My heart leaped for joy when I listened to the talks between President Obama, the Canadian Prime Minister, and the Mexican president. President Barack Obama explained the health care plans. First, Congress and the people of the United States will complete the negotiations and then Congress will vote on our health care plan when Congress returns. Next, we will begin the discussions on the new immigration reform. He anticipates that these discussions will continue through the end of this year. Finally, Congress will vote on an immigration reform bill when they return at the first of next year. We will maintain the safety of our borders by working together with Homeland Security and our neighbors, Mexico and Canada. In addition we will and provide financial support to the Mexican government to help them fight the war against drugs. We will relax the rules on immigration so relatives can immigrate as we did in the past before 9-11, and we will make it possible for those who live in the "shadows" to have a pathway to their citizenship. This is a very humane and a very American plan.
The rest is my personal opinion. As we know "but for" the immigration laws and the fact that we stole the land from the native American in whome we think have no rights to leadership or were just pests that interfered with our ability to colonize the United States and develop it into the prosperous nation that we now have. The fault in this thinking is that it goes against all that is in our Constitution and makes us a heartless nation of hypocrites if we do not give the same benefits others as we took or were given by virtue of the sacrifices of others, be they involuntary, in the case of the Native Americans. I look forward to the common decency of those in Congress who appear to be benefit from the insurance and drug company bribes probable stashed away in secret offshore accounts in order to entice them to vote against 45 million American who are with out health care. Then we must think of those Native American who were forced to move from their lands and were scattered into Cananda, Mexico, and the Caribbean to avoid a sure death or a life of a second class citizen in their own native land.
We will get this Constitution right and we will do it soon because there are more of us who care about humane rights than those who are moved by money.

Hello fellow voters,
Call your insurance agent and change your policy form AIG to another carrier (Probably better to pick a respectable mutual insurance company, ex.. Guardian, Mass Mutual, Northwestern Mutual, New York Life). AIG is not going to apologize or correct their misuse of our tax dollars, unless we lower their amount of the policies in force dollars. So, if you are really upset change your policy, I don't care if its life, long-term care, short and long term disability, auto, or health insurance. Just hit them where it works and let’s ask the President to put a special tax on AIG and or request for all our money back. Let’s make an example out of AIG, to set a standard for all other financial and non-financial firms.
Please people lets use common sense when changing your policy, make sure you apply, get the underwriters acceptance, and the in-force policy with the final policy letter, then cancel your AIG policy. This process should take 20 to 30 days.

You can archive meeting notes and records on Google Docs as shared files for all to see.We recommend Setting up a Group Membership Spread sheet on Google Docs as well, as we share our Names, Addresses, Phone Numbers, Email Addresses, and other public data and notes with all members in each Group.The State Group Data and Membership Directory of Elected Delegates and Officers will be maintained on Google Docs as as shared file - open to Delegates only.The National Registry of all State Delegates will be also open to all Elected Delegates - as a shared file. Transparency is critical and we lead by example.No Delegate shall share the group data.There shall be no solicitation of contributions or commerce on any Group List Server.2.) The Two Year Schedule, created by the founding .CAN Group in San Francisco, California on December 13, 2008. We are all to synch to this schedule for all our use. You can set up your List of Officers - terms and when you have your group elections on a shared Google Doc as well for the reference of your group.3.) Quick question about the bailout of the auto industry.
Since we gave Wall Street and big banks a huge bailout why doesn't the Government instruct the banks who receive a portion of the bailout to loan a percentage of that money to the auto industry with the interest accrued on that loan to be paid back to the Government and the principle applied back to the bank?
That way the banks would begin lending money, the auto industry would get the money they need saving thousands if not millions of jobs, and not just one bank is responsible for carrying the loan. (I think it would be a small percentage of the money the banks received if it was equally distributed among all the banks receiving bailout money from the government.) Further the money is still coming from the Government through the banks; therefore, tax payers will not have to support yet another bailout. Of course we would still need Congressional and Treasury oversight on the banks and the big 3 but at least we would know where the money we gave the banks went and how it was used.
I'm not an expert by any means but from watching news, I think we want the banks lending money, the auto industry needs a loan, and the Government should try to recover the money as quickly as possible to pay for programs and provide middle class tax relief. I believe that if the Government has enough assurance to consider giving more tax payer money to the big 3, then banks should also have assurance to use a portion of their bailout money to loan money to the auto industry. Does this make sense?

