Michelle Obama's Speech...

Wow!!! I cannot believe that anyone could have given a speech that compared in significance to Barrack Obama's speech on race issues in the United States, but Michelle Obama gave the speech of my lifetime on Aug.25th at the DNC. I can tell you honestly that I actually cried 3 times during her speech and these were not tears that came from the surface. These were tears and emotions that welled up inside of me from the depths of my soul. These were tears that I had no control over and had not expected. These were tears that I was actually surprised by as they happened. I mean that I was seriously taken by surprise when I felt the outpouring of emotion that surfaced as I watched and listened to Michelle speak to what I, as an American woman, mother, sister and daughter have felt and believed about not only our struggles, but our triumphs in these most difficult times. Now is the time to HOPE, ACT AND BELIEVE IN THE FUTURE OF AMERICA! What an amazing time for all women. What an amazing time for all Americans!

I believe so deeply in Sen.Barack Obama as our next President and Michelle Obama's speech just made that so much more apparent!!!

Go Obama!!!!

-Mary Noriega

Omaha, Ne

Nebraska's caucus experience...

I just experienced my first Nebraska caucus! The negative part was that they didn't expect to have the turnout that they experienced in my county and there was only one location selected to caucus. The line just to get into the location was a 25+ minute wait. The parking lot at the high school was completely filled and people were parking on the grass and along access rodes. It was freezing cold outside and when we got inside, it was unbearably hot and stuffy... hard to breath. People were literally afraid that they were going to pass out! Then, when we got in, we waited more than an hour before the caucus began and we were moved 3 times before we could actually show our support for our chosen candidate...Barack Obama!!! The absolute best part of it was that when we were asked to move to the area to show our support, the Obama supporters out-numbered the Hillary supporters by 80%!!! The Hillary campaign gave out many signs and unfortunately the Obama campaign said that they were only given a few signs and they ran out quickly. Although it was not well planned out, it was amazing and worth every minute after my vote was counted! We are ready for change and Obama is the man who can make it happen! Go Barack!!! Nebraska supports you as our next President!
