This video is from Barack and explains the Bill Ayers issue. It is clear that McCain, Palin and the RNC are planning to paint Ayers as a terrorist and try to link him tightly with Barack. These are the facts. Barack was 8 when Ayers was participating in some deplorable acts during the Vietnam Era which was a time when there were a lot of radical movements and things happening. I am not defending Bill Ayers but this happened during a terrible time in our history and it was 40 years ago.Barack served on a board with Ayers which was appointed by a Republican. There is nothing here but we know they are going to try and make this look bad.On the other hand, McCain voted twice against stopping DOMESTIC TERRORISM. Watch this terrible video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDlpWfLyYssI guess he feels it was okay to BOMB medical clinics and kill doctors and patients! TERRORISM is terrorism and if the McCain camp wants to go there then I think we should bring this up. Just because McCain does not approve of a Women's Right to Choose does not mean it is OKAY to BOMB clinics and KILL doctors and patients. So, does the McCain camp really want to go here? They will and they will get away with it unless We all say ENOUGH and let him know WE know about his votes to stop actual terrorism HERE in the US.Come on Obama supporters. Barack and Joe need our help and full support in these final days! Both of them have the integrity and intelligence to lead us through this Crisis facing all of us. We have the power to stop this nonsense and we have the TRUTH and the FACTS on our side. Let's use them! Thanks,LuAnn in Indiana

Watch this and think if this man could talk to foreign leaders or make rational cool headed decisions. This is so scary. He could blow up and not work with anyone he did not like. OMG he even shoved a woman in the hallway and has called his wife the c word in public!
You have watched how hateful and condescending he has been towards Barack and even the media now. He is out and out lying and will do anything to win.We need this out there viral and let people see the REAL McCain.......not the kind of PRESIDENT we need in this time of crisis!

If Palin gets VP talk about anti American! She is stirring up hate wherever she goes. We have to say Enough!
This is not acceptable!
http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2008/10/07/palins_unamerican/index.html
We don't not need hate and partisanship stirred up. Palin is stirring it and McCain is letting her run free with whatever she wants to say. This country needs to work together to get us out of this mess we are in. Barack is the only one who has the intelligence, knowledge, temperament and vision for that great future.Let's all help Barack and make sure all the slurs and hate stops!
Enough!
These are facts about McCain, his family, his life and all the mistruths that he likes to brag about. Please take the time to watch these and you may be shocked.People everywhere have the right to know these things about John McCain. He is no maverick. He would be a disaster as President. He is strictly out for John McCain and has proven he will say or do anything to get elected. Please help Barack and share these facts. McCain’s campaign is getting nastier.

