I just don't understand why Hillary's supporters think she can win in the fall against McCain. Independent, moderate, and even some Democratic-leaning men will not vote for her. They'll either stay home or vote for McCain. I think a lot of Hillary's supporters want a female Democratic nominee so badly they are willing to sacrifice the election in the fall to the Republicans.
Why do her supporters prefer a female Democratic candidate who will lose over a Democratic candidate who has a good chance to win?
I just don't understand this line of thinking. It's very frustrating to me.
Interesting read from Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan today. She says that Republican operatives are hoping they get to take on Clinton in the general election because she's so easy to attack. However, I think she might go a bit too far on another point she makes. She says Hillary may not know how to bow out gracefully. She also says Clinton's campaign is now a losing campaign. It's a rolling loss, perhaps beginning with the results on Super Tuesday, Clinton's admitted $5 million personal loan to her campaign, and the news of unpaid staffers.

I keep reading more commentaries in the media that support my argument that Obama has a better chance than Clinton to beat McCain in November. Here's a link to Washington Post political columnist David Broder's latest on how McCain will be a formidable candidate. Note the polling numbers he cites that show Obama has the best chance to win by attracting more men and independent voters than Clinton would get.

Here's a link to a very interesting article about the emerging woes of the Clinton campaign from Politico.com.

In case you're not in one of the local media markets the campaign is showing their new "Join" commercial during the Super Bowl, here's a link to it on The New York Times website:

Obama is now in a statistical tie with Clinton in the latest Gallup three-day rolling average national tracking poll.
Clinton: 46%; Obama: 44%
The margin of error is +/- 3. This means there is a 95% chance that the true value in the population is within 3 percentage points of these numbers from the Gallup sample.

There has been a clear momentum shift going Obama's way over the last ten days. Let's keep it going!
