The Prize

MI 2020 -T Man — Sat, 10 Oct 2009 00:14:14 EDT

Congratulations to President Barack Obama in honor of the Nobel Peace Prize...at his acceptance speech, he humbly stated he was undeserving of the honor, but I beg to differ...the prize of accomplishing the office of Presidency in America by a man of Black African heritage, is a testament to his life, all Americans of vision and African Americans in particular. The Prize is the paramount national and global vision that our President embodies.....and if anyone is concerned about the economy, with all the speculation, lies and projection of ideologies, the President's presence has undoubtedly spurred talk show hosts, pundits, and any other "wish i knew what the hell i was talking about"opportunists, to generate monies from the paymaster.........the election of President Barack Obama was achieved through a peaceful and bloodless process that some still try to invoke the ugliness of the base of human nature.....but, global life of peace, justice and happiness is the Prize of the Prize.

American Challenge

Senator Ted Kennedy extended his life beyond his family and friends to share as a public servant for all Americans. His championed work can be manifested in the application of justice and equality for all Americans. Many of us are sadden of his passing though he was persistent to brave the challenge to mold an ideal society till his last days. JFK, onced coined: " Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." If we can remove our mentality from a self serving and vain society of individuals, we can see the profound message that those who stood and stand for a prosperous and healthy nation for all this nations citizens, is we are bound as one people. We are all Americans destined to champion humanity's imperfections or are we just another failed experiment of intellectual, social and economic governance of humanity?

A claim to fame as the greatest civilization on the Planet Earth, The United States of America...lined with golden rules of humanity, civility and intellect unmatched by any nation has unmasked a deep contradiction through some of its misinformed and prejudicial citizens.

You would think a great debate and outrage would be over the billion dollar child pornography business or child abuse...or the billions of dollars ripped off by likes of Madoff and Wallstreet tycoons of investors, 401K, stocks, etc... merging and dismantling of corporations (shipping jobs overseas)to avoid domestic employment, health and retirement benefits for American workers...deaths of brave American men and women troops who fight unsubstantiated wars, but fight as a duty,...pollution, crime, uneducated masses, credit gouging......no outrage on any of the above issues mentioned during these past years ...immediately after Presidential election there is a need for outrage and where is the outrage?....healthcare reform for all Americans! A political ploy, masked as a cost factor. How can the Statue of Liberty ask for the tired, poor and etc. at the gateway to America, as some American citizens show rage and disrespect towards its own elected officials and fellow Americans over HEALTH! Complete hypocrisy and utter stupidity!

Distraction is quite an attraction, isn't it??? Chrysler/GM in and out of brief bankruptcy and on the road to solvency. Weak stock market hit 7,000 level under former administration and now over 9,000. Announcement made that some troops are on their way home from one of the unjustified wars this year. The entire planet loves America again because of President Obama, but not for long when they see the ugly face of racism emerge. Healthcare system on positive path to improvement since health insurance cost will no doubt keep rising with a shrunken work force, who must pay for risk. Downward sliding economy hits brakes and positions to regroup. Yet, all that is heard from the media and undermining politicians and pundits is President mispoke and should apologize about Professor's arrest(can you say trespassing when i.d. has been established?). Privacy Act?

The only one that needs to apologize are those who constantly harp on some fantasy of never being wrong even about slavery, jim crow, segregation, lynching.....shall i go on. The media has taken advantage of President Obama's promise of transparency and keeps him in the publics eye hoping that the population will grow weary, but yet always have a story of interest because it makes America seem as though all racism has been extracted, please. The whole world is watching and is not fooled by this bullsh**. If the President operates from behind closed doors and no longer gives you easy access to his staff, workers or himself then you'll cry foul, but without a doubt project another image and spin to thrust on the people. Learn to live and report as a genuine multi-cultured nation or brace yourself for a rude awakening....