I want a mature leader for my next President. We’ve had enough of the fighter pilot, shoot from the hip, act on instinct, ask questions later mentality. Look where it’s gotten us: two deadly wars, saber rattling with Russia, North Korea and Iran, incredible financial turmoil not seen since the 1920’s and 30’s.
I’ve looked at several definitions of the word “mature” and they all make reference to words like thoughtful, careful, thorough. This brings to mind a person who thinks before they speak, who considers all sides of a complex question rather than turning an answer into a sound bite. It brings to mind a person who doesn’t make decisions based on instinct or impulse but rather on reason, knowledge, experience and when appropriate, the guidance of experts. Knowing when to seek that guidance is critical to leaders of large organizations or institutions since no one can be an expert in everything.
I know mature people in their twenties and I know immature people in their 80’s. Maturity comes from life experience, reflection on that experience and confidence in one’s ability to solve problems and overcome challenges based on that experience. I also think it comes from self-discipline – setting goals and doing what one needs to do to achieve that goal.
A mature person considers the long view. They understand that today’s decision could have very long-term and unforeseen consequences. They consider not just what is good for them today, but what is good for their family, their neighbors, their children, their unborn grand-children.
A mature person understands human nature and human emotions, human strengths and weaknesses. They see shades and hues not just black and white. They understand the need for checks and balances, for boundaries and independent oversight as our founding fathers did. The writers of The Constitution didn’t foresee the behemoths of Wall Street, but they understood abuse of power – whether by government or by powerful individuals or corporations. A mature person can compromise without sacrificing their principles.
It’s clear to me, based on his actions, his statements and his approach to problem solving, that Barack Obama is the mature leader we need to take our country forward.
I lost my electicity for a little over a day this week - a minor inconvenience compared to the catastrophic damage that was done in Texas and Louisiana by Gustav and Ike, but it gave me some time to think. I thought about what would happen if our financial system unraveled;I thought about what would happen if the American economy unraveled; what would happen if our social security system unraveled; what would happen if our roads, power grid, transportation system and communications systems unraveled and came crashing down like a house of cards. Then I couldn't think about it any more.
We are in a period of change. Whether we want it or not, things are changing. What I CAN think about is who I want leading that change. Do I want someone willing to entertain new ideas, willing to bring fresh, young, idealistic people to Washington, willing to surround himself with people who have different ideas, are willing to challenge him and the status quo? Yes, that's the type of person I want. I don't want someone born in the 1930's who doesn't know how to send an email, doesn't understand the complexities of wall street, and isn't willing to listen to young people. I don't want someone who already has his mind made up in advance about everything.
I want someone willing to consider options and listen to and come up with alternatives, so the BEST solutions are chosen not the solutions that will satisfy his political cronies. I want a leader who inspires trust, confidence and hope. What do you want?
What are you willing to do to get what you want? Are you willing to get involved? Are you willing to let your voice be heard? Talk with your friends and co-workers even if they disagree with you. Your voice and opinions are important and the stakes are too high in this election to keep them to yourself. Give money if you can, time if you can, and if you can't give those send an email, forward an email, write a letter to the editor, take whatever action you can.
Your actions today do make a difference!

You might think the term Theocracy is extreme or inflamatory when used in the context of American government. Here's the brief definition from the Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary:
1 government of a state by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided
George Bush believes he is guided by God and is doing God's will. Hence the need to war against evil, not against particular peoples, governments or factions. That sounds like a theocracy to me.
Based on Sarah Palin's religion (Pentacostal) and her previous statements, I would expect her to also believe that God has bestowed on her the "gift" of wisdom and knowledge. As a leader I expect she does what she believes is "God's will". That sounds like a theocracy to me.
From what I know about John McCain, he's more a rainy day Christian - he'll take shelter under that umbrella when it's convenient. Barack Obama seems to have strong beliefs, but he also seems to respect other people's beliefs and is conscious of the need to serve the greater good.
As an individual, we all follow our "inner guidance" whether we call it God, Conscience, society's rules or "Clyde". However, when we are in positions of leadership, positions where we are making decisions that affect other people's lives, we must be extremely careful that we not impose our personal beliefs on others. That's why we have laws - rules that we as a society agree are for the greater good, not our personal good. That's why we have regulations, rules, standards; that's why we pursue scientific inquiry, that's why we challenge our leaders and ask tough questions. Our leaders MUST NOT forget that they are servants of the people of our society - ALL the people. If they want to be servants of their God - they can become religious or spiritual leaders and people can choose whether to follow their guidance or not. In a democracy, our leaders must serve and represent not just the people who voted for them, but also the people who did not vote for them.
I've been very disappointed at the mainstream media at their inability to identify a lie and call a lie a lie. The "bridge to nowhere" discussion goes on and on. The republicans continue to tout is as evidence of Palin's success at reform. The fact is, yes the bridge didn't get built, but Palin and Alaska kept the money anyway! They DID NOT give the money back, they just diverted it to another pork project. What happened to America's ability to call out someone who is telling a blatant lie? I don't care if someone is a man or a woman, black or white, rich or poor, from Alaska or Florida. If they seek to intentionally deceive the people of America someone needs to stand up an call them out!
In case you're wondering, here's the definition of a "lie" according to Merriam-Webster's online dictionary:
1 : to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive
2 : to create a false or misleading impression
The "bridge to nowhere" story as the Republicans tell it is clearly a lie and we need to stop pretending it is a bedtime story.
I am not sure if you got to see Barack on the Letterman show last night but he was fantastic.

