ATTEST:
SECRETARY OF STATE
Barack, I want to tell you... The William Ayers is comming for this tuesday's debate. Scream out with force and vigor and tell McCain, "ENOUGH." American can't afford 4 more years of the same policies that is an extension of the last 8 years contrived by a Bush Administration. A Bush administration, like your campaign, that sat there telling the American people they were worried about American jobs and main street problems, LIES. That you are telling people you are all about working accross the isle in a bipartisan effort; LIES. America can not afford 4 more years of this nonsense. Enough, John McCain, Enough.
This "liquidity crisis" was patent back in September of 2007. We then discussed whether it was a real liquidity crisis or confidence crisis, but that was just an academic exercise. The point is that what happened last week and prompted the President' "There is nothing to fear... Fear!!! Panic!!! Oh my god we all are going to die", speech is nothing new.
The timing of this latest crisis, however, is interesting. The financial industry, who benefited of the current administration policies, and has deep ties with the McCain group, put a gun to the legislative branch head and threaten with pulling the trigger if it did not receive "a really large amount of money" (their words) right before the elections, forcing a rapid decision in front of a scared public. This was, by the way, the same tactic used to force the country into the Iraq war.
There was a message circulating some of our groups in Florida yesterday that spread incorrect information conerning the the ID needed to vote. We're going to clarify below.
A message from the Florida Campaign for Change chief election lawyer:
I am the Obama-Biden campaign’s chief election lawyer in Florida, and I have received the 'no match no vote' message from several sources. This message is categorically false. Our reading of the clear statutory language does NOT require that the address on the driver’s license (or other ID) that the voter presents at the polls match the voter’s address in the precinct register. Furthermore, this press release from the Florida Secretary of State definitively ccnfirms:http://www.dos.state.fl.us/news/communications/pressRelease/pressRelease.cfm?id=330 See the last bullet:· I.D. required and checked at the polls is used solely to confirm the voter’s identity. Not to verify the voter’s ID number or address. The photograph on the ID is compared to the person standing before the poll worker and the signature on the ID is compared to the signature on record.

If you are expecting that a Pink Wardrobe Malfunction or other such public calamity will obliterate any future political chances for Sarah Palin (and yes, I am talking to you, who has hopes she will do poorly during the debate), leave all your hopes. Now!
If all the negative attention the poor choice for VP has not impacted negatively the campaign, it is difficult anything will hurt it later.
The reason is pathetic in its simplicity. It is based on two fallacies. The first one, is a broad generalization saying that about 5% of the Christians are "The Christians", with that simple trick they created the "Cultural Wars".
There is no cultural war, most people don't care about abortion and definitively don't think that abortion should be forbidden. Most people go about their religious beliefs quietly and intimately. However, when presented with the false dichotomy of "Christian beliefs against Ungodly beliefs" they can be swayed, and that's understandable.
The other issue at which the Republican propaganda apparatus has been successful at is characterizing any criticizing media outlet as "liberal media". That's an old rhetoric trick called "poisoning the well". Of course, every argument that uses a "poisoned well" is a fallacious argument: by definition can not be true, even if it is consistent (or sound logical).
The more the press uncovers about Palin, the strongest the "true followers" will feel about their beliefs. The true followers, for that matter, amount to 5% of the eligible voters (maybe less).
Am I suggesting a hands off approach? Am I saying the press should stop researching a candidate to the Vice Presidency? Not at all. I just doubt that more information is going to provide any way to convince the fanatics and it may even move people on the fences towards the fanatical Christian field in support of a fellow Christian.
What I think at this point is that the focus should be on policy and issues. In other words, let's focus on the plot of the drama and not on the characters. If we fail, we may have to relive the past four years.
I'm waiting for the Bomb to drop on the Ballot Box. They now know the real number of paper traced ballots. When are they going to find that the computer chips are flawed. Where special interests have designed the flaws into the system for years and this is the first time real paper trails have shown the difference. The count in paper is real and the count error is in cyberspace.
I sent an email to my Congressman and Obama Vice Chairman, Rob Wexler. Our county was the humiliation of the 2000 election (maybe Al Gore really won) and eight years later we can't get a local election tallied correctly. Part of my message to Rep. Wexler says:
Happy Birthday Barack. I hope that in this 47th year you will be happy, healthy, successful, and may you celebrate many more birthdays. Most importantly I know you will be inaugurated as the POTUS in January, also as part of your 47th year!!!!
The best to you and your family!!!!
Enjoy the day and celebrate!!!!
