This letter was meant to send to you Guys Wednesday night, due to the fact that McCain had suspended his campaign, I was a little bit reluctant. After concluded that there are two main reasons for his move, I decided to post it on my blog and to send it to you anyways. First the national polls show that Senator Obama has been on a steady rise since last week, so McCain is trying to create distraction. Second it is also a way to have his VP nominee to get more coaching time, for the vice presidential debate.
Of course we are in a dire crisis, congress and the white house have to come up with a solution to fix that mess, however John Mc Cain move is nothing less than an act of desperation. As Senator Obama stated “this is exactly the time when we need to hear from the person who will be the next president, it is going to be part of the president's job to deal with more than one thing at once”. So supended a campaign, and tried to cancel the debate, that is senseless. As we are all aware, McCain is the most absentee in the Senate, suddenly he wants to get credit by trying to cancel the debate, if they don’t reach a solution for the bailout, - Give me a break.
Thanks Goodness Senator Obama is a very intelligent man; he accepted Bush’s invitation to be there. Sorry Mr. McCain the credit that you’re trying to get won’t work; we all understand your move, we won’t get distracted. The debate has to move forward.
Anyways, here is my letter:

Just to remind you that the last day to register to vote is October 6th (10/06). We have less than forty days until the Election Day, yet there are lots of people out there who love Obama who are not yet registered or never registered to vote. I recently met two people who are Obama supporters, and they were telling me how they could not wait to see Obama in the office, however, they’ve never registered to vote, after talking to them and explained to them how one vote makes a difference, they understood and decided to register, and I had the chance to register them myself. Although you might not be able to have voter registration forms with you, but you could advise people to go to their local government offices such as DMV, Public Libraries, Public Assistance Offices, College Registrar’s Offices, and get the applications or they could also register on line: http://my.barackobama.com/vfc www.VoteForChange.com I’m encouraging you to make a difference, go out there, don’t be afraid to talk to your friends, ask them to talk to their friends, family, neighbors and advise them where to go, to register to vote.
Early voting has already started in some States such as Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Virginia, if you have friends and family members who live there, call them and remind them to go and vote early to avoid standing in long lines. Also, don’t forget to watch the presidential debates, invite your friends and supporters, have a debate watch party. The debate will help the people who are still undecided to hear directly from the senator where he stands on the issues that are main concerned to the middle class, such as health care, education, taxes, ECT.

Being mindful of my language I have something else to say. I am a 60 years old a grown man. I volunteered for service during the Vietnam War and served my country honorably. I worked for forty-five years before retiring. I spent six hours today on the back of my D31 dozer clearing 16 acres I just bought to build my last home (A green home off the grid). I am not a racist or a bigot or a hypocrite I am what I consider a freeborn American Citizen leaning toward redneck. I feel I have as many rights as the next citizen. With 60 years of survival behind me I feel I have the right to say what is on my mind. I have never been one to hold my tongue. Sometimes this brings me success and other times failure. But you never have to wonder what is on my mind, if you ask, I will tell you.
I have dedicated my life to ending the War On US (drugs) I have seen the destruction it is causing this country. Like the cops from the LEAP website say (a 10,000 strong police site) there motto is, “Drug abuse is bad. The War on Drugs is Worse.” I just watched a video that featured our present drug czar. The lies continue I think sometimes if I where him, would I forfeit my job and power to admit the drug war is a failure? Waste 100 billion a year, is filling the jails with our good non-violent fellow citizens, is causing mothers to lose their children, ruining hundreds of thousands of our young peoples lives, enslaves one in three blacks, also a disproportionate number of Hispanics. Men in there 60s+ are losing land passed down through three generations, children are lied to and they know it! Sick people are denied medicine prescribed by a doctor; these people say marijuana helps them with their daily problems. Our police at one time sworn to, “Protect and Serve”, are now told to, “Punish and Enslave.” For a herb that we call weed, in the 60s we called it grass. Why are our leaders (house/senate) so persistent about putting us in jail? Why do they feel they have the right to over rule a vote by the people and violate states laws and rights to insist on putting us in jail?? Why are they accused of a conspiracy to undermine states rights and laws to continue the war??? I have requested to hear if our VP pick will support Barack on his promise to back off the FEDs in medical marijuana states. Where the people have spoken through their votes. I feel this is a simple request but it almost got me kicked of the Obama site. There is nothing that will stop me from voting for Barack Obama I feel his is the one. He will turn this country around and give it back to the rightful owners citizens like us. He will return the right to choose and the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Today I feel these rights do not exist unless you are rich enough to buy them. I am not rich like the majority of citizens today I struggle through life. I live with the knowledge that there is a double standard in place today. Those that can/cannot afford health care, those that can/cannot afford justice, those of us that live with the laws our leaders (house/senate) pass. And those that are or at least feel they are above them. People like Palin, McCain’s pick for VP she wants to continue the War On US (drugs) while admitting she may test positive for THC (marijuana) herself. She will still put YOUR only son or daughter in jail and ruin their life with no compassion. This sacrifice of others lives and money will insure her PAC check will clear. When are Americans going to grow some and stand up and say this is not right? This War started in 1937 to keep blacks from having sex with white women, marijuana was said to make blacks think they were as good as whites. It was for racist reasons this fact is well documented. Now our leaders (house/senate) have built a machine over the years a machine that consumes 100 billion of our dollars and 800,000 lives every year (they get their (house/senate) share of the money for sure). After 72 years it (the war) does no good (see this years drug war statistics) it cannot be won! American citizens will not conform to a law based on lies against something they feel helps them. (liquor was illegal remember?)
For, against, neutral we do no care, all we ask is quit putting us in jail and stealing our property, that is all we ask we will not bother YOU trust me. Do not believe the lies you see and hear everywhere (the normal scare tactics our leaders use) they are bought and paid for with your tax money to ensure our leaders can feed the machine with our money and lives. LEGALIZE, REGULATE, TAX BUT PLEASE STOP THE WAR ON US (drugs) We are the ones that advocate Live and Let Live, if only others felt the same way.

