Now this is very urgent! Let me tell you why: I just watched an hour long documentary by Sean Hannity on his Hannity's America show sliming Barack Obama so much it would make you vomit. The "sources" he used weren't even credible authors, but if you watched that doucmentary and had no other point of view, you wouldn't vote Obama.
So let's get the word out NOW about John McCain. Forward this link now to your friends.
Mc Cain and Obama on immigration reform. Whole story at http://www.mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/42577.html
"Obama, too, spoke first of a need for border security, along with establishing penalties for employers who exploit illegal immigrants and establishing a way to bring "the 12 million who are here illegally out of the shadows ... and put them on a pathway to citizenship."
The two campaigns sparred over the details after the speeches: McCain's camp accused Obama of voting for "poison pill" amendments designed to kill the immigration deal; Obama's camp noted that McCain had thanked Obama in 2006 for his work on immigration reform.
Recent polls show Obama with an edge over McCain among Hispanic voters, though he performed poorly in some Hispanic quarters against Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. Obama and Clinton met Thursday night with about 40 of Clinton's top Hispanic advisers, just hours after Clinton urged a NALEO crowd to embrace Obama's candidacy. The response Saturday was boisterous, with the audience chanting his name as he took the stage.
But Republicans have made gains among Hispanics in recent election cycles, and McCain's presence at the conference impressed several in the crowd. He and most of his GOP rivals had skipped NALEO's conference during the primaries.
"McCain had the guts to show up," said Esteban Ferreiro of Miami, a Republican and NALEO member who said the "Republican perception" of the group is that it leans Democratic. "He's saying, 'I'm here, this is who I am and I know your vote is important.'"
"A new Gallup Poll summary of surveys taken in May shows Obama winning 62% of Latino registered voters nationwide, compared with just 29% for McCain. Others have found a wide gap as well. The pro-Democratic group Democracy Corps compiled surveys from March through May that showed Obama with a 19-point lead among Latinos. And a Times poll published last month showed Obama leading McCain among California Latinos by 14 points.Republicans say McCain's numbers among Latinos at the moment are disappointing -- far below the goals set by a campaign that has long believed McCain could challenge the traditional Democratic dominance of the Latino electorate. The numbers suggest that McCain's image has suffered after a competitive GOP primary in which he renounced some of the moderate views on immigration popular among many Latinos. For example, McCain, who was a chief sponsor of legislation creating a path to citizenship for most of the nation's estimated 12 million illegal immigrants, now says he believes the government must focus first on securing the U.S.-Mexico border before dealing with illegal workers."

Jan 2008. Hillary thinking,"Why not just crown me now! This no-name has no-chance."
UNDERSTANDING WHY HILLARY AND HER PEOPLE ARE INSANE WITH ANGER
Let's think of this Primary campaign as a one mile road race. In the beginning, Barack is at the starting line. Hillary though walks up a half mile ahead before the starter pistol goes off. Yes, that is how far Hillary was ahead of Barack with her "name recognition".
In states where they were not allowed to campaign like FL, Hillary trounced the unknown Barack Obama. But through the hard work of Obama's grass root workers, and his magnificant personal appearances, Barack was able to run past Hillary, and is now nearing the finish line.
Hillary's supporters, with that huge headstart had been guaranteed a win. It should have been a slam dunk. Being in such a position and then losing must be devastating beyond belief, and extremely painful to experience the worst choke in Political history.
Hillary's supporters are destroyed emotionally and cannot join one-on-one with us Obama supporters today. So I believe Barack himself is going to have to offer the healing hand to Hillary's supporters. We alone cannot do it. If she is a loyal Democrat Hillary could get her supporters to help Barack vs McCain.

Obama has developed a clear lead compared to last month, when he and Clinton were about even in the Pew Research Center poll. Three in 10 Democrats think the party will be divided if Obama wins the nomination, up slightly since March, with Clinton supporters twice as likely as Obama's to say so. When matched against Republican John McCain, Obama is now running about even among all voters; he's had a narrow advantage over McCain most of the year. Obama and McCain are about evenly splitting independents, a pivotal group for the general election. Both men are viewed less positively than earlier. Obama is seen as better able to improve the economy and energy problems, he and McCain are seen as about equally likely to make wise decisions on Iraq, and McCain has an advantage for taxes and immigration.
The Pew Research Center poll was conducted from May 21-25 and involved telephone interviews with 1,242 registered voters, for whom the margin of sampling error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points. It included interviews with 618 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters, with a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.5 points.COMPLETE RESULTS: http://people-press.org

