Shortly after the House of Representatives concluded tonight's vote on health insurance reform, President Obama released the following statement:
Tonight, in an historic vote, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would finally make real the promise of quality, affordable health care for the American people.The Affordable Health Care for America Act is a piece of legislation that will provide stability and security for Americans who have insurance; quality affordable options for those who don’t; and bring down the cost of health care for families, businesses, and the government while strengthening the financial health of Medicare. And it is legislation that is fully paid for and will reduce our long-term federal deficit.Thanks to the hard work of the House, we are just two steps away from achieving health insurance reform in America. Now the United States Senate must follow suit and pass its version of the legislation. I am absolutely confident it will, and I look forward to signing comprehensive health insurance reform into law by the end of the year.

According to Wikipedia: President Obama garnered 69,556,897 votes and Senator Mccain got 59,934,814 votes.
We have 435 elected house of representatives, and We have 100 United States Senators.
We have 60 Democrats or Democratic Leaning Senators in the Senate.
President Obama is a very smart and Brilliant President and He knows that he has to get the 60 Senators on Board, so instead of just leaving it up to the 60, Our President is taking the Health Insurance Reform fight straight to the Insurance Companies themselves by way of American People's living rooms and kitchen tables.
We need to broaden our focus.
We need to go after the offending Insurance companies with the same tenacity, resilience and persistence we used when we went after Wall street. We need to call them daily and ask them why are they dropping or revoking people insurance policies whenever they are getting sick? and Why are they trying to undermind and disrupt the town hall meetings with "fronter groups" that rile-up some mccain/palin voters with hatred and wrong information and then send them out to the democrats town hall meeting to shut them down and shout them down.
We need to ask the Rougist Insurance Companies are they for US or Against US?
We will not let the ROGUE Insurance Companies continue to short-change the American People, we don't care how many Pre-Paid senators that they have got tucked away in their slick, dirty-little , greasly or is it grassley "my little finger is in the dike" back pocket?
We don't want the Insurance Companies making medical decisions for us?
We don't want "Them" The "ROUGERS" making loads of money off of the sick people that they have dropped, rejected, tricked, and then denied.
Is there a list of the Pre- Paiders/Senators who have taken money from the Roguers/insurance Companies that are fighting against the Success of the American People EVER receiving Health Insurance Reform?
P.S. All of the Insurance Companies like AARP and others are not against the American People Insurance Reform Bill but we all know that one spoiled apple Always rotten the the entire bunch.
This Admistration is really working on behalf of the American People.
WoW...There are So many Americans without Health Insurance. It is a shame that some elected officials are not insterested in the plight of the Uninsured.I just spent a few hours reading ( I made it to page 363, of course I had to take a break in between pages) some of the American people health challenges, storys/life challenges on the health blog and It was very heart rendering to hear/read about their horrendous plights/experiences.
If these Great Americans Life Stores don't change the minds and hearts of some fo the "fence stragglers" in office, then I don't know what will?

Wow. American Express must be getting desperate. In a bid to RID itself of customers, Amex will give you a $300 prepaid credit card if you cancel your account. According to CreditMattersBlog, it is offering the deal under the guise of enabling customers to "simplify" their finances.
I sure hope that they get a bailout deal from the American People.

Regardless of the congress feeling reticent about the BRIDGE LOANS (not bail-out) that Detroit's Big 3 is requesting, they MUST provide the loans and keep the industry from dissolving. This morning's job loss numbers for November 2008 are astoundingly high, 533,000, putting our nation's unemployment rate at 6.7%. That's up from October's 6.5%. THERE HAS BEEN 1.9 MILLION JOBS LOSS THIS YEAR AND DECEMBER HAS THREE WEEKS TO GO...Congress should immediately put safeguards in place and distribute the loan money. They can then work with the Obama Administration to retool at least one division of each auto plant to immediately begin manufacturing the rails, rail cars, engines, etc. to build our much needed High-Speed Railways (HSR). Obama and Biden can have the Governors of states like CA, FL, IL and other Mid and Northwestern regions that have already been working with transportation engineers and have plans ready to go, to put out Request for Proposals (RFP). The states can begin to get their construction, transportation, education/training, fleet & city service companies prepared for hiring thousands of workers across the nation. The technology already exists and is currently being used here in CA, but not widely used enough. We need to build thousands of CNG fueling stations across America along with switching over all public and commercial transportation vehicles. The CNG stations should be built to include the wiring for future cars that will be battery driven. This project will put people back to work immediately. Here's some examples: combination CNG station & convenience stores, restaurants, catering & food services; CNG buses, vans and taxi cab lines for connecting HSR services; training centers, shopping centers and entertainment centers along all of the HSR lines. These lists can go on and on. There are thousands of jobs to be created and sought but we the people must demand that action is taken now. We cannot afford to wait until P.E. Obama takes office in January.

AGAIN...I've read several negative blogs about Obama's cabinet choices over the past few days. Lots of supporters are now questioning Barack's judgement and stating regret for believing and voting for change.As a fellow Obama supporter I'm asking those of you who doubt or dislike Barack's choices to take a step back and give him room to work for our nation. Whether you like or dislike the people he is beginning this journey with, there is no question that the Clinton Administration was very successful on most levels. The Obama/Biden team needs the knowledge and guidance of those who lead in the past so that they can modify and update 19th century processes, policies and procedures and build a functioning government for the 21st century. You cannot build a better bridge without knowledge of the workings from the old crumbling one, unless you don't care what you are going to build.Barack Obama and Joe Biden have proven all of the nay-sayers wrong so far and have proven to everyone who supports them that they are smart. Give them a chance to lead before you knock the knowledge building process that must be done before building success!
