Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so
I'll mainly categorize.

During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service he sponsored
over 820 bills. He introduced

233 regarding healthcare reform,

125 on poverty and public assistance,

112 crime fighting bills,

97 economic bills,

60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,

21 ethics reform bills,

15 gun control,

6 veterans affairs and many others.

His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and
co-sponsored another 427. These inculded **the Coburn-Obama Government
Transparency Act of 2006 - became law, **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear
Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, -
became law, **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the

I immigrated to the USA many years ago (now US citizen)and I have lived through many political instabilities while I was living outside of USA. I know very well how America was seen as a bacon of hope for many and unfortunately that perception is getting eroded each day by the foreign policy that is being carried out by this administration. I hope Barack Obama will change that.

Though the negative reaction to America seems to come from all corners of the world, I would like to see it from African perspective, since I have a better understanding about that. One major current problem is supporting tyrants and dictators in the name of supporting Anti Terrorism over pro democracy movements. THe only long term solution to global terrorism is not by supporting tyrants dictators, it is by helping people achieve their hopes and dreams. Because no matter where you are, as a human being people have the same aspirations and dreams. If we don't accept that fact, then we are all up against an unending battle which ultimately may consume all of us.

which articulates what is going on in the Horn of Africa. US should work with the people of Ethiopia ( the major power in the horn of Africa) and not with the Dectator in Ethiopia -Meles Zenawi - if US wants a lasting example how to solve terrorism in that region and untimately get some key learnings to translate to other parts of the world. Again the best way to fight terrorism in the long term ( the cheapest way too) is to work with pro democracy people in region and not with DIctators in Africa. Otherwise we will end up repeating the Iraq situation again and again.

By the way, major pro democracy opposition leaders from Ethiopia are currently in the USA and you guys should talk to them as soon as possible to get some good ideas how to fight terrorism in Africa. They are living through it and there is not better person than them. They can give you a battle tested ideas.
