I am a mother of two wonderfull children , my 10 year old son is on the Autism spectrum . He is a higher functioning Auti , however dailey life continues to be a struggle for him . There are several programs and Doctors out there that manage Autistics , however they are so far from reach for the majority of us including my son . If there is not a boundary set up by state health care systems and insurances's there is a boundary of severity and cost . It seem's as though if you get state funded or county funded health insurance , you arent priveledged enough to get good care. If the disorder isnt severe , you arent worthy enough to be seen by the best and if you cant pay out of the pocket , you arent seeing the best doctors or getting the best treatment . With Autism on the rise and becomming what I would consider a plaque , something need's to be done about this . This is not a normal every day life style for any one , yet with the way our government has controlled it " for many of us , that is exactly what it has become ."
It is my HOPE that this will change and that Autism and Autis finally get's the recoignition they /it deserves .

Cabinet Curiosity... Want to recommend?

I know that President-Elect Obama has been pretty tight-lipped about his cabinet proposals, but MSNBC has put out some names, though they may not be officially from Obama himself.

Frankly, if you have any better recommendations, feel free to post a reply and tell me why.

Seriously, we don't want to have a lousy, greedy, trigger-happy Cabinet!

Also, how do you think we can get these recommendations to him? I'm not sure he'll be reading these blogs much righ now.

(On a side note, there's some interesting Lieberman developments, for those who are interested.)

P.S.: Keep reading up on all the issues from as many sources as you can, and don't be afraid of seeing a diversity of opinions on the matter, as the best solutions will come from that diversity of thought. Besides, Obama needs a Cabinet with a diversity of thought as well as a diversity of party/field/background.

Okay, this is what my MyBO page is showing for my PM's:

But when I try to go to it:

"This feature is currently unavailable

And since I've logged in, this weird error message is showing up:

I issue this challenge:

Every time you hear a negative McCain ad or hear a lie, send a donation to the Obama campaign.

It can be small but send it every time. It's always nice to let the McCain folks know each time you do this as well. Make the donation in John McCain's name.

Or, when Palin belittles people who value civil rights, send a donation in her name to the ACLU. When she weilds her NRA messages, donate to anti-gun groups in her name.

Spread the idea so that negative ads can be turned to positive energy.

Its just like the maxim "a hungry man is an angry man", how can the average man remain tolerant in the face of the prevailing economic squalor and fear about what the future holds?

Below is a pathetic story about a man who wipe out his entire family and later took away his life as a result of hopelessness which in part was caused by the financial market meltdown, which happens during the President George Bush era and strongly supported by Sen. McCain.

Get out the Vote, or no more real meds for you.

I've added a few things to the Obama Prayer Cards site.

There are now two cards for each selection. Why waste the paper? Keep one and give one away. There's also a little mixing and matching available.

I've also added a prayer for getting out the vote. It's not all that original, as I just kludged together three existing prayers, including one for community organizing. There was no saint acting as an intermediary for that one, even if it is a Catholic prayer.

Plus I've made a crappy banner for the get out the vote drive using my very own, and singular pill font:
