Good Evening...I have met here some of the most interesting, intense and PATRIOTIC people I've ever encountered right here on this site.

I sure hope that we won't loose touch.

I haven't been blogging or spending time on the site because the demands on the ground (calling, canvassing, entering results data and other campaign related work) has taken my attention and energy and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just in case I don't get back any time soon, I just want to say thank you to all I've encountered and bless your every breath!

Normally I don't let this changing score thing bother me...but I'm disappointed to see I have only been performing at 6/10 ths of what I could be doing to get the Obama-Biden ticket elected because I'm out in the real world canvassing, calling and completing data base entry, creating phone lists, calling others to volunteer and basically making my life about this election until it's done...6/10? Seriously? Do away with it completely if we can't input real world activities.

In my mind and heart, I am at peace...

I see newly elected President Obama speaking to a huge sea of people, smilling, with tears in their eyes. I hear him thanking his family, his supporters and staff. I hear him reminding us of the high ideals and reason for all of the work...all of the calls, all of the fund raising. Reminding us that we are one country and that the healing must begin in order for the restoration to be full

I see President Obama taking his oath of office before millions, no billions of people around the world. I see him addressing the people of this nation and this world with confidence, with reassuring but honest words, reminding us that it's not his to do; that it's ours.

I see President Obama and his Cabinet presenting solutions, finding compromises that work for the betterment of the country.

I feel the tide turning; I feel the strength and hope returning. I feel the hatred subsiding; I feel the old fears of the past this disharmony fading into the past, where it belongs.

I know that this will and can be...what do you see?

We don't promote one religion over another in the United States.

We don't discriminate against a religous belief in the United States.

We are not a Christian country, a Jewish country, a Hindu country, a Buddist country or a Muslim country.

We are a country that welcomes all faiths, all colors, all cultures to live together and to enjoy freedom of religion and an opportunity to pursue happiness as we perceive happiness.

There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, it is wrong to paint the Muslim faith as evil, or bad.

The fact that some believe that anyone should die because of their faith in the 21st Century is just sad.

The one's who are terrorists are not practicing the faith as intended but have twisted it to meet their ideals.

It is an insult to the basis of this country to insult the Muslim faith and to suggest that we are somehow creating more war/terrorism by electing Barack Obama...who is a Christian man (whether you believe it or not, after all, this is something between a soul and his/her maker).

The Real Issue Isn't Voter Fraud, It's Vote Suppression (Joe Rothstein's Commentary)

The latest polls seem to have created a tidal wave of euphoria among Obama supporters.

Excuse me if I don't get swept away along with it.

I still remember going to bed thinking Gore was elected in 2000 after the networks called Florida for him. In 2004, I read through exit poll numbers the afternoon of the election and discovered that John Kerry would defeat George Bush.

As a political consultant I've been in more campaigns than I would like to count where minority candidates underperformed final polling expectations.

I'm expecting a squeaker on November 4.

Support for Obama looks too fragile to expect otherwise. We've yet to hear from Osama bin Laden, who weighed in, you'll remember, on the eve of the 2004 election. We've yet to see any last minute action by the White House that could change the national conversation in McCain's favor.

There are some powerful unplayed cards still in the deck----the most powerful being vote suppression.

Let's not forget that tens of thousands of potential Gore supporters were removed from the Florida voting rolls just before the 2000 election by a state administration headed by George Bush's brother. Or that a shift of 65,000 votes in Ohio in 2004 would have elected John Kerry. Ohio's chief voting official that year was also Bush's Ohio campaign manager. Post-election investigations turned up plenty of accounts of how Democratic voters were either taken off the rolls or discouraged from voting by various suppression techniques.

These things can't happen again, you say?

Well, let's see.

The New York Times ran a story the other day which revealed that in many swing states twice as many voters have been dropped from the rolls as have been newly registered.

These states are illegally using Social Security information to verify voter registration, and dropping voters from the rolls within 90 days of the election---which also is against the law. The states in question include Michigan, Ohio, Colorado, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina., Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana.

