Subject says it all. I've contributed $834 or so dollars so far this campain, largely on the back of that preset contribution. Of course, I was contributing to the guy who taught the Constitution and would protect the Constitution and the rule of law. Someone let me know if that guy ever shows back up.
Good luck making $50 mil in july.
This is hilarious. This is an article about the hometown of the Obama Girl, Amber Lee Ettinger. I love the part where a woman is called out on saying that Obama a Muslim. Lovely. Or the guy that calls Obama "colored" and then states that he is not prejudiced. Hilarious.

Hi Guys, as admin of this group, I have been very limited in my postings. I'm so happy a lot of people have put their thoughts and wishes here.
Here are the lyrics of a song I wrote. Dedicated to the idea that we are all in this together. Let's stop hurting each other for advantage. You can hear the first (non-master) take on
http://www.myspace.com/i8emallup2
Here are the full lyrics.
Breathe Easy
Walkin down the street, everybody lookin at their feet, wouldnt it be neat if we could be something thats sweet.
Look into someone's eyes, you wont see any lies, and what a nice surprise How quickly friendships can arise
A happy look is free, and its the way we want to be, If others get to see they send their love right back to thee
We Come from the Same place, so show a friendly face, It Just might keep the human race together and alive.
Breathe Easy, These are All Our People.
Believers and The Athiests agree, were born with ears to hear and eyes to see
Muslims, Jews and Christians they all know, We live until we die and then its time for us to go.
While were alive, if we give some love, we make some joy on earth, and maybe up above.
Breathe easy, these are all our people.

You may have noticed an influx of posters giving us their story of having "supported Obama for a while now" but "turned off by"
CIRCLE ONE OR MORE: muslim, whining, lying, Race card.
Rejoice for them. The word has gone out among the Clintonistas, whispered like a prayer, furtively passed from one to the next, the Good News spreads: "Obama's site doesn't censor your posts!" Drawn by the light of freedom, they flock here like moths.
But the programming they have endured before coming here is very very strong. Poor things have been fed nothing but BS and Kool-aid for quite some time. The first few posts are bound to be pretty sick as they purge the poison from their politics. Like all God's children, they only seek freedom.
I've found it's very refreshing to them if I take a personal interest in their efforts, and "sponsor" them their first few days. If you have the means, offer to contribute to Obama's campaign for every blog post they write. Something small, like $5/post, $1/comment may give them just the motivation they need to stick around, who knows, maybe they'll heal that much faster. If you can't afford to sponsor them at least send them a smile, pat them on the head and tell them to "keep coming back. It'll get better."
This is a big tent, people. Sometimes folks will wander in, clearly confused and covered in mud. Yes, they are frightening. But these may be the "least of my children" we are called on to serve. Let's all stand up and give them a hand!!!!
I think it's funny that candidates campaigning that they know "how it works" are going after Barack about his "Present" votes. Here is the deal, and how this FURTHER shows Barack's principled stand on good government, and his deep commitment to good government above good politics.
Barack voted present 130 times among 4000+ votes. As he pointed out in the debate, the bill Hillary brought up on sex offenders is one HE SPONSORED. Well, WHY would he do that? WHY would you sponsor a bill and not vote for it? Is Barack a flip-flopper? NO. He believed the law was unconstitutional. The argument that "it hasn't been struck down yet" just exposes an "anything goes" attitude to politics and government.
WHY does it matter that Barack withheld support from a bill he sponsored, but when it came up for a vote believed to be unconstitutional? Because bills don't get struck down "just because." They get struck down when someone is convicted of the crime and challenges the constitutionality of the bill. WHAT happens if the bill is unconstitutional? The offender, who was convicted of the crime by a jury of his peers, and perhaps even had an appeal on the merits of his conviction turned down, IS SET FREE because the lawmakers didn't take the time to make sure they got it right.
His campaign summed it up perfectly. Barack "doesn't vote for a bad law because it's good politics."
Principles, people. Principles.
Watching the NFC championship game, and Donald Driver just got a great 90-yard touchdown catch. Watch closely. DD is no young buck. The defense has a good line at him. But he does what we hear sometimes as a cliche: he "finds another gear." He sees the goal line and finds a way to get past the obstacles.
This is what we need to do in this campaign. Especially with Mr. Obama's beautiful, stirring speech today.
Find another gear.
One of the "arguments" being used by the people attempting to shut down the at-large caucuses in Nevada is that it's unfair that the strip workers are catered to, while other groups are not. True, they had their chance to voice these concerns BEFORE taking it to court, but our campaign is about compromise and inclusion.
So I would like to share an idea from "Corrinna" on another blog: A universally-inconvenient time be selected for the Nevada Caucus, such as, say 3:30 AM on Monday morning. I for one wholeheartedly support this idea! Which slogan do you think will work better:
"Get Up at Three for Hillary"or"Barack and Roll All Night!"
I rest my case.
Sure, a victory tonight in New Hampshire, especially a convincing cross-spectrum "pounding" like Iowa would have been nice. At that point, the MSM would have broken out the robe and crown. There was plenty of talk here about cabinet posts, and indeed even the Colin Powell "non-dorsement" was made out in the press as a detente by the General for an encore as Sec. of State. I myself was suggesting an Atty. General post for Edwards and magnanimously suggesting we find a place in the cabinet for Hillary to "wonk out." I now have to eat those words, and it reminds me of the bitter taste of the 2000 and the 2004 elections, where I knew afterward that I didn't give everything to beating Bush. To my credit, it's hard to give your all to a negative cause like that. I have a cause I believe in this year.
It will be a fight, just like all worthy goals are. We can be extremely proud of our close showing in NH. The credit goes to our volunteers there faced with ClinCorp, who have been organized in these early primary states for decades. The rest of us, maybe we relaxed a little bit. The mantle of "front-runner" wore a little easy on us. I know I haven't phone-banked this week, although I did several times for Iowa. I haven't contributed money since Iowa. If we'd won tonight, the temptation to coast could have grown even stronger, and the possibility of a Super Tuesday Suprise could have lost everything. Remember the fate of the Hare in his race with the Tortoise.
No, my friends, this is the best possible outcome for the Obama campaign. We will struggle on the ground, on the stump and on the airwaves. We will win the nomination only by the sweat and effort of every one of our movement. We will hone our organization and our campaign and we will win in Nevada and SC, win on Super Tuesday, win in November and make this country whole again.
Yes We Can.
Naturally Seven's remix of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" is pretty impressive. The unproduced version they performed in the Paris Metro captures a lot of the spirit of the campaign.
If you agree, post this same link into your blog.
All the candidates are on one stage right now chatting and backslapping. I'd love to know what's being said on that stage. Some of the body language is pretty clear, like Richardson realizing he's been stuck chatting with Ron Paul. But I'd love to know what McCain said to Barack, or Guiliani and Clinton:
G: So, how's the no-longer-a-frontrunner going?H: It's taking some getting used to. But I'll come back.G: Oh, I hope so. Even I could beat you in the general!
It actually is pretty cool to see. Let's hope they work well together in the Obama administration.
Daily Kos has a poll put up today at 9:42 AM. Make sure to go there today and vote for Obama! It’s still early…Obama’s now in second place at 26% behind Edwards at 35% Let’s change these numbers to reflect the grassroots support we are seeing moving in his direction.

