This is the same Free Market formula Reaganomics and Thatcherism, whole heartedly, imbued itself in. Amongst the Chicago Boy Institution’s professors included such luminaries of destruction as George Shultz, and Donald Rumsfeld; Rumsfeld describing Friedman and his colleagues “a cluster of geniuses.”

In 1985 John McCain visits Pinochet. McCain described the meeting with Pinochet “as friendly and at times warm, but noted that Pinochet does seem obsessed with the threat of communism.” Gee, I wonder who planted that bug into Pinochet’s psyche? Today, the commies have morphed into: Al Kaeda Everywhere, under the ubiquitous and pervasive - Global War on Terror.

Friedman himself was forced to admit that his free-market ideology does not fit comfortably within democratically established Societies - which is why the 'CULTURAL SLATE MUST BE ERASED' to make way for the new free-market religion, a medicinal cleansing is required. In Friedman's world - the architect of Reaganomics - Democracy and Free-Markets are a contradiction in terms; diametrically opposed and at odds with each other. Its results: a small elite grow far wealthier while large portions of what had been the working class are discarded from the economy althgether and turned into surplus people.

What should be even more worrisome is that Friedman style, free-market ideology was sold to the Chinese. The Chicago Boys having deemed Democracies as inhospitable to their formula for quenching insatiable greed, China certainly would prove quite the opposite. Just look at the praise it received via the, so called, Olympics. Look where the free-market multi-nationals tend to find attraction and tend to gravitate towards - China and Dubai.

'Operation Iraqi Freedom' should be seen in its true light, for what it really is, a Neoconic cleansing, or 'clearing of the slate' in preparation for Iraqi Friedman!!

A lot of folks have criticized, questioning Obama's character for having rubbed shoulders with folks from the same institution from which Freidman launched his bloody counter-revolution against New Deal policies. In fact, if Kissinger were to set foot in certain areas of South America, he would immediately be arrested as such and he knows it, thereby forcing him to utilize his 'Free Market Miles' frugally.

Thanks to the artifice of 'Fractional Reserve Banking' debt has become money, hence a commodity, which value is then speculated upon as it is bundled, bought and sold by wall-street casinos. The bankers wealth, is the borrowers debt; whose burden is multiplied by usury. Cycles of inflation-deflation (adding/subtracting value; saturation-de-saturation of fiat paper) exponentially exacerbates that burden upon the borrower, until the borrower's entire material being is that as a harness, for he has become as a mule in that harness and a debt-slave to the magicians of wealth creation.

On a globalised, electronic scale, in which "money" (value added digits) is traded as a commodity is a very different story in which the conglomerates as well as the individual are harnessed by a system of perpetual debt money to the private banking sector; in other words, one half of the community lives off the toil of the other half simply for the privilege of creating, supplying and handling its "money".

When McCain utilizes the term 'Spread the Wealth Around' in conjunction with the term 'Socialist', its intent is that of a psychological barb; tipped with a dark-poison coloration, stigmatized of a bygone era in which McCain, obviously, still lives. The hope is of rousing sentiment within like minds of a gullible flock. McCain's rhetoric is only a psychological projection of his own crime onto the victim; whose cronies, having gutted the life savings and retirement accounts of the worker bees, certainly do not wish to share the proceeds of their loot. In other words, when McCain accuses Barack of spreading the wealth around, McThief is only deflecting attention away from the reality of his own egregious crime, who has already divvied up the looted booty at the top, while deceptively 'Spreading the Debt Around' at the bottom, with the added blessing from the Grand Plunderer, 'you're on your own', trust me, 'it's the American Way'.

Through exotic, algorithmic, scamming mechanisms such as Enron - Keating S&L - Wall Street Casino Bailout; McRobin-Hood has consistently looted the public trust and is not about to dethrone His Friends in DC - the good old boy network - which he just can't wait to introduce, Plain-Clothes, Palin to.

Speaking at the Campus Progress journalism conference earlier this month, Seymour Hersh -- a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist for The New Yorker -- revealed that Bush administration officials held a meeting recently in the Vice President's office to discuss ways to provoke a war with Iran.

In Hersh's most recent article, he reports that this meeting occurred in the wake of the overblown incident in the Strait of Hormuz, when a U.S. carrier almost shot at a few small Iranian speedboats. The "meeting took place in the Vice-President's office. 'The subject was how to create a casus belli between Tehran and Washington,'" according to one of Hersh's sources.

