“Today, we’ve learned that Michigan workers continue to struggle in an economy that lost 39,000 motor vehicle manufacturing jobs in August—the largest one-month decline on record. These numbers are unacceptable and are just one more reminder of what is at stake in this election. Michigan has been hurt by President Bush’s economic policies and last night John McCain showed the American people that he will offer four more years of those same out of touch ideas. We need a fundamental change in our economy to help struggling families in Michigan, and we need to embrace policies that will help the American auto industry keep and create jobs here at home. When I am President, I will put in place specific policies that will cut taxes for over 95% of all working Americans, provide an emergency economic plan to provide $1,000 in relief for families, $1.7 billion in stimulus measures for the state of Michigan and save more than one million jobs from being lost. I will also invest in our manufacturing base, supporting loan guarantees for our domestic auto makers to help them retool their factories to make the next generation in fuel efficient vehicles. Michigan needs leadership that puts American jobs first, and that is exactly what I will do as president.”
Howell, a small city with a population of about 10,000 people. A boring place for a teenager, not a whole lot going on there. Not a lot goes on here, I mean back in the day there was the KKK, but they're long gone now,. Howell is growing though, airports expanding, the schools are ready to burst, Its crazy to watch all of it. The people of howell are mostly conservative, the schools and the kids to me seemed more liberal to me. But this group has grown quite a bit since last september. And hopefuly it will continue to grow.
