After the polls close tonight, here's the next step: Grow The Hope <http://www.growthehope.org>
For so many of us the Obama campaign has inspired us to hope for a better future and engage in the political process to make change possible. We know that something special is happening in this campaign. We feel it. We experience it personally and share this profound and moving feeling with others.
We celebrate this special moment and continue our work to elect Barack Obama the next president of the United States. The final day of this historic campaign is crucial to our success. We will canvass, phone bank, and organize until the polls close. While we keep focused on the prize - electing a smart and moral man as the next president of the United States, we also feel moved to do what we can to nurture the hope that has built within this campaign and within many of us. Thus we begin the process of building Grow The Hope - a people's movement for progressive social change. We seek to capture the spark of creativity and hope that has come alive during this campaign. If you are interested, please join us. Explore the brief introductory website at: http://www.growthehope.org and sign up by giving us your contact information. As this movement unfolds we will reach out to you.
Those of us working on Grow The Hope are so busy with the campaign that we don't yet have complete answers about what's next. We have not yet determined our organizational structure, programmatic initiatives, or funding options. If you get involved now, you can help shape the future direction of this emerging movement. At this point, we urge all those interested to take one minute to sign up, spread the word, and get back to working on the campaign! Let's do all we can this final crucial day of the campaign to make sure that we can celebrate on November 4th. Then on November 5th, let's take a day of well deserved rest. On November 6th, let's be back in touch to see how we might join together and Grow the Hope.

Dear Barack supporters, I have been really freaked out about the hate and hate speech that has surfaced in the last two weeks. Today, things have gotten more violent. We need leadership NOW. Questions about Obama's character and race, etc. have been thrown out there by McCain/Palin. Who answers those questions? McCain and Palin. The silent response, to what many Americans may think are legitamite concerns, is quickly filled by the media.
A leader is going to have to put politics aside and treat ALL American's questions as legit, no matter how backwards, ignorant etc. the questions may be. It not only educates many people, but it also shows great respect for all American's. Not responding, like Gore and Kerry did, is because of a dated democrat party standard: we are above such pettiness. This is a patroning stance we can not afford. This is an opportunity to talk to all Americans, the so called ignorant ones and the elite ones! A more perfect chance, to reach the so-called hillbilly Americans, we may not get again. Not responding immediately and definatively, aids the speculation that is advanced through the media and undermines our unity and focus. I have never experienced this much incendiary hate speech in an election before, so I am looking to my community, which affects my response. Democrats, please find a new way to respond to smear tactics and outright lies, a way that actually works. I'm tired of republican rule and the old school, rise above tactic, has simply never worked. There are more than two ways to campaign. Where are our leaders? I also want to address the growing violence. This is a decisive moment for all humanity. Please do not resort to any unlawful acts. And please report all unlawful acts, even if you may think, oh, it's just a yard sign stolen. If you do not report unlawful acts, even if you think they are minor, you are in fact stealing evidence that could be used in a legitamite way. Yes, it's a pain in the butt, but every little things adds to our case in our fight against corruption in politics. For example, if I recieved a vague complaint from a customer about my employee, I'd take it seriously and keep my eyes open. The second and third time I recieved a complaint about the same employee, I'd have to consider termination, even if the complaints were vague. Okay, maybe not after the second complaint. My point is that it often takes multiple examples of proof, the result of multiple pieces of evidence, to make a strong case. You never know when or where that evidence may be needed. The actual reporting of crimes, both petty and grand, if God forbid we need it, may be as great a contribution to democracy as a donation. Please report all unlawful acts relating to support of Obama, and pass on the message to your friends, family and communities. If you would like to investigate further, I have added these examples of the violence I am refering to, please read, they will shock you into action.
Oh! Get out the vote!
These are in response to a report that a McCain supporter was attacked by an Obama supporter.
"I Have a house full of firearms. I have a Weatherby 270, two 22 cal rifles, three shotguns “12 and 20 gauge” and a glock model 30 45 cal I carry everywhere. I have a conceal carry permit. Trust me, these obamatons are nothing but thugs and thives and crack whores. They are also weak liberal homosexual white men and lazy entitlement minded white women. Obama will lose on 11/4. The Joe the Plumber revelation which exposed Obama for the socialist he is will be his undoing. I plan on being loaded up after 11/4 and in prtection mode. I expect the blacks to riot because of ocurse they are all animals. Let them riot. I am not afraid. Big mistake to attack me is all I can say."
