I saw those tacky loud ghetto burlap bag grandma jello pudding pop designs the "top" designers are trying to stuff her in for the Inaugural Ball and none of them fit the styles I've seen her wear yet.

I've seen her in classic, elegant, sophisticated (unless she's doing J Targete casual) and those designers have got the "slave-motif" going on. They didn't put a lot of thought into what they've seen her wear.

I've observed and when I was a little girl I wanted to BE a fashion designer and interior decorator. Therefore I give my Unsung and Unasked For opinion. NONE of those gowns work.

So, I give you...

Engraved Black and purple boa down front of dress from waistline has hand-sewn pearls to match pearl necklace (drop choker)

I call it Understated Drama with Pearls
It has that Roman Goddess "feel" to the bodice.

This gives her what she's done in the past with a slight bend toward the dramatic, It is certainly traditional, but off the beaten-down path for a most special occasion.

How lame can our lame duck President get? How about pardoning war criminals before they get their day in court. Write your local paper today.

We all want to move on.

But just this past Friday, a bipartisan Senate report named Secretary Rumsfeld and other top officials directly responsible for sanctioning torture. Rumors in DC are that Bush will pardon Rumsfeld and others for these abuses.1

After eight years of defiling America's reputation and renouncing our founding principles, the Bush administration wants to jet off into the sunset without answering to the American public.

We can't let that happen. You and I have an important role to play as our nation's conscience.

Write your local paper and denounce any possible planned pardons for crimes committed in the "war on terror". Here are some sample letters and talking points you can follow.

America's renewal depends on a recommitment to human rights. And that recommitment starts by investigating past abuses and holding officials accountable. It's called justice, and the rule of law. And it's something our nation once held in high regard.

Write your local paper. And remember to register to participate in our inauguration day of action and our 100 days events. Your letter to the editor would support Senators that are starting to push for accountability. Senator Feingold just last week wrote President-elect Obama asking for a "detailed accounting of what happened over the last eight years" and that "we must fully understand the mistakes of the past in order to learn from them… and prevent them from recurring." 2

A record number of pardon seekers have flooded the White House. Some believe Bush may issue pre-emptive pardons that would abdicate anyone remotely connected to so-called "alternative interrogation techniques" (otherwise known as torture). Any such pardon would undermine any future efforts to seek and find justice for the past eight years of human rights abuses in the "war on terror".

Write your local paper and express your outrage over the possibility of impunity for crimes committed in the "war on terror".

One of our three main objectives during President-elect Obama's 100 days is to ensure an independent commission investigates abuses committed the U.S. government in its "war on terror". Pardoning key officials, or even worse, issuing a blanket pardon, would undermine this critical goal towards restoring our commitment to human rights.

We're all ready to move forward. But our best chance of restoring the America we believe in means starting off with justice and accountability.

Take a few minutes to write your local paper.

Be Mindful as we Enter the New Year

Mindfulness - How to Achieve It

December 10, 2008

Being mindful does not come naturally to most people. It is actually a skill that needs to be practiced and one that can greatly improve the quality of your life. Meditation is one path to learning to be mindful as are certain types of exercise, such as Yoga, that force us to be in the moment. Our mind wanders, this is natural but we can bring it back to the present with some effort and focused attention.

An exercise to help you to be Mindful is as follows: Take a walk outside, alone or with someone else, and do not say one word. Be in total and complete quiet. Notice your surroundings in great detail. Pay attention to the sights and sounds around you, the smells in the air, the feeling of your clothes on your skin and your feet on the ground. Notice what different parts of your body feel like, even if you are noticing discomfort. Notice your breathing. When thoughts of your day or things you need to tend to move into your consciousness, notice them and let them go. Don't judge yourself for becoming distracted, accept it as part of the process and get back to focusing on your sensory awareness. Do this exercise for at least 20 minutes as often as you can.

The more you practice, the better you will become at clearing your mind. It is not unlike a muscle that needs to be exercised. You can try being mindful in small ways as well such as when you are eating. Take a bite of food and pay close attention to the process as you chew. What does it feel like in your mouth, what tastes do you notice most - sweet, sour, bitter? Notice the texture as you chew and swallow.

There are many other small exercises you can do to practice being mindful so whenever you get a chance, do them. Mindfulness has been shown to be useful for a variety of mental health and physical health conditions such as anxiety, depression, hypertension, and infertility among many others.

The entire Republican party is representative of the fool I work for - not internet savvy.

They underestimated it and insisted on using telephones and connecting the old school way, through rich folks like them who would continue to make the "others" think their voices and their votes don't count.

They never heard of myspace, facebook, online networking, don't like text messaging, refuse to even use voice mail. Oh, but they don't know how much they miss when they don't pay attention to online community and the power of digital freedom, thank you Al Gore!!!

Also, they rely solely on being 'known' - having lots of money and old guard connections; and took for granted that some unknown who happened to be black wasn't going to find enough people interested to even worry about him.

By the time they started to worry, it was too late and they were caught with their Depends down. They underestimated the people that Obama never once took for granted.

Palin has helped reveal to the public pit-bull snarl that rouses GOP supporters to cry out, "Traitor!" against Obama, and "Kill him!"

It was Jesus Christ, if Matthew is to be believed, who said, "Love thine enemy." It is in that spirit that I write this belated valentine to Sarah Palin.

Sarah, I love you for having revealed unto the media the snarling heart of the beast that is the base (and the soul) of the Republican Party. Yes, you have the lipstick and the heels, not to mention the calves and bosoms, that send Republican men into swoons, but you have more; the pit-bull snarl that rouses your supporters to cry out, "Traitor!" against Obama, and "Kill him!"

George Bush kept those folks in their kennels, ran as a "compassionate conservative," and always masked his most heinous plans in double speak. Bush the Elder, Ronald Reagan, and even Richard Nixon never explicitly ran on hate and fear of "the other." They used words that were coded enough that it was possible to pretend that they were true.

But now the beast is loose.

My Obama Book is Titled: The Audacity of Integrity

Why Obama will win this election:

America is thirsting and starving for integrity and truth and justice and to restore theoretical American values.

Every time the Republicans do something dumb his numbers go through the roof because people are getting sick of the BS. As an attorney working in the United States of America, Barack Obama knows that if someone accuses him of something, the burden of proof is on them to prove it out. He doesn't have to do anything or say a word. So, he sat back and watched those Republican piranha eat themselves alive. It's classic textbook legal courtroom know-how and savvy, true American-style.

I wish I had enough money to pay him to represent me in my own court case. I'd pay him a million-dollar retainer just from having watched him work in real life. Classic. Helluva lawyer.

He's even got trained volunteers all over the country (including Florida) positioned to watch the polls on Tuesday, along with the sheriff's, cops and lawyers in each polling precinct that were already assigned there. He was Ready on Day One.
If that's not a man who would have been prepared to go into Afghanistan and kick bin Laden's asz and get the hell out without very much loss of life, I don't know who is.

Preparedness always matters -- and so does an exit plan.

He had this campaign mapped out when he threw his hat in the ring. I can tell it by the way he's run it and kept people inspired through two whole LONG years of one hellacious battle after another. He already knew what was coming, he prepared himself, his family, and his supporters, and argued his case before the people like a true American lawyer, betting on the fact that there are more people out here with a little money than the few who have a ton of money. He was right. Even that Andy Martin nutcase backwoods lawyer who challenged him on his Hawaiian birth certificate has GOT to know my now that Obama would knock him cold out in a courtroom, if he ever had the privilege. I mean McCain wasn't even born on US soil and not once has Obama asked for his LONG FORM birth certificate with a raised seal on it.

They've thrown everything at Obama's character and integrity BUT the kitchen sink and he's not even feeling it, at least not in public. He doesn't even have smoke billowing from the coals they tried to burn him with. Looks like America has finally gotten the message that racism doesn't work for ANY OF US, but our thanks go out to McCain, Palin, and especially to Hillary Clinton, for trying it out this election year, and to Obama for addressing it before it went too far with the only people who count. Those who are voting for him.

While the Rethuglicans were busy acting the asz over petty personal crap just because they could find no fault with him politically, he stayed fresh, low-key, focused and on-target...and he didn't let anyone or anything slip out of his razor-sharp aim while he was at it.

He's got the same staff he started off with--nearly zero fallouts, if any. He told people to vote early and vote absentee (basically, because they can choose where they want to vote AND because sheriff's, lawyers, law students, and policeman watch the count on the absentee ballots and "vote counters" are sequestered like jurors on an OJ Simpson trial during the entire process -- LOL!!! Theoretically, I could guess any number of reasons Obama told us to vote early and vote absentee, but that's another book for another time.)

In the meantime, McCain has had to start over with a new staff every 2-3 months. Nobody trusts him and his own people don't like him -OR- Sarah Palin. The people on McCain's OWN campaign call him a nutcase and called her a moose-killing "diva."

The man Obama did not go to law school for nothing and he's been as cool as a cucumber in spite of all the attacks. Whoever paid for his law degree, it was obviously worth every dime.

He just smiles and keeps rolling because he knows he's above reproach and has nothing to hide. What he is "hiding" someone made up just like those people who threw tainted evidence in OJ's trial in California and ended up killing their own case just for trying to be sneaky about it.

If Obama was hiding something, like Sarah Palin did with those governmental Yahoo emails, no one would be able to find it so easily. Yet, his record is right out there for anyone who has internet access and a newspaper or even an old dialer radio to see. That's why he doesn't respond to the attacks unless he has no choice: His whole attitude is 'check the record for your damn self, I've got a campaign to run'.

Funny how people use christianity to manipulate people, then don't act like christians after they get what they want form the idiots who are being played. That's proof positive that America wasn't a christian nation from Day One. However, getting back to my point here:

Not once did Mr. Obama ask to see John-boy's birth certificate, though McCain wasn't even born on American soil, period. Obama has worked in America all of his adult life, and has always paid his taxes here as a citizen, as well. He had to have his birth certificate and social security card to get a driver's license and do anything and everything else he has done as a US citizen, but that wasn't enough for them. He passed their OWN system of checks and balances; then just because he did, they had the audacity to challenge the crap THEY invented. His integrity in attacking McCain on issues ONLY speaks volumes.

The fact that he never once attacked McCain's personal character or his integrity as a man and a citizen of the USA has sent a long and wide viable and visible message to the people who support him, as well as those who weren't supporting him before who have now bailed on McCain.

It says a lot about a man's character when he can stay focused and on point and on message, with a few minor adjustments here or there--because Obama is 'finally' starting to sound like a broken record--which means he is at the closing stages of his argument that not only can America get back on track and fix this Republican-made mess; but yes, we can get past our racial and ethnic and religious differences and be the One America that we should always have been from the start. It's a good thing he sounds like a broken record these days: It means he never lost sight and never lost track of his original goals and intentions. In two years, he never once allowed himself to be side-tracked by the BS. True textbook application of legal theory. Argue your case directly to the jury and to hell with the judges--in the end, the people, the jury of peers, are the ones who get to decide. If OJ WAS guilty, Obama is the man who could have put him behind bars for life.

McCain on the other hand, changes his message depending on who he is talking to and what mood they are in at the moment. Obama stays on message and on point no matter who's yelling "terrorist" and McCain shifts his message depending ON who's yelling "terrorist."

Now, let's see McCain and Palin keep themselves above reproach like that at least until Tuesday: (my guess is, they can't. They started a hailstorm of racist activity by not addressing it from Day One and they have to stay with it or risk some more troublesome news in the next two days).

From what I, Ye Olde American Citizen, have seen so far and for the past two years, the only way they were GOING to take Obama down was if they had managed to rattle enough skeleton bones, dunk enough Klan-type boogey men, slam enough Netherworld coffin lids, and roll out enough short-sheeted ghosts to scare the hell out of everybody. Apparently, they didn't have enough money to buy all of their costumes, props and equipment for the season because they were too busy spending it on Sarah Palin's clothes.

Halloween's over.
It's been real.

Time to move on and get down to the REAL business of electing a president.

On Prepaid Debit Cards and Voting Fraud

The pre-paid credit cards are traceable.

hey have a card number on them just like any other debit or credit card which was applied for through a bank or loan company or savings institution. They have to be registered when purchased at the counter in order to be activated.

If Master Card and Visa and AMEX makes these for gift card purchases, then they have a paper trail of every purchase made and at every store they were made--even if they don't have the purchaser's name. The purchaser has a receipt for their purchase and can be brought forward. Anything that doesn't show up with a receipt gets rejected.

In other words, if they are accusing Obama donations of possibly being from "bad sources" the burden of proof is on them to prove they are--and they can't prove it. They're just preparing for a legal showdown Tuesday if Obama wins by stirring up a can of lies ahead of time to provide a backdrop for issues they themselves created and caused.

If they're so "up" on fraud and bad donations that can't be traced, it means they've done it themselves. Many times. As my granny said, "If a man accuses you of cheating and you KNOW you're not--you might want to take a deeper look into what he's doing." He might be telling on himself.

There are about 50 different ways those debit cards can be tracked down--they come through legal American banks. This isn't a government that spies on its own citizens and doesn't know how to track down the sources of credit card purchases, even if they ARE unregistered gift cards.

Besides, Obama can give it all back today if he wants. His campaign is, literally, IN THE BLACK. He's already slated to win on Tuesday without having to spend another dime. McCain and Palin have been doing all of his campaign spending for him, anywhere from inciting race riots and violence against a presidential candidate to heaven only knows what else out of plain pure jealousy.

Had they ran their own race on the issues instead of attacking Obama as a man, he might have had a bigger and more contentious fight on his hands; but they shot themselves in the feet and the mouth, thrashing around on a race card that likely cost them this election as it cost Hillary the primaries.

What McCain/Palin say, and what they really mean

I get what McCain is saying about the economy.

Make no mistake about it. When McCain talks about government 'benefits,' his prayer goes something like this: "God bless me, mine, mines, what's mine, us four and no more."