Another vote suppression technique is to send out bad information to target groups, such as out-of-state students. The Republican clerk of El Paso County, Colorado recently informed local college students that if their parents lived outside of Colorado and claimed them as dependents they couldn't register or vote in Colorado. Nailed on it, the clerk finally admitted it wasn't true. But the same story was given to students in Virginia and South Carolina..

An old favorite in the vote suppression tool kit is to spread erroneous information anonymously, such as the fliers distributed in black neighborhoods of Philadelphia recently warning residents that undercover cops would be at polling places looking for people with unpaid traffic tickets.

One of the most effective ways to stop people from voting is a game called “vote caging.” This is when letters are mailed to registered voters asking them to verify their addresses. If they don't respond they may either be taken off the rolls or have their votes challenged on election day. This technique is particularly effective with low income groups and voters who are mobile, such as students.

During the past few weeks Michigan and Ohio Democrats have been fighting off Republican-led efforts to cast doubts about voting eligibility for people facing mortgage foreclosure.

And in Nevada, Ohio, Wisconsin and elsewhere Democratic voters have been receiving something that looks like an absentee ballot, mailed by a no-name Ohio organization. How many Democrats will use them, thinking that they are real?

John McCain and the Republican apparatus have been complaining lately that ACORN, a voter registration group, is engaged in wholesale illegal registrations. That's the smokescreen. The real story is what seems to be a concerted nationwide effort by Republicans to undo this year's record registration drive and to drive away from the polls a decisive number of those who might vote Democratic.

Hard to believe?

I've been in campaigns where we passed out coffee and other goodies to workers standing in long lines to vote because somehow enough machines didn't show up in Democratic precincts, and where platoons of lawyers tried to deny ballots to qualified voters. I know these things happen and that they often work. Both parties have done their share.

But in recent years Republicans have been managing vote suppression on a grand scale at the highest levels of state and federal government. Keep in mind the recent Justice Department report that condemned former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and others in the department for firing U.S. attorneys who wouldn't aggressively charge voter fraud where they couldn't find it. Playing politics with the voter rolls is not a game the Republicans invented, but they have been particularly effective with it over the past few election cycles.

I can read the current public opinion polls that forecast an Obama sweep. But based on past experience, I see many hurdles yet before this race is over.

The saddest thing about the KLAN or any of the hate groups is that they use religion to promote their hateful beliefs. It makes me sad and makes me wonder what God is thinking about it.

Here's a story from the Australian news where Bob lives:

THREE Australian cities have been targeted by offshoots of the Ku Klux Klan over recent months in an apparent recruiting drive by white supremacists.

Toowoomba was targeted first by leaflets that asked people to become a klansman or klanswoman in March.

Shortly afterwards, Cairns was targeted and then Rockhampton, last month, by a different group, Storm Front.

In Toowoomba and Cairns the pamphlets promoted the US-based White Legion Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

Its website has an Australian page featuring propaganda presented as fact about African and Asian immigration, Aboriginal crime, the homosexuality agenda and - an old favourite - Jewish influence in the media.

Queensland Attorney-General Kerry Shine, a Toowoomba MP, referred the pamphlets to the state's Anti-Discrimination Commissioner, Susan Booth.

"Toowoomba is a very tolerant city," Mr Shine told The Australian when the KKK first struck.

"I believe any form of racial vilification is abhorrent."

B'nai B'rith Anti-Defamation Commission executive officer Manny Waks said the Storm Front flyers in Rockhampton called for "real" Australians to join white supremacist movements and to fight against crimes allegedly committed by ethnic groups.

Mr Waks said the leaflet drops indicated a recruitment drive. "It is outrageous that in this time and age the KKK and Storm Front are still active in our tolerant and peaceful country," he said.

"No Australian should be affiliated in any way, shape or form with these vile, racist groups. We must ensure that the impressionable youth does not get influenced by these racists to join its minuscule ranks."

The Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission said that the leaflets incited hatred and provoked people to harm others. Queensland Police have also investigated each of the leaflet drops.

