1. When we talk to people lets suggest that they meet with their family and friends, which could be a simple coffee and donut party on the weekend then go vote. Or, an after Vote BBQ.
2. Lunch time shuttle to the local library
3. Get people to request an*** Elector's Absentee Ballot.****
If you still want to Vote at a location all you have to do is bring the Absentee Ballot with you so the poll worker can collect it. This way you can also see and make your decision before you go to Vote

There was a message circulating some of our groups in Florida yesterday that spread incorrect information conerning the the ID needed to vote. We're going to clarify below.
A message from the Florida Campaign for Change chief election lawyer:
I am the Obama-Biden campaign’s chief election lawyer in Florida, and I have received the 'no match no vote' message from several sources. This message is categorically false. Our reading of the clear statutory language does NOT require that the address on the driver’s license (or other ID) that the voter presents at the polls match the voter’s address in the precinct register. Furthermore, this press release from the Florida Secretary of State definitively ccnfirms:http://www.dos.state.fl.us/news/communications/pressRelease/pressRelease.cfm?id=330 See the last bullet:· I.D. required and checked at the polls is used solely to confirm the voter’s identity. Not to verify the voter’s ID number or address. The photograph on the ID is compared to the person standing before the poll worker and the signature on the ID is compared to the signature on record.

South Florida Women For Obama
Watching Governor Palin's speech made me sick last night.
It was a well-written (See: Written for her), well-rehearsed attack on Barack Obama. Was it as effective as the Republican's would have hoped? I don't think so. Sarah Palin is a Puppet. She's a sham. She's very easy to see through. She's simply a distraction for the Republican party. In three days of speeches I have not heard one thing about the economy, the middle class, creating new jobs, the environment, or plans for energy (except for drilling). Just more of the same, warhawking and fear-mongering.
Sarah Palin is a puppet and distraction. Let's make the media and public focus on a young pregnant daughter as opposed to the plans the Republicans have for America's future, which are: NONE. Let's try to trick women who are unfortunately apathetic to politics (sigh... my mother) into voting Republican by slapping a woman (who was barely vetted) on their ticket.
I actually cannot wait for the debates. Especially the VP debate. What is she gonna do when she cannot just attack but she has to speak about something of substance: THE ISSUES. The issues that are pressing to this country the most. That I can't wait for.
This morning I have recieved emails from my newsgroups and SoFla for Obama with people complaining and feeling defeated. NO MORE! NO MORE WEAK DEMOCRATS! Stand up and ignore her diatribe and the right party rhetoric. They attack because they have no solutions for our country's problems. Sit back and look, they are the weak ones.

While I was out yesterday getting voters to register, dozens of people stopped by the registration table to vent thier feelings about McCain's pick for VP. One supporter of McCain said that he is appauled by McCain's lack of judgement and has decided not to vote for him because of it. Dozens of women, some of them Hillary supporters, said they were insulted and outraged. It speaks volumes of McCain's opinion about not only women, but ALL people. He thinks we are naive and stupid! And if he wanted to take the focus off of Obama after the DNC, he did, but in a very negative way. So who is naive and stupid? A double backfie indeed!
These rules pose a serious threat to providers and uninsured and low-income Americans seeking care. They could prevent providers of federally-funded family planning services, like Medicaid and Title X, from guaranteeing their patients access to the full range of comprehensive family planning services. They'll also build significant barriers to counseling, education, contraception and preventive health services for those who need it most: low-income and uninsured women and men.
We've seen this kind of ideologically driven move from the Bush administration before. Senator Patty Murray and I went toe to toe with the Bush administration to demand a decision on Plan B by the FDA. We won that fight and we need to win this one too.
When I learned about these proposed rules, I immediately joined with Senator Murray to call on the Bush administration to stop these dangerous plans. I am joining with New York family planning and healthcare advocates to spread the word. Now is the time to raise our voices. I will continue to press HHS and I hope you will join me. I have posted information on how to get involved here.