And he doesn't have to say it direct. Look at the Republican's record. And if you forget the Republicans and look at John McCain's record alone--it speaks for itself. He couldn't even get rich my himself, so he had to cheat on his wife to get that.
Lucky Cindy. She didn't even need him in her life and she'll end up paying him alimony if she gets tired of it and leaves and if he gets tired of her and calls it.

You don't have to go any farther back than Ronald Reagan to see what they mean as opposed to what they say. What do they do for the average everyday common man who works making them rich? Nothing. They're not talking TO us, they're talking DOWN to us and out loud to each other in "code."

"Spreading the wealth": Code for -- THEY want to take the money our minions earn for us and actually give them a share of it.

"Obama pals around with terrorists" or "Obama's a Muslim/Muslim sympathizer" or "Obama's an Ay-rab": Code for -- There ain't no way in hell we're letting a n-word run this government.

"Joe the Plumber": Code for -- by "small" business, we mean those who make at least $5m a year, net profit; and can do their employees the humane favor of at least paying them minimum wage.

"Trickle down economy": Code for "p- on you" if you can't get where I am in life with or without the needed resources. We're the kings and queens of the jungle and you were just meant to be nothing from the day you were born. Stay there.

I could call out more, but you get the idea. It's been their M.O. from Day One.

Then along comes Obama, who, even if he loses this election, is set for life. It shouldn't even matter to him if he wins or not because he and his wife and daughters will be humming along in Cash City while the rest of us are stuck with the wrong choice--once again. It's not going to hurt Obama personally if McCain wins. He's set.

But Obama tends to get real passionate in his speeches about finding a way to make sure that those who actually work for the money that McCain and his type profit off of with no labor expended on their own part get a piece of their own action. And why does he even have to do this at all? Because THEY won't.

Yet, they wouldn't have that wealth if all their underpaid grunges without decent health bene's walked out and formed their own business conglomerates and told them they're on their own. The workers could put Budweiser (if Cindy still owned it, that is) out of business within 24 hours and then stare at them and say, "Who's on the beach now?"

If Obama is looking to "spread the wealth," he only feels that people who work for a living should not be halfway between homelessness and living in overpriced suburbia thanks to people like McCain and his corporate and small business wealthy buddies--Masters of the Universe, they think they are. Obama feels that if we get up and go to a job every day, that we shouldn't have to decide between paying bills and eating, then get shot down for having bad credit when both become expedient at the same time; that we shouldn't be without health and life insurance; or without an opportunity to get a decent education for ourselves and/or our children, those of us who have them. They've pitted this poor man against poor man, white on black, hyphenated American against everybody game for too long and it's time that we the people of the United States of America end it once and for all. This is what they do while we fight amongst ourselves over skin color, money, who looks better than who, which one of us can attract a millionaire, ethnicity, who dresses better than who, who has the bigger and nicer house, whose school is better than who's, et al ad nauseum -- crap that doesn't matter a hill of beans to McCain and their type.

They instigate race and class wars to conquer and divide people over bu**sh** to get them what they want, but they're the same ones who will stare at you like you're a Plutonian Martian and go "Joe Who?" when they see you in the same room with them. If they can keep you worrying about the fact of whether you're more likely to get better pay and opportunities to advance if you're white as opposed to the dungeon low-pay dead end jobs they give college educated black folk, then they've got everybody right where they want them. I mean, if I were inclined to actually enjoy being held down and viciously rectally ravished against my will, I'd vote Republican, too. Fortunately for me, the political anal thing, as hosted by a bunch of low classed first-rate elitist pricks, doesn't work for me.

Capitalism has not done this country a bit of good except for a select few who are welcome to 'the Club'--new money, old money, ... as long as they make "at least" $5m a year [and are men who have white skin] they can buy a chair in the GOB Club. Anyone else who makes that much can go join their own club.

I have to say, though; I give my boss credit for honesty. He doesn't hide beneath fluffed out words when explaining what the Republicans really mean. He just comes right out and says things like he could give a crap less about anyone other than himself and his family and his Golden Retriever.

And he also says that he would be happy to throw dented rusted cans of food and old outdated meat and milk at poor people who don't work (like me) if the government would just get out of his pocket. (As if his tax write-offs and shelters that bring him to nearly zero tax liability compared to what he actually pays in taxes isn't enough.)

AND, he says, as far as he and his are concerned, Obama just wants to take THEIR money and redistribute it to people (like me, the poor fat lazy welfare recipient type) who sit on their lazy butts and don't work.

I can be in the same office with this despicable asinine jerk that I work for, and he'll say things like, "He [Obama] can redistribute it all he wants...in a couple of years, we'll have it all back."

In a room full of white men, with me present he says it, and they all, like, just crack up laughing. Like I'm so ignorant, I don't know what they're saying and they could care less if I do know. Nasty and superficial and arrogant, all of them. Turds of a feather...

That was his way of saying that us stupid low class working types (that they have already decided are nothing but a bunch of p-change welfare hogs) can't handle money anyway, so he's not worried about Obama getting elected because we're so "adept" at money management that we'll give it all back to them in no time. Oh, how I thirst to prove him wrong; just like he was wrong when he said Obama would never get this far in the election. He still says there's no way in H377 Obama is going to win, regardless of the fact that the polls say otherwise.

What's sad is that he is specifically referring to "poor blacks," whether they work or not -- and so far, he's right on that. There's only one way to prove him wrong, but miracles are few and far between. I could teach black folk, or any other folk who were interested, how to form conglomerates that will put those jerks out of business, but it will take a unifying spirit that Americanization has taught us not to have.

I can teach folk how to make their money work for them instead of working for their money; I watch them do it and I have their game down pat, but I get no takers on that no matter what I do. And I can't do it by myself. Alone, I have exactly what Mr. "I don't give a shyt about anyone else" wants me to have--nothing. But he's no different than anyone else I've worked for in 36 years, so there's really no place else for me to go.

That doesn't mean there's no hope whatsoever; it simply means that it will take an outright miracle, Obama or no Obama. That's something Obama can't do for "poor" black folk, rich black folk who throw money away on worthless junk, or anyone else of ANY race for that matter.

But what Obama can do is pull out right now and say "You're on your own," take his cheese and his residual cream off the top and run like Wall Street. If Martin Luther King Jr. had done it, they'd have left him alone and we'd still be riding on the backs of buses and coming in through the back door and looking at the "we don't serve Negroes" signs.

I realize that black folk have gotten so arrogant and stuck their noses so far in their own stink that they think King was not needed and that change would have come about on its own whether he was in that fight or not, [something some black Republican who hates black people likely told them, like a Clarence Thomas type]; but Obama can, indeed, fade to black and forget all of this. Easy.

See, without Obama, change will come about on its own. He is not needed, either, to hear some tell it. But Obama has seen the way 'they' work, and he knows what they do and why they do it, and he knows that nothing will change unless someone sticks their neck out and forces the hand that bites us all. And in a few decades, no matter what he accomplishes in office, someone will say "We didn't need him. It would have happened on its own." That alone would be enough to make me quit and not care.

He is only working to make sure that people, all races and ethnicities of people, who actually work for a living can get something out of it, something their own bosses don't want them to have: Equitable pay, decent benefits, quality control. However, they do give us cake and cheap wine for those million-dollar months in sales from time to time. "Why, we just wanted to say thank you by letting you have cake." I wish I could show some folk how to have cake and eat it, too -- I know how; but no one pays attention and I certainly can't do it alone.

Side Note: No grassroots candidacy has ever toppled the prime real estate upper class government elitesman in the history of this nation that I know of. If there has been a grassroots winner of the office of president, I stand corrected, but I haven't heard of it.

The Republicans don't know what a "socialist" is, because if they did, they'd be watching the flying birdie that's sitting in the White House now instead of Obama.

THEIR president is the one who wanted to rush through a bill for government takeover of banks and corporations. That is about as 'socialist' as it gets. Socialists believe in exactly what George Bush is doing: Trying to gain control over the bigger banking and finance operations and ["get this":] insurance companies so that, instead of you controlling your money and who you do business with, they get to dictate it to you.

They're rolling out a "new world order" socialist government right under these idiots' heads and they're so busy squawking Obama on race that they're not even paying attention. But isn't that how things got to this place in the first place?

They consistently divide and conquer by splitting people into meaningless social factions that they don't care about, then use that mentally deficient smokescreen to take people's eye off the ball while they re-work the kind of socialist government that will work for you ONLY if you make, according to McCain, "at least $5m a year." Fact is, these people are voting for McCain and don't realize he's told them over and over again that he doesn't care for anyone who doesn't fit into his socialist elite circles. In other words, if anyone who doesn't operate on McCain's [wife's] financial level came anywhere near him after November 4, he'd thumb them up and snub them faster than you can say "Say it ain't so Joe." They're kissing the feet of a Judas of their own making.

In the 'socialism for the wealthy only government' that the Thugligcans are trying to set up before Bush leaves office, the doors are closed on the possibility that anyone else outside their circles has an opportunity to attain self-made wealth, or to "join the country club."

Sarah Palin, who knew and consorted with, in her adult political life, a known secessionist who admitted he hated the United States and wanted Alaska to part ways with it, and who also knew and consorted with a certain senator by the name of Ted Stevens in her adult political life knowing full well what she was doing when she "pal'ed around" with him, who has also been found guilty of her own charges of abuse of official power, who had her running mate signing blank checks for personal expenditures totaling more than $100,000 worth of expensive clothing and shoes and stylists for herself AND her kids, who used Alaska's money to shuttle around children who were supposedly "on official business," who throws her children under the bus to further her own political agenda, and who also has accused a certain Senator by the name of Barack Obama of "pal'ing around" with a certain 'terrorist' who was never convicted of that which he was accused of around the time Obama was eight years old SUDDENLY has the nerve enough NOT to want herself inextricably linked to Ted Stevens?

She is just as much, and even more, in cahoots with Stevens AND her American-hating friend AND her witch-hunting pastor as Obama is with William Ayers, especially since she "pal'ed around" with Stevens and the secessionist and the pastor when she was a full-grown adult and a political figure , not when she was eight years old and unelected to a government office.

She even has the government-backed home improvements and travel bills that the people of Alaska unwittingly paid for to help her case.

Obama-Biden Campaign Funds

I am one of those "faceless" credit card users and I have every right to donate money online with my credit card if I so choose.

Who do these people think they are? They sound very jealous to me. Or is that there are more people out here with $5 or $10 than there are millionaires with a million dollars to donate to McCain (not that Obama doesn't have his share of "rich" contributors).

Millions of people use their cards online every day to pay bills and conduct other kinds of business and transactions, including making donations to charities and other things.

I'll tell you why Obama raises so much money. Because every time the Republican campaign 'smears' him or tells another lie about his campaign, we get emails from friends and family saying to donate anywhere from a dollar to $10, or more if we can, for every lie they tell that ends up being untrue: If the Republicans would stop lying, Obama wouldn't collect so much online. They need to stop the racism and the lies.

He gets $5-$10 just from me alone every time they call him a terrorist, an Arab, a Muslim, say he's not an American citizen, or just plain outright says something racist -- and I don't mind sending it. I work part-time and I don't mind sending it, I'd send more if I could.

Obama collects this money because the Republicans won't shut their nasty unscrupulous faces and stop calling him racist names. owadays, not too many people write hard paper checks any more. So what?

No one should have to show up at an Obama headquarters in person wit cash just to donate money to his campaign. There is a jealousy factor in there "scrutinizing" his online donations and calling people like "faceless," as well as in that "birth certificate" mess.

If Obama has to show up with a birth certificate with a raised seal after having worked in America and paid taxes here as a citizen all of his adult career life, then we want the birth certificates of every politician in this nation...raised seals and all.

If someone dares to try to take away my right to donate online in whatever amount I please up to the campaign contribution limits, they will hear from me and hear well. As well as thousands of other "faceless" people like me.

They've tried everything in their power to stop the steam shuttle, but he just keeps rolling along. If they'd stop messing with Obama, people would probably slow down on the giving.
Just because he's internet savvy and they are not, they are not going to make him an exception. He's worth more than John McCain. That ought to explain everything.

Honest truth is, Obama should not have to spend another dime on campaigning in the month of November: McCain and Palin have done all of his talking for him and spent THEIR money doing it. LOL!!!

How does a GOP 'Trickle Down' economy work?

1) "Trickle down" economy means the rich get to unzip their pants and "p" on the poor at regular intervals by half-a paying them, then overcharging them for goods and services, then passing the tax burden on to the same people who aren't being paid and yet are still paying astronomical market prices for goods and services. I call those "trickles" the Golden Showers compliment of the elitist privileged.

2) The vast majority of people who will be gettting a tax CUT are taxPAYERS -- meaning they actually work for a living. If you don't pay taxes, there's nothing to cut. However, thanks to someone who thinks that anyone who doesn't make $5m a year is not considered rich, then we're ALL on welfare from where they sit.

3) Forty-two percent of income tax payers make less than $30k a year and end up with ZERO tax liability. On the other hand, the people who do the loudest shouting about their tax money are barely paying taxes themselves: They get shelters, deductions, write-offs and other tax benefits that the poorer working classes are not privvy to, which dually shifts the tax burden to those who can least afford it.

More than 90% of taxpayers with zero liability when they turn in their returns every April earn less than $30k a year, thanks to Joe the Plumber Inc. who refuses to pay Joe the Taxpayer anything above slave wages. If the corporations and business are forced to pay a living wage, he takes his business and moves it to foreign nations where he can legally get away with paying people $1.25 an hour, or $10 a week. It's not that these "lazy people" don't want to work, it's that business owners like Joe the Plumber Inc. and AIG and Chase Manhattan don't want to pay them TO work, so they end up in low-paying or part-time jobs making next to nothing anyway. Either way the middle class goes, whether its in trying to earn a living, trying to barely get by feeding and clothing themselves and their children, trying to pay for healthcare, in trying to educate themselves or their children, or you name it and what have you - they're getting screwed.

4) Businesses pass ANY and every increase on to the consumer, anyway, so tax increases are simply another liability that you, Joe Taxpayer, end up footing the bill for --and you are going to pay it whether there's a liberal or a non-liberal in office. Between tax shelters, write-offs and business owner tax credits for nearly everything you can name, higher-income people rarely pay any taxes anyway and are on the million-dollar corporate dole that Joe Taxpayer pays for off the money he's NOT getting for working.

