PRIVATIZE SOCIAL SECURITY???

With the current failure of investment banks, it needs to be pointed out that under the Bush/McCain Social Security Privatization plan, money that would go into the Social Security retirement system would instead go to INVESTMENT BANKS ON WALL STREET. How good would it feel today if Bush/McCain plan had been implemented four years ago?

McSame needs to explain himself on this privatization scheme to rip off American's Social Security payments.

MCCAIN PLANS TO RAISE TAXES ON THE MIDDLE CLASS

I've heard again and again from republicans how Obama will raise taxes. Despite the obvious ommission from thet statement of "on the Rich", it should be noted that McCain will RAISE TAXES on the MIDDLE CLASS by taxing their Healthcare benefits!

This is the REAL TAX INCREASE! Their taxes will go up, therefore they will have less in their paycheck every week (if they are lucky enough to receive healthcare from their employers,) because the cost of their healthcare will be taxed as WAGES! This is the information that needs to be put out there NOW, not in the debates, but NOW. John McCain will RAISE YOUR TAXES!

They need to defend this plan, and explain to Americans how this will benefit their pocketbook. And with that one--good luck!

We could do something just as surprising as McSame!

I was thinking about SP's remark about Obama regretting not choosing Hillary as VP, and about how it's too late now to reprogram the campaign now. But really, is it too late? I guess we COULD do something totally outrageous in order to change the dynamics. But, it would require Joe to fall on his sword and take one for the team. That would be for Joe to say that he is withdrawing from the race for personal reasons, leaving Obama open to offering the job to Hillary.

Now, I know this is totally outrageous, but I'm thinking outside the box here. Why not consider this strategy, and after we WIN the election, Joe could get a really important position, like head of the Justice Department or Secretary of State or something.

This would shake some things up in this election and media attention would be stolen back from Palin and put righteously back on Obama and the issues.

Just thinking outloud here...

McCain Heathcare Plan: Pray You Don't Get Sick

The accusations from the Righties about democratic sexism are just a distraction from issues. See those "HOTEST VP" button the plebes were wearing at the Repub convention? We need to connect people's minds with Obama as a solution to their personal problems. A biggie is healthcare, because all of us need it, right? Ah, life in the body!

A faith-based approach to illness may attract evangelicals who go to tv ministers for healin', but the rest of us think that a doctor, or if need be, hospital visit may be better than rolling around in the pews begging God to heal the sick, which is what the McCain/Palin healthcare program is.

McCain/Palin is Failin' to tell us what they'll do about healthcare!

McCain/Pailin is Failin' to tell us how they'll reduce the deficit!

McCain/Pailin is Failin' to tell us when we'll be out of Iraq!

McCain/Pailin is Failin' to tell us that they intend to privitize Social Security!

McCain/Pailin is Failin' to tell us how they'll stop the flow of our jobs overseas!

McCain/Palin: The Failin' ticket.

Lipstick on a Pig

It is appropriate that Palin refers to herself as a pitbull--an ugly, snarling, threatening animal. But we all know that the lipstick she talks about isn't on a pitbull. She is lipstick on a pig, the pig being the Republican party in general, John McBush in particular.

We've all heard the joke that Washington is Hollywood for ugly people. I get that. But we need to push back on the cynicism that McSame is pushing, knowing that signing on a sexy grandma will get white men to vote for him because they want to sleep with her. You know it's true!

Let's send out a steady stream of Democratic women on the news show circuit NOW, and capitalize on the fact that they can't send Palin out there because she KNOWS NOTHING. The repuklicans know that the hard questions the press will ask her are going to destroy her, and that's why they have to keep her locked in her dressing room All we will see are the sound bites from the solitary speech she gave that was written for her by a Bush speech writer, and the press will have to play them over and over and over ad nauceum until it gets drilled into the head of the common folk that she really is lipstick on a pig.

Disappointed about FISA

I was so gungho about Obama before the FISA vote on Wednesday--I was talking to friends about the election and the hope I had about the changes to come. THEN, Wednesday's vote came in and I found out that my beloved candidate voted with other Democrats to capitulate yet again to Bush's illegal wiretapping of Americans. I was devastated. I went out and took the OBAMA bumper sticker off my car, and about 5 minutes later, a knock on my door from a local Democratic fundraiser. Talk about timing! So I blasted him with the news about the FISA vote and he was quite stunned that it went down that way. We talked for about thirty minutes about the betrayal of the Democrats, how weak they are when they can't stand up for their principals against the worst president in American history, how Pelosi took impeachment off the table even as the true American Kucinich read for hours the crimes of George W. Bush.

I don't think I can get over this FISA vote. I can't vote for McCain-McSame, so I might just not vote.
