What should be even more worrisome is that Friedman style, free-market ideology was sold to the Chinese. The Chicago Boys having deemed Democracies as inhospitable to their formula for quenching insatiable greed, China certainly would prove quite the opposite. Just look at the praise it received via the, so called, Olympics. Look where the free-market multi-nationals tend to find attraction and tend to gravitate towards - China and Dubai.

Thanks to the artifice of 'Fractional Reserve Banking' debt has become money, hence a commodity, which value is then speculated upon as it is bundled, bought and sold by wall-street casinos. For the past six years of relentless media pounding, the malleable public mind has been rendered into mush, brow-beaten into accepting the premise for the invasion and occupation of Iraq as, somehow, in fact, being based on a legitimate war. It is not a war and never has been. If you proceed from a false assumption, you will end up with a false argument. In this case, any reference to the term ‘Surge’ is a misnomer, and by default, an attempted extension to justify an already illicit deed. Therefore, any argument for, or against any kind of SURGE as working, or not, is simply a vain, elaborate attempt to mask and justify the mass slaughter and displacement of millions of people the current misconception has already left in its wake. This can not be dismissed, or condoned by a simple play on words. The architects should not be allowed, so easily, to wash from their hands the spilt innocent blood and wryly walk away!
Iraq never attacked the U.S., nor did it ever pose a threat. It was already occupied; cornered and bludgeoned by an already ongoing occupation initiated by Bush I. Bush II simply utilized the chaos that issued forth from the psychodrama of 9/11, as a means to escalate its belligerence against the Iraqi people to satisfy neocon agenda, seize the oil fields and restore U.S. Dollar supremacy. The U.S. Congress never declared war against Iraq, it simply signed off, giving Bush abusive powers to escalate existing aggressions of occupation; technically it has been nothing more than a congressionally sanctioned police action from the very beginning.
Now that the neocon warmongers wish to play a shell game with a ‘redeployment’ of troops from one illicit invasion: Iraq; transferring the focal point of its aggression by escalating those actions into the, long forgotten, initial invasion of Afghanistan, perhaps it would benefit all if we were to revisit the timeline encompassing the events of: Cheney/Enron – Taliban – Afghanistan – leading up to 9/11.
The Enron scandal runs so deep into the Bush/Cheney regime that evidence shows Enron may have been a major factor in Bush/Cheney complicity in 9/11 as pretext for the present "global war on terror" a war for the control of Central Asian oil, gas reserves and pipelines implicating the Bush/Cheney neocon regime in both the Enron scandal and 9/11, as Enron also had its interests in the Afghanistan/Central Asia energy grab.
From 2001 to 2003, Dick Cheney continued to openly break the law by defying GAO requests to turn over his records of meetings with Enron. The General Accounting Office decided not to challenge a judge's decision to dismiss the watchdog agency's lawsuit against Vice President Dick Cheney's energy task force.
The decision by GAO ended a nearly two-year battle with the White House over documents detailing meetings Cheney held with the National Energy Policy Development Group in 2001. The meetings resulted in the president's national energy policy and many of the officials there came from Enron Corp., the Houston-based energy company that filed for bankruptcy in December 2001 amid accusations of hidden debt, inflated profits and improper accounting methods.
There are indications that Enron and the White House were working closely with the Taliban -- including Osama bin Laden -- up to weeks before the Sept. 11 attack. Why was the bin Laden family, swiftly whisked out of the country, immediately following the events of 9/11?
The Bush Oil Team, and their neocon drivers can momentarily rely on the support of the interim Prime Minister of Afghanistan, may think that war and oil profits mix, but there is simply too much evidence that the War in Afghanistan was primarily about building UNOCAL's pipeline, not about fighting terrorism.
How does McCain fit into the Enron ball game? (In other words, the larger and more magnificent the con, the more difficult it is to see through it, especially if it is sanctioned and cloaked in the respectable shroud of one’s own government.)
I’d be willing to venture a ten-fold return on your every dollar, that there are currently, and have been from the very beginning, numerous false-flag fires set off all over the Middle East landscape. To this bloody thought process, the ends justify what ever means are at its disposal.
If these things are not openly vetted, the House can only remain under the dark cloud it has gathered itself under, while innocent blood continues to spill and scream from the ground to haunt the ears of the living.
I say, reopen the investigations into Enron/Cheney (currently, morphed into the UBS of McCain/Gramm/Cheney) because this might very well be the thread to pull that will unravel the cloak, which was 9/11.