The heaviest burden for tax liability has always been on middle income and low-income workers, who, while they barely make a living wage, also pay the highest prices for consumer goods and services from groceries to utilities and have to fill in teh gaps while the higher-income people get tax breaks that they themselves can't have. That promise that it would "trickle down" came to pass in the form of the smell of GOP urine.

A $5,000 credit if I can afford to pay $5,000 isn't a help, it's a wash.

Corporations like McDonalds, which makes billions of dollars off of average consumers, and pays young people and/or low-income workers just at minimum wage, have traditionally ended up with ZERO tax liability at the end of a fiscal year. Between the low income and part-time workers and the larger businesses and corporations, all of that "no-pay" debt then shifts directly to the middle class, who are the ones who can least afford it. Yet, helping corporations like McDonald's and business owners who make more than $250k a year pay lower taxes was supposed to make this society better when all it did was turn these working people (called 'welfare recipients' by the GOP) into lifetime economic slaves who can barely get by and will likely be where they are for the rest of their lives, because social programs to help them get a boost up are being cut from the budget AS corporate taxes are lowered.

5) People who don't work for a living because they're lazy make up less than 1% of the nation's welfare "Brats," corporations, however, make up more than 48% of those on the government dole to the tune of, not millions, but BILLIONS.

6) What does all of the above do? It keeps the average working class stiff in an eternal cycle of poverty from the first job they get to the day they retire, and just long enough to hear some Republican come along in their late stage in life and threaten to take all they have left: Social Security and Medicare.

7) Too lazy to work is a racist disqualifier, because it is meant to apply to the 42% of African Americans who make so little money that they end up not having to pay taxes. They quote that 42% of AMERICANS don't pay taxes--what they really mean is that 42% of WORKING BLACK AMERICANS end up with zero liability at return time every April. They are trying to scapegoat some of the most disenfrachised citizens in America by calling them "lazy" and "welfare recipients" when the people they're talking about DO work to make them rich--almost for free. They say they love America, but clearly can't stand certain Americans.

8) The REAL statistics are that 42.5 million Americans have zero tax liability on their returns, (32%); not 42%.

If they can hook you with those figures, they actually tie directly into low-income slave-wage black Americans who actually DO work for a living and are not paid properly. They are overworked and underpaid due to the residual effects of racism and working for phenomenal cheapskates who, if they could use their labor for free and it not be against Federal law, would do just that.

Overall, as they try to slink and slither under that Jim Crow III, Esq. lie about "lazy people who don't pay taxes" (they refer to low-income blacks who don't get decent paying jobs (or ANY jobs at times) BECAUSE THEY ARE black...they use them as an excuse to cover their own dirt of getting rich off labor that they don't want to pay for, by way of salary or benefits like affordable healthcare coverage. They enrich their own mindsets about racial superiority by taking away another man's pride, just because they CAN.

I'm happy to say that my husband IS Joe the Plumber, but he doesn't need a tax break to hire anyone because he works alone. He left corporate America in order to be his own man and call his own shots and be his own man. If he needs workers, he can hire subcontractors and Indies who are then responsible for reporting and paying their own taxes. He'd rather work with indies... regular employees make LESS money and have to spend more time making less money. A "job" isn't helping you, but getting a long-term tax cut or no tax increases so that you can own your own "average Joe" business and work from home--that's what Republicans are deathly afraid of. They won't have a vast pool of slave-wage minions to pull from if Obama's plan works.

That's less time away from home, away from spouses and children, and more time to spend cultivating a family and a home. That's the kind of earning, spending, saving and investing power that we all need. Under Obama's plan, the slave wages stop and maybe everyone gets a shot at building a competing business right next door to good old boy, Joe the Plumber.

I'm all ears to arguments on this point

Now, Joe the Plumber can, like Joe the Taxpayer, do his civic duty and quit whining and pay his taxes like a good Joe the Citizen will be happy to do.

If they want to take advantage of free enterprise and a free market economy, they have to learn that it costs money-tax money-to keep it moving along. If they benefit from it, they can pay for it like everyone else has to.

The Republicans keep talking about someone taking "their" money and giving it to lazy people who don't work. But it ain't "their" money once it hits the Uncle Sam Jackpot. It belongs to all of us. It's OUR tax money. Period.

These are the same people who want all the benefits and profits of American free enterprise, but don't want to pay the costs to keep the system rolling.

What is anti-American? A tax dodger or people who want to end a murderous and contentious war?

In a Nutshell: McCain/Palin Policies & Philosophies

In a nutshell, based on history, we can sum up John McCain and Sarah Palin's bid for President and Vice President and without injecting not one ounce of the racist tactics that Hillary used when she got desperate at the last minute and lost the nomination:

1) McCain and Palin are running on the "f-y'all" platform ticket; meaning they basically could care less about anyone who doesn't make at least $5m a year or who doesn't own a business netting at least $250k annually. Meet Joe the Plumber Inc.

2) Mac and Pal are philosophically of the same political ilk as Reagan and the two Bush's. That old western cowboy" school of thought -- and they don't seem to have a clue that the world around them has changed. It is the only reason possible that they could be insane enough to keep pulling out Obama boogeymen and think that anyone besides an old dying generation that used to believe that crap is still listening to them. Anyone else who espouses McCain's and Palin's tactics are simply insane and there's nothing else that can be said about them.

3) If we all have not understood by now that "trickle down" economics means rich Republicans like to unzip their pants or in Palin's case, squat, and give the rest of us "golden shower," I have no clue what it's going to take. Another two or three or ten wars? 100 years in Iraq? 1,000 years trying to colonize the Middle East, where we were never wanted in the first place? More ditched banks? Higher prices and lower income? What's it going to take for the Upper 9/10ths of the American public to "get it"?

4) McCain has said he backs "certain " programs, but has yet to tell us where he's planning to get the money to pay for it -- especially since he's unpatriotically cutting "everybody's" taxes. No, McCain is cutting taxes for the rich--the only way he's going to keep any programs is if they "heart" his own kind and he can tax US -- the middle and lower middle and poorer working classes -- to get the money. They already use our tax money to get astronomical breaks and shelters and write-offs for themselves, which is supposed to enrich the rest of us; but it never will because these people are ruthless, greedy and selfish and don't give a ra$$ about anyone but themselves.

5) They keep tossing out the word "socialist" as if something's wrong with it, but they don't appear to have a clue what a "socialist" is.

6) And if by "liberal," they mean to strike a broad dissonant chord between godless people and their type of godliness, when they supposedly believe in God so much that they use His name to control people's minds and their material substance, and then prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that their particular brand of "religion" is the kind NOBODY in their right mind should believe in ... then liberal is what everyone who believes in a loving God should be. They use their faith to excuse and explain their hatred of other people and then have the nerve enough to tell US how the devil is trying to control the USA. If the devil is trying to control the USA, he's sure got a deep grasp on the Republican Party and their Conservative ilk -- because they're in LaLaLand on their own varied theologies. Their actions alone are enough to tell us what the devil really is up to.

Let me see if I got this straight: I've been working hard all of my life for, basically, nothing...and along comes John McCain and says, in a nutshell, that anyone making less than $5m a year--annually--is, as far as he's concerned, either middle class or poor. Because he feels so sorry for us working types, he's decided we can have a $5,000 annual bone that he's going to tax us for and do the "favor" of giving it back--meaning, on the average, a working stiff family still pays $800 a year out of pocket for health insurance premiums, along with the rising costs associated with that insurance.

Now then, along comes Barack Obama and says he will not increase taxes for 95-percent of the middle-income population that gets hit the hardest with taxes and who also make it possible for McCain and his rich elitists to write off and shelter so much of their own taxes to the point where they don't really pay them at all, or don't pay very much. Obama also says he wants to make tax cuts for the middle and lower middle and poorer working classes long-term and not just some rebate you MIGHT happen to get if you're extremely lucky and rich enough to afford health insurance. Though it's really those of us who have little to write off and no tax shelters who are footing the bill for them, whatever they get is supposed to somehow send little trickles of 'golden showers' our way.

In other words, the richer THEY get, the more they will have to share with us peons and sandal clad minions.

McCain says that "redistributing the wealth" the Obama way instead of the way McCain plans to redistribute it (which is the same way Bush redistributed it and nearly drove this nation into bankruptcy in the process) of the people who paid the most into it is "welfare."

So, basically--he's calling nearly everyone who actually works for a living AND doesn't own a small business called "Joe the Plumber, Inc." which nets more than $200k a year, OR anyone who doesn't travel in his social elite circles of people who make $5 million or more a year, "welfare recipients."

whth? If we can't put all the pieces of McCain's messages together to come up with the coherent whole "f--- y'all" philosophy he's espousing -- as has happened for the past eight years over and over again -- McCain deserves to win.

That would be a good one -- watching him screw things up even worse than they are now.

John McCain did okay last night, for a change; but he was constantly off point and didn't really say anything about himself or his stance that we didn't already know.

Amazing he's in favor of reform and helping teachers and autistic kids and the like, but is going to cut taxes. ON who? And who's he going to cut spending on? And he never answered Obama's question:

Where are you going to get that money from John?

We've watched them tax us to give tax breaks to the wealthy, now he's saying he's going to tax us the amount of money he intends to give us in tax breaks. That's a wrap...and a wash.

You have so much military experience, so you say; but confess you know nothing about the economy and have proven so with your actions over the last 10 years. You helped get us IN this mess, you can get your butt in that SoD office and help figure out, under a presidential standing order committee, how to get us out and alleviate the collateral damage at the same time. You CAN do more than one thing at a time, right?

WE certainly do not need too little of one and too much of the other.

The economy is everyone's main concern for the next 4-8 years or longer. Obama has proven he's the man for the job by the way he's handled his own campaign finances and his own household, and his own life.

Joe Biden's the man we need to replace Dick Cheney--Joe just has more sense and is more sensible and sensitive to other people who don't live in his neighborhood or go duck-hunting with him--'thank God'.

What is the "rift" between homeowners, burdened or not, and 'taxpayers'? Are not the homeowners taxpayers, too? They pay income taxes into the federal and state governments, PLUS homeowner property taxes to their state.

How can homeowner burdens be "shifted" to taxpayers when the homeowners ARE also the taxpayers = one and the same.

I am aware that the more house you own, the more tax you pay - technically speaking - BUT aren't the homeowners INCLUDED IN THE TAXPAYER ROLES?

I mean they have to have jobs to get homes because people on welfare and social security only can't afford a house...

Okay, yes...the Lenders end up making the government (meaning us taxpayers) responsible for the Debt they encumbered, but the homeowners who are saddled with the debt are taxpayers also, who, in a sense, are actually benefiting from the use of their own money on some level, however equal or unequal.

It should sicken Bu//sh** to his heart to for him to see what he's done and whose lives he has destroyed in his quest for money and the blood of other people's children.

Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga) knew that from Day One and they called her a nut for questioning their motives, then drove her out of office on a lie. Then, nearly everybody drank the merchandised Kool-Aid, except for a privileged few--and boom, here you go.

The Rockefellers, the JP Morgans and the Rothschilds have cornered the market on national and world banking systems. These banking systems are not owned, managed or run by the federal government, as we all should know by now.

They are owned by private and very well-known Wall Street bankers who have, over the years, diversified their holdings into more and more and more banks and banking systems, and even "trickled" themselves down to a sub-prime (B&C-for "black and colored" paper) lending market just to have the Dems to blame for trying to be fair if that fell through. Then they set it up to fall through.

This is no conspiracy theory. It is a fact.

They ran this country into debt and bankruptcy during the first Great Depression and their heirs and descendants have somehow decided its time to do it again. Except that maybe people are little smarter now than they were then.

People were beginning to "own" themselves and their own lives and destinies when Bill Clinton left office, and for those types who run the market, that is over the top. They had to get him out and get a Republican back in there (meaning, "Bu//sh**," the only trump card they were holding at the time.) Dem policies takes the control out of their hands and puts it back into the hands of the people where it belongs. They don't want that. It could make them have to live off a six-figure salary (or less, like the rest of us) instead of them having unlimited riches at our expense and producing such illegitimate and unnecessary humans as Paris Hilton, who thumb it in our faces and smoke expensive cigars over ours and our children's dead bodies.

They didn't even need that BAILOUT money.

They crashed out the banking systems intentionally, knowing that the middle class and working class poor would be sent into a tailspin just trying to survive, which would feed the unending money chain back into their pockets through having to spend money we already didn't have, which would consequently put everyone back where they belong: Groveling and infighting and blaming each other instead of the real culprits.

That said, there is no actual real "failed" bank. They have managed to portray these banks as failed, and they have people spinning around in a tizzy trying to figure out what went wrong. Nothing went wrong. At least not for them.

That's why John McCain was able to say the "fundamentals of our economy" are still strong. He knew that, 'fundamentally speaking,' not literally, the bank owners orchestrated this crash in order to get folk back to where they "belong." They can't have people "dreaming" and getting rich for themselves when they need a fresh supply and crop of minions who will keep them on top of The Game; you know...the Game that we think is a "secret" if we watch enough Oprah and allow ourselves to be hypnotized by it.

In the meantime, if we destroy ourselves clashing with one another over who's better than who, over race, ethnicity, skin color, hair texture, class, educational status, and they can keep shipping OUR sons and daughters off to a bogus war in order to keep them and their families safe, everything is "fine." Successful surge. WE got him. WE won the war. We didn't win shit -- THEY won, and whoever "they" is depends on who the hell is talking about this.

Palin wanted to be a part of THAT game instead of the redneck one she's been subjected to most of her life. The word "reformer" comes to mind, but she was trying to reform HER own life, not ours. She took a chance at cashing in her governor chips for a bigger pie piece because no one else really wanted to be tied in Geo-Bu//sh**.

They had already made their fortunes at The Game and knew where this was headed. It had to crash sooner or later. That's the circle of life and all fairy tales must end some day.

