Fellow President Obama Supporters and Former Ones"
AS the founder of the Obama Group named YESWECANSOLVEIT...
I have taken the liberty of forming still another group called
AmericaNOchange. I doubt this one gets approved.
Thought I'd better hurry and write this and send it to all groups that
I am still a member of before I am banned here forever. Why would
that happen? you ask. Because I just formed a new group with a little
kid yelling "Hey You" while flipping off the viewer. Hope the president
and his staff gets the message.
The esculation of the war in Aftganistan is the last straw. Three strikes
your out!
First, he keeps the same people on the payroll that got us into this
financial disaster. He let's Bush and Cheney walk scot-free. He continues
to bail out the banks, "all too big to fail" why they screw us in every way.
And tonight on national tv he will try to convience us all that the way to
end the war in Aftganistan is to exculate it. This did not work in Vietnam,
I know, because I volunteered to go there, and it will not work in Aftganistan.
To add insult to injury. The powers that be, the ones backing McCain in
my city in Northern California, are all meeting to determine what the same
good ole boys get to do with local stimulus funds...So my question is?
WHAT THE HELL HAS CHANGED IN AMERICAN PRESIDENT OBAMA?
I am so damned mad right now, I swear, if I could afford it, I'd trade in
my next presidential ballot for a passport.

It's no surprise Republicans in Washington thought they could stay the course and keep government running the way they liked it, slow and inefficient without accountability. They are testing President Obama's voice of change and that means ours too.
Don't sit idle and let the forces that drove us into an economic ditch get what they want. Make calls to your Congressional leaders. Tell them about the letters arriving in the mailbox everyday with credit card companies and banks changing the rules of credit, such as raising lending rates even on their best customers. That while American taxpayers bailed them out economically and continue to do so and for what? They are content to keep the money and make more money as the situation worsens and Americans can't pay their credit card debt due to unemployment and trying to keep food on the table.
Ask why Congressional Republicans and some Democrats are willing to make the economic situation worse. Ask them when they will freeze their salaries and drop some of their perks to save money. Just as in the campaign, President Obama, nor his staff can do it alone, we have to stay involved and keep reminding our leaders that we are their bosses not the other way around. Republicans are content to add amendments to offer more corporate tax breaks while leaving the middle class and those without jobs or health care stranded.
Step up, take a stand and don't be shy about making repeated calls. President Obama has three million volunteers that aren't shy and can make a difference. The right has Rush Limbaugh and no other plan except to get in the way of change.
Yes We Can again.....again and again! Groups like Move On.org and AARP are among those sending emails with phone numbes attached and petitions for us to electronically sign to put pressure on Congress for real change, not just something they pledged on November 5th. Republicans don't want to be bi-partisan, as in Abraham Lincoln's time, they want to become the Do Nothing Party.
Speaking of President's Day, this year on the 200th anniversary of President Lincoln's birth, celebrate on February 12th, his true birthday, not the government holiday. He deserves that and more for facing challenges that inspire President Obama to stay strong and bring better days to America and the World.
Happy Birthday Mr. Lincoln!