I just posted this video on the DIGG site and really would appreciate you going there and digging it.
I took a swipe at McCain and how his VP pick was strictly a political move and how Barack vetted Joe and made "HIS OWN DECISION".
If we can get enough Diggs on it it will possibly be in the top 10 of the day and everyone will see it.
It would be super exposure for Barack as he commented on the stupid "lipstick on a pig" controversy and made some other great comments on several things. He showed both Humor and also made some great POLITICAL points!
Please take a minute, watch the video and PLEASE go to DIGG.com and digg it. The Republicans have been burrying some of our good stories on the DIGG site so PLEASE help!

Who would you like to run the most powerful country in the world?
A graduate of Harvard law school or a graduate of the Naval academy who finished 8th from the bottom of his class?
A graduate of Columbia University or the "rule breaking" son of an admiral?
Someone who got into college on his academic performance and paid for college with scholarships or someone who got in because his dad was an admiral?
Who would you rather make the decision to send your child to war? The son of an admiral who married an heiress or the son of working mother who has worked hard, made his own way, earned every penny he has and values the lives of the children of this country.
Let's look at the VP's:
Biden attended the University of Delaware in Newark,[10] where he graduated with a double major in history and political science in 1965.[3] He went on to receive his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1968, and was admitted to the Delaware Bar in 1969.
Palin spent her first college semester at Hawaii Pacific College, transferring in 1983 to North Idaho College and then to the University of Idaho. She attended Matanuska-Susitna College in Alaska for one term, returning to the University of Idaho to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism, graduating in 1987.

If you're like me, you don't come into frequent contact with people you might think of as community organizers. To remind you of some community organizers from history, here are a few names to jog your memory:
Samuel Adams Benjamin Franklin Thomas Payne Susan B. Anthony Ida Wells Martin Luther King Joan Baez Harriet Tubman Cesar Chavez Chief Joseph
Nelson Mandela
Desmond Tutu
Mohandas Gandhi
One of the patterns I've started to notice is the disconnect between what Republicans say they support and what their actions indicate. Here's some more evidence.

There is only one candidate that will work to protect our environment and transition us away from our oil based economy.
Is the environment important to you? Is creation of reliable alternative energy sources important to you?

TIME MAGAZINE:Angry AmateursPosted by Joe Klein | Comments (383) | Permalink | Trackbacks (0) | Email This The story of the day out here in Minneapolis is the McCain campaign's war against the press. This has been building for some time. Those of us who have criticized the candidate--and especially those of us who enjoyed good relations with McCain in the past--have been subject to off-the-record browbeating and attempted bullying all year. But things have gotten much worse in recent days: there was McCain's rude, bizarre interview with Time Magazine last week. Yesterday, McCain refused to an interview with Larry King, for God's sake, because Campbell Brown had been caught in the commission of journalism on CNN the night before, asking McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds what decisions Sarah Palin had made as commander-in-chief of the Alaska national guard. (There was an answer that the unprepared Bounds didn't have: she had deployed them to fight fires.)So what's going on here? Two things. McCain is just plain angry at us. By the evidence presented in the utterly revealing Time interview, he's ballistic. This is a politician who needs to see himself as the man on the white horse, boldly traversing a muddy field...any intimations that he's gotten muddied in the process, or has decided to throw mud, are intolerable. The second thing is more insidious: Steve Schmidt has decided, for tactical reasons, to slime the press. He wants the public to believe that there is an unfair--sexist (you gotta love it)--personal assault going on against Palin and her family. This is a smokescreen, intended to divert attention from the very real and responsible vetting that is taking place in the media--about the substance of Palin's record as mayor and governor. Sure, there are a few outliers--and the tabloid press--who have fixed on baby stories. That was inevitable....the flip side of the personal stories that the McCain team thought would work to their advantage--Palin's moose-hunting and wolf-shooting, and her admirable decision to have a Down Syndrome baby. And yes, when we all fix on the same story, whether it's a hurricane or a little-known politician, a zoo ensues. But the media coverage of the Palin story has been well within the bounds of responsibility. Schmidt is trying to make it seem otherwise, a desperate tactic.