During the journalism conference event, I asked Hersh specifically about this meeting and if he could elaborate on what occurred. Hersh explained that, during the meeting in Cheney's office, an idea was considered to dress up Navy Seals as Iranians, put them on fake Iranian speedboats, and shoot at them:
HERSH: There were a dozen ideas proffered about how to trigger a war. The one that interested me the most was why don't we build -- we in our shipyard -- build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats. Put Navy seals on them with a lot of arms. And next time one of our boats goes to the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up.

Hersh argued that one of the things the Bush administration learned during the encounter in the Strait of Hormuz was that, "if you get the right incident, the American public will support it.” "Look, is it high school? Yeah," Hersh said. "Are we playing high school with you know 5,000 nuclear warheads in our arsenal? Yeah we are. We're playing, you know, who's the first guy to run off the highway with us and Iran."

Was Enron Behind the War in Afghanistan? Since Enron morphed into the UBS, how does McCain answer the question of what he’s doing handling Phil Gramm’s Enron and UBS baggage? What personal involvement did McCain have in the UNOCAL pipeline?

For the past six years of relentless media pounding, the malleable public mind has been rendered into mush, brow-beaten into accepting the premise for the invasion and occupation of Iraq as, somehow, in fact, being based on a legitimate war. It is not a war and never has been. If you proceed from a false assumption, you will end up with a false argument. In this case, any reference to the term ‘Surge’ is a misnomer, and by default, an attempted extension to justify an already illicit deed. Therefore, any argument for, or against any kind of SURGE as working, or not, is simply a vain, elaborate attempt to mask and justify the mass slaughter and displacement of millions of people the current misconception has already left in its wake. This can not be dismissed, or condoned by a simple play on words. The architects should not be allowed, so easily, to wash from their hands the spilt innocent blood and wryly walk away!

Iraq never attacked the U.S., nor did it ever pose a threat. It was already occupied; cornered and bludgeoned by an already ongoing occupation initiated by Bush I. Bush II simply utilized the chaos that issued forth from the psychodrama of 9/11, as a means to escalate its belligerence against the Iraqi people to satisfy neocon agenda, seize the oil fields and restore U.S. Dollar supremacy. The U.S. Congress never declared war against Iraq, it simply signed off, giving Bush abusive powers to escalate existing aggressions of occupation; technically it has been nothing more than a congressionally sanctioned police action from the very beginning.

Now that the neocon warmongers wish to play a shell game with a ‘redeployment’ of troops from one illicit invasion: Iraq; transferring the focal point of its aggression by escalating those actions into the, long forgotten, initial invasion of Afghanistan, perhaps it would benefit all if we were to revisit the timeline encompassing the events of: Cheney/Enron – Taliban – Afghanistan – leading up to 9/11.

The Enron scandal runs so deep into the Bush/Cheney regime that evidence shows Enron may have been a major factor in Bush/Cheney complicity in 9/11 as pretext for the present "global war on terror" a war for the control of Central Asian oil, gas reserves and pipelines implicating the Bush/Cheney neocon regime in both the Enron scandal and 9/11, as Enron also had its interests in the Afghanistan/Central Asia energy grab.

From 2001 to 2003, Dick Cheney continued to openly break the law by defying GAO requests to turn over his records of meetings with Enron. The General Accounting Office decided not to challenge a judge's decision to dismiss the watchdog agency's lawsuit against Vice President Dick Cheney's energy task force.

The decision by GAO ended a nearly two-year battle with the White House over documents detailing meetings Cheney held with the National Energy Policy Development Group in 2001. The meetings resulted in the president's national energy policy and many of the officials there came from Enron Corp., the Houston-based energy company that filed for bankruptcy in December 2001 amid accusations of hidden debt, inflated profits and improper accounting methods.

There are indications that Enron and the White House were working closely with the Taliban -- including Osama bin Laden -- up to weeks before the Sept. 11 attack. Why was the bin Laden family, swiftly whisked out of the country, immediately following the events of 9/11?