President-elect Barack Obama made a now-famous Election Night promise to his daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7: "You've earned that new puppy that is coming with us to the White House."
There's no taking it back now - he said it front of a hundred thousand people in Grant Park, Chicago and hundreds of millions of television viewers worldwide.
Obama's was the first acceptance speech in U.S. history to include the mention of a family pet, though presidential pets certainly have received their share of the limelight. The White House website has an entire section devoted to the pets that have occupied their masters' chambers, and there is even a Presidential Pets Museum in Williamsburg, Va.
There hasn't been a president in residence in the White House in a long, long time who did not own a dog. Not since Woodrow Wilson, in fact.
Most presidential dogs were purebreds - a notable exception was Lyndon Johnson's mixed breed, which he named J. Edgar - but Obama hopes to adopt a "mutt" for his daughters - from a shelter where there are "mutts like me," our 44th president said in his first news conference as president-elect.
Obama disclosed that the family will need to find a "hypoallergenic" dog because his daughter Malia has allergies.
Dr. Jack Boden, veterinarian at Imperial Animal Hospital on St. Thomas, said that dogs that don't shed are the best option for people who suffer from allergies. When a dog sheds, the skin attached to the root of the hair follicle - skin that contains the protein to which some people are allergic - breaks up into small particles that can be breathed in, Boden said.
Frequently brushing the dog is good for both the dog and owner who suffers from allergies because it stimulates oils in the skin to keep the coat shiny and gets rid of fur that would otherwise be spread throughout the house.
"By and large, short-haired dogs with single coats - no undercoat - seem to be the best recommendation for allergy sufferers," said Boden.
Some of the breeds and mixes that are considered hypoallergenic are Chihuahuas - both long-hair and short-hair - Bichon Frisé, Greyhound, Schnauzer, Poodle, Goldendoodle or any Poodle hybrid, Yorkshire, Silky Terrier and any from a long list of non-shedding terriers.
Many websites have emerged to help the Obama family find a dog, including www. obamafamilydog.com, and thousands of people have given opinions on personal blogs and on news websites.
But since the Obamas have stated they would like to get a dog from a shelter, what better place than from one here in the Virgin Islands?
If the Obamas are interested in Chihuahuas, The Humane Society on St. Thomas has three cute little Chihuahua-mix puppies up for adoption. The three are 2-month-old sisters found in the Crown Bay area and brought into the shelter on Oct. 19. All are in good health and have up-to-date shots. Dolly is a short hair mix and has a cream coat with a little touch of white, and Loretta and Reba are both tan with short hair. All three have sweet dispositions, the Humane Society staff say.
On St. Croix, the Animal Welfare Center has more than 100 dogs waiting for adoption, and most are mixed breeds.
Shortly before Election Day, the AWC put two of the mixed breed puppies up for adoption: "Obama," a black and white Crucian mix, and "McCain," a lab-bulldog mix. McCain was adopted the day before the election, but "Obama" is still waiting for a home.
A White House would be nice - big lawn, lots of room to run, two adoring little girls to play fetch with.
"Obama" has qualities of "leadership and and can-do attitude" said Animal Welfare Center's communications director, Gretchen Sherrill.
Other St. Croix shelter puppies that might work for the Obamas are "Sticky," a black terrier mix with longish fur and brown eyes, and "Chrissy," also a terrier mix. "Chrissy" has short tan fur with a white chest and belly and a dark brown face.
"I think it'd be great to have a Crucian in the White House; we'd love for the Virgin Islands to be represented through man's best friend," said Sherrill.

"If you will stand with me and fight by my side, then I promise you this: We will not just win Ohio, we will win this general election, and together, you and I, we're going to change this country, and we will change the world," he said. "A rising is coming."

From the above reference, it is indeed very necessary for those who are yet to decide whether to vote for hope and change or remain with the status quo to please make up their mind.
My family and I have responded by making sure that within the horizon of our capacity we have supported Obama in the most capable manner ever envisaged.
God bless USA
God Bless Obama
We need absolutely every availabe volunteer possible to work the phones and canvass for Senator Obama these next few days. The battle-ground states are particularly important folks! Let's please do all that is necessary to push Senator Obama on to victory this coming tuesday night. We cannot afford to let up, not now. We have come way too far with this campaign to rest on our laurels and get complacent. Phone-calls and canvassing are still very much needed in order to reach the still undecided voters out there.
Let's please not allow ourselves to wake up on wednesday morning to hear the dreadful news that Senator John McCain has won the presidential race. Well that will not be possible if we strongly keep at it right through tuesday!!! If you must, please consider taking off work for a day or two in order to secure that win that Senator Obama really needs right now. We really do have to fight for the little kids right now, as we set the stage for their future. Yes, it's that important!!
So let's please do what absolutely must be done and go for it without reservation. Everything is on the line so let's just get our there and pour out all the energy that we've got into this worthwhile cause. Again, a very huge thanks to all who are working diligently and hard out there for a much better and brighter future for our children and all of America. God bless you!!!!