We stand at a point in time where many jobs have gone overseas...and wonder what happened to the economy....Health coverage and payroll has always been the biggest liability for most companies, that's why the jobs went overseas. Profits, board members, and CEO pay had to be the ultimate measure at the end of the day. But, when there are less workers due to relocating jobs overseas and mergers, then there is less input to both accumulate national wealth and spread the risk factor for health coverage, thus health insurance cost increased.

Even huge pay differences between sectors of the population could not curtail the inevitable, there must be balance......Now the free market capitalists and lobbyists will scream "no higher taxes, socialism, and blah, blah, blah", the fact remains that when there is a denial of access to production, whether it is discrimination by race or economic stature, the whole gross national product is ultimately effected. There is no reason to debate whether denial of access for equality existed or exists, because at this point with an unprecedented economic demise, everyone pretty much feels the heat....what do we do about it now?

We work harder as one nation of people for the wellbeing of us all or continue to see the spiral down effect of mismanaged and discriminatory practices. We have perhaps, the greatest minds on the planet, here in America, yet face a dire, near catastrophic crisis from years of greed and selfishness. These minds must become a force for resolution. You can't have it both ways, as the saying goes," You can only serve one master". I'm afraid the master for America had been the DOLLAR, the ultimate prize, yet we claim to be a Christian nation, whatever that means. Because it damn sure doesn't mean abiding by the original laws of the Bible which banned usury(making profit from money) in the first place. This ethical and moral law was to be followed for a reason, mainly to avoid corruption and the craving for the DOLLAR in one's heart. Its too late to implement another monetary system, but is it too late to implement a genuine national brotherhood? If there is still national pride then now is the time to embrace each other in justice or witness the (Fall of Rome) before our very eyes...

Truth of Politics

Make no mistake, an intrique or manuevering unit within our national governing body's only goal is to be counterproductive to President Obama's agenda, that's politics. President Obama has health coverage already, he's trying to get it for YOU. Yeah, they'll throw out bait of all kinds, like: "spending our grandchildrens budget"....yet, there was no problem spending money (an estimate trillion dollars over 10 years) to enter a foreign country(Iraq) looking for some type of weapons and all that were found were 6 fighter jets(5 buried in the sand) and 3 battleships(inoperable). Iraq had a 2/3 no-fly zone already imposed on it, how were these "mysterious weapons" going to become mobile anyway, camel or horse and wagon? That's called wasteful or unintelligent spending. Politics is strange....this nation was gun-ho about financing a war against Iraq and Afghanistan which was the beginning of our economic demise, but for the health and wellbeing of its own citizens, no way, which is the beginning of economic growth. Could it be some politicians have a stake in the sale of military weapons, a deadly truth? Interest in oil? Guess what, still no Osama, only the killings of combatants who choose to fight and die against invaders and Coalition soldiers fighting as ordered. If i recall it was reported 15 of the 9/11 plane hi-jackers were Saudi renegade citizens and we are in Iraq and Afghanistan, huh??? Not that we should be at war with the Saudis, but what's really going on???? OIL. Another story.....

The current President's predecessor, Bush stated "the fundamentals of the economy are sound(strong)", several times, yet passed a stimulus package to bail the "sound economy" out of the throes of devastastion before leaving office. But, the agenda of the former President is not the issue as far as our solution, but is an issue as far as the problem. You see, there's an element within our governing body that doesn't want our current Presidents agendas to succeed even if it means blind siding the very people President Obama and they also swore to uphold in their best interest and livelihood.

President Obama was given the keys to a remarkable vehicle (national economy), by the former driver, Bush, who explained, "I thought the engine was running fine, but it needs a tune-up. So, i borrowed some money to have it repaired." A minor miscalculation accompanied the keys, yesterdays budget forecast has come and gone, welcome new day Trillions of dollar economy. Upon receiving the keys the current President and everybody riding in this remarkable vehicle realized, the engine is going out, we'll need a new engine or a new vehicle sooner than later(national economy and banking system). In the mean time there are some passengers who've gotten ill and can't receive care because the vehicle is puttering and stalling, yet, an element of those who make decisions about the operation of this remarkable vehicle tell those who are ill, it's a little costly to fix, so try to hang in there while we bs(govern). Those ill sometimes lose their homes, jobs, health and ultimately their lives as the remarkable vehicle waits on crucial decision makers.