On the Faith Forum, McCain recently mentioned that his greatest failure in life was the ending of his first marriage. No kidding? I guess he had to admit some remorse because his ex-wife was going public with the story. How shallow can one man be? Carol McCain likes to illustrate his moral fiber by referring to his five years as a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam. And to demonstrate his commitment to family values, the 71-year- old former US Navy pilot pays warm tribute to his beautiful blonde wife, Cindy, with whom he has four children. But there is another Mrs. McCain who casts a ghostly shadow over the Senator's presidential campaign. She is seldom seen and rarely written about, despite being mother to McCain's three eldest children. She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam's infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news. But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Her car had skidded on icy roads into a telegraph pole on Christmas Eve, 1969. Her pelvis and one arm were shattered by the impact and she suffered massive internal injuries. When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter. Today, she stands at just 5' 4' in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70, her face is worn by wrinkles that speak of decades of silent suffering. Ross Perot, a billionaire Texas businessman, and a former presidential candidate, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel - even by the standards of modern politics.

Just wanted to pass along a thought and please take this in the spirit in which it is intended. I really don’t like the way in which this election is going and I’m sure you feel the same way. In fact, I’m getting sick to my stomach! Republicans are using every under-handed, lying, sneaky trick in the book to win this election and it’s been working. Every time we think we’re ahead, the Republicans throw out another lie, falsehood or attack video and the naïve American voter (of which there seems to be more) eats it up!
Now, they seem to have bullied the national media into turning on Barack Obama by giving Sarah Palin (and her husband) a total free pass on the seemingly un-ending parade of scandals and lies that follows them around every corner. Did they give Barack a free pass? How about Michelle??? Then why are we allowing the Republicans to dictate the ebb and flow of this election and letting them decide what’s off limits and what’s not???
The McCain Campaign have NO SHAME!!! They have commandeered Obama’s message of CHANGE and is now making it seem as if THEY are the ones who will bring change to Washington, even though their party is the one who has screwed it up for the past 8 years…and people are buying it!
I HAVE HAD IT!!! It’s time that we step out of the box and come out swinging! I want the Obama Campaign and the Democratic Party to stop continually being victims of the Republicans and their smear tactics and start fighting back!!! Stop REACTING and start ACTING! Enough of this talk that Joe Biden can’t look like he’s bullying Palin in the Vice Presidential debates, he needs to hit her and hit her hard!!! I’m tired of Obama reprimanding surrogates and calling attacks on Republicans off limits while they constantly pound us with never ending A-bombs! Hit them and hit them hard!!!
This is purely speculation but I honestly believe that Obama feels that if he were to get negative, that he will lose his supporters. Send the Obama campaign a message that we understand that there is a big difference between going negative with lies and going negative with the truth. Republicans have been going negative with lies, Obama has the upper hand in that he can go negative, but with the truth!
Send the Obama campaign a message that we understand his need to remain “above the fray” but we also understand the need to fight back…and he will NOT lose us!!! Obama’s VP, Joe Biden said it best, “sometimes in politics, you have to get down and dirty!” There are less than 60 days until the election, I think it’s about time!