We have accomplished so much by getting Obama elected, but like Barack told us, the job is not done. We need to continue to pressure our elected representatives to support the changes that we aspire to. MoveOn is organizing a campaign to send 100's of thousands of photos of real Americans holding signs declaring "I Stand with Obama for" ... (Clean Energy, Health Care, Ending the War in Iraq, Diplomacy, or your own issue). The plan is to send thousands of photos to Congress, etc. and to plaster DC with select photos to let people know that this movement is not going to lay down. I am so happy that Obama is our new President. Finally a competent man in the White House. After McCain and Palin threw every negative thing they could at him, the American people rejected it.
This was a landslide, a complete mandate and I could not be more happy. I can't believe it is over. I look forward to seeing Obama take over in January.
I have to literally keep pinching myself.
So many emotions ran through me over the last two years. I fought hard for Obama during the primaries and the general election. I did this because I believed in him so completely. Mostly, I became obsessed with seeing him win for my children. They deserve a president that can get us out of this mess that George W and his cronies put us in.

It has been a pleasure volunteering and offering support for this campaign. It is also my sincerest hope that the technologies developed here will extended beyond this election cycle and into a movement of local and national service to move this country forward. Our neighborhood last night only had a list of about 100 folks that had not voted yet. Split the list with other community organizers in your area and call these folks or put a reminder to vote today on their door!

If standing and greeting is not your thing, MyBO will be updating the battleground state calling list throughout the day.
The campaing is planning to post the names and numbers of specific pockets of voters in strategic battleground areas that have not made it to the polls.
This you can do in the comfort of your own home.Also there are busy call banking locations all over town, you may want to find one near you and bring snacks or drink to the volunteers.

On Halloween night I had 15 McCain/Palin signs put up on my lawn by some rednecks that didn't like my support of Obama.
I left ALL the signs up and then added one by my mailbox for EVERYONE that comes into my little republican cul-de-sac to see.

I don't know if you guys are aware of it or not but this week Texas A&M in College Station, TX had what the "young conservatives" called a FREE SPEECH ANTI OBAMA CARNIVAL
This included throwing EGGS at Obama and Hillary Clinton's faces. They had Socialist poles and a ring toss, with prizes given for all. It was just some good old time fun in Hickville.
I especially found it disgusting because my child goes to that university and called me and told me about it. I was appalled and she was VERY upset.
There is a youtube video out on it with bad quality but the remarks on the site are interesting. Most of them were disgusted but there are some that really think this is OKAY.
Even the assistant of student affairs, Kevin Jackson was not happy about it but told me that they went through the appropriate channels and had the right to FREE SPEECH. He can be reached at 979-845-4728
I called Kevin and spoke to him on Wednesday, he was getting quite a bit of feedback and not of the good kind. Did that stop the "young conservatives" NO, they had another carnival today with EGGS. Before the Egg was given to the person requesting one , the "young conservative" was told about the SOCIALISTIC policies of Obama and then they were allowed to throw the EGG at his FACE.

This month's issue of Rolling Stone has an article that is so revealing into John McCain's past, it is literally jolting to think this man is an candidate for the Presidency. The article is written by Tim Dickinson and it tells John McCain's life story, his privilaged life, his insecurities regarding his father. His navy career which was bought and sold by his daddy the Admiral. He graduated as most of you know 894 out of 899 in his class, he crashed numerous jets yet was allowed to continue flying because of his daddy.
Who does this sound like? George W. Bush? Yes, my thoughts exactly. Both W. and Johnny represent the third generation of American dynasties. Both were born into postions of privilege against which they rebelled into mediocrity. Both struggled with alchohol and loutish behavior. They both were cradled by their daddies.
This story tells the real McCain. The cheating husband, the lobbyiest connections, the political favors, the Keating 5 scandal. The only one I didn't find in here was the Liddy connection with Watergate. His conservative buddy that continues to fund his campaign.
The torture at the Hanoi Hilton was endured by many during that time. Many were offered the right to be released but didn't take it because of the "military code of conduct". Listening to Johnny talk you would think he was the only one that suffered. Actually he gave up information and was tortured less than others because of that information. It wasn't information that McCain continues to spew on the campaign trail either, this was information regarding his last mission, his ship, etc.
This is a really good story for anyone that wants another reason not to vote for McCain. As if we need any other reason!