America has smartened up and woke up, for the first time, since probably the 1950s. McCain, The "Maverick," had to pull Pain-in out of his arse at the last minute because he had no one else who wanted it (and my guess would be that he was thumbing his nose at the "NO thanks, John" people who wanted nothing to do with it OR with George Bu//sh**). Pain-in then fell in line and got used, to say the least. To say the most...

What's funny...yet creepy and unnerving, is that SHE actually thinks her "experience" has merit and that America has been fighting for a good cause in Iraq all along. She really believes that...and they got her good and made a pure jackass out of the Ice Princess. Do they even have jackasses in Alaska?

They tried to usher in the New World Order on the GOP party legs, but wasn't expecting "that one" to come in and screw up their plans. Barack Obama stood up and decided he wasn't going to let them get away with it. He's making a grand effort to "save us" from ourselves, because in the end, if this market does crash, he's already surpassed the level where it's going to hurt him and his family. You HAVE to love America to take that kind of a risk, especially if the only gain is a possibility that someone might go off his rocker and shoot you. It's happened before.

That's what makes me believe Obama's busting his tail feathers to not let America be sunk by these unscrupulous GOP GOB sons of be-atches. Yeah, I'm really mad as hell now, as you can tell.

We all got "f-ed," every one of us -- in this madness to compare our looks and skin color to one another and talk about who is better than whom on the global and economic scale (even had Indians in India paying big money for skin-lighteners to keep from being associated with black people), they were laughing and partying at our expense. Question was, how long did they expect to get away with it?

They ignored Barack Obama for two whole years, because they never expected, with that "GOB race card," that Obama would ever make it as far as he did. When he became the "oh oh" on their playing deck after winning the nomination from Hillary--whom they could have handled a lot easier--they dug deep into that old dry well of tactics: Including using the same old mental atrocities and treacheries of the past to try to wipe him off the game board. They even started demanding that he produce information (birth certificates, etc., as if the fact that he's paid taxes in this country all of his working adult life wasn't enough); stuff that he pulled out and laid on the table the moment he announced his candidacy--everything but the national standard for calling cards: Cold Hard Cash. If they'd been paying attention and taken him seriously, they'd know where all that stuff is and where to find it. I know where it is and nobody's even reading this damned blog.

Now is a good time for Obama to tell them to kiss his you-know-what. Now, they know he's not going out like that and they can't stand it.

There are only two, maybe three, plays left for the GOB_GOP to make. Since Pain-in didn't work out like they thought and came in too late in the game, trying to pass off old shyte as if it was new shyte, they can keep doing an instant replay of Obama's "ties" to William Ayers, of which there are none. OR they can keep misspelling his name on the voting tickets and keep trying to disenfranchise black voters so as to keep people confused and angry while they tip in through the back door and steal bases again; OR John McCain can become an Officer AND a Gentleman, do the right thing and admit that Barack played this game better than he did -- with NOTHING to start off with. The he can take his sheepish asz back to Arizona and drop the wolf-chaser off on the way home.

Now, there's a made for the silver screen movie for you if there ever was one. This is one for the books, that's for sure. Everybody ought to make it to the NYT best-sellers list chipping off stories about this election year, from all kinds of angles.

Obama appeals to America's better sense of judgment, decency, justice, and fair play; that part of us that we keep overlooking for riches and an absolution that will never come. He took a VERY LONG SHOT that this country was smarter than the never-ending ride that the Good Old Boys were taking it on.

Turns out, Obama was right. America is not as stupid or as gullible as they wanted to believe the rest of us are. He trusted us to do the right thing for ourselves; so now it's time to trust him and Joe Biden to take this wild ride back to the starting gate so we can get off and go home.

Problem now is, when (I say when as a verbal act of faith) Obama is sworn in next January, who is going to be the first one to blame him for the GOP problems that it could take his entire first term to dig us from under? Or are the all-powerful "they" going to pull a "JFK" on him before he gets a chance to finish what he started? Or keep him running in circles with BS so much that he won't be able to get anything done.

If there was ever a time when America needed the fair and just and righteous God from the Ancient of Days, and not the Conservative extremist murderous "god" of our nation's slave and racist and 'taking-advantage-of-the-working class poor' history ... that hate-mongering god that people fell for as they were lazily sleeping on their own country and wouldn't even so much as get off their asses to vote: It's right now.

It has to do with the redemption of the selling of our souls and our hearts and our lives and our minds that God blessed us with to a bunch of pirates and their pig-in-lipstick female counterparts over something that wasn't even worth the having.

We traded our souls for the comfort zone of a lie, and they took every advantage, then turned it against us; ALL of us, black, white, Indian and melting-pot-otherwise, legals and illegals.

If we can't get the job done with the right man at the helm, either the great mercy of God will take over for our own good and bring this to a swift and decisive end ... or we're all doomed like bleeting sheep left wide open to baying wolves.

Sarah "Drill Baby Drill" Palin would know about those wolves; however, naive and trusting thing that she is, her butt got used, too. If she didn't get used, then she was in on it; and that, to me, makes her worse than Clinton.

Palin & Abuse of Power: Say it ain't so, Joe...

Here's a woman who needs to be put out of her misery and sent home. She's got a pregnant teenage daughter, a young infant baby with Downs syndrome, and several outstanding charges against her as governor, including the abuse of power rub and an $800m lawsuit from Exxon re: a pipeline contract dispute.

Sarah, I'm a woman and if you were a man, I'd tell you the same thing: You need to go home and tend to your personal and family issues, AND the state you were elected to run as governor. You have no time to be president or vice president of this country, and you are not capable of handling it even if you did have time.

Truthfully, I have a feeling that what's his name has thrown in the white flag of surrender on this election...he picked a poor choice for a running mate because no one wanted to inherit Bush's legacy alongside him, then he runs one of the most negative and dirty campaigns since Bush took him out for supposedly having a black child "out of wedlock." Then to top that off, his staff keeps walking out, Republicans keep converting or saying they want nothing to do with this election at all, the RNC was nearly a total disaster after it got hit with the very floods that they prayed on the DNC, then he goes to Ohio and tells the workers there that he can't stop a train wreck that he approved to send their jobs to a foreign country (now would be a good time for Obama to talk about NAFTA)...THEN HE PUTS THE ICING ON THE CAKE, and threatens the Sunshine State - with its 3.2 million retirees, of which I will be one of them in about 15-20 years - that he is going to cut off their Medicare, as well as he pulls out of Michigan and gets criticized by his own "too late" running mate for doing it. If Obama and Biden are not having some incredibly god-given good luck right now, I don't know what else they'd want to call it.

McCain may as well have threatened to cut off their social security AND any SSI benefits they made be receiving, said "f" you and I don't care if you have to live on the streets and die.

The banana state that hangs off the east coast all alone is FILLED with retirees who have worked all of their lives and not made anywhere NEAR the $5 million a year that McCain requires in order NOT to be considered "middle class." Then, he tells them OUT LOUD that he's going to pull the plug on the little they do have -- in a nation that spends $850 BILLION to bail out thieving CEOs and sends more than $80 BILLION to a nation that it raped and ravaged, which now has its own surplus funds?

Yeah - you betcha, say it ain't so, Joe Sixpack!

McCain is handing this election over to Obama for what reason? (Because I know he isn't stupid enough to make the mistakes he is making and still really want to be President. I realize he's out of touch, but so out of touch that he's just rank crazy? Say it ain't so John: Maybe you've changed your mind and don't want the job after all because "You can't be that stupid!" You are making this easy for the Obama staff and they were so looking forward to a real fight!)

[Especially with that Ayers stuff that happened when Obama was a kid, to a man who was acquitted and whom Obama had nothing to do with at the time; while you and Palin are guilty of consorting with, conspiring with, admiring and giving smiling and nodding approval to terrorists--abortion clinic bombers and state secessionists who hate this country--as full grown responsible adults who were in politics when you did it?! Man, that was going to be a party just taking you out on that one alone!]

Deep inside I think McCain likely knows Obama would make a better president, but he can't just toss in the reins after so much time and energy and money, to the tune of millions, has been spent on keeping the rich in their positions of power while they screw over the rest of us. They don't want that.

We most certainly cannot, will not, should not, turn this country over to the likes of Sarah Palin. Not now. Not in the future. Not ever. Her rising to the office of president if McCain got elected and something happened to him is NOT an option, at least not a viable one. That episode should call for an immediate recall or impeachment or whatever they do in Washington and call in the reinforcements to bring Hillary Clinton back if Palin gets in the Oval Office hot seat.

The following excerpt is from PAC's determination to re-exploit and re-hash old Obama smears because Palin wasn't paying attention when these items were written off while Clinton was still campaigning:

He even has terrorist friends he won't denounce. One such man is William Ayers, a leader in the radical terrorist group the Weatherman Underground. The group bombed several government buildings, including the Pentagon, killing civilians and police officers. In 2001, Ayers said he had no regrets for his actions and wished he could have done more. The ties between Obama and Ayers are tight. Both served on two non profit boards and they worked closely together. Ayers even hosted a political event at his home for Obama. Obama has acknowledged he is a friend of Ayers and defends his association by saying he, Obama, was only 8 years old at the time of the Pentagon bombing. However, Obama has no explanation as to why he is still a friend of Ayers.

Obama has even been endorsed by radicals such as Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan. No one can deny hearing about Obama's relationship with the America-hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

There should be little doubt that William Ayers and Louis Farrakhan and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright are rooting for Obama - because he is one of them.

Re “Politics of Attack” (editorial, Oct. 8) and “Obama and ’60s Bomber: A Look Into Crossed Paths” (front page, Oct. 4):

As the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen in the 1970s (I was then chief of the criminal division in the Eastern District of Michigan and took over the Weathermen prosecution in 1972), I am amazed and outraged that Senator Barack Obama is being linked to William Ayers’s terrorist activities 40 years ago when Mr. Obama was, as he has noted, just a child.

Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen.

Because Senator Obama recently served on a board of a charitable organization with Mr. Ayers cannot possibly link the senator to acts perpetrated by Mr. Ayers so many years ago.

I do take issue with the statement in your news article that the Weathermen indictment was dismissed because of “prosecutorial misconduct.” It was dismissed because of illegal activities, including wiretaps, break-ins and mail interceptions, initiated by John N. Mitchell, attorney general at that time, and W. Mark Felt, an F.B.I. assistant director.

Just who is keeping up the Race Hype?

TO THOSE WHO ADVOCATE AND PROMOTE RACISM AGAINST OBAMA

Obama said what he had to say about race issues and left it at that.

Too many drama queens and kings keep up the race hype and then blame others for reacting to it. By doing so, they not only proliferate it, but prove their unwillingness to let it go when everyone else is trying to.

That says a lot about THEM, not about Obama.

In the meantime, those rich elitist Republicans could care less about anything except money...if you don't make at least a half million a year, you're as good as an n-word to them anyway, according to John McVain.

As George Bush once said, "You sandal-clad minions" mean absolutely nothing to him, and he could care less what color you are. I would guess that he meant just that.

In this video, Obama wasn't in Philadelphia MS stumping a speech on the gravesites of the Freedom Riders who were killed working to get out the black vote. Reagan did this, while spewing highly racist rhetoric about "back to basics." He did this just before James Byrd was lynched in Jasper TX because some backwoods krakkas took his words literally, as Reagan likely meant them to be taken.

Obama spoke from Philadelphia PA, the City of Brotherly Love and from the Hallway to American Freedom and Justice for ALL.

I see the difference. The real race-mongerers can't see it; and it's so like their kind to call others racist just to cover up the smell of their own percolating stench. Sarah Palin and John McCain allowed a supporter to scream out "Kill Him!" in reference to Obama and they did nothing to stop it or to let them know that this is not THAT kind of campaign. In their refusal to address it is the message that they must agree with it. That says a lot.

Note to Sarah Palin if she ever sees this: That is pronounced "per-CO-lating," not "perk-U-lating."

Riddle me this: When you listen to people like Joel Osteen and John Hagee and Pat Robertson talk about "God speaking" to people through flooding them, bombing them, shedding the blood of innocent people...do you use headlines like "Pat Robertson calls John McCain The Messiah"? No.

If we all took these kinds of things and distorted and twisted them out of context like you do, there were plenty of times when these Republican Thugs said "God is speaking through John McCain and Sarah Palin" when McCain and Palin are two of the worst killers and bona fide racists this nation has seen since Ronald Reagan. You have some nerve promoting this BS when Farrakhan said no such thing. He said what we all say about ministers of the gospel, singers, and speakerswho inspire others to do something to change their own lives: That "God is using them in a mighty way." He COULD be right about that, but Obama never went around telling anyone to preach that he is The Second Coming; religious overzealous fanatics do crazy stuff like that and Obama, thank God, isn't one of them. Farrakhan did NOT call Obama The Messiah, and you are just as racist against black people as "some" white people are for even spreading that lie. People have said God is speaking through me and using me in a mighty way to touch the lives of others...does that make ME The Messiah, too?

This is the same thing some black people who were jealous of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said when they called him "Jesus" for trying to help lift up black folk and poor folk in America. It was their own attitudes, and not Dr. King's actions, that took them to the pits of hell in their own darkened and demonic minds. You aren't talking about Obama, you're telling on yourselves. That kind of evil is inside of YOU and it twists things around so that the only one you can hear talking is you.

Raw Story reports that John McCain, against the advice of wiser heads, addressed a conference of the far right Oregon Citizens Alliance in the early 90s. He should have listened.

The speaker just prior to McCain publically expressed sympathy for Shelly Shannon, who then stood accused (and was eventually convcicted) of the attempted murder of Dr. George Tiller of Wichita, Kansas -- as well as carrying out a multi-state spree of clinnic arsons across the West.

Shelly Shannon also considered herself a soldier in the underground terror organization, Army of God, which views Shannon as a "hero of the faith" and a "Warrior Soldier in the Army of God." The group devotes a section of its web site to celebrating her exploits and her martyrdom.