Scott McClellan with the President
1. By Michael D. Shear, Wash Post May 28, 2008.
President Bush's Ex-Press Aide Scott McClellan delivers a harsh look at the White House in his book, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception".
In the chapter, Selling the War,"the administration repeatedly shaded the truth, and Bush managed the crisis in a way that almost guaranteed that the use of force would become the only feasible option." "Over that summer of 2002 top Bush aides had outlined a strategy for carefully orchestrating the coming campaign to aggressively sell the war. It was all about manipulating sources of public opinion to the president's advantage."
McClellan comes to a stark conclusion,"What I do know is that war should only be waged when necessary, and the Iraq war was not necessary." McClellan resigned from the White House on April 19, 2006, after nearly three years as Bush's press secretary.
In his book, McClellan describes Bush as able to convince himself of his own spin. And "Bush was a willing participant in treating his presidency as a permanent political campaign, run by his top political adviser, Karl Rove."
"The president had promised himself that he would accomplish what his father had failed to do by winning a second term in office," he writes. "And that meant operating continually in campaign mode: never explaining, never apologizing, never retreating. Unfortunately, that strategy also had repercussions: never reflecting, never reconsidering, never compromising. Especially not where Iraq was concerned."
2. Rove Hits Back At McClellan: 'Sounds Like A Left-Wing Blogger'. Also, Perino, Bartlett, Fleischer Pile On.
Karl Rove responded to the charges (in Scott McClellan's book) last night on Faux News "Hannity and Colmes".
Rove made the case that the old Scott McClellan had been bodysnatched by some alien being with an ethical compass. "... Not the Scott McClellan I have known for a long time...sounds like somebody else, it sounds like a left-wing blogger."
3. Dana Perino mimics the Rove line. From The Swamp: "It is sad - this is not the Scott we knew."
4. And former White House counsel Dan Bartlett raged at McClellan. "It's almost like we're witnessing an out-of-body experience," Bartlett said of McClellan. "We're hearing from a completely different person."
Bartlett added that "those close to the President feel McClellan has violated his trust". [Now we are getting to the truth; Let's all target Scott McClellan, that whistle blower.]
White House officials are all advancing a similar "This is not the Scott McClellan I know" line of defense, attacking his mental stability. And of course we can't take Scott seriously now that he's certifiable (nuts).
Guess ol' Karl's coordinating one last bit of White House spin for auld lang syne.
Hmmm, who's the real liar?

Cecil Benjamin, head of the VI Democratic Party said two superdelegates from here are inClinton's camp. The other one not named is Delegate to Congress, Donna Christensen. Benjamin said the majority of the VI voted for Obama--in fact 89.6% voted for Obama.
From the AP:
USVI delegate backs Clinton _ again May 28, 2008 - 8:09pm By DANICA COTO Associated Press Writer SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -
He's for Hillary Clinton. No, he's for Barack Obama. Wait, Kevin Rodriquez really is for Clinton. Whichever candidate the U.S. Virgin Islands superdelegate really supports in this tight race for the Democratic presidential nomination, he has become the first Obama superdelegate to switch allegiance. At least 13 have gone the other way. Rodriquez committed to Clinton on March 10. Two months later, he changed his mind, saying Obama brought a new energy and generation to the democratic process.
This week, he announced his support for Clinton again. "I decided to switch because that's my right," he told The Associated Press on Wednesday. "I don't want to say why I decided. It's not about me ... It's about America and what's best for America."
The chairman of the U.S. Virgin Islands' Democratic party offered a different reason. "At this desperate crunch time, anything should be expected, especially when political persuasions, promises and offers are made," said Cecil Benjamin, adding that he had no proof that Rodriquez was being pressured to change his vote. "I'm disappointed," he said. "I believe that we must stand by our convictions." Benjamin said a superdelegate's vote should reflect the opinion of those they represent. The majority of Rodriquez's constituents are Obama supporters, he said. The Illinois senator is popular in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he won all three pledged delegates at caucuses in February. Six superdelegates will go to the party's national convention in August. As of Wednesday, four backed Clinton and two favored Obama. Asked whether he might switch allegiances again, Rodriquez replied: "I don't know."

http://www.gallup.com/poll/107407/Obama-Surge-Fairly-BroadBased.aspx#1
PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Poll Daily tracking has documented a surge in Democratic voters' support for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton in recent days, swelling from a four percentage-point lead for Obama during the first part of May to a record 16-point lead for him in polling from May 16-18.
Prior to now, Obama's largest lead over Clinton was 11 percentage points, achieved briefly in mid-April. However, for most of the past month, Clinton and Obama have been fairly closely matched, with neither sustaining a significant lead for more than a few days. It thus remains to be seen whether this improvement in Obama's standing is a variation of the same pattern, or represents a turning point in the race.
Obama Swamps Clinton Among Young Voters and Others
The broadening of Obama's appeal for the nomination seen in Gallup's May 16-18 polling is fairly widespread, with the percentage favoring him increasing among most demographic categories of Democratic voters. However, as a result, certain groups that were already highly supportive of Obama for the nomination -- men, 18- to 29-year-olds, postgrads, and upper-income Democrats -- are now overwhelmingly in his camp. Obama is currently favored among these groups by a 2-to-1 margin, or better, over Clinton.
At the same time, support for Clinton among some of her traditionally stalwart support groups -- women, Easterners, whites, adults with no college education, and Hispanics -- has fallen below 50%.
The only major demographic group still supporting Clinton to the tune of 51% or more is women aged 50 and older. This group's preferences have changed little during May, at the same time that Clinton's support among younger men (those 18 to 49) has declined by nearly 10 points.
Bottom Line
After nearly 20 grueling weeks on the campaign trail since he shook up the Democratic primary race by winning the Iowa caucuses, Obama has finally stretched his lead over his chief rival into the teens.
Having previously captured nearly the maximum level of support from black voters, Obama's latest gains have come from a broad spectrum of rank-and-file Democrats. At least for now, he has expanded his position as the preferred candidate of men, young adults, and highly educated Democrats, and has erased Clinton's advantages with most of her prior core constituency groups, including women, the less well-educated, and whites.
Survey Methods
For the Gallup Poll Daily tracking survey, Gallup is interviewing no fewer than 1,000 U.S. adults nationwide each day during 2008.
The Democratic nomination results for May 1-13, 2008, are based on interviews with 5,474 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters. The maximum margin of sampling error for samples of this size is ±1 percentage point.
The Democratic nomination results for May 16-18, 2008, are based on interviews with 1,261 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters. The maximum margin of sampling error for samples of this size is ±3 percentage points.
Interviews are conducted with respondents on land-line telephones (for respondents with a land-line telephone) and cellular phones (for respondents who are cell-phone only).
In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.