Some politician's only sense of governing is to influence the minds of this nations citizens (passengers) that the remarkable vehicle isn't working properly because of who now has the keys, hoping the people won't see the truth of politics, deadly truth.

GOP senators have it wrong again....more pressure on Iran from U.S. government about Iran's Presidential election...are you serious? Was there any foreign intervention in the questionable 2000 U.S. Presidential election? Popular vote overturned by court decision and manipulation through the election night voter count/cover-up occured in the U.S. in the year 2000, the world observed, but did not interfere.
The President has voiced his opinion on the Iran matter and that is sufficient.
This nation is now paying its own price for voter deception from the 2000 election, so IF Iran has committed voter fraud, then that's for Iran to handle...Let's try this, help get the U.S. ECONOMY BACK ON TRACK, reform the healthcare system, remedy massive job loss, foreclosures, exit the 2 mega-costing wars, etc. because you stood around these past 9 years playing fiddles as (Rome) burned from the very fire you help set......put this national fire out before you point at smoke from another house....

World Conference To End All Racism

U.S. and Israel prepare to boycott the upcoming World Conference To End All Racism, hosted by the U.N. because of the language of final documents presented by the participating members toward Israel. Though the giant finger of accusation should not come to rest solely on the shoulders of Israel or the U.S., factually and institutionally there has been and remains racism from these nations or groups from these nations. There has been racism towards these nations as well, that is Israel and the U.S. Further, many other nations harbor racism in their countries as well......but, keep in mind.....the last time Israel and the U.S. boycotted the World Conference To End All Racism it was still held during the final weeks of August 2001 and ended September 7, 2001, four days later came the infamous 9/11/01.......coincidental....

FIRST 100 DAYS

Ever sought service or solution to a problem and dared visit or call a corporation or company just to find out, out of every 24 employees, only 3 or 4 know what the hell they are doing, the others are running around looking for the 3 or 4..... if its morning, some are drinking coffee and if its in the afternoon some are out having a few beers....which beverage is consumed is actually irrelevant...the point is that this scenario is model for the type of leadership from businesses and/or the government this nation had been used to for years.......In addition there was a significant demonstration (tea party) over taxes on 4/15/09. The demonstrators (tea party crowd), including a national television network that have "talking heads" who have "gotten in bed" with the promoters of the rally, FreedomWorks, are equivalent to the "balance of the 24 employees looking for leadership"....Now the executive officers of this organization are authentic in their talents (advocates of tax reform), but the organization's mission statement includes to aggressively seek media exposure and globally market the ideas of capitalism by any MEANS), opened the door for the "tea party" crowd to advocate everything from SEPARATION from the UNION to implication that our President is a Socialist, irresponsible spender, etc. and yet the crowd has no idea what to do as far as national solutions... further, at the very time of the demonstration the President had been briefed on the returning home from a successful rescue of American merchant seamen from high seas piracy, proposed a reform for a simpler tax system, addressed illegal drug and weapon exchanges between U.S. and Mexico and monitored the national budget, just to mention a few of his responsibilities during that one day...............it's sad, the urge to discredit the masterful and remarkable achievements of the current President , departments and staff's first 100 days is the motive behind much of the hype......by those trying to wake up with coffee or motivate themselves with beer........