The Post also added, almost discretely, that Mrs. McCain’s wealth “may” exceed $100 million (although most sources estimate it is worth $200 million or more) and—for the record—that “she was the apple of her father’s eye.”

The Post did not mention that Mrs. McCain’s father was a highly-placed fixture in the Arizona branch of the national organized crime syndicate: He was the chief henchman of the late Kemper Marley, Arizona point man for infamous mob chief Meyer Lansky and his powerful partners-in-crime, the super-rich Bronfman family of Montreal.

In that capacity—for 40 years until his death in 1990—Marley was undisputed political boss of Arizona, acting as the behind-the-scenes power over both the Republican and Democratic parties.

As such, his wealth and connections played the primary role in advancing John McCain’s political career from the start.

Can a presidential candidate justify a long and friendly relationship with someone who, back in the 1970s, extolled violence and committed crimes in the name of a radical ideology -- and who has never shown remorse or admitted error? When the candidate in question is Barack Obama, John McCain says no. But when the candidate in question is John McCain, he's not so sure.

Obama has been justly criticized for his ties to former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers, who in 1995 hosted a campaign event for Obama and in 2001 gave him a $200 contribution. The two have also served together on the board of a foundation. When their connection became known, McCain minced no words: "I think not only a repudiation but an apology for ever having anything to do with an unrepentant terrorist is due the American people."What McCain didn't mention is that he has his own Bill Ayers -- in the form of G. Gordon Liddy. Now a conservative radio talk-show host, Liddy spent more than 4 years in prison for his role in the 1972 Watergate burglary. That was just one element of what Liddy did, and proposed to do, in a secret White House effort to subvert the Constitution. Far from repudiating him, McCain has embraced him.

How close are McCain and Liddy? At least as close as Obama and Ayers appear to be. In 1998, Liddy's home was the site of a McCain fundraiser. Over the years, he has made at least four contributions totaling $5,000 to the senator's campaigns -- including $1,000 this year.

Last November, McCain went on his radio show. Liddy greeted him as "an old friend," and McCain sounded like one. "I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family," he gushed. "It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."

Sen. Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican senator and a figure in Alaska politics since before statehood, was indicted today on seven counts of failing to disclose thousands of dollars in services he received from a company that helped renovate and maintain his home.

The first sitting U.S. senator to face federal indictment since 1993, Stevens has been dogged by a federal investigation into his home renovation project and his dealings with wealthy oil contractor.

The investigation has upended Alaska state politics and cast scrutiny on Stevens — who is running for re-election this year — and on his congressional colleague, Rep. Don Young of Alaska, who is also under investigation.

Trickling on Down: Enrich the rich so the Poor stay poor

"Trickle down" usually means just that. Drip-drop and 'pissonya' if you don't got it like I got it. Then, they unzip and "p" right on top of our heads, one trickle at a time.

In a New World Order, only certain people were ever entitled to be rich, whether by hard work or by inheritance. By the "luck of the draw," those born poor were typically supposed to stay that way. The upper upper class then inspired pointless infighting about everything from race to nationality and from who had good hair and bad hair and dark skin and light skin or who is upper middle class, lower middle class, working class poor and just straight-up poverty-stricken, to whatever-have-you just to take and keep the attention off themselves.

The bottom line is: They don't give a dam^ about any of that. All they ever cared about was themselves.

That's what Dr. King, in organizing the Poor People's Campaign, was trying to tell us all. Palin laughed at "community organizers," but not only was Jesus Christ a community organizer, so was Mohandas Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Princess Diana, even Michael Jackson did some "community organizing" during his USA for Africa world tour. Bono is a community organizer, ministers and preachers and chaplains are community organizers, people who serve in the Peace Corps and Americorps and with the Red Cross and the United Way and UNICEF, and who work tirelessly on grassroots efforts and events and activities of all kinds around the world in an effort to "heal the world and make it a better place," are CO's.

And even more importantly, so are all of the people who staff and volunteer for McCain's and Obama's campaigns; and the people who work to get the word out and get people to vote on election day. They ridiculed even their own people when they laughed about that. To hear Palin and her crowd of crows laugh about that shows us how tacky they are and what a pretentious and hoary and inhumane kind of folk they really are. It was like watching a

But getting back to the NWO, it was supposed to have worked in such a way as to keep the working class poor alive only long enough to support and broaden the agenda of the rich. They would accomplish this by "educating the masses" just enough to get jobs, the kind that will forever keep them in poverty and debt. The idea was to force them to spin gold from hay or to make bricks without straw and if they couldn't do it, oh well. Too bad, so sad. Who cares?

'Bootstrap economy' is not a way of life or a work ethic, it is a taunt and a mimick by the well-to-do that is aimed directly at those they "enslave" in order to keep them and their posterity on top and well off.

Then, when the middle class on all levels and the working class poor are slowly and methodically killed off (through war, poverty, famine, dwindling and declining health care, through the government-controlled spread of disease, as well as through fear and intimidation and jealousy and infighting and back-biting amongst one another in the promotion and promulgating and recycling over race, class, and ethnicity, as well as over gender and lifestyle choices), the next generation of 'sandal-clad minions' (as George Bush called us all) can replace the old dying ones who took their eyes off the ball and the cycle rolls on.

Anyone else who "made it big" in their life span was to be considered the "miracle that shouldn't have happened" unless they were in the entertainment or sports fields, which also served to further enrich the already-rich.

It worked, too. Until now.

We the people of the United State of America, in order to form even a MORE perfect Union than before, have finally awoken out of the lull of non-sensical slumber, stood up, and demanded to be counted and to have someone in office where our voices can be heard and where the USA can finally be the greater nation that it could have been long ago if "someone" hadn't gotten greedy and selfish.

October Wind-Up: Last Night's Debate Winner

That's the Best 2 out of 3 and McCain and Palin's numbers are slipping as we come around the corner to Election Day 2008. Yet, it's still not time to relax.

Palin has been been made out to be exactly what she is -- an inexperienced candidate who is not ready to lead this nation. She doesn't even have any business being Governor of any state, let alone Vice President of the nation. She will never ever be taken seriously.

McCain's "SP Trump Card" failed.

Bottom line in last night's debate: McCain told people in an off-handed way NOT to vote for him. His words were "We can't afford to turn this nation over to a beginner," or "someone with no experience," or words to that effect... more toward the end of the debate. He wasn't talking about Obama, he was taking a side-swipe at Palin, who has criticized him for conceding defeat in Michigan. McCain knows he has lost and it is only a matter of time. Bush and everyone who thinks like him has to leave office or we're all done. Everyone except them and their rich Arab oil-shipping magnates, that is. Taxes are going to be raised anyway--Obama's point is who's supposed to foot the bils when they come in? The people who are getting the greatest benefit from this nation, the rich and the abundantly prosperous business owners. For them, "trickle down" has meant 'p-- on all of you sandal-clad minions'. Yet, they are the ones who have been triple-dipping in our pockets (low wages, mediocre healthcare, big tax shelters and writeoffs that we pay for) and playing with the lives of our loved ones and keeping us fooled and divided for the wrong reasons for more than 100 years.

But the Bible teaches us that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous; so God is causing the winds of change in America -- change that is going to benefit all of us. I don't even think Obama or Biden are aware of exactly what the Lord is doing in their lives at this moment. It is all good.

Win or lose, God has used Barack and Michelle Obama for a purpose: To tell us to stop being afraid and stand for something and stand and watch His glory in all things. That that we don't believe will ever change can be moved overnight, as God sees fit.

I believe Obama/Biden will win in November because of this alone. Truth told, though -- even if they do not win this election, God has still used Obama in a might way in America, to take us to the place where Dr. King would have wanted and expected us to be by now.

In whatever manner that Barack and Michelle Obama have come into our lives at this time, be it personally and up front and close or just through the websites and airwaves, in whatever manner it was: Their being here this season and not being afraid has made a difference in and changed all of our lives for the better. Even those of us who don't know it yet soon will.

If I were to ever meet them in person, I would thank them for their obedience to God. Just for being who they are and for taking a stand in perilous, hard, and a wild and crazy era...and in a nation where everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong.

But still we rise to the occasion...

I wonder if McCain is going to prove out to be a man of honor in this case and admit that Obama is the better candidate?

I know that he can't just drop out, because too much time and money has been spent; but I think he's coming to the conclusion that he's too old, too tired, not focused, is losing, doesn't have a viable running mate, is losing money, losing attention, zest, appeal, and one of the reasons he didn't go after that old tired character debate regarding William Ayers or Jeremiah Wright is because he knows (a) it's unfounded; and (b) people are tired of hearing about it because we've been there over and over again ad nauseum. It's meant to frighten and distract a nation of people who are still filled with ignorance and hatred for all the wrong reasons--people who will not take the time out to investigate, but will believe anything anyone tells them.

If McCain would have brought up Wright again last night, he'd have been dragged through the mud in this morning's news. Obama is no longer even a member of that church and Wright's no longer a pastor AT that church. Wright has since retired and really didn't say anything wrong in the first place. It's all past tense regardless of what anyone says--and the last thing McCain himself wanted to hear about again is The Keating Five and his own dank and radical and questionable past.

McCain was definitely more directly involved in the Keating Five scandal. In Obama's case, he was simply a member of a church where stood a very angry black man who was angry with good reason: This nation has not been very good to its black citizens, who have worked hard, and for many many years worked without pay -- and that's the truth.

Bringing up Ayers or even Tony Rezko would have brought out things about McCain that I think he no longer wants to think or talk about. People are looking for 'soap opera' or 'reality show' or even Jerry Springer drama toward the end of this election. When they don't get it, they call them "snores," because they are too politically correct and don't draw enough blood.

Yes, we are a bloodthirsty nation; but character attacks -- we've already done it and it's tired, old, and boring in itself.

The best thing he [McCain] can do right now is concede that if the USA wants Obama, it should have Obama. He needs to do the right thing for this country for once and step aside and finally not just be an officer, but also a gentleman.

On the other hand, Obama, I believe, is ready to get in there and turn this nation around for the good of all concerned and finally wake people up and make this government fair for EVERYBODY who is at least willing to try. Not just a privileged few with high incomes, people who make up a relatively small percentage of this population overall; but for the nation at-large. And that's not change we can Xerox, that's the change we need. It is the hope of the world.

There is a lot that can be said about Obama and his candidacy and what it will mean to America at this point, but now is not the time or the place for another of my "tomes" or "diatribes."

I'll save that one for my best-selling book.

In the meantime... Vote early. Vote sensibly. Vote strong.

AND PUT SOME DEMOCRATS IN YOUR STATE OFFICES FOR GOVERNOR, HOUSE, SENATE, MAYOR, WHATEVER ELSE YOU'RE VOTING ON OR FOR IN YOUR STATE'S GENERAL ELECTION SO THAT OBAMA AND BIDEN DON'T HAVE TO FIGHT HEAVEN AND EARTH FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS TRYING TO GET THINGS DONE.

The more Democrats we put in office, the easier things are going to be for ALL of us; and maybe some of the goodness of God that is in the people who TRULY believe in freedom and justice for ALL (and don't just mouth the words, but also act accordingly) will "trickle down" to the Republicans and those who have made their riches at our expense (i.e., middle class and working class poor) all these years.

Pa. widow sues US over Iraq vet-husband's suicide

PHILADELPHIA - The widow of an Iraq war veteran who committed suicide while in outpatient care for depression at a Veterans Administration hospital is suing the federal government for alleged negligence.

Tiera Woodward, 26, claims her late husband, Donald, sought treatment at a VA hospital in Lebanon, Pa., after three suicide attempts but wasn't seen by a psychiatrist for more than two months.

She says doctors were slow to diagnose her husband with major depression, and that once the diagnosis was made, a psychiatrist failed to schedule a follow-up meeting with her husband after he informed the doctor he had gone off his medication.

Donald Woodward killed himself in March 2006 at age 23.

"I intend to make them make changes," said his mother, Lori Woodward. "I have too many friends whose kids are in Iraq. I have a nephew now in Iraq, in the same unit, and I can't have my family go through this again."

Alison Aikele, a VA spokeswoman in Washington, said the agency does not typically comment on pending litigation.

The lawsuit, filed in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, seeks an unspecified amount for funeral expenses, lost income and pain and suffering.

It echoes other lawsuits nationwide over VA mental-health services, despite legislation President Bush signed in November ordering improvements.

The family of Marine Jeffrey Lucey, also 23, has a federal suit pending in Massachusetts over his June 2004 suicide. However, Obama has no explanation as to why he is still a friend of Ayers.

Obama has even been endorsed by radicals such as Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan. No one can deny hearing about Obama's relationship with the America-hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

There should be little doubt that William Ayers and Louis Farrakhan and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright are rooting for Obama - because he is one of them.

In keeping with such friends, Obama has promised to meet with radical leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without "preconditions" even though Ahmadinejad has promised to "wipe Israel off the map" and "destroy" America. Even radical Hamas terrorists have praised him.

"We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election," Ahmed Yousef, senior Hamas leader was quoted by ABC radio as saying.

Dangerous Economic Plan

And then there are Obama's dangerous economic plans for America.

He wants to almost double the capital gains tax. He wants to strip the FICA tax cap off every worker making more than $97,500. He wants to increase the dividend tax. He wants to let the Bush tax cuts expire - giving almost every American family an automatic tax increase.

He has called for more than $800 billion in new spending programs.

He is so radical he even backed driver's licenses for illegal aliens - even though such a move would help future terrorists move freely in the United States.

He is the most pro-abortion candidate in the history of the country. In 2001, as a state legislator in Illinois, he opposed a bill to protect live born children - children actually born alive! He was the only Illinois senator to speak out against the bill.

He opposes gun rights. He has long history of trying to deny ordinary citizens access to guns. He originally backed Washington D.C. 's total ban on private handguns - a ban that was overturned. Exposing the Truth

Hillary Clinton was late in recognizing the threat Obama posed to her campaign, but once she did, her strategy worked. When Hillary exposed Obama publicly, her campaign saw a major turnaround. Why is Sarah Palin Beating Dead Horses?

