Hon. Eric Holder Attorney General U.S. Department of Justice 950 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, D.C., 20530-0001 Dear Attorney General Holder: As you are only too painfully aware, housing in the U.S. has been the linchpin of the current economic crisis. The American Homeowners Resource Center is a nationwide grassroots organization dedicated to the American homeowner, and has been working on these problems for almost 20 years. We have seen corruption in all facets of the housing market. In homeowner associations where 55 million Americans now live, we have documented the corruption betweeen politicians, the lawyers who farm homeowner associations, and judges who invariably rule for the association against the homeowner. We have seen a gross violation of the civil rights of homeowners which has resulted in them losing their homes and their lives - literally. We have seen how a giant fraud has infected the entire body politic and economic. From the savings and loan scandal of the 1980's up until today, the fraudsters have piled scheme upon scheme to mass massive personal wealth for themselves at the expense of citizens. We are wondering what they are planning as an encore. Developers bribe politicians to approve the zoning for their vast housing developments. The bankers then provide the mortgages at teaser rates to get citizens to buy the homes, and pocket the sumptuous commissions. (Some of the million dollar homes in foreclosure in Southern California were owned by those who peddled the sub-prime mortgages.) The lawyers then move in to convert homeowner associations into cash registers for themselves, piling regulation upon regulation so that they can fine the homeowner, and carry out non-judicial foreclosures on the homeowners when they cannot afford the outrageous fines and lawyers' fees, and conspire with the politicians to pass laws to make all this legal. When the homeowner goes to court, the judges invariably side with the homeowner association and its lawyers. (Some of these very same lawyers have acted as commissioners in such cases.) The judges then grant hundreds of thousands in legal fees to these lawyers against the homeowners. If a lawyer has the courage and integrity to stick up for homeowners, the judicial system goes after him/her with a vengeance. The following documentation regarding one such lawyer, Richard Fine, will show the depth of corruption of the legal system, which violates the constitution and laws as if they did not exist. Such activity will continue with impunity unless you take decisive and immediate action to stop it. The current crisis which we are in, is not simply economic. Indeed, the economic crisis flows from the political, legal and cultural virus that has infected every part of our society. Unless you promptly use the many tools at your disposal, the damage to our society will far exceed that which may be caused by an external enemy. Hence, we are writing as a "follow up" to previous requests by homeowners to institute grand juries to investigate wrongdoing over "homeowner issues" in Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside Counties as a beginning. We realize that there are many items on your plate, but as housing is central to the current crisis, we hope that you will place a high priority on these matters. We would appreciate your prompt response both on the above matters, and the following case study of a lawyer who tried to do something, and what happened to him. It is sent as a formal criminal complaint for violation of the "implied right to honest services", (28 U.S.C. § 1346) and other appropriate statutes against the following individuals, and a request that the Department of Justice open an investigation of them: Sincerely, Elizabeth McMahon - Publisher American Homeowners Resource Center P. By Wendy Clardy, Homeowners Resource Center
Today, you took the oath of office as President of the United States, and swore to uphold its Constitution. We, the homeowners of America, endorsed and voted for you in overwhelming numbers because you promised to take care of the people, you promised to end the war, you promised to make the U.S. a country of principle in foreign affairs, and you promised that it would not be politics as usual in Washington. We recognize that being a candidate for the presidency and being president are not the same thing. We saw that change in you on election night on November 4, 2008. You were no longer asking us to give you the power. You now had the power. It was a sobering moment for you and us. Over the past 10 weeks since your election, we have seen you change from being the fiery speaker, to the circumspect politician who appointed his cabinet. Most of the appointees were from the politics-as-usual school. We have seen you back down from your campaign pledge to end the tax-breaks for the rich because you did not want to ruffle the feathers of the Republicans. Apparently, that means more to you than the plight of millions of Americans who are without jobs and homes. We have heard you say that George Bush is a good man. Yet he has caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq, lost over 4000 U.S. troops, and produced tens of thousands of cripples among U.S. service