IN OUR TIME

I know i am not alone as i balance rent, buying food, utilities, medicine and auto insurance at a seemingly impossible approach....yet i am thankful....the spirit and drive to be a positive person of integrity is rewarding in itself, something I learned from at the time, Senator Obama while he campaigned .............now I observe President Obama and Michelle travel

Europe and the MidEast with masterful intelligence and display the better part of their hearts in style, which should give all Americans pride....some will argue for argue sake...."he's no messiah, he reads scripts, wants to spend money" no he's not a messiah, but to utilize intelligence and speak from a good heart will defer one from being foolish...and foolish is what we've experienced as a nation that brought us to this point economically, intellectually, socially, globally and many other ....ly. Spending money isn't and wasn't the problem, foolishly spending and mismanaging money is the problem. There are no tele-promps in closed meetings with heads of States,......minds and hearts are present, key things that hadn't been used in awhile from former administrations....

Man had not matured as a spiritual or thinking being when deadly weapons were created...now still not spiritually mature in the 21st Century, we struggle with the consequence and the price of wars, in particular two wars that have crippled our economy and stressed our population to react with mass murders on a weekly scale, fear of job or home loss, anxiety of ample food, medication, etc. War is not the answer and as we now realize, it is costly in not just lives but livelihoods .... we have yet to learn, collectively we can either bless up this planet or mess up this planet, choice is ours....

After a brilliant victory and inauguration of our new President, there seems to be a faction of the population that dare suggest failure for our President is some how a form of patriotism while dismissing this nation's code of democratic election process. Amazed, but not at all surprised of (the small-minded) who use energy and so-called expertise to validate this madness of divisiveness...but, we remember so vividly there was no need to wish for failure to the former administration because this nation received more than failed leadership, but also a blinded plan of continuation as a great nation...patriotism is futile in the closed minds of some of those who perceive themselves as an asset to this nation, with no resolution other than tried failures of the recent past ..just like the commercial paper and over valued stocks that fuel the 'free market for profit diehards'...who also must realize other failures of the old system.....time to step up to the new era and be true patriotic American men and women of integrity for a different day, not jesters of crumbling divisive idealism of past years...

Idealism is as great as its positive impact on reality....the time to establish community and grass root activities has never ceded, only subsided....libraries, community centers, social service clinics, the internet and community colleges are prime central centers for establishing on-going educational information sources for health care and employment opportunities for many elgible American citizens and tax payers..I attended a movie documentary(Sicko) while in St. Petersburg, Fl, that was very informative and interesting...held at the main library of the city! A town hall styled discussion followed the movie, that allowed everyone willing to express their concerns. Local news channels(Bay News 9) and Fox, filmed and reported the event. This innovative approach to the dire change needed is but a start for the new year and new Presidential administration to address the 21st century issues...the creation of job opportunities and a national health care system are determined by organized, professional and driven cooperatives of private and public applications....

The paper money syndrome is useless(commercial paper, overvalued stocks, etc.)...the need for training of biomedical equip techs, librarians, locksmiths, systems analysts, firefighters, occupational therapists, school psychologists, engineers, physician assistants, management consultants, etc. can be collectively sponsored and invested by the unyielding money wizards to see a profit...because even if you have a business degree, its useless with an economy of unskilled and unemployed citizens to transact business with...