"There is no doubt that the KKK and Storm Front are at best on the fringe of Australian society, but it is always concerning to see any activity coming from such quarters," Mr Waks said.

"It is a reminder that blatant racism still exists in our multicultural Australia and that we must remain vigilant and be willing to take swift action to combat such individuals and organisations when the need arises."

I was making volunteer calls tonight and found myself wondering if people thought that Obama-Biden had announced that they were leaving the state and callingn it won. When I'd ask, people explained that school had started, that the football season had started, that their lives got busier with the seasonal change. They explained that they couldn't really spare time as they had. None seemed to wish the candidate anything less than victory, but somehow despite the dire situation that the country remains in. Despite the continued efforts by the McCain/Palin ticket, the RNC and the 527 groups (not to mention the FAKE Authors and FAKE charity organizations) supporters, who had volunteered before are in a position of false security. BECAUSE OF POLLS? BECAUSE OF AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A MAN WHO HAS MADE LYING HIS PRIMARY STRATEGY?

Anyone who knows my "handle" here and has read blogs I've written in the past, knows that I try to maintain a positive outlook....so please don't take this as a jab...but for those of you who have lost your desire to give of your time; effort..."WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKIN"? "IS YOUR MEMORY SO SHORT?" "DOES THE NAME JOHN KERRY RING A BELL?" "DID YOU EVER HEAR OF A GUY NAMED AL GORE?"

The deadline for registering is Monday...make sure that you have your forms with you and you ask everyone you see if they're registered...today, I registered the clerk at the gas station I frequent. He's a citizen since 1977 and hasn't ever been registered before...said he's tired of seeing the country he came to going down the tubes.

I urge everyone to be dilligent, be audacious....let's bring this country back together.

LEWISTON, Idaho - Jolee Bacon really sizzles when it comes to hog-calling.

The northern Idaho woman took first place Saturday in the competition at the Nez Perce County Fair.

She has raised several champion pigs for 4-H contests. Bacon says she calls pigs every morning and night with her 9-year-old daughter, Jacey.

Bacon won the crown over as she started her hog call with a few loud snorts and a long, drawn-out "sooey."

Cliff Kincaid, serves as editor of the Accuracy in Media (AIM) Report.

A veteran journalist and media critic, Cliff concentrated in journalism and communications at the University of Toledo, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and came to Washington through a national journalism program headed by conservative author and journalist M. Stanton Evans. At his college newspaper, Cliff won an award for editorial writing from the Society of Professional Journalists.

AIM chairman Reed Irvine hired Cliff as an intern and then a staffer in 1978. Cliff has been associated with AIM in some capacity ever since.

Fascism is the integration of the government into one or more of these elements industry, business traffic, and economics. George W. bush is directing the government to intervene in one or more these elements of industry, business traffic, and economics to undermine market forces and economic principles.

George W. Bush has seized dictatorial control and has compromised the United States Constitution by his actions of disregarding the voice of both houses of congress. We the United States are presently in a severe energy crisis the oil industries have recorded consecutive enormous profits. The oil industries are continuing to receive unneeded subsidies from the American taxpayers; for financial relief to the oil industries from when they where also in a similar state of crisis years back. As the American taxpayers are feeling the brunt of this present energy crisis the oil industry refuses to yield their taxpayers subsidies the oil industry has only one person protecting them that is George W. Bush. George W. Bush protection to the oil industry is unreasonable.

Both houses of congress have voted and proposed to transfer the present subsidies the oil industries are receiving to alternative energy programs those programs would enhance a variety of methods of alternative energy while these programs would also increase our vital national security. This is also a principle of economics law of substitutions which is a natural occurring event in ecomomies. Although, this law of substitutions can not occur when the industry that are in competition is either an oligopoly or monopoly which should be recognized by even a C student from Yale in economic that would be George W. Bush. For George W. Bush not to demand the oil industries to relinquish these subsides from the American taxpayers is clearly an act of classical fascism.

Fascism :A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.

