On June 27th we will be supporting OFA's National Health Care Day of Service by hosting an educational healthcare community event. This event stems from this past Saturday's National Kick-Off of Health Care Reforum events to begin the Grassroots movements and to pull the communities together to take action. It was a great turn-out and I hope to see this group grow.

It's Been Too Long -IT'S TIME TO GET TO WORK! What's Your Issue?

Mine is Health Care! It's been awhile since I've interacted on this site and blog, and have hosted a community event. But with my discontentment with our health care system and how our government allows the pharmacutical and insurance companies to dictate how our doctors practice medicine, along with the medical system itself being one of the most closed minded and irresponsible business practices that ever exsisted, I had to jump on the opportunity when asked by the President to host a Community Health Care Reforum Meeting to get the nation on the same page and focused on changing things.

On Saturday, June 6, 2009 12:00 - 2:00pm in the city of Dania Beach I invite you to join me and a group of concerned citizens and residents who want to be informed of Obama's new health care reforum plans as well as, and equally as important, have an opportunity to be a part of the type of change that takes place!

I don't know yet the details of the agenda, but that is forth coming in the next week. As the information is received, it will be communicated to all who sign up. This meeting is for anyone who wants to attend as Health Care reforum is a County & State issue and it's going to take the support of ALL the residents and communities in Florida. This is the FIRST kick-off gathering for communites ll over the country to get America focused, educated and ready to step up to make it happen! It's time to get to work! It's time to make it happen!

WHERE ARE WE BLACK AMERICA?

It's time to get out in the public folks and let the world know who you want to be your next president of the United States! I have held two events at my home and I have yet to see anyone of color attend. Oh yes, there was one and then there was me! :-)

It's nice to see that "other" nationalities are out in full-force pushing for a Black Man to be our next president! But I would now like to see my people of color come out in support! This is all about money folks, and if we wait until the last minute like we tend to do, we are going to loose! And you'll have no right to complain about nothing....if that happens!

I am going to be planning another event soon. Not only to raise funds, but to also get folks registered to vote! There are too many of us out here who are not registered to vote and this is the sole reason for not going to the polls! Let's bring the voter registration drives into the neighborhoods! Universities and College campuses are good, but lots of people who can vote, don't go to college! It's these voters that we need and who also need OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT! Let's bring the right to vote home...right into the soul of the communities across america! LET'S MAKE IT EASY FOR PEOPLE TO GET REGISTERED TO VOTE AND TO VOTE ON ELECTION DAY! LET'S GET PEOPLE EDUCATED AND BRING THE VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVES AND THE POLLS TO THE PEOPLE!