Obama intends to use the same system not designed by him, but the Founding Fathers, taxation.....if the pure capitalist Republicans have an argument, then raise the argument with the Constitution....taxation was written in before non-regulated free market or The Republican Party, my friends....Sen. Obama would like to bring balance to a corrupt and under managed government by taxing those who are fortunate enough to afford it, income of a quarter of a million dollars or more.....i've heard arguments from some about how hard they've worked and they're asked to share through taxes and i think about the Chinese immigrants that built the railroads and bridges, along side of Native Americans and African Americans, talk about hard work and taxing of their mind,body and souls,.... they paved the way for the greatness of America in various industries and yet received minimum to nill for those of future generations to enjoy...another argument; that the checks and balances will be altered if The White House, House and Senate are Democrat.,.....stupidity...first of all checks and balances are between the three branches of gov., legislative, judiciary and executive, there'll never be absolute power for any one person or group...and also the sleeping giant has awakened, The American People, thanks to Sen. Obama, you have 9 year olds studying political science and the voting age population has engaged in hands on politics as it should have been in 2000, but some were trusting of the Republican leadership and that leadership proved itself to be self serving, evident by current economic distress..... doubt if the people will be asleep at the wheel any more....argument: people are not questioning his security strength, they are just choosing him because the Republicans screwed up the economy...no one is punishing the gov. by electing Sen. Obama...he is the most intelligent choice...ask the soldiers if they'd rather fight for Sen. McCain or Sen. Obama, six to one support Sen. Obama...ask the nations of the world if America is threatened would they hesitate to show love and support for an America led by Pres. Obama, ask the hundreds of millions of people if they would rather work harmoniously in America under Pres. Obama and create quality trade in domestic and exported products...there is no argument other than for argument sake that the most effective leader, shown by his temperament, class and intelligence to inspire and manage people and money from grassroot levels upward, be elected as the leader of the people from diverse populations in Florida, Missouri, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio and Pa, along with the other great States that have already cast their opinions is Sen. Obama....and.........for the negative minds, this is a nation of democracy, not hypocracy...nor your brand of......self centered "all about me" profit-cy...

What's puzzling is...... Sen. McCain was selected as Republican Party nominee several months before the Democratic Party nominee was selected to launch his campaign agenda, so what in the world had he been waiting on to state what his presidential platform was about?...All i'd heard was "maverick" and "POW". Now he claims he is the under dog, no, he is under par, under water, no one of great leadership skills needs that much time to organize a platform and execute it....his plan apparently has been to listen and observe what Sen. Obama says and does then jump around with hundreds of attack strategies.......and not yet say what he is running for president for...now he claims to be campaigning for the middleclass...he's never even brought the subject up in any debates, press conference or rallies until Sen. Obama laid out his proposals for the working families months ago and was questioned about his tax plan(less than 2 weeks ago)....example of stumbles, agrees with joint bipartisan statement suggested by Sen. Obama, but released to the press by McCain as if it was his idea, suspends campaigning, but interviews with Katie, "fundamentals of our economy are strong"........a few hours after that statement "i mean the workers are strong"..What?? Chose a female VP partner once Sen. Clinton's female supporters didn't bite the bait he dangled...but his female choice has no idea what the position's requirements are and still has difficulty doing an interview with or without him by her side(pathetic)....there is something off beat about his whole campaign...negative ads about a United States Senator being a socialist and accompanying terrorists...none of these accusations had been remotely considered while Senator Obama has served his country as a public servant in Illinois or on Capitol Hill because there would have been charges brought against him by now, right? The only charges of law breaking is slander and deceit, not to mention death threats shouted during McCain's campaign rallies toward a U.S. Senator, (federal offense)......but you can expect that from an unprepared and desperate candidate ( Sen.McCain) and his campaign staff.......but i am not puzzled any more about what McCain had been doing to prepare for the general election...........it was nothing intelligently.....just like he's doing now....