During the period from 1929 to 1932 a great "turn to the left" took place in the Soviet Union. Tens of thousands of activist workers went from the cities to help the poor peasants collectivize the countryside. The five-year plan, to begin the industrialization of the country, was begun. Brand-new industries sprang up; whole cities, like Komsomolsk and Magnitogorsk, were built from nothing, through the communist enthusiasm and dedication of hundreds of thousands of workers and youth. In the throes of this enthusiasm, a recruitment drive brought the majority of the Soviet working class into the Communist Party.

Parallel with these economic developments, left-wing forces pushed for a working-class line in literature, art, and education. Schools and colleges gave preferential admission to workers; communist writers and artists challenged themselves and their colleagues to "serve the working class" in whatever they did. It was truly a "cultural revolution," as some bourgeois scholars have termed it. 1

Taken together, these developments can be seen as the first attempt in human history to create an entirely new society based upon the working class! The profound importance of this period for workers and their allies everywhere cannot be overestimated.

These advances could be unleashed only because a left-wing line -- Stalin's line -- had won out in the central Communist Part debates of the 1920s. Naturally, this period horrifies capitalists and anti-working class forces. They would like to portray it, and everything that came after it, as a terrible time. And so they do in this program, through lies -- saying things happened that never did -- as well as by omission -- leaving out important events, like those mentioned above. This article will concentrate on exposing the lies.

Collectivization

There was much real support for collectivization among the poorer peasants, and among peasant women especially. Many hated the "kulaks" -- the rich peasants who, along with the priests, traditionally controlled village life -- as did many workers, most of whom were first- or second-generation away from the village and who remembered its oppression. But you would never guess it from this program, which portrays collectivization as an inhuman onslaught against a defenseless peasantry.

The lies about the "man-made famine" of 1932-33 are repeated, with the fabricated stories of 5 to 7 million deaths and phony photographs taken, without acknowledgement, from the Volga famine of 1921-22. A long series appeared in Challenge-Desafio three years ago on this question; 3 ; its arguments will not be repeated here, except to say that bourgeois, capitalist scholars have themselves long since exposed this nonsense [ed. -- to go to the first article of this earlier series on the "Hoax of the 'Man-Made Famine' in the Ukraine", click here .]

The Murder of Sergei Kirov

A long section of the film is devoted to trying to show that Stalin was responsible for the murder of Kirov, his closest ally in the leadership of the Communist Party. The film takes its argument from a recent book by professional anti-communist liar and British Secret Service agent Robert Conquest. 4 Though Conquest repeats over and over in his book that Stalin's guilt is "proven," in fact he has no decent evidence at all! A recent (and very polite) review of Conquest's book points out how dishonest it is, and repeats that there is apparently no Soviet evidence of Stalin's guilt -- for the best of reasons, we might add! 5

The International Communist Movement

Just over one minute of the program is devoted to the Communist International, or Comintern. We are told that "it was all Trotsky's idea," "Stalin disliked foreigners," -- complete lies! The Comintern also partook of the "left turn" during the period 1929-32, which witnessed the most class-conscious, revolutionary efforts of workers towards the goal of communist revolution. Far from a xenophobic madman, as the film portrays him, Stalin himself led the struggle, ultimately unsuccessful, to rid the communist parties of their right-wing leadership and tendencies during this period.

The Trials and the "Terror"

The most striking part of Stalin, Part II focuses on the arrests, imprisonments, trials and executions which followed Kirov's murder in December 1934. The period from 1934 to the war is described as one of "terror," when millions were wrongly killed and everyone lived in fear (although, incongruously, we are also told that "for many people, life was better"). The film portrays all this as a result of Stalin's "greed for power," and paranoia. This too is all rubbish.