I don’t know why I didn’t hear about it from David Plouffe first, but it is great.

The documents subsequently linked below should be redistributed to any Obama Supporter you know. The documents are the official rules for delegate selection and petitioning in New York State. This is vital to getting our favorite on the ticket for the primary race.
“The Guide to Becoming a Delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention is at
http://www.geocities.com/wnymathguy/GuideToDelegate08DNC.pdf
“Overview of Becoming a Delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention is at
and “A Fact Sheet about the 2008 Delegate Selection Plan” is at
http://www.geocities.com/wnymathguy/2008delegateFactSheet.pdf
I noticed this final version of the rules isn’t so long and lawyerly as the proposal was.
Enjoy and good luck to you.

If you are not a New York Group, or a group with New York residents, I sent this to you in error.
At the end of this past Spring I made a Yahoo!Group for New York Obama supporters.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NYforObama/
Perhaps you ask, "WHY ANOTHER GROUP!"
If you did ask that... The reason is because we have no place on any Obama group or page to store files for redistribution. I have created a PDF of the Delegate rules for New York State and stored it in the files section. Also their is no semi-static place to store important links to outside resources. This group has a links section that is very organize-able. When we post a link in a blog, it gets lost over time as new blogs post. It also has a database, and polls section which could be used to store the name and number of the senior organizer in your district, or the named and accepted delegate for each district.
All these features will make us more effective. The rest of the many features on that group will not. If you are a serious volunteer I urge you to try the group. I tried to make as many features available as I could without you needing a Yahoo! ID, but some may require you to sign in on Yahoo. If you do not have a Yahoo! account, they will let you have one for free, but you don't need to make a new email address to do that. You can just tell them during account creation that you already have an email account.
That's all for now
Ooh-Rah! for Barack!

P.S. also see http://www.geocities.com/wnymathguy/DelegateSelection/DelegateSelection.htmfor a web version of the Delegate rules.
Hello to all,
Quite some time ago I thought I would be a better Obama volunteer if I knew how Barack's position on the issues compared to the other candidates. I was swimming in information trying to do an objective comparison of our position compared to other candidates. They name their positions different so you can't line them up easily for side by side comparisons. I realized after reading some of the posts before the "Walk For Change" that I wasn't the only one with the desire to study the issues.
I completed this website about 1 day before the walk for change, but chose not to mention it because I felt the sense of urgency was leaving us. I feel the timing is right now to announce the "Issue Browser" that I made. It is a free Geocities page, I built it with information from each candidates website, but mistakes may have accidentially been introduced. Please, please feel free to tell me about any improvements or repairs that I should make to it.
I organized the issues by comparing the US Constitution as it relates to powers of the President and then SUBJECTIVELY slotted each candidates individual issue into one or more of the constitutional powers. Any input from Political Science type people would be really appreciated; I'm a math, finance, mechanical type of thinker, and I am aware their is a LOT that I don't know. I invite help from Communications type people too, as I sometimes don't get my message across clearly.
Please note that free Geocities pages are not allowed to link to anything else on the internet; links only point to files in the pages own directory. I forced in text strings of web sites so you could read them and type them in an address bar if intrested, but I can't make them linkable. I did before and Yahoo! closed down my site and deleted all the files.