McCain, inability to display leadership during initial meltdown of Wall Street, negative themes toward opponent and narrowing of the value of core Republican Party members and ideologies.......Sen. McCain dismisses the endorsement as not being a serious blow and attempts to cast himself as "guardian of the middle class" another clever ploy....McCain jumps around in his strategic themes almost as much as he wanders back and forth on stage during debates...but even though Sen. McCain appears beaten, Sen. Obama is not in the White House until after the election....there was a boxing match where one opponent was whipped all through the fight decisively, yet in the last round with fifteen seconds to the bell, out of nowhere a right hook, took the until that moment assumed winner, to the canvas....the loser dropped his guard and was knock out so bad the credits were still rolling on the TV screen as he continued to lie stretched out on the canvas, so instead of taking for granted the race is over because of the impact from the endorsement of a military and foreign policy genius..... Afraid Sen. McCain is like a man in quicksand, can't find solid ground to stand on...every time he reaches for a tree branch for support it breaks off....he just doesn't have the arsenal of solutions for the American families...without batting an eye he thought Joe the Plumber (representative of average Joe) was some how detrimental towards Sen. Obama so he played it up that the guy questioned Sen. Obama's plan to tax families whose income is over 250,000.00 a year....but McCain didn't know that Joe wasn't a licensed plumber and wasn't financially anywhere near acquiring the business he worked for as he had said, though the company he works for has license, the company said they don't generate anywhere near 250,000.00 annually and not any plumbers they know does, even though some of the larger ones do....now McCain says the media is smearing Joe the Plumber....but, he's the one who introduce the world to Joe...Joe owes back taxes also....whew..... then McCain's camp calls Sen. Obama a liar because Sen. Obama says that McCain's health care plan will tax the insurance coverage cost to the employee, they say McCain's plan will not tax procedures or medication, but his camp didn't say that the coverage would not be taxed...McCain is ready to cut Medicare and damage the already fragile livelihood of over 50 million Americans that includes retirees and the disabled, since Pres. Bush was unable to destroy Social Security if it had've been privatized and placed on the stock market, he would have, McCain wants to try his hand at it, at least cutting out parts of the benefits. Next, McCain offers a 5,000.00 credit to purchase insurance coverage for workers, while the average family insurance coverage cost is over 12,000.00, not going to go over too well buddy. He said economics wasn't his strong suit and neither is it for his advisors...and here are some other not so strong decisions, Sarah Palin, Ayers, surge, surge, ACORN, Sen. Obama's spending plan, tax plan....McCain spends too much time on attacks and will not stay focused on any issue, not one, that's why he doesn't have a grasp on the economy or much of anything else...like I said before, McCain deserves respect, but he is not the man for the Oval Office, there is no Maverick Oval Office manual, so he will only resort to the Republican manual book and paths and those are paths of destruction....AIG, Fannie, Freddie, Lehman Brothers, Washington Mutual and a number of banks, GM, 700 billion dollar rescue plan, stock market sitting on a fault line, loss of homes, loss of jobs, and the list continues.....

Obama to accompany him to the White House, you knew then he didn't want to be the only candidate to photo-op with Bush....(his gratitude for hijacking Sen. Obama's joint statement-bipartisan suggestion, right), but, all this time, Sen. This nation is on course for a financial disaster.....all the rhetoric about small government and deregulations gave green lights to massive free wheeling and dealing, whether scrupulous or not, but still at a treacherous price, this was the Republican Party at its best for 6 years.....the very characteristic that the Republican Party made claims of.... being pure capitalist and not socialist has proven quite the opposite.... bailout of more and more private companies are now day to day and are under a government umbrella(socialism)....so The Senate stalls another borrowing fiasco because with or without another bailout, this country has 8 years of compounded debt that is spiraling out of comprehension, inflated stock value and deflated dollar value is a recipe for a catastrophic economy...more Republican policies will strangle the financial life out of this nation(there are still several weeks left)..........therefore a Sen. Obama victory is the long road to recovery, but at least there is hope and a change for recovery...otherwise there is no hope and no change, only more miserable conditions of a failed system

Palin...but when the novelty wears off and she begins to repeat the same tired lines and the realization that she and her running mate's only strategy is to criticize Sen.Obama because there is no diplomatic strength in either of them, what then.............and when someone asks how can you profess change if you want to drill with the same big companies and further damage our environment and still not relieve the fuel dependency plight....how can you profess change if you continue wars that create not only lost lives, but disabled American soldiers who have little medical or financial care once they return home......how can you profess change when you have a national economy with lethal symptoms and your advisers diagnose it as an illusion....how can you......remedy a failing healthcare system that your advisers say, "you can always go to the emergency room"......any idea what you are going to do about the job loss, education, energy, mortgage crisis, cost of living expenses...she nor her boss, have any idea what to do other than watch Sen. Obama's moves and come out with attack strategies. That's all McCain's been doing throughout the campaign and now she's jumped on board with the same game plan, one of little thought processing......... their appeal will be to those who have that same mentality......