Some important trials were held in 1935 and 1936, of high-ranking Party officials who were accused of anti-Party conspiracies and industrial sabotage. That the conspiracies, including contact with Trotsky abroad, and secret factionalizing existed, has been proven by bourgeois scholars. 6 As for the sabotage, both émigrés and American engineers working as consultants in the USSR at the time attest to it, particularly suspecting Yuri Pyatakov, in fact charged with sabotage in his 1936 trial 7

The real wave of arrests, imprisonments, and executions, during which many innocent people were unquestionably punished or killed, did not in fact occur until the Soviet government uncovered a massive treasonable conspiracy involving top party and military leaders, in May 1937. Much circumstantial evidence exists to confirm this plot, and the NKVD (political police) reacted in panic. 8

Following Conquest, Cohen and other liars, the film estimates 8 to 14 million persons killed as a result of the "terror." Conquest's death figures have been disproven and mocked by more responsible bourgeois scholars. 9

One of them (still a ferocious anti-Communist) recently estimated the death toll at 75,000 - 200,000 10 , or one one-hundredth of the figures given in the film and book!

Why the numbers game? Isn't this level of deaths "bad enough" for the anti-Communists? No! They realize that their audience knows millions have been killed by capitalists in the name of anti- communism and for exploitation. They know that anti-Communism can be effective only if workers can be convinced that communism is worse than the worst form of capitalism -- fascism. Hitler killed 20 million Soviet citizens [ed. -- actually, more like 28 million, as the Russian government revealed a few years ago], Hitlerism was capitalism -- therefore, they must "prove" that Stalin was even worse! Hence the lies.

My post a few weeks ago on Sarah Palin acting as Barack Obama’s psychological shadow triggered a lot of people. I thought it would be worthwhile to talk about how one deals with the shadow once it breaks out and begins to disrupt things. But first a short recap: The emergence of Gov. Palin wasn’t simply startling — it was inexplicable. How could 20% of women voters suddenly turn toward her when Palin stands for erasing forty years of feminism? How could the mentality of a small-town mayor morph into a potential President making global decisions? To explain her meteoric rise, I offered the idea that each of us harbors a shadow, a place where our hidden impulses live. By appealing to fear, resentment, hostility to change, suspicion of “the other,” and similar dark impulses, the Republicans have been the shadow’s party for a long time. Sarah Palin put a smiling face on feelings that normally we feel ashamed of.

The shadow is irrational; it thrives on gut emotions. (A recent Fox News poll ran with the headline, “In their gut, independents choose McCain.”) Bringing the 2008 campaign down to the gut level means bringing it down to the level of the shadow. Instead of listening to an intelligent, persuasive, charismatic man with one African-American parent, people get to say, “I just don’t like blacks. They’re scary; they’re not like me. It’s a gut thing.” Only it’s not. It’s a shadow thing that each of us, not just the right wing, must deal with. Reacting to Palin with fear, confusion, panic, and lashing out also comes from the shadow.

People who were shocked and dismayed by the Palin effect generally don’t know how to handle shadow energies. Here are a few salient points:

Don’t panic — The shadow is built into your psyche, and when it brings fear, hostility, and resentment to the surface, those feelings want to get out. They cause disruption, but your panic only makes them stick around longer.
Try not to be overwhelmed — Eruptions from the shadow are transitory. If you don’t encourage them, these energies dissipate naturally. If you are overwhelmed, however, the net result is exhaustion and loss of energy.
Remind yourself who you really are — You are much more than your shadow, because your aspirations, hopes, and dreams keep advancing despite the shadow’s apparent power. Pay the least attention to these disruptions as you need to calm down and no more.
Keep a clear focus — The shadow creates disorder and runaway emotions. If you focus on your purpose and remain rational, you will anchor yourself to a more stable reality.
Don’t fight fire with fire — If you sink to the level of dark energies, you will be fighting on their terms, and the likelihood is that you will lose.

If we translate these points into current politics, they are clearly applicable. The Democrats were triggered by Palin because they fear losing and that fear runs deep. The bogeymen that frighten us the most come from a primitive level; they stir a sense of childish helplessness. But your mature self, like Obama’s campaign organization, is coherent and knows how to carry out its purpose. Realize that American politics has been dominated by shadow issues for decades, so it’s only natural they still have claws and teeth. But their game has gotten old and tired. If you are able to see past the appeal to fear and resentment, have trust that other people can, too.