The good news is that she is recycling the same old hashed-out Obama smears in different formats and by changing out names, dates, places, and facts, whenever and wherever she sees fit to do so.

Palin is even recycling, at this late stage in the game, certain smears that have already been refuted, rebutted, and proven wrong. She's coming in late and trying to beat a dead horse that Hillary killed on her way out.

She does this by catering to the only audience she has left, uneducated extremists and those of the "mainstream christian conservative" ilk who are typically laughed out of town on any given day because instead of being christians, they are extremists also.

Palin and McCain can keep up that old line if they want--it backfired on Bill and Hillary Clinton and that's all I have to say about it.

The fight between right to lifers and right to choosers wasn't "yes/no"...this woman hasn't even studied her own nation's history on women's rights...

Funny thing...her major was in journalism and she didn't even know how to skate around Katie Couric or Charlie Gibson until McCain's staff schooled her on her own industry about different journalistic styles. No wonder she never made it in broadcast news.

Again, the Silence is Deafening

The news world is incredibly silent tonite on the Biden-Palin debate of this past evening. Besides that gushing "and she's the most attractive thing up there" endorsement from a set of male hormones that went over the top on the penile excitement level, no one is squeaking or even so much as squawking.

Probably because Palin actually did a good job tonite of holding her own (for a change), though it also appears to me personally that neither Palin nor Biden actually "won" this debate.

In all honesty and sincerity, Biden was just as on-point about the directive and mandate on change as Palin was "cutesy-pie" in her attempts to do the old 'wink-eye' strategy at the man just to try to throw him off course. If nothing else works, try general loin arousal. ; - )

Of course, if 'cute' cuts in in American politics and introduces another era of substandard and highly partisan leadership, such as the kind we've all been looking at and experiencing for eight years; we all may as well pack it in and throw away the towel.

So, the real questions are:

Can this nation withstand another four years of George Bush and Dick Cheney control 'in absentia'? Is it fair NOT to believe the Republican Party is capable of "real" change and not just on paper and in BS speeches? Is it more fair to say "let's give them a shot and see if things will get better now that a different KIND of Republican Party is in office who will NOT covet and obey the Bush policies," after all, you can't hold McCain and Palin responsible for what Bush and Cheney did...right (except that they have said over and over again that they will keep it up, no matter what happens).

OR are the American people being blindsided into staying in Iraq for another 100-1,000 years whilst issuing a "our way or hit the highway" message to a bunch of people who obviously want to see this nation destroyed. They'll 'hit the highway,' alright - hard.

If America remains unwilling to at least talk to them, "f" the pre-conditions, will they do just what the Publicans want and keep America reeling into oblivion with these 'things that go bump in the night' scare tactics? At the end of the day, "terrorists" are just other human beings who want, need, and deserve to be heard; to have the opportunity to lay all their cards on the table and finally achieve the peace we all so desperately crave. To think of them as anything less is the same kind of scare tactics that America put into whites that caused black people so much anguish and pain for so many hundreds of years. That whole "they're not even human, like we are, so we don't have to listen to them or even give them a benefit of a doubt" attitude is the kind of inhumane and vicious and decisively racist thing that spawns worldwide violence and criminal behavior, instead of alleviating and curbing it. For Republicans, especially those who claim to be of the conservative religious right, that is not a WWJD mandate, that's a "I believe in God, too; but not that much" kind of way to look at things.

You treat people like animals, they behave like animals; then you have justification for your own behavior.

I heard Sarah Palin, mistakenly, say "that's what we're doing in Iraq, killing terrorists," but yet when all eyes turn to the Middle East to see what's really happening, the bottom line is the "terrorists" they are killing are women and children that they presume will be terrorists in the future, sight unseen; because the real terrorists who are blowing up things and killing are unscathed, spread out, and more determined now than they ever were before.

This is basically why Obama won't lie about the "surge" or the "success" of the War, though McCain continues to try to urge and goad him into it. I say if it takes 100 or even 1,000 years to resolve it, will NEVER be won or resolved; and was, in fact, lost when it started.

One hundred years of a war is pure madness, American armies will never survive it and terrorism will only be given more breeding and festering room. If America is so hellbent on destroying 'terrorists,' maybe it should stop doing the same things that have forced the number of terrorist operatives to diversify globally and increase on sheer will alone.

But still McCain was the one that said the fundamentals of our economy were strong just before Wall Street went to begging like a $700 billion prostitute looking for a "fix" in order to keep from crashing. Going by McCain's estimations and uncanny ability to predict the future so remarkably well, the "world" is in for another doomsday terrorist attack any day now...

John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn't return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.

Almost as striking is the manner in which the mainstream press has shied from reporting the POW story and McCain's role in it, even as the Republican Party has made McCain's military service the focus of his presidential campaign. Reporters who had covered the Vietnam War turned their heads and walked in other directions. McCain doesn't talk about the missing men, and the press never asks him about them.

Kathleen Parker, writing in the National Review Online, says her "cringe reflex is exhausted" after watching the Alaska governor stumble through TV interviews and it's become clear to her that Palin is out of her league.

No pass on question avoidance. She has to answer like everyone else.

And when she DOES answer, she is clearly going to sink her own ship. Biden won't even have to touch her, but I hope he doesn't let her off the hook. Reverse sexism doesn't work-she gets the "hard stuff" the guys have to put up with because, yeah -- it's THAT important. Let her sink on her own, it's clear she's going to sooner or later.

The Bush Bailout Plan: Let 'em have cake and eat it, too

Apparently, the Republican "plan" isn't good enough.

The verbiage is sketchy, general, and not addressing the real issues here, which is the homeowners who got ripped off. The banks ripped themselves off trying to cheat others to meet their monthly quotas in loan closures.

This draft proposal of Bush's mentions not a damned thing about 'homeowners victimized by sub-prime lending'. It was constructed strictly around the rich lenders and the upper income "taxpayers" who have the bulk of their money invested in REITS and Capital Markets. Again, to protect the upper income sector who got rich ripping off the poor in the first place.

There is no consideration for the poor and the homeowners (according to John McCain that's "anybody making less than five million a year") who got burned in this Bush "bailout plan," not a dime's worth of consideration for them. You'll need to take that one to the people who don't do their homework and didn't see this coming years ago.

This bailout plan had better include giving those people who were cheated in the predatory lending market back their money and/or their homes...period. Because Wall Street asking for a $700b welfare check (a reward for screwing up the mortgage industry to prove a -wrongful- point about low income and minority borrowers) isn't going to cut it.

Last Night's Debates, Part II: Taxes

When I was growing up, I was told there are only two things that are certain in life: Death and Taxes. I'm going to add a third: Change. Somehow, a change has got to come and business as usual in the political arena simply isn't working any more. That said, here is my official:

Armchair Unprofessional Critique and Analysis of last night's debates

Again, as I said before, they didn't get much settled last night that they haven't talked about before.

Obama's Strong Points
He's got his playbook all together and in check when it comes to this nation's economy. He is very good at handling money, as we have seen from his campaign strategies and budgeting; and he understands what everyday average people go through, all as a result of his work as a community organizer. Very earthy, grassroots, and all about the people.

He kept his ear to the ground and knows what everyone who supports him wants, needs, and expects of him, but sadly enough, for his entire first term in office, should he win, he's going to be so busy and bogged down with cleaning up the Republican craptank that he may not have time to start working on what he wants for America until it's time to be re-elected. In the meantime, he's going to get angry people who will swear that he hasn't lived up to his promises only because the Repugs are making sure that if he does win, he won't have time to move forward.

Having said that, Obama is about 95 points ahead of McCain on how to take care of home and "his own family." He's not that proverbial daddy who goes off and feeds and houses someone else's kids when his own are starving and laying on the streets. As I said earlier, McCain's only strength is military policy in a nation where most people are calling for an end to that egregious war. I don't think McCain's one and only advantage and strong point over Obama, but certainly not over Joe Biden, is going to be of much help to any of us in the months and years to come. The war is not the only thing in America's dialogue, but it's the only thing McCain knows and knows well.

Obama has avoided tying this war in with the faltering economy, but as an Armchair Politician, I say the two are very much connected. In my household, money that doesn't go to one thing is invariably spent on another.

Obama tried to focus more on HOW money should be spent, and McCain was insistent that "taxes be cut." The funny thing is, as we've said before, taxes can't be cut. Not realistically. A momentary annual tax relief is nothing over the long term, and I heard Obama talking about the long term. McCain was talking about temporary relief. In real time, whatever checks the government writes--be they good checks or checks with nothing more than a rubber stamp that they hope doesn't bounce--the cost of everything is going up, not down. Nobody's getting a cost of living increase to counterbalance these ever-increasing expenses, which are never going to go down.

Therefore, corporate America, (business-class America, that is) which has always double, triple, and quadruple-dipped in the Tax Pot coming from at least 3-4 different directions, are still using that same-o infamous "we want to keep America's workforce strong by being able to give them good jobs." This has tickled the tax pot until it is now doubled over in the strain of laughter. Their stance is, of course, a more philosophically advanced way of saying this country can only exist if we keep having have-nots that we can blame for not having anything; but the message is loud and clear in the end results, not in what they say. We are seeing the end results of that today. National banks are collapsing and all John McCain can talk is war. They've got this "magical elf" message when it comes to keeping the economy strong and Obama can see straight through it and is on top of it.

Obama Weak Points
His weak points on the economy are really hidden strengths upon which he can capitalize. Obama seems to keep trying to keep military money and homeland pocket change economy separate, but it is highly apparent that the two are eternally intertwined.

The American people have been robbed going in and coming out the door because tax money was spent on a war to help fatten the pockets of the already uber-rich while draining the coffers of everyday working citizens. Those are not two separate budgets, they are one and the same. Now, Wall Street wants a big fat welfare check to compensate for their screw-ups and failures, and to cover for the fact that they made themselves millionaires cheating Main Street.

Obama won't say it directly, though, and considering how out of focus a lot of folks are about nearly everything he says, I can't say I blame him. Therefore, someone has to stand strong and say it for him. This is where he got us to put our hands up and be present and accounted for and standing at the ready to take America back under the control of the people. The last thing Obama needs right now is to not have his hands and arms held up when he's facing opponents who take everything he says to the negative extreme. If we don't help counterbalance the lies, we end up with McCain and Palin; and those two are a recipe for future disaster if I ever saw one.

As Obama's running mate, I hope Biden will have free reign to say everything Obama cannot until he's in that chair in the Oval Office. If so, Biden is going to become the most visible, vital and viable vice president in the history of America.

The majority of the world is made up of "brown" people who will be able to relate to Obama much better--they want to talk to him to see if they can get some sense out of him that they haven't been able to get out of any of this country's previous leaders. Obama is right on "pre-conditions" for peace talks: There shouldn't be any and I wish he would stand stronger on that.

He should hear out everything other nation's leaders have to say, put all the cards on the table, and then put his cards on the table and see if they can work it out from there. Not listening to these people, who are supposedly so 'dangerous' and 'cannot be reasoned with,' is what has caused terrorist strength to increase and rise up in triple the numbers that it was yesterday. These people figure if nobody will listen to them and hear their voices, they will still be heard one way or another. It's common "pre-conditions" and an unwillingness to hear them out that have them setting off bombs all over the place in the first place.

The danger America faces is that if it doesn't listen to these people, (Remember: Palestine-Peace Not Apartheid), things can only get worse. When it comes to foreign policy, America is going to be harder on Obama than the world leaders and heads of state will be...they actually WANT to hear what he has to say from the president's chair and not from the sidelines of senatorial opinion.

If he can win them over, he wins the five cards McCain is left holding, and that's the end of the argument about his "foreign policy" experience, or supposed lack thereof. These people need someone to listen to them without pre-conditions...as Obama has said. Not to give them whatever they want to our own detriment, but to at least hear what they have to say and play it one strategy at a time. They are people, too -- and America has to stop taking that Western Cowboy stance of bullying any and everybody who doesn't think like they do or see things their way. Jimmy Carter did it, and he won them over--until they found something else to fight about. No president is ever going to end that, no matter how much foreign policy experience he has.

This fight started with Esau and Jacob/Israel (Isaac's sons and Abraham's grandsons) long before America existed. Now that true Israel is scattered about to the four winds and can't be found until Jesus returns, the argument with the "state of Israel" is even worse and more compelling. As European colonizers who have taken over the middle east, America's Old Guard can't help but side with them in order to preserve their own integrity on what they did right here in America.

These "terrorists" are human beings, too, and deserve to be heard out fully and completely. And if an agreement can't be reached aftyer that, well...the idea is to make certain America is sheltered from any more foreign attacks on American soil, regardless of what it takes to get the job done. Anyone who calls themselves a "christian" and doesn't understand that, I question their faith in their God. I vote for voices over bombs any day. They will be heard, one way or the other.

It's only to McCain's advantage to keep painting hungry and desperate human beings as nothing but killers; because it is the same old tactic that was tried on blacks and Indians in America who would commit crimes just to keep from starving to death and having their land ravaged and stolen from them. It's the same old story in a new day, only this time it's not just America, but other countries are involved. They, too, are in danger of being colonized by European forces who still think their manifest destiny is to control the world and force everyone to be what they are or else. Current politics don't allow respect for other people's ways unless America says its okay for them to be who and what they are. THAT is dangerous thinking. Meeting with foreign nationals without pre-conditions is not the danger.

Bottom line: Without marked and time-stamped resolution, America is right on schedule for another terrorist attack that will make the WTC look like someone hit at a gnat with a flyswatter. So far, the Republicans haven't been able to work it out. Obama needs to be given a chance, the chance that world leaders all over would rather see.

The key question last night was: Is America safer now than it was seven years ago? The obvious answer was no, but John McCain said yes. It's a lie.

BUT, he's the same person who said the American economy was strong only weeks before Wall Street started crumbling in front of our very eyes. Then he tried to make a grandstand of possibly not going to the debates last night to help "save" America's economy from itself.

On that same stupid and arrogant note, I would not be surprised to see, in the coming weeks, Obama's discomfort with the "safety factor" in America come to manifestation. He is very uncomfortable with saying the nation is "safer" and McCain picked that weak spot to dig his finger in. Chances are, Obama's right.