"unfortunately WallMart doesn't sell guns anymore otherwise. Otherwise I would buy one."
"My advice is, go to WalMart and buy a gun. Regardless of who wins this election trouble is going to erupt, particularly in urban areas.Don’t carry it around with you like some nut but keep it in your home in a secure place and learn how to use it to protect yourself and your family. Here in Baltimore the natives are already getting restless and agitated."
"God forbid Barak Hussein Obama becomes our president. If so it will only encourage these haters into more violence!"
"In all honesty - I’m afraid to have my Obama sign in my yard."
"The Obama campaign is the dirtiest and most racist in history."

"In an television appearance that outraged Democrats are already describing as Joseph McCarthy politics, Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann claimed on Friday that Barack Obama and his wife Michelle held anti-American views and couldn't be trusted in the White House. She even called for the major newspapers of the country to investigate other members of Congress to "find out if they are pro-America or anti-America."

Take this one with a grain of salt, democracy now is very biased to the left. But there is audio of the commander of the army training unit you can listen to yourself, and the law was furtively changed to enable a martial law situation. Fact.
A Conservative for Obama: My party has slipped its moorings.
It’s time for a true pragmatist to lead the country.
Leading Off By Wick Allison, EDITOR IN CHIEF
Conservatism to me is less a political philosophy than a stance, a recognition of the fallibility of man and of man’s institutions. Conservatives respect the past not for its antiquity but because it represents, as G.K. Chesterton said, the democracy of the dead; it gives the benefit of the doubt to customs and laws tried and tested in the crucible of time. Conservatives are skeptical of abstract theories and utopian schemes, doubtful that government is wiser than its citizens, and always ready to test any political program against actual results. This a very positive sign that Americans of all backgounds and political persuasions can come together around Obama's steadfast leadership.

Obama / Biden '08 .... the change we need.
A Veteran for Obama.
.... Close is only good for horseshoes and hand grenades.
All,
Barack is winning over conservatives in greater numbers than usual.
Christopher Buckley, the son of the late conservative icon William F. Buckley, said Friday he's decided to back Barack Obama's White House bid, the first time in his life he will vote Democrat.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/10/10/a-buckley-endorses-obama/
Barack delivered a very strong performance in the last debate.
McCain's V.P. pick of Palin marginalized his chances for the White House leaving the Republican ticket with only Two political tools left, character assassination of Obama and Biden and making promises you cannot keep.
Its time to press our advantage.
Lets seal the deal and deliver real change to the White House.
Lets re-double our efforts to win this race.
Please donate what you can afford Nwow on my fundraising page and I'll match it.

Obama/Biden '08 ..... Hope and a new direction !
A Veteran for Obama
Thanks for all you do for Barack, Michelle and Joe.
Recently, I had a very un-pleasent reminder that racism still lurks in our country.
I'm a second generation Italian American that lives and works in the Greater Boston Area ... a relatively progressive part of the country. I have proudly displayed my Veterans for Obama sticker on my vehicle for nearly a year. While driving to a store over this weekend with my Youngest (11 Year old) and Oldest (22 Year Old) daughters as passengers we reached a traffic jam. A White Cadillac behind us starts honking and at first I thought it was just someone being impatient ...then the driver of the White Cadillac starts screaming obscenities .... referring to Barack Obama with the dreaded N***** word. This went on for a couple of minutes and my oldest daughter was about to lose her cool, wanting to respond (Heck ...I wanted to respond).... then I told her not to respond ... that the driver a middle aged nordic looking fellow wanted attention and was trying to intimidate us. After Three minutes more of these obscenities ... the driver drove off.
I have had the rewarding experience of working along side Americans of every ethnicity and backgrounds in both my military and professional career.
It saddens me deeply that ignorance and racism still lurks in the country I love so much. After 35 years I still don't understand what motivates this kind of behavior ... especially from people who profess to be christians ?
