This is precisely the flaw in your logic: you pick and choose what is to be interpreted literally and what isn't. Then you have the gall to say that another person's interpretations are incorrect?

Get a clue and crack a book for once in your life

Abortion:

    Hosea 9:11-16 Hosea prays for God’s intervention. “Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. Give them, 0 Lord: what wilt thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. . .Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.” Clearly Hosea desires that the people of Ephraim can no longer have children. God of course obeys by making all their unborn children miscarry. Is not terminating a pregnancy unnaturally “abortion”?

    Numbers 5:11-21 The description of a bizarre, brutal and abusive ritual to be performed on a wife SUSPECTED of adultery. This is considered to be an induced abortion to rid a woman of another man’s child.

Numbers 31:17 (Moses) “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every women that hath known man by lying with him.” In other words: women that might be pregnant, which clearly is abortion for the fetus.

Hosea 13:16 God promises to dash to pieces the infants of Samaria and the “their women with child shall be ripped up”. Once again this god kills the unborn, including their pregnant mothers.

2 Kings 15:16 God allows the pregnant women of Tappuah (aka Tiphsah) to be “ripped open”. And the Christians have the audacity to say god is pro-life. How and the hell is it that Christians can read passages where God allows pregnant women to be murdered, yet still claim abortion is wrong?

1 Samuel 15:3 God commands the death of helpless "suckling" infants. This literally means that the children god killed were still nursing.

Psalms 135:8 & 136:10 Here god is praised for slaughtering little babies.

Psalms 137:9 Here god commands that infants should be “dashed upon the rocks”.

Leviticus 20:9 “For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.”

Judges 11:30-40 Jephthah killed his young daughter (his only child) by burning her alive as a burnt sacrifice to the lord for he commanded it.

Psalms 137:8-9 Prayer/song of vengeance “0 daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.”

Exodus 12:29 God killed, intentionally, every first-born child of every family in Egypt, simply because he was upset at the Pharaoh. And god caused the Pharaoh’s actions in the first place. Since when is it appropriate to murder children for their ruler’s forced action?

Exodus 20:9-10 God commands death for cursing out ones parents Joshua 8 God commanded the deaths of 12,000 men, women, and children of Ai. They were all slain in the ambush that was planned by god.

2 Kings 2:23-24 The prophet Elisha, was being picked on by some young boys from the city because of his bald head. The prophet turned around and cursed them in the Lords name. Then, two female bears came out of the woods and killed forty-two of them. You would think that God could understand that sometimes the youthful make childish jokes. Calling someone “bald head” is far from being worthy of death.

Leviticus 26:30 “And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.”

1 Samuel 15:11-18 God repents of having made Saul king since Saul refused to carry out God’s commandments (i.e., Saul refused to murder all the innocent women and children.) At least god realizes what an immoral, murderous pig he is on this one.

I Kings 16:34 Laying the foundation for a city using your firstborn child and using your youngest son to set up the gates.

Isaiah 13:15-18 If God can find you, he will “thrust you through,” smash your children “to pieces” before your eyes, and rape your wife.

Jeremiah 11:22-23 God will kill the young men in war and starve their children to death.

Jeremiah 19:7-9 God will make parents eat their own children, and friends eat each other.

Lamentations 2:20-22 God gets angry and mercilessly torments and kills everyone, young and old. He even causes women to eat their children.

Child abuse:

Genesis 22:9 & 10 “And they came to the place which God had told him of and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.” It matters not that god let Abraham get out of murdering Isaac. To put a knife up to your son’s throat is child abuse.

I Kings 3:24-25 “And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other." This test was of course given to see who the real mother of the child was. Christians view this king as a wise man. I look upon his suggestion with far more revulsion then I give accredit to Susan Smith.

Proverbs 13:24, 19:18, 22:15, 23:13-14 & 29:15 God commands repeatedly that you beat your children.

Matthew 19:29 If you really loved Jesus then he insists that you abandon your wife and children for him. Only that way will he allow you to go to heaven. (That is if you meet his other hefty requirements, don’t slip through the loopholes, and ignore the contradictions.)

Mark 7:9 Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law.

