I've said it before and Rachel Maddow also says it.... McCain and Palin are very close to calling Obama communist!!
Last night Rachel Maddow made a segment on how McCain/Palin are using subtle ways to scare people into believing that Obama is a communist, see the segment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDZ5tsJcVmg
In my previous blog about "Guilt by Association", I wrote that this all reminds me of the movie "Good night, and Good Luck", where it shows the McCarthy era when you were called communist just by even talking to someone who is also considered communist.
The McCain campaign is getting so desperate that they have resorted to calling out Obama's association with Bill Ayers, calling his tax policy a "socialist" policy, and getting Fox news to compare him to Hitler (see Fox Attacks Obama on YouTube).
All this worries me because of the people that McCain/Palin are targeting in their use of Robocalling. Robocalling is the use of automated machines calling "random" phone numbers and using the recordings of the candidates (ever see the Simpsons episode on the autodialer?).
The main target will be people who may not have internet access or cable access and have no other means of getting facts; they may only get information from public television and radio, and of course through robocalling. They will be hearing first hand from McCain and Palin that Obama is a socialist "like his European friends". Then they are also people (like me) who watch Fox on a regular basis and we all know that Fox highly dislikes democrats.
We are people who are technologically saavy, all of us who are on this huge social networks like Facebook or MySpace. We may be getting information, news, and communications so fast that we forget that there are still people who don't have our means of communication.
I finally reached a break through with my own father who was going to vote for McCain. My father doesn't use the internet and he only watches spanish television. So every time I heard news, good or bad, about the candidates, I would tell him. I gave him facts and he suddenly started to realize that McCain is not the right choice for him. That is my little victory, but in a way, it's huge. My father also works with other ESL co-workers who are registered to vote and I have no doubt that he will tell them why he is voting for Obama.
So it's important for each of us reading this blog right now to communicate to those who may not use the internet often, like our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and make sure they get the facts. Otherwise they will get late night calls like this one, Auto dialer by the Simpsons, and they will vote for the voice they hear more often.
We also need to be the voice of change, don't leave it only up to Obama!
And then the white haired man struts to the podium. You are wise with your years and obvious that you are indeed with the good will of the people. I firmly beleive that the operation of this nation lays with the ability and respect that lies with our friends. Much of what we do abroad is what we so very feel beneath our rooftops. As a traveler and a former expat, I crave the the moment we once again we have respect of our fellows over seas. Economic policy and the fundamentals for change are a pre-requisite for such an administraion. I find that in YOU. For the first time of my adult life I have felt the pinch of such financial restraints and minimal possibilities. IS this what we are suppose to be? Companies.....blue collar hard-working mills, plants, farms, and distrubution centers are shutting down in the smallest of towns, with the most reliability for financial success for the midddle american family, the lower middle american family. Sent over seas to give those benefits to those people that feel ill among us(not their fault)No ands ifs or buts about it. People need help, not charity, just support from the nation that stands for such things and pleasantries. Although we are where we are and are not as in need as other places......let it soon become the nation that it once was that has stood on the very stilts that built this nation, the common man. Let us not forget that little guy. Thank you white haired man!

I am the only donor so far and would like to achieve my personal goal of getting 10 new donors... any amount counts...
I am really quite happy with Obama's trip outside the country so far. Any thoughts?
I understand how tasteless this cover is and to me it is perfect. I hope it provokes the type of incidental teaching we need for those still twisted in smear madness...
love until it hurts
it has been a while Obama folks, hope to hear from some of you soon

OBAMA ROBBED IN NY
February 16, 2008 -- Barack Obama's primary-night results were strikingly under recorded in several congressional districts around the city - in some cases leaving him with zero votes when, in fact, he had pulled in hundreds, the Board of Elections said today.
so what. right?
well, after interfacing with well over a hundred people in New Mexico today, I would say the vote count for the registered democrats there from my personal tally was 40% Obama 30% Hillary 25% undecided 5% McCain. Of those undecided- 10 percent leaning towards hillary-- 20% toward Obama and every one but one undecided was definately turned on by my Obama speech-- I went way off script with the last undecided woman I spoke with (20 minute converse) and we spoke about the deeper issues of this movement-- The new frontier reality that I put in prosey poetics earlier. I hope she shares what we talked about with her fellow teachers on Monday-- that in itself payed for my hours there. She was my last call of the night and I must say it was inspirational.
It is also interesting to me that this dream world I have is so supraconscious-- see last blog-- so what... right?
It makes it so fucking real as well.
Of note--
I called 60 or so people in Zuni-- almost all were Native Americans. 75% of there phones were disconnected. I think I had some of the wyrdest but coolest conversations with these people. I am cherokee/french/german. There are many prophecies concerning the year 2012 that are shared between the Native Peoples in the southwest. I actually got to talk about these with some of those people. It was like "lightning striking in a clear blue sky."
