I am so proud of my country tonight. Senator Ted Kennedy proved once again that with faith, hope, and tenacity anything is possible. What a wonderful endorsement for Barack from Teddy. We have all prayed and hoped the best for him through these past difficult months. Tonight he roared like the lion he has become. At his eleventh, and perhaps last, presidential convention Senator Kennedy proved his love and loyalty not only to the Democrartic Party, but to the United States of America as well.
And then there was Michelle! What a woman of grace, intelligence and charisma. She spoke like we all do. She thinks like us. She is a mom who puts her family first. How incredible is that in a First Lady. Her brother's words were poignant and sincere. The beautiful narration by their mother during the introductory speech portrayed the love and pride that she feels for her daughter. Michelle seems to truly love and support her husband with all of her heart. Barack made the right choice when he fell in love with her. Their devotion is refreshing and together they are a formidable force.
I am so proud of my country tonight. On the 88th anniversary of Women's Suffrage, Caroline Kennedy spoke from her heart about her enthusiasm for Barack. The divide between the Clinton/Obama supporters seemed to diminish as each amazing woman took the platform and pleaded their case for this once in our lifetime candidate.
Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha are endearing as a family. They will be a First Family to admire, emmulate and respect. We must work harder than ever. We must do it not only for ourselves, our families, and our country; we must do it for Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha too.
Do you wish you could do more, like me? I've been trying to spread the word via the internet. I was sent a great video and an article about it, so I wrote about it in my blog as if it wasn't about Obama, because the people in states who haven't voted yet, many are undecided, so I entitled it by part of the title of the video "Obama vs. Clinton" and maybe more of those undecideds will look at it. In my previous post about the campaign, an undecided from NC replied (I'm assuming others read & didn't reply). So they are out there searching. If you have a blog other than on Obama's site and, especially if you don't have the time to go to other states, special events, or meetings, you might want to post something like this in your blog (feel free to copy): http://uu-mom.livejournal.com/59693.htmlMy previous post with another video which got the response is here: http://uu-mom.livejournal.com/59315.html
Just a suggestion. I hope you're all doing what you can.- Joyce
Never count out the so called underdog!
There is a huge concern about Senator Clinton wanting to change her agreement (or should it be "break") regarding the delegate votes in Florida and Michigan. One has to wonder if the original agreement wasn't made in haste because Senator Obama was thought to be of no threat to her? Was this a cocky move on behalf of Senator Clinton?
Will we have more of these kind of changes to look forward to if she is elected?
Talk to me ~ but keep it real!

Today was the first time that I had ever been canvassing for any political figure! I was so anxious for this opportunity and I wasn't let down. It was so good to knock on the doors of those who already knew who was the best choice for president. There were very few in the Largo area who were not voting for Barack and even fewer who were Republicans.
It was good to see so many people who were just as excited as I was to be pushing for the same cause. I am so excited for Tuesday! Please, if you read this blog, don't forget to "Barack the Vote!"

Last night was absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to see how people take this injection of energy and turn it into something. The fact that the other canidates are talking about change in Washington shows that he has already made a difference. It is up to us to really embrace the opportunity to change or at least look at things differently. I am really excited about the possibilities for Prince Georgians to work together and make our voices heard.
When the weather gets better maybe we can have a walk a thon for Obama.