America is no safer, and is worse off since the war was started than they were before. Obama should not be forced to tell a lie just to appease McCain's "so what are you saying, that the soldiers and Petraus failed"?

Well, no, sir; they didn't fail. America failed them, as usual.

McCain's a good for one for propped-up talk about supporting soldiers and families when he obviously will be the last one to do so, especially with that trusty old pen he says he will use to veto earmark pork-barrel spending that Palin advocates. (They all did or do, it's just that Palin has spent three times what everyone else has, in one of the least populated states in the nation). It's too bad that she and her friends didn't succeed in seceding BEFORE this election year, because that ain't all McCain is planning on vetoing that he can't, or won't, say for now.

He told Obama not to say "certain things" in public even if he is planning on doing them behind closed doors. To me, that spoke directly to McCain's inability to be honest and forthright; and to the fact that he would still be willing, in a post-Bush America, to lie to get what he wants and achieve his ends. Obama has stood up and said, "I will not lie to America just to have my way. The American people will be told the truth and allowed to judge for themselves."

Last Night's Debates, Part I: The War

My Armchair Unprofessional Critique and Analysis:

Overall, they didn't get much settled that they haven't talked about before. As much as I advocate Barack Obama for President, he fidgeted on a couple of key points that I felt he could have used to nail John McCain to a wall. But I will give him plus-minus credit for one thing: he has become extremely sensitized to everything he says now because of what has happened in the past. He has sanitized his stance, because the public gets extremist with Obama's points of view and stay in the center when McCain speaks, thus giving him more of the benefit of a doubt for obvious reasons.

With Obama, everything he says is going to be misconstrued, so he erred on the side of caution. I wish he had not done that because there are many of his supporters who need to feel that same strength and air of confidence that he had when he first decided to run. Having said that, I watched the two of them cradle two major topics under duress: Taxes and this War thing.

Obama Strong points
He didn't appear to me to be inexperienced in foreign policy, but he couldn't speak McCain's military-wise lingo, and that shouldn't have surprised anyone because it is McCain's one and ONLY strong point. Obama has more of a broad-based background in all things political and national with a weak spot in military leadership and/or foreign policy, which is why he brought Biden in to offset that. All McCain seems to know is that broken-record "war hero" mess that doesn't make him any more prepared to run this country than Obama. On that, they're about even, so the voters will have to decide if they want a President who can do more than one thing at a time and who has a vice president who can back him up and advise him on his weaknesses; or if they want a President whose only knowledge and experience is in military effectiveness, though whatever he has backed Bush on has not proven that out; who also has a vice president who knows basically nothing at all on the home-front or in foreign international policy, who will have to be taught and learn her job as she goes.

Obama Weak Points
I didn't hear in his speech that his issue was a weakness in "foreign policy." I heard that he can't speak the "military lingo" that John McCain can. McCain's statements were forced and contrived in order to prove out the only strength he has as a candidate: His years served in the military. While saying everything about nothing on foreign policy, McCain was very arrogant in his attacks leveled at Obama, who tried a little too hard to underplay for my taste. He had that "can't attack a person the nation perceives as a war hero" look on his face.

It didn't sound like Obama was unschooled on foreign national policy; in fact, he sounded exactly the opposite. What I heard was a resounding "fear" on his part to hammer back hard at McCain, likely due to what he's already been through in the media when he takes a stronger stance. I understood what he was trying to say while simultaneously avoiding having his verbiage misconstrued. McCain is really making a big deal out of this "meeting people like Ahmine...whatever...without pre-conditions."

I understand what Obama was trying to say, but I also wish he had said, "Look, you've met with these people before under supposed 'pre-conditions' and they haven't heard a word you've said. Nothing. In my opinion, it's not going to hurt anything to try a different approach."

To me, personally, there is a difference between this John Wayne theatre "rounding up my posse tough-guy-Annie-get-your-gun" approach to everything--it's apparently not working out. The Taliban and Al Qaieda is now stronger, faster, more savvy, more concentrated and more diverse and spread out -- due to this failed war -- than they have ever been in their checkered history. McCain kept trying to force Obama to say the war was won and the surge was successful and I could tell he was very uncomfortable with that lie. It wasn't. And it never will be, that's why McCain is so arrogant about staying staying in Iraq for a hundred or even a thousand years--he knows America lost this war as it did Vietnam and won't say it. Clinton's strategy for kicking butt in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia during his time in office was more efficient and well-planned and timed than was Bush's in Iraq. It was done quick and was overwith and came the closest to being resolved that it ever was before in history. Score for Dems who see people as people instead of constantly injecting terrorists as anything but human. They are; Just the fact that they can be killed says they're as human as we are. Jimmy Carter had the correct approach as well. The Republicans are just war-mongering killers who think they are the only ones who are right.

McCain knows that if Obama says the "surge" was successful, he detracts from his initial and more truthful assessment that it was a momentary success and we shouldn't be blindsided by it, or rest on our laurels. If he says it failed, it's a direct attack on the soldiers, their families, Petraus, and everyone who's sacrificed their lives on this "Mission that shouldn't have happened." I'll give McCain a half-point for that one. The deal's done and the next president isn't going to be able to talk about what shouldn't have happened, but how they are going to deal with the weaknesses and failures that are a result of the fact that it DID happen.

Somehow or another in the back of his mind, I know Obama must be thinking that the surge was only indicative of momentary success, not overall success. "No, sir," I wish he had said, "I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment of the War in Iraq, overall. Considering that any fabricated -wins- in the imagination of the Republican Party, are understandable goals of trying to keep your current president from leaving office in shame, this war has been a dismal failure. Though the soldiers themselves have done an excellent and exemplary job, but they have suffered at the hands of executive office mismanagement in every area from distribution of resources to rotation."

For me, that would have laid this issue to eternal rest; but he simply seemed afraid to say what I know he is thinking. People have said Obama has "gone centrist." His hand is being forced and I hope the Democratic Party and Obama's supporters who pledge no party are smart enough to read between the lines and know that he's saying what he has to say to win. I hope that he will do as promised when he reaches the White House, because Obama is our last hope for straightening this mess out. It's time for the soldiers to come home.

Military experience is the ONLY thing John McCain has going for him and unfortunately, that's not the ONLY topic Americans are dealing with right now. McCain knows nothing about anything else America is dealing with--as indicated in his highly Republican conservative speech last night. They typically are out of touch with anyone who doesn't travel in their million-dollar circles and that fact stuck out like a sore thumb. Obama had him cornered pretty much on everything but military speak...but here's the deal on that.

Every partnership has strengths and weaknesses, and he chose the best running mate to offset his weaknesses. Sorry we will never be able to say the same for John McCain's running mate. History will show that. She is a disaster waiting to happen. McCain can't do much talking about inexperience and "pork barrel" spending when his own running mate is in the exact same position as Obama, only she is less experienced on the national scale.

He tried to use Sarah Palin to "face off" with Obama as a strategy and tactic to bring Obama's youth and lack of experience to the table and it was still a negative strategy. Obama had him nailed 95 good points compared to 5 good points for McCain (if the Brownie-counter is set at 100 points max). I hope that Palin strategy backfires on him come November.

Though they both left much unsaid and unresolved last night, Obama retains his 95 good points because the only thing McCain does seem to know is military and he sounds like a broken record on that. Fresh ideas is not his strong point. However, this war has left a strong and odious distaste in the mouth of most Democrats and many Republicans. I'm certain Biden will offset that negative on Obama's part and counterbalance them as a team working together.

Palin cannot possibly do the same for McCain's weaknesses, as she is nothing more, with her attitude, than Dick Cheney in a skirt. She is a carbon copy of everything that McCain and Bush stand for, with no care for what is going on outside of Alaska; she admitted it herself from Day One. She has been nominated for a job that she wasn't thinking about preparing herself to do. In the meantime, the people of Alaska, with the exception of a few close friends and relatives, don't seem to be too excited about her position as governor, let alone vice president.

Low Blow Obama Team

That McCain ad about him not being able to use a computer was skanky. If I were voting for McCain, it wouldn't matter to me a hill of beans that he can't use a computer or doesn't know how to email. That is not a qualification for being president and it shouldn't be.

Overall, this campaign has been highly negative and based on the wrong things, and that is coming ot of both parties. Can we please get off the tabloid soap operas about pigs, lipstick, who's too old, how beautiful Sarah Palin is compared to Michelle Obama (as if there IS any comparison between the two who are both gorgeous in their own rights), Palin's abstinent-but-knocked-up daughter and her redneck son-in-law-to-be, but her abuse of office charges are valid and should stick as an issue. It says a lot about how she does or does not manage to keep her oath of office and personal affairs separate, as they should be.

This whole campaign is starting to sound like a bitchy PMS-ing slapfest that's just missing the mud and wet t-shirts and I am getting sick of it.

I KNOW we, the nation, have important business coming up: Finance and economy, putting America back on track and fiscally sound, dealing with world affairs and re-establishing our reputation on the international scale, wars and impending wars, sliding scale dollar issues, racism, crime control, poverty, death penalty injustices, medical and healthcare, abortion, family rights, women's issues, escalating costs with no cost of living salary increases, the whole nine. Nobody's got time for this 'yada yada' that has nothing to do with anything that's on the table. Time to grow up children.

We're down to the wire on November 2, and nothing matters now except that Mr. Change and Mr. Country First need to be looking forward to the next four-eight-16-32 years instead of backward. Sorry, but Bush's last-minute attempt to revive his presidential legacy mean absolutely nothing to me.

I look forward to some good and serious debates on Sept. 26 and Oct. 2. Obama and Biden kick BUTT! (And please spare us the rest of the "pointless noise" for the remainder of this campaign year, PLEASE.)

McCain tried to leverage the race and gender cards against Obama's campaign because it was all he had left to deal...meaning he's a loser on all counts. He knew it when he announced Palin as a running mate. It was his last trump and he played it with all his might.

If Obama loses it won't be due to racism, it will be because of white privilege 'in favor of' Sarah Palin, because she is absolutely not qualified to be vice president OR president of the United States by ANY means, so if she is put in office, it will be only to keep Obama out. They put this in the media as a duel between Obama and Palin when it was anything BUT that. The two couldn't even compare, mainly because one was running for president and the other for vice president. McCain, earlier, spoke to Obama's "experience" level and then turned around and put a pure political Zero up front and center to prove his point? Palin is so inexperienced, she ought to vote against herself. McCain himself is more experienced than she, and should have named himself president and vice-president -- the McCain/McCain ticket.

Bottom Line: I can't stay enthusiastic about this lean mean Democratic campaign machine if I have to keep hearing petty crap about people's families and looks and motor skills and computer capabilities. Let's get to the meat of this election, so dessert can be served on November 4.

If we want to talk EXPERIENCE, I'm all for that, because McCain absolutely shot himself in the booty with that one. I don't think them trying so hard to bring Palin "up to speed" in the next 5.5 weeks is going to work out as well as they think.

I want everyone to know that we are still fighting for Troy, you have not heard from me in two days because I have been trying to answer so many calls and get rest in between. I went to see Troy yesterday and he is in good spirits, prayerful and saying we can never give up they can take my physical form but nothing else. But this is not the time to think he will be executed we have to fight them and we have to fight hard.

I want to first tell you that something strange has taken place with the Parole Board, as we went in the Chair Gale Buckner said they had a lot of information to review and a decision would not be made on Friday. The lawyers presented the additional witnesses who told accounts of police detectives threatening them with guns and the DA threatening with perjury if they changed their testimonies against Troy, most of these people were teenagers, one guy who testified was 15 years old at the time and admitted that he ad he friends were the ones involved in a shooting earlier that night and they threw shell casings near the scene that of course did not have Troy's prints on them.

The lawyers showed how they put Troy's picture on wanted posters after Coles pointed the finger at Troy and they took a Polaroid out of my mom's house and they only showed the witnesses that photo to identify Troy several days after he had turned himself in. So Troy was never picked out of lineup. The police detectives merely brought the one picture after his face in newspaper etc and said is this the guy.

We were so very confident when we left the room it was no way Troy's sentence should not have been commuted.

Then less than 30 minutes after DA's side left the Parole Board held a press conference and denied Troy, a reporter said Martina It was like all the air was sucked out of the room no one thought Troy would remain in prison and the Parole Board offered no reason, because they do not have to. The Parole Board in Georgia meets in closed doors, no recorded meetings, no transcripts , no accountability.

When Troy got the first stay they said there would be no executions in Georgia when there is some doubt, well with the two hearings there is more than some doubt their is overwhelming doubt of Troy's innocence so why would they deny him without explanation. I think because three of the members are former prosecutors and two are former police from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, some sort of deal was made against Troy. I think they wanted to flex their muscle because they have no one to answer to.

WE HAVE TO KEEP FLOODING THEM WITH LETTERS AND FAXES TO RECONSIDER BECAUSE THEY CAN STILL STOP THIS EXECUTION. WE HAVE TO HOLD THEM TO THEIR WORD NO ONE WOULD BEEXECUTED WHEN THERE IS DOUBT.

So plan of actions we need done:

1. HOLD ACTIONS, DEMONSTRATIONS WITH MEDIA IN PLACE TO TELL WHAT THE PAROLE BOARD DID AND HOW THEY HAVE NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

2. CONTINUE TO HAVE PEOPLE SIGN LETTERS TO THE PAROLE BOARD THERE WILL BE A NEW LETTER ON AMNESTY SITE ASKING THE BOARD FOR RECONDISERATION. YOU CAN ALSO WRITE YOUR OWN LETTER. STATING REASONING IN 100 YEARS OF GEORGIA'S DEATH PENALTY THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A CASE OF 7 RECANTATIONS, NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, NO WEAPON AND YOU SEEK DEATH.

The story is all over Progressive Talk Radio today about the McCain campaign sending absentee ballot applications to registered democrats or people that have donated to Obama's campaign. These ballots are deliberately misleading and have postage paid return addresses that are for an election clerk that is outside of your city or town. What this will end up doing is either having your vote not counted, or if you return one of these, they will cite you for election fraud, saying that you already voted absentee. These ballots are only being sent out in 'purple states' and this is a big deal... This is called voter caging, and is a huge problem.