How does McCain fit into the Enron ball game? Following Enron’s collapse in December of 2001, it was McCain’s financial guru, Phil Graam, the evil genius of world high-way robbery, whose UBS interests scavenged the remnants of Enron’s energy and oil interests throughout the Middle East. In other words, the chameleon UBS is the new Enron. Since the Democrats continue buckling under the weight of their own invertebrate skeletal structure when it comes to defending the Constitution, perhaps the public would best be served, by enlisting the services of those members of courage, who still have eyes, ears and a backbone; to investigate Cheney’s Enron agenda prior to 9/11 and the secretive deals between Big Oil, Bush, and the Taliban in the early months of 2001. What ever the opinions may be regarding the sanitized version for its causes, much weight outside of the anointed pronouncements, suggest that 9/11 may very well have been a rouge GLADIO-CIA styled false-flag operation utilized to ignite the necessary psychodrama that has permeated, and swept the public mind into accepting the all consuming ‘global war on terror’, a bloody cover for imperial madness…money and power!

Think Oliver North type covert ops run by then VP (CIA) Bush-I, in sleepy Reagan’s basement, but this time, Cheney’s basement, along with all of the same Iran/Contra neocon planners. A pliable Bush II, still a complicit traitor, has simply been the epitome of Marx’s ‘useful idiot’ for the neocon agenda, to plunge the world into a clash of civilizations and force into existence a fascist order.

GLADIO - false-flag operations are quite frightening as they are, in fact, quite real! Many will ask, "Well, what happened to the passengers seen boarding the aircraft?" These folks are psyops specialists, mind-benders, who study deception and distraction. My response is, "how did the famous magician, David Copperfield, manage to make the statue of liberty disappear before a, massive, live audience?"

Interestingly, numerous NORAD, and its eastern counterpart, NEADS gamers, were performing live, what if, hijacking scenarios at that very same precise moment; to add a fog of confusion, the actual event was piggybacked into these live games.

The fact of the matter is that history is replete with conspiracies. The American Revolution was a conspiracy against the King of England, a premiere example.

Con – meaning against; Spire – from the Latin, to breath -- giving us the result: to breathe against; from this, have evolved terms such as: con-job, con-artist, or confidence man, all of which are individual conspirators. The only difference being that, a conspiracy involves a 'group' of individual confidence men, or con-artists – think big, think Federal Reserve and Wall Street, both involve 'consumer confidence'. The con builds its subject’s confidence, for the purpose of bilking the supplicant out of something that it has; something of value and which the con desires to take by slight of hand. In 1913, when the money powers centralized their control, consecrated in the creature of the Federal Reserve, the popular press from that bygone era criticized it as a, “den of vipers and thieves”, in other words, a sanctuary of con-artists.

If you tell a little lie, you’ll get caught, but if you tell a BIG lie, and tell it often enough it and teach it as the truth, eventually it will be perceived and accepted by all as the truth. (In other words, the larger and more magnificent the con, the more difficult it is to see through it, especially if it is sanctioned and cloaked in the respectable shroud of one’s own government.)

I’d be willing to venture a ten-fold return on your every dollar, that there are currently, and have been from the very beginning, numerous false-flag fires set off all over the Middle East landscape. To this bloody thought process, the ends justify what ever means are at its disposal.

If these things are not openly vetted, the House can only remain under the dark cloud it has gathered itself under, while innocent blood continues to spill and scream from the ground to haunt the ears of the living.

I say, reopen the investigations into Enron/Cheney (currently, morphed into the UBS of McCain/Gramm/Cheney) because this might very well be the thread to pull that will unravel the cloak, which was 9/11.

The possibility that House Resolution 362 could lead to a blockade has led antiwar activists to label it the "IRAN WAR RESOLUTION" even though it clearly states in the final "whereas" clause, "nothing in this resolution shall be construed as an authorization of the use of force against Iran.

The language of the House and Senate resolutions tries to suggest that it doesn't involve the use of force. Well, you know, it does involve the use of force, just as the blockade at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis involved the use of force. And it is in effect a declaration of war against any country that tries to export goods to Iran, and particularly, of course, petroleum goods to Iran.

The rapid endorsement of this resolution has been credited to the pro-Israel lobby, specifically the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, which sent thousands of its members to Capitol Hill to lobby for the resolution in early June. Porter believes that Congress was responding more to the Israel lobby than to any new intelligence on Iran or events on the ground.

Considering that Microsoft software and applications are used on most personal and professional desktops in American, I am now beginning to become somewhat concerned over the personal security and freedom issues involving such a dominant corporate position within our general culture.