Palin's selection was a cosmetic application and one to vitalize an otherwise dead and bland party.....McCain needed someone attractive with speaking skills, he has none...so she spoke well from script but there was no originality....and what is the Republican Party's platform anyway??...where are the issues??...the points of achievement and resolutions...there are none....she said the same attack words, pratically verbatim as the other piranhas.....no executive experience...blah blah blah...community organizer...blah blah blah...idealist...blah blah blah.......she's a great manipulator of words with a plastic smile, well it just manipulated those of us who see through the transparency of desperation to get in full throttle and effectively continue calling and door knocking and networking and exposing the true meaning behind the none issue party(Republican National Party), which is one that exercises....division of a desperately needed united people, no economic, healthcare, environmental, educational or any other national solution....but..... their strength is... lords of war...that's why there is so much emphasis on prisoner of war experience by Sen.McCain...little mention that most of his military service was one of poor decisions and few decorated accomplishments, he did accomplished one thing, became a model prisoner that survived.........and......Why are the U.S. troops being negotiated to remain in Iraq for at least three or more years by the current administration?... But, that's minimal compared to the new storm, the storm of media twist and spin, legislative power struggles that result in inactivity or manipulation and the executive branch will fair no better as we see glimpses of unusual administrative authority to dismiss indictments, orders of non-participation of state members to see a fellow American and a request for an increase in the cost of personal protection for the presidential candidates, mainly Sen. Obama. But Sen. Obama is like a young eagle. See, the powerful wings of an eagle separates it from ordinary birds of the air. The eagle will use those wings to fly above the storm and look about with clear vision. Leaving those flightless birds or less powerful ones to grimace in jealousy and contempt in the very storm they created. Remember, though this eagle may not have the same appearance as the Founding Fathers of this nation, the idea to rise above the storm and strive for a more perfect union by imperfect man is nevertheless, the same. I've seen the magazine cartoon depicting Sen.Obama and Michelle Obama as gun wielding and turban wearing terrorists....and the reaction of many was to cancel their subscription and ask the managers of stores selling The New Yorker to pull it from shelves...these are diplomatic and tactful ways to deal with such irresponsible and child minded individuals. If i subscribed to the magazine or affiliates, i too would cancel my subscription and write the publisher.

The only reason to illustrate such an image is to make reference to Sen. Obama's African name. To influence those of limited scruples to associate the senator with Islam. Well it doesn't work that way because many African Americans have American names and for some reason are not considered patriotic Americans so why is it so convenient to associate his African name with him being African and Muslim. Senator Obama was born and raised an American citizen. With every right as the next American to exercise those rights associated with his citizenship and to worship as a Christian.

Grow up and be accountable for your actions. The acts of war and violence are not drawn out on paper, they are young men and women coming back home with missing limbs, brain damage or in a coffin. I attended a "unite for change" meeting at the Democratic Party HQ in Columbia, SC that was incredible. There was a video of Sen. Barack Obama in which he made a point that stuck with me. He said that the lobbyists and special interest groups were highly effective because they were ORGANIZED for their purpose. So must the volunteers, supporters, campaigners and staff of the Democratic Party be for Sen. Barack Obama.
There have been very few periods in the course of history with this much at stake for this nation. Neither has there been this much enthusiasm to correct the ills of this nation through the efforts of the people. But enthusiasm alone, can't resolve the many issues that are out of hand. It will and must take an organized effort of knowledgeable citizens to pursue this endeavor. We can't just elect Sen. Barack Obama and then sit back, but we as a nation must continue to be just as enthused and persistent about the resolution of the pressing issues.