The bottom line is that the 2008 election isn’t about change versus experience or a noble candidate who may lose to one who plays dirty. This election is about consciousness. Since the Reagan revolution, consciousness has been sleepy and dull in politics; ideals have been tarnished by cynicism; inner decay has sapped the party in power of its original purpose, leaving only a pointless morass of defensiveness that expresses itself in negativity. If the majority of the electorate wakes up and feels inspired to turn the page, that will happen. Obama has sounded the call; few people missed the message. Now it’s a matter of dealing with a phase of fear and resistance before we discover if stuck consciousness is ready to move ahead.

I have the power to stay in peace.” Jesus put it this way in John 14:27, “Stop allowing yourself to be upset and disturbed.” Notice it’s a decision you have to make. Decide today to keep your joy and peace.

Change your approach and believe that God is directing your steps. Believe that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. As you do, you’ll keep your joy and you will experience God’s blessing, and favor, and live the life of victory He has in store!

Good Evening-Morning Everyone...

I was just viewing the road blog for today and what struck me was how genuine Senator Obama is and how the people were relating to him on a real level. As I was being blessed by this view, I thought to myself "Won't it be wonderful to have a leader that is loved by the people again".

It's difficult in the midst of the campaign, with all of the information that's flying about. The upsetting things that are said and written to remember that we are all one....even the one's who don't agree with us and even the one's who are saying and doing pretty reprehensible things. Once all of this is over, after January 20th...we are all of us ONE NATION with ONE PRESIDENT.

I'm not saying that we don't answer EVERY LIE with TRUTH

I'm just saying to give yourselves a break and imagine that day...three months after that day, then six, then nine, then one year, two years, three years, RE-ELECTION and then four more...what change do you imagine?

Do that; it's much better to focus on what is to be than it is to let your mind carry you to wprse case scemarios.

Isn't why we support Obama-Biden much more important than why we're not supporting the others?

If you know the facts, positions and platforms, the personalities are only secondary.

Frankly, it makes me sick to read/hear the anti-you know who stuff, just like it makes me sick to read/hear the anti-Obama/Biden stuff. I don't think it has any place and the sooner we reject it out of hand, the better off we'll be as a society. I think that kind of trivilization over such an important matter as who's to lead this country is a frankly Un-American.

This isn't BIG BROTHER, it isn't American Idol, it's not Survivor or the Amazing Race. I couldn't care less and find it an insult to my senses to have presented to me as news BS like whether or not SP's child is hers or her teen daughter. It doesn't answer the questions of party platform and whether she would prove to be a good VP (and of course she is simply not qualified). What does make a difference is the sleazy, cynical fanatism that has continued to dominate the once proud and patriotic Republican party. Participating in their dance of death is fool hardy and exactly what they want...as long as we focus on the characterization of the candidates instead of the substance of the issues...we loose.

A quick analysis:

Republicans: Continue tax cuts for top 5%, who as we speak are Profit taking via their stock in Oil Companies & Haloburtin and being bailed out by the tax payer for their deceptive mortgage/loan practices propogated by the turn the other way policies of the President and Republican Congress. Continue in a war that has no exit strategy and no legitimate cause. Increase our military though a means that they won't call the draft, but will be compulsory as they are continuing to make aggressive moves in Pakistan, Georgia and have alienated Russia. Continue to hold the American people hostage to the drum beat of National Security. There appears to be no domestic policy plan and the answer to our energy woes seem to be two words said in succession "drill baby drill".

Democrats: While failing in the two years that Congress has been majority, a Democratic Administration would be able to proceed with many of the policy changes that have been stifled under the current administration. A Democratic Admin/Congress would surely make and follow a concrete and reasonable strategy of withdrawl from Iraq and redirection of efforts where Al-Qaida & the Taliban are. A Democratic Admin/Congress will use Diplomacy first and war last. A Democratic Administration will close loop holes and discontinue the "trickle down" economic plan that has brought us to our financial knees and threatens the world economy. A Democratic Administration will re-focus our domestic energy policy to investing in green energy and only drill where the safest conditions exist. A Democratic Administration will be INCLUSIVE of all Americans.