    In conclusion I shall end this list with a verse that should keep the pro lifers in check. It is Romans 13: 1-7

“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which god has established. The authorities that exist have been established by god. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what god has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.     Clearly it is the job of Christians to obey the laws, and the laws of this country clearly state that abortion is legal. So too should Christians respect and honor that law. God commands them to NOT disobey, which entails attempting to get the law overturned. If god wanted abortion to be illegal he wouldn’t have appointed authorities to make it legal.

"Who Is the REAL Joe Wurzelbacher?"

A lot has been made of the now (in)famous "Joe the Plumber" after both candidates practically fallated him on national television for 90 minutes. But, as ~~Beauty School Dropout~~ Republican VP nominee, Sarah Palin likes to chide, we need to ask ourselves, "Who is the REAL Joe Wurzelbacher?"

Well, after some digging, it seems that all that pandering was for naught, as a search of the Ohio SOS website (you'll have to search) reveals, Mr. Joe the Plumber is not even registered to vote in the upcoming election.

It also seems that Mr. Wurzelbacher and family aren't necessarily in as tight a situation as Senator McCain would have you believe. A quick search on any small business directory pulls up six companies with the family name (four of which trace back to Joe, himself) in the Greater Cincinnati area - the only place where any Joe/Joseph Wurzelbachers can be found in my state.

Another Company - JCC Investments, Inc. - is also accredited to this "poor, poor plumber" whose chance at the American Dream is supposedly being shattered by Senator Obama's policy. Oh...and don't forget Ervin's Remodeling biz.

This poor, poor family.

Finally, let's not let loose from our minds another intriguing point. The Daily Kos is indicating that our poor friend Joe may also be related to big-time Republican donor Robert Wurzelbacher of Keating 5 infamy. (Link)

Let's see...He's not poor or even middle-class by any stretch of the imagination, he has called Obama and the idea of a Progressive Tax "Socialist", has been on right-wing blogs for over a week now, and interviewed (pre-debate) on right-wing shows.

BraveNewPAC has started a petition demanding that John McCain stop using hatred, baiting and other such filth on the campaign trail.

This is my posted comment:

Senator McCain,

From the first time I was introduced to you at the age of 15 through CSPAN and other media outlets, I had a tremendous amount of respect for your (former) positions and (former) heroism.

That respect is lost now.

Senator McCain, you were victimized during the 2000 campaign by vicious smears and lies. One would think that a former victim of such filth with any sense of dignity would do anything in their power to prevent another human being from enduring it in the future. "One" would be wrong.

Your heroism, your once respectable stances on the issues, as well as your desire to serve our great nation, have now taken a back seat only to your political ambition.

This saddens me.

Beyond this, you have now resorted to baiting your audiences through suggestive and hateful rhetoric - even to the point where they are audibly making death threats to your opponent.

Not only have you ignored and refused to repudiate these disgusting calls, you continue to stoke the fire along with your running mate (yet another reason I have lost my respect for you - but that's for another day).

John - can I call you John? - please bring back your dignity and your honor by first repudiating these abhorrent and illegal threats and then by controlling your own campaign and refusing to stand for hateful and hate-inspiring speech on the stump.

I'm somewhat at a loss.

How do you fight blatant ignorance? How do we convince the American public to actually do some digging for the truth instead of believing whatever crap the GOP regurgitates?

Since I was a small child, I've always been the type to research almost ANY claim I heard to find more sides to a story and facts. Apparently I'm the only one who does, because there are people who actually believe this stupid bullshit about Obama "palling around with terrorists", or that he's not a "real" American, etc etc etc....

There is direct proof to the contrary of all of these statements being thrown out there, and no one wants to pay attention to them.

I'm sure that some people have convinced themselves of these things because it allows them a "reason" to not vote for the black guy without feeling like a racist. "Oh, he's buddies with terrorists. That works!"

But for those who are just too damn lazy to look up the facts, how do I approach these things with them? I've tried providing links and sources, I've tried talking calmly, and it just doesn't get through their thick skulls.

Some outright disgusting tirades have been shouted by McCain-Palin supporters in the past week, with no reaction from the candidates but a smirk.