Some people are swayed by Bill Richardson's making nice at the New Hampshire debate and hence lean towards Hillary. I wonder what that was about-- too many favors???
And everyone is waiting for Edwards to give them the go ahead to vote for Obama-- isn't it obvious he is in Obama's camp? I told those people, "couldn't you see him as a member of Obama's cabinet-- said the same to a Kucinich supporter as well. Seriously, those three candidates (Kucinich, Edwards, Richardson) all seem to be integral agents in this movement-- they are on the same team don't you think?
I am sure this will make more sense tomorrow after my mind is able to process it with sleep. What a day. I want to do it again-- is that wrong?
;)
lol
any objections?
ahh fathers
Mine and I were fishing in the southwest. (???) I felt New Mexican. A kingfisher with a yellow head was eating bait from my hand. He was twice as big as midwestern King's and had hold of my finger as well as the fish so I clamped down on the beak. His bite was strong like the pressure on my finger since I knocked it with the hammer last night. I liked it. I was giving a thorough report to my father, "Do you know the name of this bird? I am guessing that he's a Kingfisher. The beak's the same. The blue and orange belly... Kingfisher. He's biting the crap out of my hand," I laughed, "amazing eye contact."The little flatboat I was in scooted a bit as I shook my arm to keep the bite tolerable enough to enjoy the wonder. I kept looking at my dad and wondering what he was doing here in the scars of red granite, fire agate, and rhodochrosite. I was dreaming a dark, colorful dream, surrendering to something, exploring...
The dry stones were warm and quiet. The sky was an electric web of purples and orange. I stepped from the sand bottom to the stone, stretching over clear astute reflections. As the stones' metamorphosis reversed into the sky, wind and trees replaced the crags and cliffs. Lightning returned the gems to their veins. Sound built and roared as only the dervish' bare bones knows resplendent-- when body has become crispy and crackles into smoke spun open. Like bonfire celebrates with its builders, the mountains and trees became one song...
All suddenly became coherent, pacific, still. All stopped and the sky went white as a blue summer day. We were in the sun and alll the begun again came forward. All the borrowers.. all the place in time bodies from before came through. They strode in skins, and hats. With laughter and smiles but made no sound. "There it is. That's it! We are really here... all of us. This is what bestirs the 2012's: the 2013!" Walking within transparent seams, bodies whose opaque release becomes handsome in the awoken realm. Their place of passim, transitory here and there, unfettered, free. This is what you are telling them, "it is for all to see."
We are ready.
So, we have gone global economically-- now is the time to reign in the wild EXCURSION that hurts others and begin to heal it, fix it, and hold ourselves accountable for such rapid horizontal growth. Consciousness as well as growth-- must-- I repeat -- must -- be spread horizontally as well as vertically. We must look up, look down, and remember our prayers, those that prayed before us and will after. The mystery is smiling upon this movement again.
lets take this thought to the new frontier:
what if we went global
migrating the parable of organics and
cool
water
into the dough of dollars
the hoe digging in the earth
of other
cultures
this youth movement
of children born of men.
We take our recycled american change,
press the copper into solar captured energy;
a community of windows,
an honest birth in plastic development
like we have done,
but over here we are over there.
NO, not in YOObicles or twisted high heeled ropes.
(Though sexy) It is filled
with moss.
The red hairs dripping in two
stand in gourds' dew,
nude,
as white sweet corn
or mixed
poetess diving a mudbankedin waterdrum river.
What's there we are?
So lets take this thought right over there
to this new frontier:
cool water following the flood of ourselves' new course
a peace
aninnovationcommunity
where you stop and give away a vegan stew
to taste the tomato sandwich basil and cheese before
we share
like buffalo gave themselves almost completely away...
how civilized a rutted road will feel;
deep puddles round your feet in this threshold letting go.
There was a time when we forgot our lines to heart our ears and
remember other's.
When will we believe again
the debate tonight was quite good
and the debate on cnn.com was also very important
this is telling-- oh how wisdom has spread-- and this is the new frontier-- right here right now-- this is the place-- we are the organizing tool-- we are the educating tool -- this web of consciousness will help, and we will shake hands soon.
I think we are seeing transformation today right here in Tiffany's voice. CNN is placing a plant in peoples heads-- "Race vs. Gender"
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/21/emails.race.gender/index.html
An e-mailer named Tiffany responded sarcastically: "Duh, I'm a black woman and here I am at the voting booth. Duh, since I'm illiterate I'll pull down the lever for someone. Hm... Well, he black so I may vote for him... oh wait she a woman I may vote for her... What Ise gon' do? Oh lordy!"
Tiffany urged CNN to "pull this racist crap off" the Web site and to stop calling Hillary the "top female candidate."