We know the differences. We know why change must be. We know what we must do. Please remain focused on who WE ARE.

The following is an exersize for your mind, emotion and heart that you are invited to use every day, as many times as you wish until November forth and beyond....here goes:

Think of President Barack Obama.

Now imagine how you would feel if your he had already been elected. What does it feel like moment you find out the election results? Describe how this makes you feel. Think of five emotions you feeling now that your president has won?

Then imagine that your candidate has been in the White House as your President for six months. He or She has been in office half a year. What changes have taken place in U.S. Policy? What wonderful things have happened to the country? To the world? How does that feel? Can you name five emotions you are feeling now?

Imagine now that your candidate has been in office for four years as your President. What has your president accomplished during their first term in office? In what ways have they improved the country and the world in these four years? How excited are you to vote for them in a second term? How do you feel about your country? Describe how you feel now that your president has been in office for an entire term. What are five emotions you feel about this?

And, finally, imagine that it’s been twenty years since your candidate became president. How did their presidency improve our country over time? What has been their greatest legacy? Looking back over the past twenty years, how has this president improved the world? How happy are you that they were elected all those years ago? Can you name five emotions you feel now that it’s been twenty years since they were elected?

As you become more familiar wit the vibration of already having the president you desire, you will be sending out a vibrational signal that matches the frequency of that president winning, thus attracting it to you.

From my experience I have found that gratitude is one of the most commonly felt emotions for anyone who has his/her desire fulfilled. So take a minute and be thankful that your president was elected! Celebrate in advance! This is guaranteed to make you feel good and if you feel good about your desire, you are powerfully sending out energy that will attract it!

Visualizing the candidate you want as president will influence the outcomes and help you to attract the president you desire!

But with all that said, don’t forget to go out and vote!

Visioning the near future....

Tonight...I see flags waving, lights swirling. I hear voices cheering, hands clapping, feet stomping. I see faces smiling, eyes dancing. It's a large stadium in which President Elect Barack Obama and Vice President Elect Joe Biden have taken the stage to make speeches to thank the people of the nation for entrusting our future to them. The decible level extreme, but the joy is so pure that it doesn't matter.

The President Elect encourages all to sit several times, and finally....everyone hushes and takes a seat, still buzzing with excitement, anticipation....happiness. He speaks to the vast crowd in the statidum and to wthe world via satillite. There are tears in the eyes of many, some can't help but sob. He speaks eloquently, with a confident, yet humble presence. This is a leader of the people, for the people. I don't know what words will be appropriate for the moment; gratitude, responsibility, WE all come to mind and I'm sure will be woven into the speech. I am completely AMAZED at the hateful nature of the campaign that is said to be lead by the CHRISTIAN Republican party.

Isn't it Christ that said "Love your neighbor as yourself?" Isn't it Christ that said "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone"? Isn't it Christ that said "I am my brothers keeper"?

I am Christian, have been my whole life. I was raised in a large loving family that practiced their faith, including that which said that we are responsible for ourselves, our actions (all of them) and our fellow man. The kind of Christianity that said "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers".

Now, you that call yourselves Christians, might want to attack on your issue of reproductive rights, but before you do that...tell me what you are willing to do to help young ladies who find themselves in that position to make the choice to give birth? To raise the child or give the child up for adoption? What are you willing to do to make sure that the children born to crack addicted mothers don't wind up in warehouses where they wait to die a horrible death after a short and painful life? What are you willing to do to make sure that a young woman in a country without legal abortion doesn't feel her only choice is an illegal one that might kill her? What are you willing to do to improve the life circumstances of our poor in the cities and in the rural area? What are you willing to do to help young women in these circumstances know they have value and help them learn so they have choices?

