To My Obama Family

A friend of mine said some time back that we are in trying times, and we as ObamaNation have been given an awesome charge to complete. If we fail at the charge that has been given to us by the source of higher being, than we have failed at redeming ourselves. We have to stand strong as one voice, one power, and one determination for one outcome. And that outcome is for Barack Obama to become the next POTUS. Our children, and grandchildren are depending on us to get this thing right. "We Are The Change".

McCain and his untruths!!

Here is several paragraphs about John McCain and his first marriage. This makes me so uneasy about McCain because he is truely comming across as a liar in a big way. At this point I am beginning to question even his POW status. Seem like McCain has a lot of fabricated and down right lie

July 11, 2008 Outside her Bel-Air home, Nancy Reagan stood arm in arm with John McCain and offered a significant -- but less than exuberant -- endorsement.

"Ronnie and I always waited until everything was decided, and then we endorsed," the Republican matriarch said in March. "Well, obviously this is the nominee of the party." They were the only words she would speak during the five-minute photo op.

In a written statement, she described McCain as "a good friend for over 30 years." But that friendship was strained in the late 1970s by McCain's decision to divorce his first wife, Carol, who was particularly close to the Reagans, and within weeks marry Cindy Hensley, the young heiress to a lucrative Arizona beer distributorship.

The Reagans rushed to help Carol, finding her a new home in Southern California with the family of Reagan aide Edwin Meese III and a series of political and White House jobs to ease her through that difficult time.

McCain, who is about to become the GOP nominee, has made several statements about how he divorced Carol and married Hensley that conflict with the public record.

In his 2002 memoir, "Worth the Fighting For," McCain wrote that he had separated from Carol before he began dating Hensley.

"I spent as much time with Cindy in Washington and Arizona as our jobs would allow," McCain wrote. "I was separated from Carol, but our divorce would not become final until February of 1980."

An examination of court documents tells a different story. McCain did not sue his wife for divorce until Feb. 19, 1980, and he wrote in his court petition that he and his wife had "cohabited" until Jan. 7 of that year -- or for the first nine months of his relationship with Hensley.

Although McCain suggested in his autobiography that months passed between his divorce and remarriage, the divorce was granted April 2, 1980, and he wed Hensley in a private ceremony five weeks later. McCain obtained an Arizona marriage license on March 6, 1980, while still legally married to his first wifes he is involved in. You be the judge!!!

P.S.) As a married woman with 4 grown children, this story about John McCain makes me so uneasy. I think many women need to read more of this article, and understand the behavior of John McCain and the treatment of women. There is a pattern here and it ain't pretty.

Former Senator Graham emotionally wants this to be a "mental slowdown," because otherwise, he would have to admit (to himself) his own culpability in our current economic crisis.

Sometimes former Senator Graham is "lovingly" referred to as Senator Graham (R-Enron)-- I say, "lovingly" because those of us in California have such an affection for that Company (Enron) that came into our state like the James Gang and robbed us blind all while the FERC and our President sat idly by and watched (and which robbery is largely the cause of our existing State debt which will probably result in either reduced preventive healthcare here, or fewer teachers-- thanks Enron! You know we Californians (and all of your out of luck pensioners and employees) just "love" you!).

AND former Senator Graham (who is incidentally a key adviser to Senator John Sidney McCain III's campaign) also helped Al Quaeda -- I am not joking. From Crooks & Liars:

"UBS, a bank for which Gramm lobbied, is now under investigation for alleged use of overseas tax havens to hide assets of its wealthy clients from U.S. authorities — while in office, Gramm also supported these tax havens after 9/11, which hampered the government’s ability to track Osama bin Laden’s financial network before 9/11."

Nice, yes? Former Senator Graham has a lot of explaining to do -- but he is deferring those explanations by claiming all of our problems are in our own heads (and not caused in any way by his own dubious activities on behalf of UBS (and Enron) both while in office and out of office as UBS' lobbyist.

PSS. ) SO is this reason why John McCain and his Advisors think that we the American People are Whinners? Enough Media. Enough of hiding and lying for the McCain/Bush/Cheney type of Government. We, the American People have had enough. Do your job as Journalist, and Report the facts, report the truth, also good journalist have good morals and can't be bought.

WOW. This was truly a riveting statement. It also brings the honest truth of oppression many African Americans have gone through and still go through into fruition......let us do our part and encourge as many as we can......get out and VOTE!!!!!! Have a great day.....

Because He's Black, NO, BUT BECAUSE HE IS HOPE AND CHANGE
This older white guy asked his older black friend, 'Are you voting for Barack Obama just because he's black'?
So the older black guy fires back and says, 'Are you not voting for him because he's black?
Why can't I vote for him just cause he's black?
Hell in this country men are pulled over everyday just cause their black, passed over for promotions just cause their black, considered to be criminals just cause their black, but you don't seem to have a problem with that
This country was built with the sweat and whip off the slaves back, and now a descendent of those same slaves has a chance to lead the same country where we weren't even considered to be people,
Where we weren't allowed to be educated, drink from the same water fountains, eat in the same restaurants, or even vote, so you damn right I'm going to vote for him!
Not just because he's black,
But because he is hope, he is change, and he now allows me to understand when my grandson says he wants to be president when he grows up, it is not a fairy tale but a short term goal,
Because he sees, understand, and knows, he can achieve, withstand, and do anything just because he's black!

P.S.) Now please know that this is intended to activate everyone deep thinking and acknowledement of what Barack Obama is bringing to the world.. He is bringing a deeper understanding of what is meant by "We Are Our Brother's Keeper".

I read your post and I am moved. I have experienced loss in my life due to cancer, but my Grandmother use to tell me this story that I want to pass on to my Obama Family. We are right now the holders of the pencil that will draw the roadmap for the next generation to follow. We have to use our pencils wisely, and we have to draw a map that is so clear and easy to read. That way our children and grandchildren will not get lost in the wilderness.

DEEPENING COMPASSION

A little girl was sent on an errand by her mother. She took much too long in coming back. Mother, therefore, demanded an explanation when she filally did return. The little girl explained that on her way she had met a little friend who was crying because she had broken her doll. "Oh," said the mother, "then you stopped to help her fix her doll?" "Oh, no," replied the little girl. "I stopped to help her cry."

ObamaNation we have to be the Nation's keeper. This is how I feel for all of you. When you cry I will stretch my arms across the miles that seperate us so that I can wipe your tears. When you laugh I will join in the celebration. Now the Country that we love needs repairing and we all must use our skills, talents, and tools to repair a broken Country because I hear it crying.

A government that truly represents these Americans that truly serves these Americans will require a different kind of politics.
