, and there is no stopping the resulting flood and devastation, one election rigging at a time.

One of the coolest things about joining with you all in the Obama campaign is that my work for Senator Obama, such as it was, was enough to get me noticed by the Jackson County Democrats leadership, and I've since been named the county chairman for the next two years.
I think that many of you got involved for the same reasons I did:
If that sounds familiar, and if that sounds like a path you'd like to continue walking after inaugriation day, please contact me at jcdchair@gmail.com. Even if Obama was the only politician you've ever worked for; even if you don't consider yourself a democrat - please consider working with the JCD. If you love the democratic platform, here's your chance to spread it; if you don't think you fit in with the party, here's your chance to change the party.
Over the next two years, I hope to grow the Jackson County Democrats with your participation. I hope to spread the party base from beyond the Ashland to Medford cooridor out into all parts of the county. I hope to broaden JCD participation in community service and outreach. I hope, in short, that we can continue to do the things we did for the Obama campaign in a way that helps Jackson county experience the rennaisance that our country will experience with this historic presidency.
What ever your skills, whatever your level of participation, we will have a spot for you. Please come help us make this party our party.
Respectfully,
Chris Len

JUST ANNOUNCED-THE FIRST AMERICAN TOWN TO VOTE-DIXVILLE NOTCH, NEW HAMPSHIRE-GOES:
OBAMA-15, MCCAIN-6
WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!
DENISE
Just got an invitation to a "BLUE BASH" for tomorrow. WRONG! Someone did not get the full extent of Barack Obama's vision. We are not red or blue ... we are UNITED. We need to understand PURPLE. In the words of a famous Republican, Mr. & Ms. partisan person, tear that wall down!
Let's celebrate the future of America TOGETHER because we need every single person on board to make the changes we need in order to have a future. No more clubs of "us against them" We MUST END THIS MENTALITY ONCE AND FOR ALL. We need everyone on the same page. I see an America where there are NO MORE invitations to Democrat or Republican events ... UNITED WE STAND. How about an "I LOVE AMERICA" party? With all viewpoints invited. What part of that do labelers, dividers and cliques not undertand? Let's move into the 21st centure - it is no longer every man for himself. GREED IS NOT GOOD !! There is no "trickle down" if the water is turned off altogether.
Maybe one day we will have one party ... full of liberals & conservatives & opposing opinions. Barack Obama teaches us that we do not have to agree in order to work together. We find common ground and build from there, because if we are HUMAN, there is common ground. We need a leader who understands this - we all need to understand this.
Good Morning!
I woke up early and watched coverage of Senator Obama's weekend rallies-AWESOME! The mood of the people contrasted sharply with that of the people shown at the other candidate's events. I think that those good folks at our rallies felt what I've felt lately-a sense that something's coming, something good (pardon me if I break into a show tune!) It's coming folks! But, we have some work to do between now and tomorrow night. After phonedbanking over the weekend, I'm surprised that there are still undecided voters out there! Let's get busy, or "git 'er done" as my Dad used to say. Before you head off to work or class this morning, take a moment and decide how you can help make a difference. On-line phonebanking is available and they are already calling to Virginia, North Carolina and other states. Or, head down to your local Obama office and find out what you can do to help. In Medford, call: (541)227-5107.
Senator Obama has always made a point of telling us that we are as much a part of this campaign as he is. It is the Campaign For Change-And, Change is coming! Help make it happen. Then join us at The RedRock in Medford and be with fellow supporters to watch the returns. If you can't make it, know that we will be thinking of all our Obama Family tomorrow night and drink a toast to you and the change that is coming! CHEERS! Denise
"No matter who wins, will there be any change?"My answer:Will there be? CHANGE HAS BEGUN already .... look around. People voting for principle, not party; Republicans embracing Democrats, people coming together to save our country & protect our future. Obama changing our thinking from division to unity; from red/blue to purple. YES!! I see people with HOPE in their eyes & on their faces. I see behaviors shifting and people suddenly thinking about values such as respect and responsibility. Lights are coming on, motives & agendas are being exposed. Look how many people are involved and INVESTED in our country. Look how many have been revived and are now praying and WORKING for the future of America. We are creating totally new paradigms and the dinosaurs are no longer ruining us. CHANGE began as soon as Barack was introduced in 2004. Some really huge foundations are splitting -- corruption is threatened -- selfishness is being harnessed -- the little guy now has a chance. No longer is this a country for the wealthy with everyone else begging for crumbs. "Trickle Down Economics" has been proven disastrous. Obama's vision will rebuild a foundation solid as a pyramid ... from the ground up. America will once again be of the people, for the people and BY the people. Finally genuine leaders & role models this time. Hallelujah. God Bless the United States of America!

The story courtesy of Huffington Post online:
William Timmons, the Washington lobbyist who John McCain has named to head his presidential transition team, aided an influence effort on behalf of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to ease international sanctions against his regime.
The two lobbyists who Timmons worked closely with over a five year period on the lobbying campaign later either pleaded guilty to or were convicted of federal criminal charges that they had acted as unregistered agents of Saddam Hussein's government.
During the same period beginning in 1992, Timmons worked closely with the two lobbyists, Samir Vincent and Tongsun Park, on a previously unreported prospective deal with the Iraqis in which they hoped to be awarded a contract to purchase and resell Iraqi oil. Timmons, Vincent, and Park stood to share at least $45 million if the business deal went through.
Timmons' activities occurred in the years following the first Gulf War, when Washington considered Iraq to be a rogue enemy state and a sponsor of terrorism. His dealings on behalf of the deceased Iraqi leader stand in stark contrast to the views his current employer held at the time.
John McCain strongly supported the 1991 military action against Iraq, and as recently as Sunday described Saddam Hussein as a one-time menace to the region who had "stated categorically that he would acquire weapons of mass destruction, and he would use them wherever he could."
Timmons declined to comment for this story. An office manager who works for him said that he has made it his practice during his public career to never speak to the press. Timmons previously told investigators that he did not know that either Vincent or Park were acting as unregistered agents of Iraq. He also insisted that he did not fully understand just how closely the two men were tied to Saddam's regime while they collaborated.
But testimony and records made public during Park's criminal trial, as well as other information uncovered during a United Nations investigation, suggest just the opposite. Virtually everything Timmons did while working on the lobbying campaign was within days conveyed by Vincent to either one or both of Saddam Hussein's top aides, Tariq Aziz and Nizar Hamdoon. Vincent also testified that he almost always relayed input from the Iraqi aides back to Timmons.
Talking points that Timmons produced for the lobbyists to help ease the sanctions, for example, were reviewed ahead of time by Aziz, Vincent testified in court. Proposals that Timmons himself circulated to U.S. officials as part of the effort were written with the assistance of the Iraqi officials, and were also sent ahead of time with Timmons' approval to Aziz, other records show. Moreover, there was a major financial incentive at play for Timmons. The multi-million dollar oil deal that he was pursuing with the two other lobbyists would only be possible if their efforts to ease sanctions against Iraq were successful.