My reasons are simple:

There is no doubt that Microsoft embeds "hidden" codes in documents and other products produced with Microsoft software. Formally known as GUIDs (Globally Unique IDentifiers), these codes can allow the federal government, corporations or individuals to track documents, computer programs and other information back to a single computer and possibly to a single individual who used the computer on a specific date and time. Unless you store and transmit your information in clear, human-readable, plain-text, it is possible that your document, text file, audio file, video file or program contains personally identifying "metadata."

Microsoft: agent of the government?

Considering that Microsoft is subject to no-announce administrative summons such as those promoted by the Patriot Act and other legislation, it is theoretically possible for Microsoft to serve as an agent of the government to electronically surveil the American public without any further enabling legislation or violating the governments restrictions on compiling and maintaining massive databases for uses other than national defense.

The Microsoft way...

Allowing Microsoft to own and operate a large search engine under the most liberal interpretation of Microsoft's standard EULA (End User Licensing Agreement) and privacy agreements where "Microsoft can do anything it wants and is not responsible for the consequences of its actions" is unacceptable.....

HR 362 an Alarming Escalation of Hostility Towards Iran

The Demands of HR 362

HR 362, sponsored by Rep. Gary Ackerman, a New York Democrat, calls for the president to enact more draconian economic sanctions against Iran. These include an embargo against any imports of refined petroleum. (While Iran is of course a major exporter of oil, it imports at least 40% of its refined petroleum.) The wording of the Resolution is chilling in the extreme: “Congress… demands that the President initiate an international effort to immediately and dramatically increase the economic, political and diplomatic pressure on Iran to verifiably suspend its nuclear enrichment activities by… prohibiting the export to Iran of all refined petroleum products......

The “stringent inspection requirements” listed would require a naval blockade, thereby constituting an act of war. And this is how the resolution would be perceived by virtually all Iranians........

Congressional Democrats, the IAEA and Factual Falsehoods in HR 362

There is more support now than there was a year ago in Congress, especially among the Democrats, for military action against Iran. Thus HR 362’s co-sponsors include 96 House Democrats and 111 House Republicans. These are the same Democrats whom Americans voted into Congress, in November 2006, as majorities in both houses, based on what voters believed to be the Democrats’ opposition to war in the Middle East.

To add insult to injury, HR 362 justifies its content with demonstrably false accusations about Iran’s nuclear program. The Resolution charges that Iran’s importing and manufacturing of centrifuges are “covert” and “illicit.” But under both the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, to which Iran is a signatory, and Iran’s agreements with the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), these activities are entirely permitted. The IAEA has publicly stated its support of Iran’s uranium enrichment program, which it states is in full accord with all treaty requirements to which Iran is subject.

Late last October IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei remarked to CNN: “Have we seen Iran having the nuclear material that can be readily used into a weapon? No. Have we seen an active weaponization program? No. … I very much have concern building confrontation, because that would lead to a disaster. I see no military solution. The only durable solution is through negotiations and inspections. My fear is that if we continue to escalate from both sides that we would end up on a precipice, we would end up in an abyss.” ElBaradei’s most recent statements repeatedly echo these October remarks.

The Role of AIPAC

That HR 362 has been so warmly received on Capitol Hill is a sad testimony to Congress’s willing dependence on external interests which cannot be assumed to be identical to those of most Americans. The Resolution is known to have been initially drafted by the American-Israeli lobby AIPAC. In early June AIPAC sent more than a thousand lobbyists to Congress to whip up support for this Resolution.

Congress’s well known subordination to AIPAC’s agenda should not be construed as a democratic response to the wishes of the American Jewish community. Polls show that more than 80% of Jewish-Americans oppose an attack on Iran. Congress’s compliance to AIPAC’s interests amounts to obeisance to a foreign State, not to any domestic constituency.......

Late last year, Congress agreed to a request from President Bush to fund a major escalation of covert operations against Iran, according to current and former military, intelligence, and congressional sources. These operations, for which the President sought up to four hundred million dollars, were described in a Presidential Finding signed by Bush, and are designed to destabilize the country's religious leadership....

The scale and the scope of the operations in Iran, which involve the Central Intelligence Agency and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), have now been significantly expanded, according to the current and former Preparing the Battlefield officials....

The funding for the escalation was approved. In other words, some members of the Democratic leadership-Congress has been under Democratic control since the 2006 elections-were willing, in secret, to go along with the Administration in expanding covert activities directed at Iran, while the Party's presumptive candidate for President, Barack Obama, has said that he favors direct talks and diplomacy....

The Democratic leadership's agreement to commit hundreds of millions of dollars for more secret operations in Iran was remarkable....