Does anyone know if Sarah Palin has been fully vetted? If McCain only met her once ...before speaking with her on Thursday and introducing her on FRIDAY as his VP choice... When was she vetted...? Why would he choose someone that has not gone through the full process of being vetted and that already has a matter of investigation ahead of her that has NOT been settled regarding her brother-n-law?
Will the White House white washed the investigation? or is there something out there that will eventually cause her to become disqualified after the election? 60 days is not a lot of time from now to the election? After the election, McCain's strategy to try to swing the votes of the dishearted Clinton supporters will be over.. the Evangelical vote will be over.... If Sarah Palin steps down after the fact... the damage will already be done...

I'm not upset that Hillary will have the "symbolic" nomination at the convention. What disgusts me is the absence of any strong words from her to her supporters who are vowing to "make noise" at the convention. I have yet to hear her clearly and strongly say to them "Don't start any mess at the convention. Keep it civil." In fact I think in her heart of hearts she thrives on chaos and looks forward to the noise. Her self serving husband whom I've lost all respect for is even worst - a loose cannon from whom most of us don't even know what to expect anymore.
I've called and sent letters to all below. I urge you to do the same and pass this information on to as many as you can. We, who want an end to this debacle which is our current state of Washington, need to speak loud and clear. We will not sit back and watch selfish people destroy the hope for this country.
As President Obama says, it starts from the ground up. Let's make the ground swell under their feet!