UNITED AMERICANS 4 CHANGE
I write this as I am about to pick up the phone and start calling into Ohio. I am a child of Kansas and its golden wheatfields, Colorado and its majestic mountains, Oklahoma and the Cherokee history of my ancestors, Missouri and the "Show Me" attitude and now Texas for nearly 20 years as an adult of independence built on strength, resolve, character, challenges and above all faith.
You see, like all of us I am a rainbow of colors, sunrises, sunsets, tremendous losses and unbelievable miracles. When I think of Barack Obama's campaign his message of hope for the future and faith in what we can all do as Americans inspires me to believe that people of a cascade of experiences and backgrounds can come together for the common good of this wonderful nation.
It is hard for me as a former Republican to see the party that Abraham Lincoln held so dear and fought so hard for in order to keep the Union together to come apart at the seams. It is being pulled apart by hatred and bigotry from within.
Divided we fail is surely its fate I believe because win at all cost is the GOP's motivation. I admit to election anxiety and to a disbelief in polls, having been in the meda for my whole career I discredit swings from double digit leads to single digit "too close to call" in the matter of a day or two. As I have said before in my blogs, don't believe a single thing the media says, believe in Senators Barack and Biden and their words because that's what America wants to hear and see in action in the White House.
In Texas we seem to be the land of stolen Obama signs and the land of discounted electoral votes. We have the backs of every battleground states. Once this weekend, a simple request, call into Texas and ask a voter to give Barack and Joe their support. On Election Day work like it is a marathon not for you but for your children, nieces and nephews and friends. Let the other side do what they will attempt to steal the election, they won't succeed, because have worked too hard, given all we can and done so as Barack says not for him but for us and for our believe in America the Beautiful with its spectacular tapestry of people who love this country and love each other.
God Bless You All and Thank You!
Janet Webb (Frisco)
I have yard signs and would love to hand them out; please come participate in the mega canvas this Saturday and help get out the vote, and get visibilty for your yard at the same time!
LOCATION: Wal-Mart US 380 (University Dr) & Custer Road in McKinney (meet us on the South Side of the Wal-Mart parking lot near the L strip mall)
By now many of you have seen the email floating around, especially here in Texas about the horrors of voting "a straight democratic ticket" that results in Obama not being selected. Not only is this not true it has the adverse effect of deselecting Obama if you also vote for him within the list.
SPREAD THE WORD! EARLY VOTING STARTS MONDAY...IF THE OTHER EMAILS CONTINUES IT COULD BE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO ALL OF OUR HARD WORK AND MONEY!!!!
The actual link to the story from Dallas Morning News can be found here for anyone wanting to verify its validity: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D93R2C780.html
You wouldn't know it by the media or campaigns, but Texas counts in this election with 34 electorial votes. Old polling as in September showed McCain up by nine points, but we all know what has happened to polling for him since then. Please count us in, call in to Texas, we don't have 41 field offices like Iowa with far less electoral votes. Please know we need volunteers to help finish the work the grassroot supporters in this state have been doing for 18 months, that is to get Senators Obama and Biden elected. Texas is going blue despite what everybody says. Come into our state, we have been asked to send our people to Colorado and New Mexico. Make no doubt about it, we are a battleground, nobody likes our Republican governor here, not even the Republicans and they don't like Senator McCain's plan for America either.
We are fighting hard and remembering the Alamo. We won't give up!
Janet Webb
Obama believes in the fundamentalism of unity, strength and power in diversity; McCain on he other hand propagates the campaign of hegemony and exclusion.
Obama believes in the common good of man, making him to be compassionate and objective; McCain on the other hand suspect man and has transformed into an angry man.
Obama in spite of his age has the capacity to be patient, calm and give objective and measured judgment before taking action; McCain is synonymous to spontaneity and can be easily excited, agitated and impatient.
Obama does not in any way discriminate on the basis of man made dichotomy and sentimentality; McCain on the other hand have exhibited in an exponential way the attitude of being condescending and by implication undermining the necessity of acknowledging that in humanity there is mutual respect and understanding.
Obama objectively and pragmatically support the regulation of the country’s business in such a way that the government should be the watch dog organ to make sure that this great country does not experience in the future what we are now going through again; McCain does not appreciate the essentiality of having the government to marshal the necessary regulations that should create an enabling environment for business to thrive based on authenticity and open mindedness that will avert what we are now experiencing from Wall Street.
The onus is on the two candidates for president and their surrogates to factually present and represent their convictions, inclinations and reality to the American people without the drama of rumor mongering and other forms of deceptions and distortions of facts.
If McCain wants to challenge Obama on issues of character wise, let him give the American people the benefit of doubt and present Obama in the most factual manner so as to disabuse the minds of Americans that he is not swift-boating him and honestly and authentically attempting to represent his opponents so that the country will be better inform on how best to elect the next president.
In the absent of McCain presenting a pragmatic representation of Obama his attempt at defaming his character and at the same time trying to question his patriotism and composite will amount to nothing short of nonentities, of which we have seen too many coming from his campaign.
Is it true that McCain was involved in a financial crisis in the ‘80’s leading to the collapse of a bank and by implication mimicking the prevailing economic meltdown? If that is the case where is the fact?