There is a growing realization among some legislators that the Bush Administration, in recent years, has conflated what is an intelligence operation and what is a military one in order to avoid fully informing Congress about what it is doing....

"This is a big deal," the person familiar with the Finding said. "The C.I.A. needed the Finding to do its traditional stuff, but the Finding does not apply to JSOC. The President signed an Executive Order after September 11th giving the Pentagon license to do things that it had never been able to do before without notifying Congress....

"The agency says we're not going to get in the position of helping to kill people without a Finding," the former senior intelligence official told me. He was referring to the legal threat confronting some agency operatives for their involvement in the rendition and alleged torture of suspects in the war on terror. "This drove the military people up the wall," he said....

In recent months, according to the Iranian media, there has been a surge in violence in Iran; it is impossible at this early stage, however, to credit JSOC or C.I.A. activities, or to assess their impact on the Iranian leadership....

"The Special Ops guys are pissed off because Cheney's office set up priorities for categories of targets, and now he's getting impatient and applying pressure for results. But it takes a long time to get the right guys in place."....

There is another complication: American Presidential politics. Barack Obama has said that, if elected, he would begin talks with Iran with no "self-defeating" preconditions (although only after diplomatic groundwork had been laid). That position has been vigorously criticized by John McCain. The Washington Post recently quoted Randy Scheunemann, the McCain campaign's national-security director, as stating that McCain supports the White House's position, and that the program be suspended before talks begin. What Obama is proposing, Scheunemann said, "is unilateral cowboy summitry."

Scheunemann, who is known as a neoconservative, is also the McCain campaign's most important channel of communication with the White House. He is a friend of David Addington, Dick Cheney's chief of staff....

A non-binding resolution to demand that President Bush impose "stringent inspection requirements" on trade with Iran - language that leaves the door open for a military blockade - will likely come to the House floor this week, according to sources close to Congressional leadership. The legislation, H.Con.Res.362, which is paralleled by a similar Senate bill, has gained bipartisan support rapidly, with more co-sponsors signing on by the day. Once it hits the floor, it's bound to "pass like a hot knife through butter," a staffer in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office told Chelsea Mozen of the nonprofit Just Foreign Policy.

Trita Parsi, co-founder and president of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), concurred, saying passage may happen as early as Tuesday.

"This bill will likely be put on the floor under suspension - meaning that it will pass without even a vote," Parsi told Truthout.

Bills placed under rules of suspension are usually uncontroversial. However, this one is an ominous exception, according to Parsi.

"It sets the stage for a very dangerous escalation," he said.

Moreover, the resolution would unquestionably send a hostile message to Iran, according to Chorin.

Misappropriated Science as Weapons of Power

Years ago I read the book: “Angels Don't Play This HAARP; Advances in Tesla Technology” Which Nick Begich co-authored with Jeane Manning.

Jeane Manning took over the 'Alternative Energy' editorial section of a publication, Atlantis Rising, following the mysterious demise of the predecessor, Eugene Malove, a guy who broke ranks with MIT, was on the cutting edge of what is known as ‘Zero Point Energy’, and had ruffled quite a few feathers in the process of reporting his research.

HAARP stands for: High Altitude Atmospheric Research Project, a superficially benign title but the military patents prove otherwise, as Begich discovered. The twelve patents listed at the link below are the backbone of the HAARP project, and are now buried among the thousands of others held in the name of Raytheon. Bernard J. Eastlund's U.S. Patent # 4,686,605, "Method and Apparatus for Altering a Region in the Earth's Atmosphere, Ionosphere; and/or Magnetosphere," was sealed for a year under a government Secrecy Order.

HAARP is an antenna array, located in Alaska, whose focused radio waves turn it into a cooker, capable of boiling sections of the ionosphere, whereby jet stream patterns can be altered, among other capabilities. E-Systems is one of the biggest intelligence contractors in the world -- doing work for the CIA, defense intelligence organizations and others. $1.8 billion of their annual sales are to these organizations, with $800 million for black projects -- projects so secret that even the United States Congress isn't told how the money is being spent.

Related research by Begich and Manning uncovered bizarre schemes. Air Force documents revealed that a system had been developed for manipulating and disturbing human mental processes through pulsed radio-frequency radiation (the stuff of HAARP) over large geographical areas. The most telling material about this technology came from writings of Zbigniew Brzezinski (former National Security Advisory to U.S. President Carter) and J.F. MacDonald (science advisor to U.S. President Johnson and a professor of Geophysics at UCLA), as they wrote about use of power-beaming transmitters for geophysical and environmental warfare. The documents showed how these effects might be caused, and the negative effects on human heath and thinking.