No corrections.

No condemnations.

Make no mistake about it, John McCain and Sarah Palin heard these remarks. Both did nothing but smile and continue their hate-filled diatribes.

You know as well as I do that the Obama campaign would not stand for such outbursts against their opponent. If during one of Senator Obama's speaches, someone proclaimed John McCain a terrorist, a traitor, or suggested his demise, you can bet your bottom dollar that he would stop mid-sentence, set the person straight, and have them removed.

John McCain, however, truly wants you and the rest of the country to believe that Obama is a terrorist. He does not have the stones, however, to come out and say such a shameful thing. Instead, he and his beauty-pageant-failure of a VP pick will throw out small bits and phrases, mistruths and innuendos - hoping lesser-minded bigots will make a connection and spread it to the masses.

Their campaign thrives on the notion that you can never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

These fear-mongering campaign tactics are absolutely deplorable, and even more sickening is McCain's and Palin's refusal to discredit such filth.

Call me naive, but I had faith in McCain's promise that he would run a respectful, issues-only campaign. I had this faith because I remembered the man he was in 2000 when running against George W. Bush. I watched him fall victim to these same despicable tactics and knew - just knew - that he would never let someone go through the same things he did.

It is for these exact reasons that McCain has lost the respect of the American people. More importantly, he has lost respect for himself.

Folks, this is NO time to be complacent in this campaign. McCain and his "campaign" are seeing the tailspin in the polls, and they're desperate. This is crunch time, ladies and gentlemen. This final few weeks is where the campaign will be won or lost. This is the time where we, as Americans, tell the rest of the world one of two things:

...that we are perfectly fine with an economy in shambles, a completely unnecessary war, and being the laughingstock of the civilized (and not-so-civilized) world...or
that we are ready to turn the page on the failures of the last 8 years, restore our standing in the world, and return our country to its people and restore its true greatness.

With some of the sleaziest campaign tactics in history coming from the other side, we have to remain vigilant. As despicable and incredible as the smears coming from McCain may be, they have worked quite well in the past, and believe it or not, there are people who fall for this crap.

This is why it is more important than ever to get out and get active in this campaign!

Go out and knock on doors. Start making calls to voters (especially in swing states like my home of Ohio!!). Talk to random people in line at the bank. Inform! Inform! INFORM! Let these people know the truth and let them know that the McCain campaign is counting on American ignorance in order to win this election!

We kicked some tail in getting folks registered for the primaries and the election, but registrations mean nothing without votes!!!!

Yes, there have been great advances in technology that allow disabled persons to dictate to email/word processing programs through voice technology.

Yes, it IS at least a little insulting to vets who have more serious injuries who are more than capable of using a computer or writing emails.

Yes, John McCain himself said he was computer illiterate.

However, I think it was a dumb move on the part of our campaign to have run the ad they did because it simply opens us up to the attack that we're "mocking wounded vets." We all know that isn't true, and we have plenty of ammo to defend the ad (see above), but please, if anyone working from the campaign is reading this:

Don't make us work so hard to defend a negative ad again

Could this be any better?? Every time Sarah Palin opens her mouth, it's like we strike political gold.

This lady is living proof that ANY idiot can be a ~~Republican~~ candidate. Has anyone seen the Couric interview? I laughed so hard I almost peed.

It's obvious Palin has no business anywhere near a presidential campaign, let alone the White House. I used to worry about what would happen if people were somehow duped into voting for the ~~McShame~~ McCain/Palin ticket, but the more she speaks, the more I realize that no one in this country would be dumb enough to put her in the second most powerful position in the world.

Keep talking, Sarah. At this rate, we won't even have to campaign - we can just let her own incompetence bury their campaign!

To Hillary Supporters - A Kinder Version

I'll admit that I've been pretty snarky to those who are demanding Hillary as Barack Obama's VP. Here are my thoughts on the situation without sarcasm (or as close as I can get):

There are several reasons why many of us do not want to have Senator Clinton on this ticket. I'm not going into much detail, because I don't want this to come across as a slam post against her. However, there were several things said by Hillary and her surrogates that were very detrimental to Obama's campaign and the party itself. If, just a few months ago, she alluded to the fact that this man was not ready to be president, how could you possibly expect him to want her as his second-in-command?