personnel. How can that be a good man? You are now committing the nation to a deeper war in Afghanistan. Will that be another Vietnam? How many more billions will we pay on wars that - in your words - are "dumb"? Hundreds of millions are being spent on your inauguration. If you were hungry and homeless and without health insurance, what would you think about that? The hopes which you raised in your campaign can evaporate as quickly. When your nominess for Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, stated that your administration would marry principle with pragmatism, it sent a warning shot across the bow of many homeowners. Is every principle subject to being bent to the whims of pragmatism? Does that mean that you would sometimes torture? There are some principles that are above pragmatism. We hope that you remember this. We must all look to the future, but looking to the past can provide a lot of insight for the future. He who does not know history, is condemned to relive its mistakes. Corruption is rampant among lawyers and judges in this country. Will you have the Justice Department crack down on that? Corruption is rampant in every nook and cranny of Wall Street and corporate America. Will you have the Justice Department crack down on that? If we only look to the future, we are prisoners of the past. We also hope that you will help the millions of homeowners who are struggling with falling home prices and trying to pay their mortgages in the midst of unemployment and recession. Giving money to banks has clearly not worked. Why not try helping homeowners? They are the ones who are drowning. The homeowners of America, especially the 55 milliion who live in homeowner associations, have suffered many abuses in preceding years. They have been targets of foresclosure scams by lawyers, aided by judges who do not practice justice and politicians who live off the lawyers' largesse. We recognize that you face daunting challenges ahead, and we wish you well. We hope that you will honor your pledges in your campaign, so that more pain is not inflicted on the people of America.
First of all, congratulations on being elected President of the United States. Your steadiness of temperament, insight, and freedom from the intellectual and attitudinal shackles of the past appealed to a people tired of the self-defeating mindset of those who have ruined this country with their greed, selfishness and self-aggrandizement. The people of this country clearly wanted a new beginning, not to jettison the wisdom of the past, but to rescue it from those who had trampled it underfoot in their headlong rush for obscene wealth at the expense of the people. You have recognized that the economy is the most urgent priority facing this country. You have also recognized that it was the fraud, corruption and abuse in the housing market that triggered the current catastrophe where Americans are losing their homes, jobs and life-savings. The purpose of this letter is to highlight some of the central causes of this crisis so that it will never inflict such pain on the American people again. The American Homeowners Resource Center ("AHRC") was established in 1990 to be a voice for the ordinary American homeowner. It is a non-profit, grassroots, nationwide group of homeowners who seek to protect the American home from the predatory grasp of those who seek to commoditize the home for their own nefarious purposes. In 1997, AHRC created a website ( www.ahrc.com ) to better enable homeowners to share their experiences, publish their ideas on how to improve communities, and to unmask corruption when they found it. It has grown by leaps and bounds, and the website today averages 100,000 hits a day, or 3 million a month. While AHRC has had a particular focus on the 55 million Americans who live in homeowner associations, its range of interest encompasses the entire housing market.AHRC believes that a number of principles must guide a nation's policies towards housing.First, and most importantly, a home is a sacred place. We believe that you know this from your own experience. It is where Americans live, move and have their being. It is where they raise families, share their most precious moments, most profoundly live out their lives, and experience that sense of freedom without which no person can truly be said to be fully human and happy.Second, as a corollary to this first principle, no federal, state or local economic or social policy can undermine or conflict with this fundamental goal. In particular, homes cannot be commoditized and made into economic pawns for the wealthification of the few. We have seen how this practice of securitizing mortgages has led to the downfall of the economy both in this country and around the world.Third, the role of government in housing has to be as non-intrusive as possible. Its role is to protect and serve, not dominate and control. In homeowner associations - which have mushroomed in the last 50 years - the latter has predominated. Homeowner associations are private government that intrude on a citizen's life more than any other branch of government. They dictate what flowers you can plant, whether you can install a basketball hoop, whether you can fly the American flag - and fine