The mental-disruption possibilities for HAARP are the most disturbing. More than 40 pages of the book, with dozens of footnotes, chronicle the work of Harvard professors, military planners and scientists as they plan and test this use of the electromagnetic technology. McCain McNasty 'Not a War Hero'

....In the fall of 1967, Navy pilot John McCain was routinely bombing Hanoi from an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea. On October 26, he was trying to level a power plant in a heavily populated area when a surface-to-air missile knocked a wing off his jet. Banged-up John McCain and what was left of plane splashed into Truc Bach Lake.

A compassionate Vietnamese civilian left his air raid shelter and swam out to McCain. McCain’s arm and leg were fractured and he was tangled up in his parachute underwater. He was drowning. The Vietnamese man saved McCain’s sorry ass, and yet McCain has nothing but hatred for “the gooks” who allegedly tortured him. As he told reporters on his campaign bus (The Straight Talk Express) in 2000, “I will hate them as long as I live.” (1)

Americans have to hate people, and dehumanize them as “gooks” or “rag-heads” in order to drop bombs on them. Stirring up such hatred is the forte of the US government, as witnessed by its Israeli-driven PR campaign against Arabs and Moslems. That’s why Bush and his media minions tied “brutal dictator” Saddam Hussein to 9/11 – so Americans would hate Iraqis enough to kill and abuse them in a thousand ways, everyday, for five years. Or, according to McCain, for 100 years if necessary.

The flip side to the equation is that people generally hate those who drop bombs on them. When the Germans dropped bombs on London, the Allies called it Terror Bombing. The French resistance especially hated the Germans, especially after the Gestapo set up shop in occupied France in 1940.

Likewise, Iraqi and Afghani resistance fighters hate the Americans (who more and more resemble the Germans of 1940) for occupying their countries. They especially hate our Gestapo – the CIA – and its torturers. But that’s War for you, and John McCain is lucky the locals didn’t eat him alive – like Uzbek nationalists trapped in a horrid prison camp in Afghanistan nibbled on CIA officer John “Mike” Spann shortly after Spann summarily executed a prisoner. Spann was killed in the ensuing riot, shortly before the CIA and its Afghan collaborators massacred the remaining Uzbek prisoners on 28 November 2001. The Vietnamese had good reason to hate McCain. On his previous 22 missions, he had dropped God knows how many bombs killing God knows how many innocent civilians. “I am a war criminal,” he confessed on “60 Minutes” in 1997. “I bombed innocent women and children.” (2)

If he is sincere when he says that, why isn’t he being tried for war crimes by the U.S .Government?

"Status of Forces Agreement" A Bush Blackmail

Well, look, some two weeks after the occupation of Baghdad, General Tommy Franks went on record saying that there are going to be US forces in Iraq on the model of Korea, where there have been US forces now for almost 60 years. A permanent military base in Iraq has been an objective of this invasion from the beginning. The kind of bases that they have built, these are the largest bases the US has ever built outside its own territory. What the US wants is bases, vast bases in Iraq in perpetuity, with limited sovereignty for any Iraqi government, present or future, which will have no control, juridic or operational, on these troops. That issue came to a head last November, when the Bush administration and the al-Maliki government started negotiating what they are calling "The Status of Forces Agreement." The Iraqi parliamentarians, a large number of them, including people from his own Shia coalition, are profoundly opposed to it, the Iraqi people are profoundly opposed to this, and al-Maliki government is caught. Now, al-Maliki has gone on his second visit to Iran this year, trying to persuade the Iranis to accept this, which is most unlikely. Iranis will never approve of US bases so close to their border. This is, I think, a lost cause, but it's a sort of a desperate effort to get the Iranis behind them.

The biggest concern now should be the media blackout regarding the Bush Oligarchs push to implement what is known as the ‘Status of Forces Agreement’ and the true nature of this agreement. If the Washington regime, through slight of hand, is successful in this, it will tie Barack’s hands in fulfilling his stated mission, to remove ALL U.S. troops from the region. The deadline is the end of July. If successful, the Washington regime expects the measure to boost McCain’s position in November. This is serious stuff!