If you are PRO LIFE...you are PRO LIFE...that doesn't mean just the life in your house. Just the life that looks like you, believes like you, dresses like you do, speaks your language, shares your likes and dislikes. If you're Christian, you love all and recognize that God loves everyone just the same as you, despite whether they love him back just the same way you do. Jesus took his message to the people who weren't like him. Jesus chose people who weren't leaders of faith as it was.

As for heaven and hell and who goes where? Well, that's all up to God and the individual soul...and not for us to judge. THAT'S in the bible too.

The government on the other hand, IS NOT a THEOCRACY...get over it!

I urge any/all of you to ask anyone who's advertising how much they are giving to Obama.

The campaign needs to the money to run ads that tell the truth to an equal or greater interval than the McCain-Palin ticket that has been receiving an influx of cash and support in the last couple of weeks.

The OFFICIAL stuff may in some cases not be as interesting looking...but it's certainly the best use of the money (buying directly from Move ON or the DNC is good too).

Less than two months ...

After all of these months of hoping, praying & working..there are less than 60 days left until the General Election. After all of these years of waiting and dreaming, we are less than five months from the steps of the Capital seeing this WE HAVE A DREAM into reality.

Please don't squander this opportunity by letting the anger/frustration of the injustices in the media and campaigning get a hold of your thoughts and words.

WE are the one's that will make this happen. We are the feet hitting the pavement, the fingers pressing the buttons on the phones and key boards. We are the one's who are setting the example for others on how change looks.

In FIGHTING for something, you're apt to become that which you are FIGHTING against. Don't fight THEM, or IT...direct your efforts, time, energy, thoughts, prayers (if you do this) to the change; the what it is you expect, want, desire, anticipate, have been waiting for.

I visualize President Obama taking the oath of office; I see Michelle proudly looking on and crowds of people...millions in our Capital, though they cannot get anywhere near it; they want to be a part of it, to be in the city where this is happening. Where significant/substanative/positive change for the people of the country is being brought into being.

I see a time of accountability and cohesive effort following this swearing in; after we've all had time to shout, cry, smile, dance our joy.

See it with me...pay no attention to the pebbles and ruts along the way...

Hart Plaza-Detroit LABOR DAY

Good Evening;

I must speak to something I witnessed at the Labor Day appearance that doesn't speak well of us and needs address.

I worked the event yesterday. I was gratified that so many people of diverse groups came out in support of Senator Obama who made a brief but thoughtful appearance. There were more than 100,000 people in attendance, many of whom couldn't fit into the plaza, who though disappointed conducted themselves in exemplary fashion. HOWEVER, when the crowd cleared, it revealed an ugly behavior. There was trash all over Hart Plaza, as if someone dumped trash barrel after trash barrel full on our beautiful plaza.

Senator Obama and the Democratic party support taking care of our environment and being responsible for our actions/behaviors...

I recognize that the city did not have enough containers and they were not emptied in a timely fashion. I recognize further that there appeared to be no means to dispose of some items for recycling and others as refuse. That does not excuse littering the plaza with abandon. I was ashamed to think that supporters did this.

I hope that in future gatherings in our beautiful state, those who attend will be mindful of our environment and dispose of wrappers, bottles and other refuse in such a way that it represents who we are and what we stand for.

On Sunday, August 24, we envision churches, synagogues, temples, mosques and other spiritual communities focusing, each in its own way, on the theme “A Prayer for Uplifting the Economy of Detroit (or—fill in the name of your own community).” Everyone would interpret and practice this step as they define and see fit. We are open to any suggestions you might have for moving forward with this idea. This can be a cross-cultural interfaith activity that includes those who might otherwise not participate in an interfaith event. The truth is this: During Hurricane Katrina, the people of faith in New Orleans didn’t stop to ask each other, “What is your theology?” before joining together to hoist sandbags onto the levees. We are facing a situation just as dangerous, just as important to our community. Prayer is powerful, as has been demonstrated over millennia. By joining together in this, we can have an impact on our communities. The accumulated prayers of willing souls, focused on a single purpose, will turn the tide and make the difference.