you if you dare to do any of these things. And if you do not pay the fine, they will send their lawyers after you, who will rack up thousands in legal fees, and foreclose on your home if you not pay. In effect, the American home has been converted into a cash register for the numerous grasping hands of lawyers and other vendors with the connivance of judges. This letter is not the place for a full exposition of the problems in the housing market. If you desire it, we will be happy to provide any further information that you need. However, there is one particular aspect that we would like to draw to your attention. We recognize that you are in the midst of drawing a group of people around you to help you with the many issues that face you as the new President. We also recognize that your task requires the hiring of quality people, and that this task is a massive one, demanding the screening of countless candidates. To help you in that task, we would like to suggest the names of some people whom you should NOT hire. We list them here for a variety of actions that they have taken in the housing field. But the common element is that they all have not protected the sanctity of the American home. We will be happy to provide details if necessary.Willie Brown, former speaker of the California AssemblyGray Davis, former governor of CaliforniaJackie Speier, congresswoman from CaliforniaGov. Napolitano, governor of Arizona. This is only a small, partial list. A more comprehensive one can be provided upon request. In addition, other homeowners from around the country will be contacting you with other names from their parts of the country. We know that the task facing you in so many areas is daunting. But as a home is built brick by brick, so a nation is built by the contributions of each citizen, however small. We hope that the above helps in the re-building of a nation that has been ravaged beyond recognition in recent years. We pray that your resolve will not falter as you begin this massive task of reconstruction.

The rich has always depended on the lower income classes to help them stay rich. Rich people have always victimized and defrauded the America’s poor. The rich has defrauded the poor for decades out of their money. It’s just being exposed now.
My question would be why the rich is relying on the “poor” communities to keep them rich? It has caused a wide void of resources in the poor communities statewide and nationwide, which has affected not only the individual, but employment for the “grassroots” poor and rural communities, and other small business and organizations; it has also stripped the public of fair and impartial rendering of services from local, state and governmental organizations that get thousands and millions of dollars to fill the void of disparity, homelessness, hunger and other economic struggles that hurt the people in the lower income classes so much.
Senator Obama, we need for real change. The rich has found a way to rig the votes to stop us again, our attempts to vote has turned into fraud. The poor and captive have fought and died to have the right to vote, and yet, some wise guy or gal can take a vote away by fraudulent means. It is against the “poor” people to have the right to vote for whom they choose—you.
The wealthy and the rich still feel you are not experienced enough to battle the issues of victimization or the fraud in the economy, money, credit, health care, our judicial systems, and other predatory issues. There are more of us than it is of them, and the Republicans are scared, what do they know about victimization and fraud in the low income communities? Not anything.
Consider doing away with securitization of mortgages and credit; the IOU’s, it has done no good in this society. Wall Street shows us that. Wall Street is using scare tactics to get the public to help them back into the game of theft upon the citizens of the United States again.
Credit (using other people’s money) has caused this whole world economy to fail. In the 1930’s was the great depression; in 1991 was another economic depression as well, now in the year of 2008, we are back to where history has repeated itself.
There is a war for Civil rights, war against mortgage fraud, foreclosure fraud, predators lending services and bankruptcy fraud, big corporations and agencies are the culprits in America and no one in the judicial system will help, men and women hide behind black robes pretending to give fair and impartial hearings without due process or access to justice. Senator Obama, we need real change the predators are eating us alive.
We the poor cannot get heard, the media is out of our reach. They are listening to the rich and the “other” blue collar workers that defraud the system through having businesses that are illegitimate and “unlicensed,” but they have big bank in their pockets, and pretending to be poor. They are getting heard even when they have been caught.
What about the brown, red and the other color collar workers, that are legitimate, that are licensed, when they will be heard, who are these people. Do the media care? Does anybody really care? The grassroots communities are the bottom of the food chain where the rich feed to get richer and the poor gets poorer.