Bush, considers the agreement to be an "executive accord" and refuses to submit it to Congress, as law and tradition dictate, because he knows that it would never be ratified, thereby tying the hands of all future presidents with an egregious, personal military contract forced down the throats of both governments, U.S. and Iraqi, imposing itself as a hornets nest, by its continued occupation of the region.

From an Iraqi perspective it is deeply humiliating. In one fell swoop, it neuters Iraq's national sovereignty, something of no less pride and importance to Iraqis than it is to Americans.

The all seeing sovereign commander will, of course, try and sell this poison disguised in the candy wrapper of 'security'.

Bush Impeachment - Where Were Obama & Clinton?

Kucinich’s impeachment measure accuses Bush of taking the country to war in Iraq under false pretenses; he introduced it as a “privileged resolution,” which requires the House to take it up within two legislative days. Any lawmaker may offer a privileged resolution, but it is usually done only by party leaders.

Kucinich, upon introducing his articles of impeachment Monday evening, insisted on reading the resolution into the Congressional Record, a process that took nearly five hours. He finished reading it late yesterday after the close of legislative business.

As they have previously, Democratic leaders staunchly oppose Kucinich’s impeachment effort. They expect to table the resolution by referring it to the Judiciary Committee, where they expect it to die.

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) suggested yesterday that engaging in a lengthy debate over impeaching Bush in the waning days of his administration is not a productive use of the House’s time.

Kucinich tried a similar maneuver last November, bringing an impeachment measure against Cheney to the floor as a privileged resolution. It was referred to the Judiciary Committee.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is sticking by her earlier pledge to make sure impeaching Bush and Cheney is an option that remains strictly “off the table.”

There is something beastly psychotic in a nation, whose annual military budget of 650 billion dollars, sits on the fulcrum, in balance to a world population of roughly 7 billion. It is this mindset of fear which Obama wishes to change. If not, it will be to our own peril.

Might does not make right, it only breeds contempt. The corrupt U.S. foreign policy of plunder and exploitation; a decades long, festering boil, resulting in the eruption of 9/11, is not something that manifest itself in a vacuum. It needs to be vetted! Let’s not allow ourselves to be pulled deeper into the abyss of this madness, by voting for ‘business as usual’.

A military economy can only thrive in an atmosphere of paranoia, fear and opposition. What otherwise could possibly justify its existence? An army of soldiers can do anything but sit on their bayonets. They must either use them, or lose them.

Machiavelli, in his ‘Art of War’, issued the following warning: ‘I say…that…governments should fear those persons who make war their only business…And if a prince has not enough power over his occupations when a war is over, he is on the road to being ruined. For no infantry can be so dangerous as that which is composed of men who make war their only calling, because a prince either must keep them continually engaged in war, or must constantly keep them paid in peacetime, or must run the risk of their stripping him of his kingdom. But it is impossible to keep them forever engaged in war, or forever paid when war is over; therefore, a prince must run no small risk of losing his kingdom.
When the Cold War ended, many of officers became unemployed or in fear of becoming so. Defeated or unemployed military officers represent a dangerous phenomenon in any society, and today this problem is compounded by the issue of a mercenary (or all-volunteer) force. Machiavelli wrote about precisely this in 1521, warning that unemployed mercenaries and professional soldiers would inevitably stir up coups and conflicts in order to procure jobs and glory for themselves.
After Vietnam, the US military exhibited the pathologies of a defeated army. These recalled the sociological developments among the defeated or embittered forces of Germany and Italy after the First World War, when defeated veterans became one of the initial constituencies of fascism. The forces in the universe are neither good nor evil but, misappropriated in the hands of those who perceive those forces as ‘weapons of power’, then do they manifest as evil; to this force of power, peace is an enemy.

Iraq Winter Soldier Hearings

In 1971 at age 19, I had a life-changing experience when I met dozens of Vietnam veterans who’d descended on my hometown of Detroit to testify at the “Winter Soldier” hearings organized by Vietnam Veterans Against the War. In anguished presentations, the Vets painstakingly described the horrors against Vietnamese they’d seen or taken part in. And the attitudes of racism and bloodlust that motored the war. Many vets blamed the lies in mainstream media for convincing them to go to Vietnam in the first place.

Virtually every soul in that Detroit hotel banquet hall wept openly at the heartfelt, bone-chilling revelations pouring out of the Vietnam vets struggling with bloody memories and post-traumatic stress. But no one outside that hall could see or hear the proceedings. No TV or radio networks covered the event.