There are several "baggage" issues involved as well, and frankly, with the church Obama attended, we have plenty of that on our own already. :)

Add to this Bill's lack of disclosure of donations to his library fund (or if he does reveal them, the possibility of them coming from "less than helpful" sources), and the blind hatred many republicans feel toward the Clintons causing a huge wave of Right-Wing nutjobs voting just to vote against Clinton. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Many of us also have a problem with her style, which clashes with the "hope" message this campaign embodies.

I have to say that the thing that I'm most bothered by is the fact that some of these supporters are demanding that Hillary be placed on the ticket as VP. I'm not saying it to rub salt in the wound, but Hillary lost. She is in no position to be makind demands at this point.

I have other reasons, but like I said, I don't want this to be a "Slam Hillary" post. I want it to be a calm explanation of why many of us would prefer that she is not on the same ticket.

I'm more than willing to see your responses. :)

Actually...the only change Hillary Clinton offers is a uterus. Without that, she is the same ole' lobbyist-owned, double-speaking, flimsy positioned politician that we see every day.

Same fear-mongering (a la 3AM).

Same lying (snipers & fuzzy math).

Same ole story.

Also, politics is not a game of brand loyalty. If the Kennedy's believed (like the majority of people who participated in this primary) that Obama would be the better candidate - not just for the General - for AMERICA, they have every right to throw their full-fledged support behind him. The Clinton's are not OWED their votes, nor anyone else's.

So let's recap:

I'm sorry folks, but I'm not buying into this "Obama better do (insert campaign-killing idea here) or I'm voting for McCain" attempt at strong-arming us into whatever a small sliver of Clinton supporters want our campaign to do.

#1 - This is not Hillary's campaign anymore. If Hillary had won (which she did not), she could have a say in the VP pick. If Obama were trying to force his way onto the ticket, her supporters would find the argument laughable.

#2 - McCain has NOTHING to offer Clinton supporters. His position on the war, healthcare, the economy, and civil rights are almost polar opposites to what they've supported over the past year and a half. Not to mention, McCain would only be a detriment to her female supporters, as he has not supported equal pay initiatives, nor women in combat. Not to mention he wants American women to go back to the days of back-alley abortions when he has Roe v. Wade overturned.

There is absolutely no good reason for them to vote McCain. Unless some of these people really want every one of the causes that they have spent the last year and a half fighting for go completely out the window.

I know this. They know this. You would think, however, that they would have learned through this primary that our candidate is not so easily swayed by political strong-arming, nor are his supporters so gullible.

The right has an ever-expanding sea of 527's and other attack machines who will very willingly lie and distort the truth in any way possible to somehow make McCain look like a better choice than Future President Obama.

We have alluded to the fact that some of Hillary's nastier tactics were remniscent of those from the Republican playbook. Well, my friends, we're now facing those Republicans and not just a Democrat posing as one. (I'll concede and let myself think that Hillary was doing this with the sole intention of toughening B-Rock up a bit.)

We are going to see and hear some nasty things over the next 5 months, and we need to be prepared and willing to fight against it!

Maybe I'm just stuck in some distant past and dragging my knuckles as I walk, but I never knew calling a woman "sweetie" was offensive. I'm a 24 year-old man, and I have to say that I refer to a lot of women by names like "sweetie" or "hun," etc.

Is this really that offensive? I'm really looking for serious feedback, because if I'm unwittingly offending a throng of women on an almost-daily basis, I'm going to feel like a complete ass.

I just wanted to give everyone out there a quick memo regarding our responses to new posters.

When someone new joins the Obama site, many times they are simply looking for information on our candidate. On one such occasion, a new member named Mac had posted an entry with a few questions about the campaign, and was wondering just what made Senator Obama a better candidate than Mrs. Clinton.

I, like I always try to do, responded with the factual information he was looking for, and sent a friend request with an offering to continue conversations about the issues and the candidates. Not once did I go negative toward Hillary.