Nothing is what it seems, we are denied the right to stand up, speak up or to speak out. We have really been duped to have real education, and to have support about this issue is rare. Everything is a lie from the law to the economy, there is nothing left to do, but to start all over. Now that would be real change.
There are small organizations that cannot get any funding because of the “big shot” organizations that collect thousands and millions of dollars from our government surplus, they are the reason we have a void in the communities at large.
Money is being pocketed, and less of the needy are being helped. Says who? “ The people writing at Ahrc.com, Families and Victims of Fraud, Wendy Clardy Ministries, Al Maun and many more up front and out spoken organizations” says it, ask us and we will tell you who it is, if you really want to know we are located on the internet contact us. Get our views on what is really going this is big news.
We need help to stop big corporations and organizations that are driven to help the needy and the poor by using economic duress tactics, by taking away their livelihood, life savings, homes, families, and the use of fear tatics that causes a lack of confidence in these communites to stand up for change. They keep the poor in economic hardship so they can spending money frivolously.
And, those that work for a honest living for these corporations, companies and organizations can not do their jobs that they were employed to do because it is rigged to make money off of the poor. The employees are forced to defraud and victimized the people or lose their jobs, even the employee is victimized to victimize and defraud others. These organizations pretend they have a need or a void to fill when helping the low income communities. They are victimizing families that are not in the system to get more money from our government. The needy and the poor are not getting the help and support they need.
There is a void that needs to be filled: a crack down on victimization and fraud in local, state and governmental agencies that are not doing their jobs according to their company’s policies, most corporations, organizations and agencies are not rendering honest and safe services to the public. This is a public trust and safety issue here in Columbus, Ohio. Senator Obama, look into this, and help us to help you to make real change.
I'm only receiving hear-say and I certainly would like to know the facts!!!
Is it correct that Sarah Palin had raped victims pay for their own rape kits?
Please, no lies. I welcome factul input.

The wife U.S. Republican John McCain callously left behind
By Sharon Churcher
Last updated at 1:45 AM on 08th June 2008
Now that Hillary Clinton has at last formally withdrawn from the race for the White House, the eyes of America and the world will focus on Barack Obama and his Republican rival Senator John McCain.
Carol McCainForgotten woman: But despite all her problems Carol McCain says she still adores he ex-husband
McCain likes to illustrate his moral fibre by referring to his five years as a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam . And to demonstrate his commitment to family values, the 71-year-old former US Navy pilot pays warm tribute to his beautiful blonde wife, Cindy, with whom he has four children.
But there is another Mrs McCain who casts a ghostly shadow over the Senator’s presidential campaign. She is seldom seen and rarely written about, despite being mother to McCain’s three eldest children.
And yet, had events turned out differently, it would be she, rather than Cindy, who would be
vying to be First Lady. She is McCain’s first wife, Carol, who was a famous beauty and a successful swimwear model when they married in 1965.
She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam ’s infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news.
But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Her car had skidded on icy roads into a telegraph pole on Christmas Eve, 1969. Her pelvis and one arm were shattered by the impact and she suffered massive internal injuries.
When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons
had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter.
Through sheer hard work, Carol learned to walk again. But when John McCain came home from Vietnam , she had gained a lot of weight and bore little resemblance to her old self.
Today, she stands at just 5ft4in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70, her face is worn by wrinkles that speak of decades of silent suffering.
For nearly 30 years, Carol has maintained a dignified silence about the accident, McCain and their divorce. But last week at the bungalow where she now lives at Virginia Beach, a faded seaside resort 200 miles south of Washington, she told The Mail on Sunday how McCain divorced her in 1980 and married Cindy, 18 years his junior and the heir to an Arizona brewing fortune, just one month later.
John and Cindy McCain
Golden couple: John and Cindy McCain at a charity gala in Los Angeles
Carol insists she remains on good terms with her ex-husband, who agreed as part of their divorce settlement to pay her medical costs for life. ‘I have no bitterness,’
she says. ‘My accident is well recorded. I had 23 operations, I am five inches shorter than I used to be and I was in hospital for six months. It was just awful, but it wasn’t the reason for my divorce.