I don't remember where I got these from, but they are profound beyond words. I also believe that they describe Barack Obama's principles to a T.
Please read and share with others.
Thanks,

Of the two presidential candidates, there seems to be greater confidence in Obama's ability to work for immigration reform. In 2005, McCain co-authored a major immigration bill with Sen. Ted Kennedy, but essentially it went down in a blaze of populist revolt fueled in part by right-wing talk radio. Since then, McCain has said he would no longer vote for that bill, struggling to placate the GOP base while also trying to appeal to Latino voters. Rick Garko, a McCain spokesman, insists that the issue comes down to "McCain's ability to reach across party lines, something Obama has no record of doing."
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/09/30/latino_nevada/index1.html
These are words of reality not the kind of fantasy that the McCain campaign has sorted to portray to the American people. The fact of the matter still remain the same, we are all immigrant here in the USA, with the exception of the native Americans.
Ultimately we are even all immigrant in this world, since one day in each one of our life we shall depart this world and head to heaven or hell depending on the way we live our lives.
God bless Obama & Biden
Campaigning in Nevada, Sen. Obama made the case for the necessity to rescue the country rather than just Wall Street and his analogy of what a good neighbor is suppose to do in the case of a house fire conspicuously demonstrated his total grasp of the prevailing socio-economic squalors in the country. Visit the link for further information: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/09/30/latino_nevada/
A good neighbor should normally reserve any confrontation with a fellow whose house is burning until the situation is brought under control, then he or she can heap the blame on the victim’s lack of fiscal and personal responsibility and the mentality of recklessness and carelessness that have led to the house being under fire.
In Africa the simple but concise maxim that essentially buttress Obama’s foresight and wisdom in dealing with the $700 billion bailout in order to rescue the financial market in the country is one in which my father always relate to us whenever we are involved in the silliness of an argument about nonentities; “the chicks must be prevented from harms way by driving the hawk away before the mother hen can be chastise for taking her children to the bush.”
Let the rescue package first and foremost see the light of the day and then after hopefully the stabilization of the economy, then the process of apportioning blame could commence in a fashion that will help prevent future occurrence. Nevertheless it is already a known fact that whether we admit it or not, the incumbent must be held responsible for the prevailing circumstances in line with his party and their cronies that turned a deaf ears to the ticking of this economic time bomb that has finally detonated for good.