My take on this subject is this: Even those who are legitimate trolls posting to fan a flame are potential converts. They've just been subjected to so many lies and distortions, that it has become truth to them.

I think we need to welcome these possible new supporters (trolls and non-trolls alike!), and arm them with as much information as possible.

The more they know, the more likely I believe they would be to vote for our candidate. When you think about it, Senator Clinton's campaign has been mostly based on disinformation and spin over the past several weeks, and she was able to get 55% of PA voters to believe it.

We need to fight back with information, courtesy, and truth. If we do, there will be no stopping us!

That's right, everyone. The rules of the Democratic primary are very clear. Earn the delegates, earn the nomination.

It is now impossible for Hillary Clinton to win the nomination by any legitimate means. The only way for Hillary to become the Democratic nominee is to steal the nomination. I don't think people are stressing this point enough. We are still referring to it as her "winning," but it could not be any further from the truth.

The only way for her to walk away with the nomination would be to go against party rules, disregard the voice of the people, disregard the delegates, and strong-arm the supers into submission.

No longer refer to her "winning" the nomination. Let it be known that it would truly be a THEFT!

I remember a point, back when John Edwards was still in the current primary race, when he had said to America something to the effect of, "If you don't want to vote for Senator Obama because of the fact that he's black, I don't want your vote."

I remember thinking of that as being a pretty classy thing to say. For those who don't want to vote for Barack due to racial prejudice, John Edwards didn't want your vote...Hillary Clinton, however, will take it with a smile.

When I think about the recent media "coverage" of this primary season, I have to say that I have been continually amazed by the lengths the media has sunk in order to manufacture a story and grab readers' attention. In fact, it kind of reminds me of an episode of Saturday Night Live comes to mind. The exchange goes as follows:

Trebek: Whatever. Let's move on to "Current U.S. Presidents", for $400. And the answer is: "He is the current U.S. President." [ no responses, so more clue is revealed ] "He has white hair, and you've probably seen him in the news.." "..His first name is 'Bill'.." [ no responses ] "..Mr. Goldblum, I know for a fact you had dinner with him recently.." "..His last name is Clinton!.." "..His name is Bill Clinton, please someone simply say, 'Who is Bill Clinton?'." [ still no responses ] Someone just say it! Anyone. [ timer sounds ] ..And the show has reached a new low.

At a time when our nation faces a multitude of crucial issues, the press has seemed content to focus on quick, attention-grabbing trivial matters instead of reporting on the problems that are affecting our everyday lives as Americans. Today, I'm afraid, is no different.

Basically we had another one who decided to wait until they've defected from Obamaland to sign up and post. He had spun "cling-gate" to be offensive to religious folk.... Here's my reply:

Jim,

I believe you have misunderstood the basis of what Senator Obama has said, and it's okay because you are not the only ones. He, himself, stated that he "mangled" that thought. I would encourage you to seek out his explanations post-comment.

The statement was one of worry that voters who have become disheartened and - dare I say it - bitter are easily encouraged to vote against their own economic interests with the use of wedge issues such as guns, god, and gays. It has, unfortunately, been a successful political tool in the past, and millions of people are fooled into voting on issues that pale in comparison to the staggering problems our nation faces.

This is not to say that one's faith is a "small issue."

Senator Obama has NEVER said that religion is a crutch for those weak in heart or mind.

I'm not sure why, if you were a supporter of Obama, you only chose your time of contempt to join his site and post. Your description of "you liberals" tells me you never supported Obama in the first place, but that's another discussion.

Several weeks ago, most were saying anything less than a 10 point Clinton victory in the upcoming Pennsylvania primary would really be a victory for the Obama campaign. As we look at the polls, we are seeing Senator Obama narrowing the once-hefty lead Mrs. Clinton previously held. In one case, Obama is even shown to have a slight lead in PA.

This is great news - but (and this is a big but) it is no reason for us to relax our efforts on behalf of Senator Obama's campaign!

We need to continue on and keep pushing this movement forward! Hillary's advisors have already said that they should drop out if they lose in Indiana - that's assuming they win Pennsylvania before it. If we are able to keep up our current pace and take the PA primary, this competition is over.

