The ST.as its known in inner circles is an animal unto its own. They have their oen laws and policies. They are loyal to the dollar and themselves. They have their own language and laws. This was done purposely. They tend to think that as long as you receive a dividend they can do as they please with no oversight.Their loyalty does not even extend to their company.Nor investors. This is how Credit Default,DTA's,and MBS came to destablilize our economy. They get paid either way.So if they want the company to fail there is no push back. They still get hefty bonuses. This is not just AIG.Its most of the firms that comprise the Dow.Liddy of AIG did not want to be a whistleblower.Yet at his hearing he made it plain that he was paying money to people who destroyed AIG and would quit if they weren't paid this hefty sum.Do they realyy think that can't be replaced? There are money managers who are unemployed that can do a better job.How hard can it be to trash your company of Billions or Trillions of dollars. If you don't want the TARP money...give it back.We will say thank you very much and move on.The government does not wany any company to fail.Yet there are those on the St. like Jeff Mackee,Rick Santelli and others who want the gov.to leave things as they are.it seems we are not intelligent enough to tell a credit from a default.Yet they will hold their hand out for taxpayers dollars.Look dumb is what the St.was when they bundled all this toxic stuff and thought that it wouldnt come crashing down around them.Damn Toxic Assets is what DTA means. This is not very Patriotic to me.The GOP has become the tool of the rich. Its sad really.
We wanted to get this content to other area supporters, so we joined the site & opened this blog. I doubt we'll have more content before the election, but you never know....

Slanderous Business Message Appalls Greenwood Citizens
"THIS IS THE BEST
COUNTRY IN THE WORLD
HELP ME CHANGE THAT
'B. HUSSEIN OBAMA'"
Dear Friends,
My husband and I have spent this election cycle truly watching the primaries and now the general election. Neither of us are party members, although my husband grew up as a staunch republican. We had decisions to make now that is was voting time. After the debates, and reviewing policy positions, I believe we will both be tallies for Obama. So not even as democrats, but as people, we were appalled to see a private business billboard with their message space donated to a slur against Obama. Ignorance, and angling against ethic prejudice should have no face in politics. Especially in a year with so many extremely important issues to demand our true thought and attention. I am forwarding this to our local Obama friends in the hope that we let this business know their message is not only inappropriate and offensive, but it is alienating customers; our family will not be providing any income for this business. I think it is really important that we address these local issues as directly as possible and with as much exposure as possible. We are hoping to forward the photo, but I am not sure it will always attach. Please contact me if you would like the photo and do not receive it. The photo is also on our profile, please have a look. We are also sending this notice and photo to the local Obama headquarters & local media.
The billboard was for:
Delta Electronics
413 Montague Ave
Greenwood, SC 29649
phone 864.229.3949.
It read:
THIS IS THE BEST
'B. HUSSEIN OBAMA'
Shown exactly as typed, with the name in quotes, showing the middle name, but not first... If it had just stated 'Barack Obama' we would have kept driving, but the "B. HUSSEIN OBAMA" struck us as inflammatory and as a direct attempt to allude negatively to Barack as a Muslim, many people I have spoken with here still believe that element of slander against Barack's faith. Just thought you all should know.
The business hours are listed as M-F 9am-6pm. Please remember to let them know how their billboard message selection is being received, but also remember who we are representing, lets keep our messages more appropriate than theirs! Please feel free to share our message with others, and contact us if you have more followup ideas for us. If you are interested in our updates please message us back or e-mail us. Thank you.
Best of Luck
~Rustin & Diana of Greenwood, SC
The following Letter to the Editor was published on Thursday, October 16, 2008 in the Anderson-Independent Mail Newspaper located in Anderson, SC and reaches an audience of more than 40,000 people. America Needs Obama
In the first presidential debate, John McCain sounded like he was running for George Bush’s third term. Barack Obama clearly stood for change. On everything from tax cuts to foreign policy McCain offered the same old Washington politics while Obama stood up for regular Americans.
Obama on tax cuts: “Senator McCain is proposing ... $300 billion in tax cuts to some of the wealthiest corporations and individuals in the country, … What I’ve called for is a tax cut for 95 percent of working families.”
Obama on Iraq’s costs back home: “Let me tell you another place to look for some savings. We are currently spending $10 billion a month in Iraq when they have a $79 billion surplus. … if we’re going to be strong at home as well as strong abroad, that we have to look at bringing that war to a close.”
McCain stood by his policy of indefinite occupation. At a time of economic crisis where Americans are losing their homes and jobs, that is money that we should be investing at home, not in Iraq. McCain is offering nothing but more of the same failed Bush policies.
Obama presented the kind of leadership Americans need. He promised tax cuts for the middle class, affordable health care and a new energy economy that creates millions of jobs. He promised to end the war in Iraq responsibly, focus on defeating al Qaeda and the Taliban, and restore America’s standing in the world.
We need Barack Obama as our next president.