We are all brothers and sisters .... it's time to Move our country forward.
We must succeed in delivering new and progressive leadership in our country at all levels of government. Beyond sending Barack Obama and Joe Biden to the White House we need a democratic majority in both the House and Senate to secure a progressive agenda for all Americans.
Barack the Vote !
"The republicans win by throwing the first punch. They win by not being defensive. And they win by not punching back. They always start the attack, and follow it up until you cry uncle and admit defeat. They don't get in a defensive posture, mainly because one has to be attacked first in order to defend ones self. And they certainly never go over and over and over what their opponent's talking points are in a whiny, silly attempt to defend ones self!""Go, OBAMA, go!! Take them down with those one liner's your so good at. Why does your opponent keep attacking you? Because it works. They win the news cycle and make you look weak because now you have to defend yourself or come off as looking weak. Where are those brilliant come backs? Those one liners that shut them up and make them look stupid! To win the news cycle is to win the day!!"
The first time we lost to Bush was an outrage. They lied and cheated and stole and WON.
The second time we lost to Bush was ridiculous, to know that that many people actually voted for Bush and not Kerry. It was absurd. It was a time of great cynicism in politics and America and the future.
The third time we lose to Bush? I will be so angry at the Democrats for being given the white house on a silver platter. And still losing. I was angry the first two times. Every time I hear about some Republican outrage ( Iraq, Iran, the constitution, the federal corporate bail outs, the lies and indifference about the economy, etc., etc.) I get more cynical and disillusioned. Are there really that many people in this country that don't know a terrorist from a Muslim?
To put salt on the wound is the fact that we now know that they stole the 2000 election. We now know they sanctioned torture. We know that there were no weapons of mass destruction and THERE NEVER WERE. We know that Carl Rove and Cheney bullied the press into passively going along with their outing of Valerie Plame. We know that they wiretapped us illegally. And WE let them. So whose to blame for the sad state of affairs? And we seriously wonder why there are so many disenchanted, apathetic youth in this country? Maybe because they see Republicans lying and us Democrats hoping that if we fight for what is right, that people will be drawn and inspired to us. UM...newsflash! This is not working!
Democrats, heck even Republicans are angry at the way this country has been mishandled. We're frustrated.
It's time to teach the world how to win the good fight. Democrats say, don't attack a woman, it's un presidential for the presidential candidate to go after the vice president, people are tired of division and scare tactics. Well, have fun losing another election to a bunch of lying thugs.
Why is it wrong to expose Republicans of all their wrong doing? Why do we think that we can beat them on the issues when the average American on the street doesn't know what Obama's stance on taxes is? Why do we stubbornly stick to the issues and only the issues when no one listens? Have these last eight years really taught us that little? We are tired and angry and fed up. We have not waited this long to see another gentlemanly debate about issues. We want to see them sweat. Heck, after all the money the campaign has raised, you owe it to your supporters to at least go down swinging. This is not some academic historical exercise.
So what do I suggest? Change the topic, please!! Before it's too late. Make this campaign about their failures, not personal attacks, or underhanded viciousness. There are a bazillion ways to show the Republicans' mistakes in a honest, straightforward, no nonsense way. Barak did it during his convention speech. The crowd loved it when he took a punch. It was a punch for all of us who have had to simmer on the sidelines. And it felt good! The crowd loved it. The press loved it.
How is this election going to be won? By who wins the news cycle. Their attacks are going to get more vicious because the press and public are loving it. And they have always worked. Always.
Go, OBAMA, go!! Take them down with those one liner's your so good at. Why does your opponent keep attacking you? Because it works. They win the news cycle and make you look weak because now you have to defend yourself or come off as looking weak. Where are those brilliant come backs? Those one liners that shut them up and make them look stupid! To win the news cycle is to win the day!!The republicans win by throwing the first punch. They win by not being defensive. And they win by not punching back. They always start the attack, and follow it up until you cry uncle and admit defeat. They don't get in a defensive posture, mainly because one has to be attacked first in order to defend ones self. And they certainly never go over and over and over what their opponent's talking points are in a whiny, silly attempt to defend ones self!
Oh, and don't underestimate Palin's ability to hold her own in a debate or interview. She can't be worse than Bush and he beat Gore AND Kerry.
True bridges or a path to Nowhere ... We Decide ?
Barack Obama has been building true bridges across party lines to rally the American people
to Unite and solve the pressing problems a corrupt Republican administration has left us.
If you listened to McCain's and Palin's acceptance speeches at the Republican convention you get a sense
that they are completely out of touch with reality and that they have lived the last Seven years in some other country. Maybe they just came from that bridge to Nowhere ?
Reality Check:
Unemployment is at 6.1 percent
Approximately 9.1 percent of American household mortgages are in foreclosure.
American Lives Lost in Iraq: 4155
Approximate Iraqi Lives lost: 1,255,026
Lets not forget that McCain and Palin's party exploited the tragedy of 9/11 with Lies and propaganda into supporting their plan to occupy a soveriegn nation ... not unlike .... the Russian incursion in Georgia. They have Systematically bankrupted the American economic system by offshoring American Jobs. A party that has proven its incompetence time and time again. From its failure to capture Bin Laden and shutdown Alqaeda to its economic policies by bleeding the Middleclass of jobs and the travesty of Katrina.
But worst of all they have been partially successful in perveting some of our long held American values.
American's have never condoned torture .... until Iraq !
Stripped American's of their Civil Rights with the Patriot Act.
Honesty, Telling the truth to the American people rather than lying and distorting the facts for a political agenda.
One of the worst traits of the Republican party is that it worships Two Gods ...... Power and Money.
Lets make no mistake about it .... their is a Huge amount of political patronage at stake from Haliburton to Exxon and McCain and Palin will say anything to keep their political patrons flush with cash.
We need Energy Independence A.S.A.P .... We have put our national security at risk by allowing ourselves to be held hostage by the Oil Cartels ..... this kind of political patronage must stop !
McCain voted with Bush 95 % of the time ... even on issues he denounced in his acceptance speech at the Republican convention. How could we possibly trust somebody with that kind of a record.
The only Bridge McCain and Palin will build is truly a bridge to Nowhere in which the Middle Class continues to lose its homes, livelyhood and in some instance our very lives to pursue their wars.
We need true reform ... not empty promises from Fat Cat ..double talking Republicans that put money and power before the Best interests of the vast majority of American people who struggle to survive in a country that has lost its "Moral High Ground" in this world. In a different era people would call these kinds of people for what they truly are .... traitors to our country.
Obama and Biden are funded by You and Me ... the average American citizen ... not some Corporate lobbyists with a Big Business agenda to offshore our labor.
All we ask in return is Affordable Health Care, Job Opportunities, A healthy economy and environment and leadership that takes its obligation to protect and Defend the Constitution of our United States ... seriously.
We have a very tough road to travel and Barack Obama and Joe Biden have the Vision and experience to point us all in a direction that will create a brighter future for our children and their children.
Its Time for a New Politics that truly serves all its people ... not just the privileged few.
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
Obama/Biden ..... Hope and a new direction.

Hello friends,
From the heart of Europe one weblog is supporting Barack Obama since February 2007. In that month Barack started his campaign in Springfield.
Now this weblog is growing very fast. It is fighting for a top 10 position in the political blogs of Belgium.
Help us to kick this weblog into the top 10!

Results of the DNC Rules Committee:They seated both FL and MI Delegates with Half Votes and the New number to win the Democratic Nomination is 2118.
Barack has 2051 and needs 67 Votes for the Nomination
Hillary has 1877 and needs 241 Votes for the Nomination
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/31/dems.delegates/index.html
Thanks to all of you for the remarkable restraint this campaign showed at the DNC's Rules Committee meeting yesterday.
All of our hard work and financial support for Barack is about to payoff.
Its time to discuss what strategies will be effective in beating McCain this Fall ?
Gobama !
Now is the time to make donations and bolster Obama's momentum. Clinton got a boost from Pennsylvania and we do not want her to get momentum. She is low on cash and owes lots of money so let's keep Barack holding the upper hand!