"Stop calling Barack the "Black" candidate," she wrote.
the Goldstein Doublespeak machine is getting dismantled one part at a time. We can complete this job.
Barack spoke today at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
You can read his full remarks here, but I want to bring to light a particular passages, reproduced below.
For most of this country’s history, we in the African-American community have been at the receiving end of man’s inhumanity to man. And all of us understand intimately the insidious role that race still sometimes plays – on the job, in the schools, in our health care system, and in our criminal justice system.
And yet, if we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that none of our hands are entirely clean. If we’re honest with ourselves, we’ll acknowledge that our own community has not always been true to King’s vision of a beloved community.
We have scorned our gay brothers and sisters instead of embracing them. The scourge of anti-Semitism has, at times, revealed itself in our community. For too long, some of us have seen immigrants as competitors for jobs instead of companions in the fight for opportunity.
Senator Obama has been out front about these issues throughout his campaign and his career. He has spoken before all audiences and delivered the same messages of expanding rights and taking our own to task when need be. I strongly encourage everyone to read the entire speech.
after the deliverance of fact 11/07/2000. The year I turned thirty. The first blatant insider's coup clearly demonstrated to us on television. After watching the newsmen n women turn ghostly white as their souls were sucked clean if for just a moment that has nearly lasted eight years. I have become
an addict
to the details
of language.
I despise the word unprecedented
for life
its the only word that really makes me physically ill because it in itself is a blatant lie.
but I digress.
Watching talker's doublespeak in rouge turned cheeks and eye's squint in the human face telling lies.
I listened to the Cheneys and Rummys, Musharafs and Baghdad Bobs. I remember the shrug of Musharaf's shoulders after 911. I remember the first early report of a plane being shot down over Pennsylvania and the stories daring and rapid change. Reality became a fiction of catastrophe. It all ceased to be wyrd or amazing. I remember the republican convention, "sitting inside the drone of droidlike eyes," listening to the power of division these "flat worlders," were using to conquer consciousness simultaneously erasing the music of children's feet on the floor, streets, or dirt. It has not been the "flat worlders," time but rather the dull hued "flat screener's" time.
Reptilian Gobble
An evening in the devil's den
the poet scribbled silently,
haunted by the gaggle of droning droidlike eyes
lifting penants and even their arms to the fatherland fuhrer,
"all hail the homeland"
the poet's hand was tense but sure, you could hear the revolt,
the ancient roots of the old harmonic name of his country, "America,"
as pen left paper
shaded
in
the light of these lines:
"I have seen the fear in the sandy cheynes of reptilian gobble
consuming
rock steady
as our leader helped us swallow
the long cherished belief in catastrophy
again
recreated
for us in a rented angular prism
slanted sideways down the throat like the strangers experiment done in
Aushwitz
to help you look a away
while lamps were shoved between fingernails
and stretched
to shade
the true horror of the theft of conscience
let the tears take away the flesh of my son n daughters bright eyed pity on me
seeing my ignorance
my lifeless taunted body of booze and dollars
I don't need them anyhow
I have Pat Robertson lord
and a bit of horn growing from my temple lobe
headbutting reality I will let this grow
as a symbol of my patriotic denial
a principled
gesture towards my reptilian grade
I will surround the hungry with a laughter that proves them disgusting and cage them when they would amuse my lust for ridicule
I will placate even the darkest hour its obedience as I must to face those who dern't gainst me
And I will savor till I am the oilyslick I pretend you are
my audience
and I wave
and thank you for your service to me tonight."
Myth America
http://forums.delphiforums.com/33healer1/start
In reality it has been a mythic time. After watching the debate last night I wondered, "are we digging ourselves from under the rubble?" How many souls crave their release through our movement?
I am amazed-- absolutely amazed by the power of this radical movement-- it is a new silence -- I do believe-- an adult revolution.
and its fun-- woot
Anyone read Ken Wilber's Boomeritas-- if not, please do-- I need someone to discuss it with.
The silence...
we are here-- in it. Its like waking up on vacation, feeling a little bit safer and at peace with the world, knowing there are so many others ready to walk arm in arm, swimming in each other's bright eyed glance. A gift.
work again tomorrow-- where still many are having trouble with the koolaide and addiction to fear
let the sohbet (sacred conversation) continue
Senator Obama sat down recently with Kerry Eleveld of the Advocate, one of the most respected and widely-circulated LGBT publications in the country. The full text of the interview can be found here.

Hello Loganites and Chicagoans,
Quick question; anyone in town this weekend for Taste of Chicago? If so why not attend Sat or Sunday's Event. The details are on your my events page. Plenty of stuff going on. Should be a fantastic weekend. Get out. Get some sun, bring your friends and enjoy making new ones as you support and take it to the streets.
Cheers,
