Are counting on us to elect Obama. The rest of the world is watching... very closely... and some people in this "party" are acting like fools. Ain't on our team, but it is divisive isn't it? Come on, OHIO. O-H-I-O! My home state, get Baracking! And if everything is bigger in Texas, so should Senator Obama's margin of victory!

Yesterday was pretty impressive considering the Potomac states are where a good chunk of federal employees live. It's kind of like they were voicing who they wanted to be their next boss. LOL.

Keep on Pushing, y'all.

Don't let fear keep your friends from voting for anyone, especially Obama. I was speaking to some co-workers today. One much younger one said that she and her friends weren't going to vote for Barack because they feared for him. That's a nice (though naive) sentiment, but not a good reason to keep from voting on Super Tuesday. I expressed to her that it Obama's in it to win and that we should all have faith that voting for him is the right thing to do.

Ah, my Obama pins arrived in time to sport at the gala premiere of Martin Lawrence's new comedy, "Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins." It was very cool to see many luminaries and attendees who were accessorized with Obama buttons. The first I noticed was on the lovely Alfre Woodard, who repaid my compliment in kind. And the buzz that wasn't about the movie during the party was about Barack Obama. People here in L.A. are ready to Barack The Vote!

Ain't Backing Down From Backing Barack!

Thanks to those volunteers and BHO supporters who reached out to me in the past 36 hours since my twilight zone experience at the Valley HQ.

Senator Obama is still my man. I'm just gonna forget all about the gung ho foolios and hope and pray that they find a little balance and that the coordinators succeed in urging them to chill out.

'Cause when Obama wins on February 5 and I want to show up at the HQ and be welcomed (and not pressed to phone bank). Because voting for Obama is the most important work any right-minded American citizen can do right now.

Like Curtis Mayfield said, "Keep On Pushing!"

But I am still waiting for my Obama Swag to arrive. Anyone else encountering slow mail service?

Uncomfortable at Valley HQ

I went to the "Grand Opening" of the Obama HQ in the valley last night. Man, was that uncomfortable. I'm already down with BHO. You don't have to put on the high pressure to phone bank when I tell you I'm just stopping in because I was invited to "check it out." It was very cultish and unfriendly. I was planning on buying Obama merch, because mine hasn't arrived after 12 days, but I didn't even want to do that. Everyone was aggro & patronizing and they had no idea about me or my experience. My wife who is undecided said she was equally creeped out.

Bad start Valley HQ. Bad start.

I'll take Senator Obama's fairy tale over the other choices. MLK. LBJ. BLT. LOL.

Can't say as I've ever celebrated "Lyndon Johnson Day" recently. Or anything else that has faded from memory of the Great Society. Maybe I'm too young to know or care. But there's a reason why Dr. King resonates with nearly all people to this day.

Thriller!

It's been a thrilling week, watching Obama make history winning the Iowa Caucus. As another African-American/Caucasian-American, it was truly special on a personal level. But what really impressed me was Obama's grace, then vigor, in defeat in New Hampshire. Yes, We Can! What a rallying cry. That was the greatest political speech of my generation. I certainly was moved to join the Obama movement to reclaim America.

I've set up a fundraising page. Guess I shoulda donated after setting it up, so my thermometer would have a lil' something in it. Oh, well. Just means, I'll have to save some more pennies. I've set a very modest goal for my personal donation page. So any of my friends and family who feel likewise about Obama and America, please join me in supporting this worthy cause.