Everyone has been doing such a great job throughout this campaign, and it's definitely paying off. Don't stop now, everyone; let's nail the coffin shut and gear up for what will most-assuredly be a tough fight against John McCain and the Republicans!

It has been well documented that, when the DNC originally stated that the two states' delegates would not be counted due to violations of party rules, Hillary and her campaign agreed with those rules. As a matter of fact, two of her top advisors voted to punish the states for holding their primary too early.

My, how quickly the tune changes when Hillary's campaign is now flailing it's arms and grasping at straws to stay in the race. Now, Hillary "believes" that the votes should count, and that the delegates should be seated. Not only is she being disingenuous about this, she is also blaming Barack Obama for not allowing them to redo their primaries.

It has been well documented that Senator Obama will accept a re-vote on any terms the DNC deems fit.

Say "No" to an Obama/Clinton Ticket

I've heard several people say that, in order to stop the bleeding (read: democrats jumping ship if their candidate is not the nominee), the two remaining Democratic candidates should join forces and run on one "super ticket."

BAD. IDEA.

Regardless of whether Hillary would be the #1 or the #2 on said ticket, Republicans are foaming at the mouth for the opportunity to campaign against Hillary. They have LOADS of material just waiting to be used, and if Barack Obama decided to bring her along on the ride as a consolation prize, it will only serve as a detriment to his campaign.

Even without that reason, Obama has run his campaign as one that will rise above the negative, the fear-mongering, the lobby influence, and Mrs. Clinton is the antithesis of these goals.

For every time Hillary says or does something detrimental to the party, or the election, donate $10 (or whatever you can afford - I know I'm not going to be able to afford that much!) to the Obama cause! Sure, we may all be broke by Tuesday, but it's a great idea!

If you could sum up the current administration with one word, what would that word be?

Fear? War?

If you asked any number of Americans, those would likely be some common responses. My one word summation, however, comes straight from the horse's mouth: "So?"

That was the response of our nation's Vice President, Dick Cheney, when he was asked by ABC News' Martha Raddatz what he felt about the opinions of two-thirds of the country's citizens regarding the Iraq war, its worth, and its costs.

"So." As in, "so what?" or "so, who cares?"

Americans don't want their soldiers sent to die in a mission that was "accomplished" almost five years ago? So what? This has been a common response to the American people throughout this presidency regarding foreign policy, civil rights & liberties, and a multitude of other issues we've faced over the past 7½ years.

Never before, in my opinion, have so few letters so perfectly embodied the attitude and mantra of an administration.

What word(s) would you use to describe this presidency?

We Have a Choice

Never in my lifetime have we, as Americans, been offered the priviledge to be a part of such history as we are during this election. Unfortunately, it seems that many are happy to waste said opportunity.

As Senator Obama so eloquently put it during his monumental speech yesterday:

"...we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle...or in the wake of tragedy...or as fodder for the nightly news. We can play Reverend Wright’s sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she’s playing the race card, or we can speculate on whether white men will all flock to John McCain in the general election regardless of his policies.

We can do that.

But if we do, I can tell you that in the next election, we’ll be talking about some other distraction. And then another one. And then another one. And nothing will change"

We have a choice, ladies and gentlemen, and we have been presented with a historic opportunity.

We are being given the opportunity to take a stand against fear-mongering, against smear campaigns, against corporate greed, and against, not a lobby-dominated Washington, but a lobby-owned Washington. We are being given the opportunity to sow the seeds of a new American politics - and a new America.

However, there are people - even within our own party - who continue to fight against this opportunity. They want to continue the exploitation and spread of fear, and they want to feed the growth of the politics which is only willing to present the issues that stand entirely aside of the true problems that face our beloved country.

Chances like this come few and far between, and we may not get another like it within our lifetimes. I, for one, want to be able to someday look back upon this time and not only say that I was a part of something great, but to say that I was a part of something great that changed our lives, our country, and our world for the better.

We Have a Choice, ladies and gentlemen, that could change everything. Let us not look back on this time and say that we tried; let us look back on this time and say that we did.