Ok.. I volunteer with the local Barack Obama campaign in Greenville, SC. A few weeks ago I was given the task to put together some audio to play on loud speakers in the neighborhoods that we were canvassing for voters. I went to the site www.yesewecansong.com to get music inspired by Barack. After being on the site for 2 hours watching every song video, personal testimony by individuals and ads all I could do was cry. Because I thought that all these people CAN'T BE WRONG. But then again, I thought, hey a lot of people voted for GW Bush also... lol So I didn't want to leave anything to chance by not voicing my inspiration as well to help convince people that may read this, to share it with your friends, colleagues, family and enemies. Because you just don't know who's idea or thought it may change.

As I stare into the future
The present is bleak
But on the horizon
I see a change is going to come
I see courage
I hear singing
I hear choruses
Of beautiful melodies
As I continue to look
I see that they are
White, Black, Latino, Native American and Asian
And their voices are the same
Singing, screaming, chanting
Some, out of breath, panting
In unison...
O-BAMA.. O-BAMA... O-BAMA...
O-BAMA... O-BAMA... O-BAMA...
O--BAMAAAA...
Which inspires me to pen my vision
Of the everyday Americans
Raising up an everyday American
Who cares about Americans everyday
That's studied to show himself approved
I see the future is now
One Brave American that Makes them Aspire
Millions of voices
With the same choices
One Brave American that Moves them All!
1%, or 1 vote out of 100There have been 12 Presidential elections that were decided by less than a 1% margin; meaning if less than 1% of the voters in certain states had changed their mind to the other candidate the outcome of the entire election would have been different. More than half were decided by less than a 2% margin.
In 2004, 57,787 votes would have given us President Kerry. In 2000, 269 votes would have given us President GoreIn 1996, 575,515 votes would have given us President Dole.

=========="Squeakers"Ned PotterABC NewsSeptember 29, 2008How close have Presidential elections been? Closer, perhaps, than we ever guessed. Mike Sheppard, a grad student in statistics at Michigan State, has done a mathematical exercise that shows it.He ran a computer program to answer this question: "What is the smallest number of total votes that need to be switched from one candidate to another, and from which states, to affect the outcome of the election?"The answer: in some years, very, very few. Take a look at his analysis HERE. It shows the powerful interaction between the popular vote and the electoral college.[...]==========

Interesting article about Obama's campaign strategy in the South. This could be where the battle as won, as Ohio and Florida might be steeper climbs. The article mostly touches on driving voter turnout for African-Americans (I believe turnout is usually around 50%), while trying to appeal to more white voters than usual. Money is going to be tight as the battleground states require a lot more resources. This is just another example of why we must do what we can at the local level -- whether that is driving voter registration, exchanging healthy dialog with potential voters, phone banking .. etc.
I haven't seen much of a SC campaign presence yet (although preparatings might be taking place), so I'm going to get a couple things started. Keep an eye on this blog during the next could weeks.
Yesterday was an amazing day. I spoke to more people, received hugs from strangers and saw a giant step towards progess, change and a future I pray will come to pass. I have to admit some disappointment about the seeming devaluation of the white vote. I hate when they talk in generalities. I'm very glad that that African Americans showed up in record number and that their support was for Barack BUT... white people showed up in record numbers too and that's exciting in itself. I am extremely frustrated by the lack of white vote for Barack. I am incredibly nervous about a huge majority of middle and northern states that are predominantly white. I almost wish he'd paint polka dots on his face to show that race doesn't matter. I pray the Clintons back off, especially BIll. What he is doing is so wrong. He forces Barack into a position of defense and I think it turns people off. He's admitted it's a tactic and is proud that it's working. They want to define Barack as a black candidate and stereotype him. I wonder what can I do to help the middle of the country see the Clintons for who they are and Barack for who he is. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. thanks.
This room is just starting to fill and the electricity and excitement is almost unbearable. The line outside the convention center stretched the length of the convention center and then some. The mood out in the cold? Nothing short of elation! We didn't just win tonight, we changed the way the game can be won by almost every measure. South Carolina will never be the same again. And the best part? We did it because people said, "Yes, we can!" This is our night and in a few short minutes we'll hear from the man who help us do it.
Here's some video from the victory party...