‘My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does.’
Some of McCain’s acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ‘play the field’. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.
McCain was then earning little more than £25,000 a year as a naval officer, while his new father-in-law, Jim Hensley, was a multi-millionaire who had impeccable political connections.
But setting out to have a good time, the young McCain hung out with a group of young officers who called themselves the ‘Bad Bunch’.
His primary interest was women and his conquests ranged from a knife-wielding floozy nicknamed ‘Marie, the Flame of Florida ’ to a tobacco heiress.
It seems clear she was bowled over by McCain’s attention at a time when he was becoming bored with his playboy lifestyle.
‘He was 28 and ready to settle down and he loved Carol’s children,’ recalled another Annapolis graduate, Robert Timberg, who wrote The Nightingale’s Song, a bestselling biography of McCain and four other graduates of the academy.
The couple married and McCain adopted Carol’s sons. Their daughter, Sidney, was born a year later, but domesticity was clearly beginning
He was assigned as a bomber pilot on an aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Tonkin .
What follows is the stuff of the McCain legend. He was shot down over Hanoi in October 1967 on his 23rd mission over North Vietnam and was badly beaten by an angry mob when he was pulled, half-drowned from a lake.
war hero John McCainWar hero: McCain with Carol as he arrives back in the US in 1973 after his five years as a PoW in North Vietnam
Over the next five-and-a-half years in the notorious Hoa Loa Prison he was regularly tortured and mistreated.
It wasn’t until some hours later that she was discovered, alone and in terrible pain, next to the wreckage of her car. She had been hurled through the windscreen.
After her first series of life-saving operations, Carol was told she may never walk again, but when doctors said they would try to get word to McCain about her injuries, she refused, insisting: ‘He’s got enough problems, I don’t want to tell him.’
H. Ross Perot, a billionaire Texas businessman, future presidential candidate and advocate of prisoners of war, paid for her medical care.
But friends say privately he was ‘appalled’ by the change in her appearance. At first, though, he was kind, assuring her: ‘I don’t look so good myself. It’s fine.’
He bought her a bungalow near the sea in Florida and another former PoW helped him to build a railing so she could pull herself over the dunes to the water.
‘I thought, of course, we would live happily ever after,’ says Carol. But as a war hero, McCain was moving in ever-more elevated circles.
Through Ross Perot, he met Ronald Reagan, then Governor of California. A sympathetic Nancy Reagan took Carol under her wing.
But already the McCains’ marriage had begun to fray. ‘John started carousing and running around with women,’ said Robert Timberg.
McCain has acknowledged that he had girlfriends during this time, without going into details. Some friends blame his dissatisfaction with Carol, but others give some credence to her theory of a mid-life crisis.
He was also fiercely ambitious, but it was clear he would never become an admiral like his illustrious father and grandfather and his thoughts were turning to politics.
Carol and her children were devastated. ‘It was a complete surprise,’ says Nancy Reynolds, a former Reagan aide.
‘They never displayed any difficulties between themselves. I know the Reagans were quite shocked because they loved and respected both Carol and John.’
Another friend added: ‘Carol didn’t fight him. She felt her infirmity made her an impediment to him. She justified his actions because of all he had gone through. She used to say, "He just wants to make up for lost time."’
Indeed, to many in their circle the saddest part of the break-up was Carol’s decision to resign herself to losing a man she says she still adores.
Friends confirm she has remained friends with McCain and backed him in all his campaigns. ‘He was very generous to her in the divorce but of course he could afford to be, since he was marrying Cindy,’ one observed.
McCain transferred the Florida beach house to Carol and gave her the right to live in their jointly-owned townhouse in the Washington suburb of Alexandria . He also agreed to pay her alimony and child support.
A former neighbour says she subsequently sold up in Florida and Washington and moved in 2003 to Virginia Beach . He said: ‘My impression was that she found the new place easier to manage as she still has some difficulties walking.’
