We have to raise more money for Obama. The stakes have risen., and we can not afford to loose this time. We have to put as much as we could afford into this campaign and invest in our future, our children's future, and the future of this country.
I respect John McCain as a war vet, but he is not suited to help us with our current economic situation. we are in the beginnings of a recession and john McCain offers gimmicks instead of solutions to win this election and devastate working families.
We have to put as much money as we can for the sake of our survival in the next four years
Wow! Central New Yorkers sure are hearty! 27 volunteers traelled from Utica, Oswego, Cortland, Big Flats and Ithaca to canvass in Scranton on Saturday- no huricane could hold them back.It seems like almost every car had 3 or 4 passengers, so the carpooling worked out well and I know that it's always fun to meet people who share the same ideals. I must say that Obama supporters are really a great crowd! It's what got me so drawn into this campaign.
Bill, the Scranton Field Director, said that this was one of the best days they've had and was incredibly impressed with the good sporots that everyone maitained. I can take no credit. THANK YOU to all who made this trip and for braving the weather. Though rain is not ideal for comfort, it actually makes for a better canvass in that everyone is at home, perhaps watching the news and thinking that low-road attack politics policy is not a substitue for an actual platform with solutions.
This trip was not well publicized and came right after Labor Day. I am hopeful that for the next two trips our numbers will be at least doubled. If our numbers are suffieceint , then we may get a bus (buses). It about 90% that we're heading to Scranton Wilkes-Barre, but that also depends on the size of our group and what is happening on the ground in PA. I am working on supporter housing and will try to update the evnt page as the details get solidified

Sarah more experience then Obama?
Obama was a state legistlator for 8 years representing Chicago, a city of 2.8 mililion. while governor Palin represented 5000 for 8 years. for the last three years Senator obama represented 12.8 million people of Illinois while Palin for the last 2 years represented the 680,000 of Alaska. Obama may have a small amount of international experience, but Palin has NO international and no National experience what so ever.
This is a real picture of the "CONSERVATIVE" alaska governor.
Now I am a hardcore libral but no politician should dress like this. Especially if you want to be the leader of the free world. In times of economic crisis, in times of mortgage crisis, in times of energy crisis. This is an OUTRAGE!
I am a 64-year old Democrat who has held her breath through the five Republican terms in my life: Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush I, Bush II. I'm so excited to be able to vote for and hopefully see in office, the next Democratic president of my time.
Barack Obama is a breath of fresh air in these decades of Republican stagnancy and deceit. He is honest, intelligent and caring. He has the best attributes that a president should have. I look forward to this January when he takes office and works to transform our government.
Hopefully, he'll have the Congress behind him. There is so much to be done. Whatever I can do in my limited way, I'm ready to go!!
Yes We Can!!!
We have made history tonight!!!
Let us keep this going until November and make a real change in this country. Remember, every government from your town council to our national government is only as strong as those that support it!!!
We Can!!!
OK, I am a radiologic technologist. That is a fancy term to say I work in a hospital taking X-rays, performing CT's and Mammograms and generally helping doctors diagnose their patients. I work my butt off full time, I take call after hours, I pour my heart and soul into making sure my patients know I am doing the very best job I know how to help them. Then I get home and stack yet another medical bill onto the pile. That's right, I work at a HOSPITAL and I have health insurance but my health insurance creates more bills than I think it's worth sometimes. I have four sons at home who have their own unique health issues. Thank God that none of them are serious life risking issues, but issues all the same. One has asthma, another ADHD, and two have allergies. Between the four my monthly co-pays for their medication is a whopping $240.00!!! That doesn't include any Dr. visit co-pays or my husband or I. Just their monthly medications. It also doesn't include the bi-monthly premium that comes out of my check. We don't have any other options though because, we make to much money for state help or even Child Health Plus because my job offers health insurance. It's all a little ridiculous to me somedays. I mean, I wouldn't even consider us to be middle class. Last year we earned $36,000. We have six people in our family! That hardly put enough food on the table with two of the four being teenagers. So every day I pray that somehow the Democrats in this country will finally find a way to pull together. We have to. I need to believe in the Hope that my hard work is not for nothing, that my children will know that the people in this country can look out for one another, can see injustice and make it right.
