Intrepid mother daughter team fearlessly travel across the United States in their "trusty" Mercedes "tank" that runs on waste veggie oil! As they inhale the smell of freedom fries coming from their exhaust they search for stories that need to be told about our environment, our people, and the future of this country.
We will be stopping everywhere from the grassroots and coordinated campaign offices from here in Bellingham to Orange, CA and on over to Washington DC... and will even be on the ground at the DNC in Denver! We hope to be your eyes on the ground and capture first hand footage of this historic and decisive moment in our history. Please join us!!
Do you have some computer time? OFA needs our help.

Obama for America organizer Mike French, working in WA now through our April Legislative Caucuses and Conventions, said they can use all the help we can give them verifying voter data online.
Whether you've got 15 minutes or a couple hours - you can go online - they give us passwords and simple directions - and verify matching voter/delegate/alternate information. As simple as matching names on a list with a few mouse clicks.
The time is NOW. We need the data verified ASAP so that the information we have for caucuses and conventions is accurate. April 5th won't wait!
E-mail me or other local organizers you're already working with for passwords and directions.

Barack the VOTE!!
In reading and listening to the news reports today about pharmaceuticals in US drinking water, my first thought was: why should we be surprised? The terrorists that we have to fear are the very people who have been "breaking" government since they announced they were going to do it and were voted in to do exactly that. I said then that the majority of Americans were on drugs to have elected Ronald Reagan. And, living in California during the 70s, I knew a little something about what drugs could do to the human mind. However, I do not know what they could have possibly been on to elect George W. Bush to a second term. So, it must have been the water since the drug companies have certainly profited during his executive excesses.
Last month (Feb. 20), Walden Bello examined what impact the increasing oil prices and the eroding financial markets would have on global capitalism and the U.S. econony, observing that
Several years ago, I posited that unless policymakers in the United States started paying attention to the Bush administration's failed policies in every sector of the Republic, it would be the American people who would pay the price. The bullheadedness that currently exists in the White House and among its sheep in Congress makes it ever more urgent that a discourse on the economy occurs. Still today, the White House mouthpieces are saying it's all good.