My offer, If anyone donates $10.00 or more to my Obama fundraising, I will send them a beautiful metal Obama button that shows a smiling Obama with the capitol building behind him! These are really nice buttons and it is my way of trying to help our candidate.
Best to all,
Arry
~::~ I am experiencing a bit of frustration.
I created a group when I joined this website... but it has not even been *approved* yet.
I have sent in the request 3 times for my group to be approved... *Nothing!*
The name of my group is 'All Green Enlightenment Beings For Obama.'
This group is for persons trying to live the wholistic green lifestyle,
animal rights, and persons who like meditation and
yoga towards becoming Enlightened... who support Barack Obama! But, I am being completely ignored
by the Staff here. WHY are they discriminating against
me, and other like~hearted Barack Obama supporters? WHY???
There are many 'very unique' groups here for fans of specific TV shows and movies,
and cartoon characters, purple people, cats and dogs, marijuana, etc... and I am
glad that they are *approved groups*. But, WHY is my group not *Approved*???
I feel quite hurt... Should we create another way to organize, talk and share...
and perhaps create meaningful like~hearted friendships? Yahoo Group? ~::~
Tomorrow: March 19, 2008 will Mark the 5th Year of Occupation in iraq.
I think some clear reflection is needed on this milestone.
Iraq Coalition Casualties
There have been 4,296 coalition deaths -- 3,990 Americans, two Australians, 175 Britons, 13 Bulgarians, one Czech, seven Danes, two Dutch, two Estonians, one Fijian, one Hungarian, 33 Italians, one Kazakh, one Korean, three Latvian, 22 Poles, three Romanians, five Salvadoran, four Slovaks, 11 Spaniards, two Thai and 18 Ukrainians -- in the war in Iraq as of March 18, 2008, according to a CNN count. At least 29,395 U.S. troops have been wounded in action, according to the Pentagon. http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2003/iraq/forces/casualties/ Civilian Casualties The Iraqi Civilian and Insurgents death estimates range from 665,000 - 1.4 Million depending on your source. No Weapons of Mass Destruction have ever been found in IRAQ. No connection has ever been made between the terrorist group "Alqaeda" led by Bin Laden and IRAQ led by Saddam Hussein (a former Ally of this country under the Reagan administration). No Iraqi citizen had been involved in the Air Hijackings and destruction caused on 9/11 yet at least a Half Million have perished since our arrival in Iraq. So I can see why a Rev. Jeremiah Wright would lash out in anger over what has been done in our name as U.S. Citizens. Rev. Wright had been a proud U.S. Marine in his youth. I'm not much for prayer, but I pray that we can find in our hearts and our heads to do the Right Thing in this election. To vote in leadership that understood at the outset that our actions in Iraq has solved nothing and has made us weaker as a nation. Please take a moment to reflect on those who have perished and have been wounded. Lets work together to end this soon. Veteran for Obama
I've included a link to an ABC news story on Hillary's record when she was on the board of directors of WalMart for 6 years from 1986 through 1992.
The story mentions that Hillary's campaign biography and memoirs make no mention of the fact that Hillary served on the board of directors for WalMart for 6 years. It tells you something about her character that she now chooses to attempt to hide this inconvenient aspect of her record and her experience.
The simple fact is that in 1986 Hillary chose to spend her time working to help WalMart. In 1986, Barack Obama was working as "a community organizer with a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment." You decide who has the better record, who has the better judgment, and who you can trust to tell you the truth.

Thanks Mark from Lexington, MA
We smoked her good in both Wyoming and Mississippi !
A little insight into the Mississippi Contest. Approximately 15% of Republican's or Right leaning Independents voted for Hillary and over 50% of her voters did not find her trustworthy.
Still Obama beat Clinton by approximately 22 points.
Recent statistics indicate that Obama can beat McCain while Hillary is likely to lose against him in the general. Its a good bet a percentage of her support are voters that will vote for McCain in the General and are attempting to help her win the Democratic nomination only to support McCain in the general.
Its urgent that Obama win the nomination !
Please contribute to my fundraising page and I will match what you contribute dollar for dollar.
Fired Up and ready to go ! Go Obama Go !