I have been doing more research on the War On Drugs aka War on the American People. This war started by racist for the normal racist reasons, to put non-whites in jail and enslave them. Look it up it is well documented in history.
Now that the war is generating an estimated 100 billion a year others have become supporters of this war. That is $100,000,000,000.00 of our tax money. That amount would be enough to pay for universal health care for all Americans and have 30 billion left over. The main players who support the war by contributing to PACS’s to make sure it is kept illegal are:
Corporations that feel legal marijuana would be bad for their bottom line:
Big liquor lobbies they do not want the competition. It is projected by some that beer and liquor sales would be adversely impacted if marijuana were legal. If your representative quit putting your sons in jail, for a right guaranteed in this country, big liquor would suffer. So sacrifice a few hundred thousand more Americans put them in jail steal there property. They see it as just the cost of doing business.
The so-called legal drugs that are stronger, they are addictive, very expensive and kill thousands yearly would suffer. Large drug companies that patent these drugs and make thousands of percent in profits. They don’t want you to grow a weed and ingest it to cure your insomnia or depression even chronic pain which marijuana can help, with no side effects. They could not make the huge profits if you did. Or should I say if they allowed your representatives making the laws to quit putting us in jail they would lose money!
Corporations that profit from the war like Geo corp. they want the war to go on forever just build more jails. They run the private jails Geo loves the steady stream of non-violent drug offenders our representative’s keep sending them, but they don’t give discounts. It cost as much as $45,000.00 a year per person to keep them in prison. If our representative gave us back our rights as American citizens they would have to shut down the prisons, and we could save all that tax money. Let our people go! Anyone in jail for a non-violent drug offense should be released. They should not have been locked up to begin with. To me it is a crime by our leaders to put these people in jail. The money saved by correcting this wrong could be used to improve schools, or help the poor to at least be able to live with dignity.
These are the major losers if our leaders quit sacrificing us for profits. But they have no plans to end the war just escalate it and put more non-violent good people in jail. Americans just exercising their freedom and right to choose. Big brother feels he knows better.
I write my representatives to end the war and I get the same canned letter every time in reply. It states, “This would be sending the wrong message to the youth of America.” Sounds good but what it means is I would rather put the youth of America in jail, give them a feloney record, take away their right to vote and steal their property, for growing a weed that has been around for thousands of years. Obviously enjoyed by many and with forty years of personal research does no harm.
Our government pays other countries to keep marijuana illegal they just sent Mexico $400,000,000.00 for marijuana eradication what a waste of our money. If you believe the 400 million will be spend for that purpose I have an ocean side lot in Arizona I would like to sell you!
The poles indicate the majority of Americans 76% say end the war but the big money says fight on to increase our profits. We, the American people, are sacrificed at the rate of one arrest every 38 seconds for non-violent drug related charges. We must overcome the PAC’s and quit listening to the lies that are spread to keep some drugs illegal.
Could you imagine if our representatives said the so-called legal drugs were bad for you (and many are)? Then passed laws and started putting you in jail and seized your property for taking your medicine. Tax you and spent 100 billion every year to maintain the new law, there would be such an outcry in this country!
I almost wish they would, then maybe more people would wake up and see how cruel this War on the American People is and how wrong it is! To me it is a crime against our way of life perpetuated by our leaders for nothing more than personal gain! Tell our leaders to stop the sacrifice of human lives over a racially motivated war that is now fed by greed.
With no compassion for the people’s lives they are destroying the children that are put in jail to be raped by the real criminals. STOP sacrificing our sons, daughters, parents, and grandparent’s all casualties of this stupid war that cannot be won.
The American spirit and will to be free will not allow them to win! It is our right and we will fight to get our rights back and do away with PAC’s that now control our very way of life for corporate profits.
Lets change the name from marijuana a Spanish sounding name that was used to demonize weed to Americans back when bigotry and racism ruled. Lets call it cureallx for it helps many; mainly ones that cannot afford mainstream so-called legal drugs. They turn to this thousand year old cure-all for relief and it works that is why they will not give it up. It helps in their day-to-day struggle to maintain in this crazy world we live in just like the prescribed high dollar so called legal drugs.
One other thing many religious type people support the drug war. They revel in the war and use it to collect more money to help show us the way. If you follow your teachings you would be helping people in need and not putting them in jail. The bible quotes God as saying let the one without sin throw the first stone. Let me tell you from roaming this earth for 60 years many people throwing stones do not have the right! For all the white preachers that advocate the war and are putting as many as one in three blacks in jail for looking for a little escape from their reality. I say you are wrong and perhaps a closet racist and will pay the price as well, repent follow the bible and help the few that want help. Leave the rest of us the hell alone! The black preachers should be marching the streets to stop the war. It is destroying their youth at a much higher rate than the whites look it up!
I say legalize it, tax it, regulate it, just like the other legal drugs millions take every day. Let the little man grow it and prosper from the huge profits take the young blacks you are putting in jail at ever increasing numbers. Teach them how to prosper from this legally and keep it out of the hands of the big corporations they control too much already. Thanks to the FEDS which keep passing laws to shut the lillle man out and favor large corporations.. This would help every one improve their plight and quit putting Americans being Americans in jail!

Tribute Part IThis is the first time in my life where I have felt the same caution about politics, but have been willing to hope for a better future anyway. Barack Obama is the first presidential candidate that I ever listened to who I felt was talking about things that were relevant to me and my family on a deeper level. He is the first politician that I've ever listened to who was bold enough to challenge me to stop being afraid of what disappointments could come on the political scene in the future. He was the first politician that I have ever heard give me a challenge to step out of my comfort zone, set aside cynicism, and get involved in whatever way I could.Now with this hope in my heart, and all of our family and friend's prayers in the atmosphere, we enter into the July 4th season with a fresh new outlook and perspective.Dear Mr. Barack and Mrs. Michelle Obama, thank you for having the audacity to hope and inspiring us to come along with you on this ride.Thank you, Lord God Almighty, for blessing our dear country, in Jesus' Christ Name, We Pray! It doesn't matter where our ancestors came from.It doesn't matter how ignorant and hateful people may have talked about us and treated us.It does matter that we teach our children by our own attitudes and actions (or non-actions).It does matter that we keep our own hearts and minds clear, as that is the only thing that will make this a better place to live.