The White House is no longer so white, for it has gathered over itself a persistent dark cloud which the assembly insists on nurturing. They have made of itself the focus as a laughing stock for the entire universe.
Senator Obama, I have been a supporter of yours since before you became a candidate for the Democratic nomination. I read your book, and believed in you when you described how hard it was to vote for anything in the Senate because every bill had good and bad things in it, but that you tried to put principle ahead of politics. I sacrificed my income to donate to your campaign. I believed in you when you took a stand on FISA, and told us you would filibuster any FISA bill that provided retroactive immunity for lawbreakers. Today you changed your mind and bowed to corporate power and corrupt politics. I do not believe in you today. You are not a change in government. You are not even among the principled elite, those 28 Senators such as Sen. Boxer (D) and Sen. Spector (R) who put principle and law ahead of politics and voted against the FISA bill passed today. You are the presumptive leader of the Democratic party. You signalled to the Senate community that you were going to vote for the bill, and that gave permission to your collegues that they also could, in pursuit of ongoing corporate support, vote for a bill which erodes our freedoms and eats away at the heart of the Constitution. You may still be better for our country than Senator McCain, but you are better only in a small way. You have met your enemy, and it is yourself, and you have lost. Shame on you.
Obama promised us he would filibuster a FISA bill that provided immunity for the telecom companies who illegally established wiretaps on the American people. He changed his mind, and today voted for a bill which gives the government essentially a blanket ability to listen in on Americans communicating with anyone in a foreign country, without a warrant. The bill guts the original FISA bill, and gives retroactive immunity to telecom companies who broke the law based on President George Bush's say-so. The message is clear: if you break the law based on a request from a government executive, you will not be held liable.
Few Democrats held to principle and voted against this bad bill today. Hillary Clinton was one of them. Obama was not. Perhaps I made a mistake supporting Obama. If he betrays us on this, how can I trust him on promises about energy and the environment, or health care? Obviously, he and the Democratic congressional leadership are listening to "higher voices", and our government is in the control of powers larger than "we the people". "Trust us", they say, "we need to take away your rights in order to keep you safe". Sure.
Certainly I will not be renewing my financial support for Obama for the general election. I'm not sure I can even vote for him.
Shame on you, Sen. Obama.

In examining the options for Obama to appeal to Clinton fans, Paul Krugman writes: "What about offering Mrs. Clinton the vice presidency? If I were Mr. Obama, I’d do it. Adding Mrs. Clinton to the ticket — or at least making the offer — might help heal the wounds of an ugly primary fight. Here’s the point: the nightmare Mr. Obama and his supporters should fear is that in an election year in which everything favors the Democrats, he will nonetheless manage to lose. He needs to do everything he can to make sure that doesn’t happen." It's surprising that Krugman's reasoning doesn't appear to factor in what Obama supporters might think. Obama repeatedly has urged voters to rebel against the "same old politics" and the "past" - each becoming a buzzword for Hillary. Now Krugman appeals to Obama to include a person who symbolizes all Obama rallied people against? A lot of people seem to be drinking KoolAid flavored tea for election season. Liz Trotta, on Fox, in discussing Hillary's assassination comment, actually said it would be good to kill Osama and Obama both.

Walker, Comptroller General of the US and head of the Government Accountability Office, in his December 17, 2007, report to the US Congress on the financial statements of the US government noted that "the federal government did not maintain effective internal control over financial reporting (including safeguarding assets) and compliance with significant laws and regulations as of September 30, 2007." In everyday language, the US government cannot pass an audit.
Moreover, the GAO report pointed out that the accrued liabilities of the federal government "totaled approximately $53 trillion as of September 30, 2007." No funds have been set aside against this mind boggling liability.
Just so the reader understands, $53 trillion is $53,000 billion.
Frustrated by speaking to deaf ears, Walker recently resigned as head of the Government Accountability Office....

To the folks enamored with the ideology of the above criminals who blindly wrap themselves up in the flag along with them, whose only defense is to hurl dark psychological attacks in attempt to steer the xenophobic uncertainties of the public mind, applied by the cattle-prod of fear, Obama’s philosophy must indeed seem alien. Much of the public has matured and sees through this pretentious façade of deception. Obama is a breath of fresh air to these lungs that have for far too long been gasping and choking on the toxic atmosphere belched forth by corporate greed and its rule by the force of arms.
A military economy can only thrive in an atmosphere of paranoia, fear and opposition. What otherwise could possibly justify its existence? An army of soldiers can do anything but sit on their bayonets. They must either use them, or lose them.

The forces in the universe are neither good nor evil but, misappropriated in the hands of those who perceive those forces as ‘weapons of power’, then do they manifest as evil; to this force of power, peace is an enemy.
