Everyone should immediately contact their congressmen and demand that they vote against Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's bailout of big business.
This bill lines the pockets of special interest lobbyists and forgives business for their unadulterated greed. It gives the executive branch of government MORE POWER that is unchecked and unregulated to spend tax dollars buying debt from market speculators.
This bill was written by George Bush cronies with ties to the very businesses that they are now saving.
Topping the whole deal off, they wont cap salaries and bonuses of the CEO's who created the whole mess.
This bill is another Iraq authorization bill.
DONT BE FOOLED.

I do not support the proposal by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. This bill expands the powers of the executive branch without oversight. Any plan to rescue the economy needs to include MORE regulation of businesses that expect to have their sin washed away with taxpayer funds as well as limits to executive pay and a profit sharing provision. The middle class taxpayer cannot continue to support two wars and a bailout of the greedy.

I think that the VP should be someone that the President is both comfortable with and has confidence in their ability to also lead on day one. Chance to register some new voters. Thank you Liborio for your inspired Idea!!! We plan to register voters during the Emancipation Parade Sat. What a great opportunity. I plan to take a clip board, registration forms , pens and my feet. I plan to walk the crowd from about 10:30 to 12:00 The parade starts at 11:00 and should go from 12th street down to Carey Park where there will be a picnic.