This weekend at the National Labor College near Washington D.C., a new generation of vets convened by Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) presented powerful hearings - “Winter Soldier: Iraq & Afghanistan” - that were more extensive and perhaps even more emotional.

Thirty seven years later, I again found myself sobbing at testimony from solemn young Americans returned from needless war, grappling with shattered lives over brutalities against civilians and prisoners they’d witnessed or participated in.

Considering the mental torment unleashed by the 911 psychodrama; under which the public mind is currently spell-bound, as a pretext, the architects now have the power to 'project' the nemeses 'Al Qaeda' into any corner of the globe they wish to insert their bloody boot, knowing full well that their actions will be accompanied by a modicum of public cheering and support.

The corporation’s successful deployment of Freudian psychological tricks, employed once before to harness the purchasing power of the consuming masses, has now turned an even more sinister corner. Tapping into the deeply rooted xenophobic religious fears of the psyche, enabling it to pit ‘Us’ against ‘Them’, while an evolving war industry thrives in the chaos, bloating itself upon the export market of war material, as it covertly seeks to undermine imerging democracies, a thorn in the side, and threat to imperial desires.

This force has evolved the capacity and of necessity, the psychological tools to incite global dominance, while the masses languish in its psychic prison, as automatons, a manufactured corporate bubble of consensus reality, suitable only to its own egocentric survival.

If you haven't seen the BBC documentires, I highly recommend you set time aside to watch both: 'The Century of Self' followed by 'The Power of Nightmares'. You will see how the - Al Qaeda Everywhere - specter morphed into its present form; a psychological tool for the exploitation of fear, to promote a never ending war!

Adam Curtis exposes the public manipulation we sense but usually don't understand. His BBC documentaries are legendary in Britain but practically unknown in the US. An American network executive who wouldn't even let his name be used said "we would be crucified if we showed that here". These documentaries are like a graduate course in how the American and British public has been herded like cattle since the end of World War I.

A cursory examination into the networking tentacles of the defense industry, which tap and prioritizes every innovative thought that bubbles to the surface, from each and every institution of American society, it becomes obviously difficult to escape the clutches of its reach into every segment of our economy. What should be even more worrisome is the continued raising up of mercenary, Solders of Fortune.

In the HBO documentary video, ‘Why We Fight’, the point is quickly hammered home, just how deeply permeated every nerve and fiber of American psyche has become, with the notion that war is necessary, war is good and war creates jobs.

This is the mindset Obama wishes to change. If not, it will be to our own peril. There is something beastly psychopathic reflected in a nation's annual military budget of 650 billion dollars, when weighed in the balace of world population, of roughly 7 billion people.

Xenophobia - The Power of Fear - A Frightened Planet

Come on, comparing Obama to Ken Star! Has she mounted a subconscious retributional campaign against previous infractions she and Bill incurred, from the Repugnant party? Campaigning for the presidency is not a venue for a personal psychotherapy session!

Hillary’s scorched earth policy approach to her campaign, will, no doubt, if maintained, destroy the village in order to save it; along with her child the village was intended to raise.

I don't think we need to worry about Obama sweeping out this toxic waste and washing it away by a tidal wave of support. There is plenty of pent up energy here to accomplish that once he becomes the nominee, and he won’t even need to fire a shot. Every time Hillary opens her mouth, she ends up stabbing herself.

We need to shatter the grip of this xenophobic, global war on terror psycho-drama, mindset; promoted by the corporate party of war and prevent it from dragging us deeper into the jaws of its madness, than we already are. If you enjoy terror, vote for Hillary or McCain, they will certainly take us there. Obama has stated repeatedly, and I wish that he would trumpet it even louder, his intentions are to destroy the mindset, the psychology of fear that led us into this illicit war/invasion; the corrupt U.S. foreign policy of plunder and exploitation; a decades long, festering boil, resulting in the eruption of 9/11.

The world could very easily put the merchants of death out of business, by shedding the chains of this psychopathically barbaric mentality that we currently dwell in; trapped by fear. I am confident that a significant majority of the public are sufficiently sick and tired of this illicit war and fear mongering; who are capable of voting without being directed by the cattle-prod of fear. Obama is like salve to the wound these folks have inflicted. Have we become so blind in our fear that we can no longer recognize the well intentioned when he appears? We clamor and cry out for change, but when it arrives we fear it.