Meanwhile McCain moved to Arizona with his new bride immediately after their 1980 marriage. There, his new father-in-law gave him a job and introduced him to local businessmen and political powerbrokers who would smooth his passage to Washington via the House of Representatives and Senate.
And yet despite his popularity as a politician, there are those who won’t forget his treatment of his first wife.
‘When he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it.
‘Eventually he met Cindy and she was young, beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better.
‘This is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol.’
One old friend of the McCains said: ‘Carol always insists she is not bitter, but I think that’s a defence mechanism. She also feels deeply in his debt because in return for her agreement to a divorce, he promised to pay for her medical care for the rest of her life.’
Carol remained resolutely loyal as McCain’s political star rose. She says she agreed to talk to The Mail on Sunday only because she wanted to publicise her support for the man who abandoned her.
Indeed, the old Mercedes that she uses to run errands displays both a disabled badge and a sticker encouraging people to vote for her ex-husband. ‘He’s a good guy,’ she assured us. ‘We are still good friends. He is the best man for president.’
‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory,’ he said.
‘After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona . And the rest is history.’

First let me start out with saying that I'm a single mother of a 17 year old autistic son and a 20 year old son now serving active duty (U.S. Army). I'm also a retired military veteran of over 20 years of active U.S. Army service.
Please understand that I'm a female that believe that it would be OK to place women in Combat units (if they're QUAIFIED). So, please keep clear that I would never judge a woman on her goals and aspirations to climb to the top or break that "Glass Ceiling", I've walked the walk.
Children with special needs require ALL of his/her MOTHER's love. Dad's love of course, BUT a MOTHER's love UNQUESTIONBLY!! I have no doubt that Mrs. Palin will provide this to all of her children. I truly don't. I deployed to Iraq 3 times and my son was DEVASTATED. My entire family had to be dishonest with him just so that he didn't hyperventilate after my first deployment. He's doing much better with my just being constantly present and visible!
Mrs. Palin mentioned that to all of the "Special Needs parents out here, just know that you'll have a voice in the White House". At that moment, I'd wished I was standing in that audience just to whisper to Sarah that "NO, be a voice in your OWN house". "Be present in your OWN house".
She have 3 daughters! One's pregnant at the age of 17 and is unwed but, is now going to be thrust into marriage because of an unwanted pregnacy. Seems to me that one of her focuses should be to ensure that the other 2 don't make the same choices of the first. I'm speaking as a mother.
The military demanded a lot of me and I gave all I had to give but, I had understanding leadership and they were empathetic to the needs of my son. As a nation, should we learn to become and accept that we may have to go on PAUSE when we as other working women understand that sometime, we need to say "I need a few hours to take my child to the Doctor, go to a PTA meetings, etc." There's so many other aspirations that Mrs. Palin could have chosen to do but, I'm sorry to say that I just can't accept or understand this candidate being truly thought to be Vice President of the United States!
I say this not to display Partisanship. I say this as a mother that still regret some absent hours spent in my Special Needs child life as well as my 20 year old son.
I understand country first! I get it!! But, when you become a MOTHER, I've learned that it's the GREATER responsibility.
If I'm off base, anyone out there please feel free to enlighten this FEMALE VETERAN WARRIOR!

i know many of you are probably not even dreaming about going to school during the summer. however, ohio is one of 9 key swing states. it is up to us to bring out the youth vote like it hasn't been done in years. i am here to be with everyone else in canvassing, phonebanking, holding rallys and whatever else it takes to get the senator elected. we should be bouncing ideas off of one another to try to make a push during the summer going into the convention.
if u have any questions email me here or at

Can somone tell me what to say to this group????? They insist that since Sen Clinton supporters won't help back Sen Obama in 2008, they will never support Sen Clinton in her bid wheter it's 2012 or 2016. We have to unite now or we never will. It's just amazing how many selfish people are out there and not thinking of what's best for the Democratic Party... I'm fed up with POLITICS.