The McCain campaign is stealing this election as we speak. Please get this information out to as many people as you can, and tell anyone you know who has received one of these ballots that they need to contact their city election clerk or the supervisor of elections immediately. Also call the local media and let them know what is going on.

The main stream media is never going to cover this so we have to depend on our ground campaign to get the word out to our voters.

Did the thought happen to occur to her that someone else is after her from long before her one month of attacking Obama? According to what I've been reading, she's managed to scrounge up quite a few enemies before Obama even knew her name. This campaign can't keep riding on the strength of what got Obama to this point. We got that message already, and WE AGREE, obviously. That point was made and we're on board.

Now, it's time to turn up the heat -- hard. You're advocating change, then change course and ride McCain's back like the Lone Ranger rides Silver.

He needs to quit riding Palin's skirt tails and come out and fight like the pig he is. And tell him not to forget his lipstick while he's at it. If the lip color fits, he ought to wear it...

Palin is winning a popularity contest right now that has nothing to do with her fitness to head up this nation. It's a winnable election and if someone doesn't come strong and with a quickness, it will all be lost. Michael Moore could be right on this one.

It's time to saddle up and do or die--there's nothing else to lose at this point.

I'd keep it positive, but forget about Palin--she's just an incident waiting to happen. She's lied and stuck her foot in her own mouth and she has just under two months to keep doing just that.

Bring the focus back on McSame, where it belongs and choke the living crap out of his message; and in the meantime, bring some new blood vessels to your own message. It's still a darn good message, it just needs a new focus and perspective, something like that "How many houses do YOU have," thing that knocked McCain on his butt struggling to breathe for at least a week.

Much as I hate to say it (I hate celebs! Nothng personal, they're just too light in the societally functional department for me), even Lindsay Lohan and Pam Anderson have been doing your talking for you.

Hillary, Bill, and Joe, as well as that other cast of characters, ought to slowly and steadily be able to chew Palin (tastes like moose!) and spit her out without even blinking. Obama needs to bring this campaign back into focus -- it's a race between him and McCain for President, not him and Palin. Period. Bring that Wuss McCain out of hiding if his wife will let him back out to play. The man's having a bad case of early onset alzheimer's--time for the kill, ladies and gents.

McCain is even chomping at the Obama campaign message for "change" and regurgitating it in true pig-like poop fashion while telling people to smell and eat. He's beginning to sound like he's Xeroxing Obama's initial messages. There are still some left-over old-school haunches relying on what's left of human indecency to jet-propel them forward based on old fears and national temperaments related directly to race. The Republican Party knows that we have a lot of uneducated and undereducated people still floating around this society who will see nothing more than Obama's heritage and who will use their stereotypical beliefs to guide their decisions.

That's why they keep that "Muslim" stuff on Obama front and center.

They keep attacking him on things and issues that we know are highly race-related just to make sure that that historically frightened and jaded bunch who doesn't do their homework and will subject themselves to the drama instead of making an informed decision STAY afraid. They hope those are the ones who will TILT the scale in their direction. In the meantime, the rest of us are swatting at the rumor mill flies that appear as swooping pre-historic pterodactyls to those who don't know any better. It's the Browning of America, in real time. The raw food is being cooked and seasoned and preparing a place at the table for all once and for all.

Race is perception, and some people's perception is still twisted and off base. I have to admit, to some extent even my own. I was raised in a different generation, one where I'd never have believed this day would come. When I was a child, Dr. King was still alive and I wasn't even old enough to know what was going on around me.

I found out by the time I was 12, and the point was driven home when I was in my early 20s. If someone had said this day would come, I'd have called them a liar. There are others out here who still don't believe and don't believe Obama will ever be "allowed" to preside over this nation. They are highly negative and hoping for the worst, and many of them are black folk. Me myself? I figured it might happen, but not until long after I was dead and gone.

This election has made me feel a sense of wonder and awe at the same time (? and .)

That America still has hope and possibility, and that maybe we can become sophisticated enough to judge a man by his merit and the content of his character. Yet, we're not so far past the "ruling powers" that founded and prospered America based on racism that the process [of fairness when the time is right] can be wholly trusted just yet.

Win or lose, Obama is the measuring stick with which America will prove once and for all that we have overcome the mental atrocities of the past and moved to higher ground. This election is not just political and social and moral and economical, it is also psychological and highly emotional and philosophical implications, and is absolutely one for the books.

Past elections have been all politics and diarrhea of the mouth, this one is involving the heart and soul and substance and matter of all that is and ever will be in the future and it's speaking to all people, not just races and clusters and sectors of people; but to everyone across the board who has to get up in the morning and just make it through another day. We are telling the ruling classes "we count too," and we're not going to sit back and take "sheite" off you any more.

I think our children and grandchildren are counting on us to end it once and for all; and to end it justly and fairly and with no regard as to which race is better than which; but according to which man or woman's character is more morally and ethically stable and sound and who can get the necessary job done.

I'm beginning to inch up to some faith that it is possible now when just four years ago, I didn't think it was or would be. Obama is simply the better candidate; and this time, it has nothing to do with his race, thank God.

In this past administration, the poor are poorer; taxes are higher than they've ever been and rather than spend on the poor that the nation is already screwing with low income slave-wage jobs, high taxes, and substandard housing, education, and food -- more money that the rich don't earn themselves is given to corporate welfare brats who would rather use the tax money paid by the poor and middle class to force them to pick each other off than to help them live and be able to educate and provide for their own families.

The Republicans have had eight years to "cut taxes" and all they've done is raise them higher to kill instead of heal. They scapegoat the poor with all that hype about "welfare queens," while they take the lion's share of money they don't earn.

This kind of behavior comes from humanoids who think they have a grip and a handle on a God who told them "Thous shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt not steal" in the first place. All they DO is kill and steal while calling themselves christians; then expect people to believe whatever they tell them about their beliefs. They drive the world to atheism and then tell them they're going to hell after they stop believing in God.

All I can tell them is: "I am the manifestation of the evil that is inside your own soul."

At the end of the day, this isn't about lowering taxes -- it's about who's going to pay them and what they are used for. In this economy, cutting taxes is mathematically improbable, and even economically unsound. It is next to impossible and they know it. People just know how to finagle the numbers to make it appear they're "helping out" with those fraudulent economic stimulus (i.e., "middle income welfare") rebate checks.

All they're really doing is recycling that money from those who are struggling back to those who are rich--because those who are struggling were already behind on their bills. The "economic booster" goes right back to the rich, because they know it was already spent before the eligible ones got it. It was actually more like a temporary loan that went right back into the pockets of the owners, not a real tax cut.

A tax cut means your taxes get cut and they STAY cut over the long term. The real welfare moochers and deadbeats dine in expensive restaurants, stay in expensive hotels, drive corporate cars, ride in private planes, and write off astronomical perks at taxpayer's expense at 18-25% interest. The poor are barely getting a tenth of a percent of the pot of money we foot the bill for, compared to the billions the rich get to play already poverty-ridden chess pawns against one another.

The high society welfare recipients get a kick out of watching this. Between the fear-mongering, the constant tits and tats about racism, the constant uproar about sexism, and all of the other BS they use with the uneducated masses to keep the scales tilted in their favor, they're having a ball at our expense and they think it's actually friggin' funny, too -- almost like the Duke Brothers on Trading Places, only this is real life.

It will continue to be the game they play with all of us until we get off the merry-go-round and out of the circus and ALL corporately decide we're not playing their games any more. Until we turn the tables on their aszes, it will be the game they will keep playing because the corporate "we" simply don't get the big picture in their "New World Order." The world domination that they tried to stop Hitler from building is the one they're building for themselves and it makes this country every bit as guilty and evil as the Third Reich was at thay time.

It strikes me as odd, though, how people continuously even go so far as to 'blame God' because they treat one another badly--and against His will, at that. They will blame anything and everything except the real culprits: Themselves.

If these people want to see the devil, all they need to do is look in their own mirrors. It will appear and all the confusion will be cleared up for them instantly.

Well, she is a pig--and not because she's a woman who wears lipstick, but because she's as much a liar as McCain, Bush AND Cheney. Rice? Well, Rice is just saying whatever she's told to say--she knows it's all a lie that is coming to light, because she said herself that Obama would make a wonderful president. Colin got out while the gettin' was good--he couldn't deal with the lies any more. Good man.

However, we know that's NOT what Obama was talking about when he referred to pigs and lipstick. He repeated John McCain's own words, which were lodged directly at Hillary Clinton at the time. Obama knew better than to try that out even in jest; he's too smart for that. She just blew it out of context, as she does with everything Obama says, like the Whining Drama Queen that she is.

She has no choice but to misquote Obama, because she doesn't have a clue what else to say about him except that she knows that he is a better candidate than McCain. There's nothing else she can say about Obama - she's outclassed, outnumbered, outdone, out-experienced, and her "media fame" has a ticking clock attached to it that's slowly going to fizzle out in about 45 days.

Sarah Palin is much like Condoleezza Rice--in it for her own political and personal gains while trying to make history. She is not the least little bit concerned with Americans or what this country is going through right now. She claims to be a Patriot, but can't stand Americans who don't look or act or think like her.

She even put down community organizers, to the chagrin of all the community organizers out there whose job it is to carry on executive responsibilities and run well-maintained organizations by working alongside people instead of standing over them barking off orders.

The difference between CO work and "executive" work is that community organizers are REAL leaders who inspire, and show people that who they are and what they do is important to the community at-large, then lead and point them in the right direction and trust them to do the right thing when it comes to their own futures.

Sole executive types with no leadership skills, on the other hand, are just lazy people who look down their snouts [literally], and tell everyone else what to do. They think their subordinates are beneath them and subject to their every whim and whine. The leadership roles, other than that, [a team leader vs. an authoritarian dictator] are exactly the same and carry the same weight of responsibility.

Palin is so functionally and fundamentally under-educated that she doesn't know that community organizers ARE executives AND leaders in their field. But this is coming from a woman who's running for vice-president who also doesn't know what a vice-president does, let alone a community organizer--which says a LOT about where her head is. Stuck up in a pig's asz, apparently.

If he were, he'd know what everyone else already does, and he'd be clued in to the fact that everyone knows he's lying and that he is making a butt of himself. McCain is hiding under the old rules of 'smile' and 'deceive' and 'use people's ignorance against them' -- that old tactic from back when people were mainly illiterate, ill-informed, and would go for the drama BS rather than investigating for themselves what the real truth is and using the facts at hand.

That method is no longer working for McCain, and he is so computer-illiterate that he doesn't even know it's not working. He keeps lying and people keep checking him and finding out he's lying.

Obama wasn't calling McCain a computer-illiterate idiot because he can't use the keys or a mouse or even hook up a YouTube video--only a real ignoramus would think that. He was saying that McCain doesn't realize--because he is not 'internet savvy'-that everything he's saying is being researched, clocked, investigated, and fact-checked by average everyday Joe Blow laymen who now KNOW he's lying about everything he says.

No one has to guess any more whether or not he's lying, it's all over the World Wide Web for the Whole Wide World to see. If McCain knew that, either he would stop lying, or at least try to explain his lies to himself and the people he keeps telling them to.

Facts about John McCain:

1) Rode his Mama's skirt tails through adulthood

2) Whined to his "daddies" when he got in trouble in 'Nam -- trouble he made for himself

3) Rode his first wife's skirt tails, until she was in a car accident, then he traded in the old model for a new one and called her a derogatory word for women...

4) Rode his second wife's skirt tails with money he never earned, but that she supported him with off money she never earned but inherited from her daddy. In the 'hood, they call that Mother's Day, which happens every time a woman gets some money in her pocket, mostly on the first of the month. The baby daddy shows up, broke busted and disgusted, on the first of every month (she never sees him any other time.) He then proceeds to take her food stamps and anything else she'll give him because he has nothing of his own and would never make it without her help.

Without Cindy's money, McCain couldn't have afforded to adopt Bridget from Indonesia -- whom, by the way, sits "squashed" down to the bottom of the barrel on the cover of New York magazine. They made sure they "lowered" her and put her at the very lowest left end of the cover photo-subordinated to the rest of the McCain's when she should have been front and center IF he wanted to portray himself as the generous soul he claims to be.

5) Now, McCain rides again: Sarah Palin's skirt tails...the same way he has done with every woman who has come into his life.

Sarah keeps talking about Obama's experience and says nothing about Joe Biden, who is her actual opponent in this election. McCain has hedged a bet that white woman beats black man -- without a care for this nation's future. He went with the race/gender emotional ticket rather than the "I really care about America" ticket--or he would have found someone who could have tackled Joe Biden without a problem.

Sarah Palin can't beat Joe Biden, that's why she keeps talking about Barack Obama and won't mention Biden. They want to keep that "white woman versus black man" color pallet on the table--especially since they are hedging a bet that most Americans will vote on emotional ignorance and drama rather than informed intelligence and intellectualism--and they're probably right about that one.

Bottom Line: McCain has done nothing all of his life except hide behind every woman who has come into his life -- and he is still doing it now, being the coward that he is. Ask his 'buddies' in Vietnam about Songbird McCain...
John McCain is a "p-whipped wimp and a rich pimp daddy" who doesn't have enough manhood in him to stand up to Obama and run his own race without cowering behind Palin's pantsuits.

In the unretouched raw photo found by the Swede, John McCain looks muscular, fine, and has a serious smile on his face, like he'd just come off vacation. So what's with the haggard skinny-looking photos of him looking ill? Photoshopped, apparently. When you look at the untouched photo of McCain boarding that flight back to the US, he looks very well and very well-fed.

And since they won't release his military records (and will probably doctor them if they do release them), I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they have something to hide; like the fact that he probably wasn't in Vietnam "thanks to his dad and granddad" more than six months, maybe 18 months tops. Possibly two years--but I doubt that he was even there for 5 1/2 years. If he wants people to believe him, he needs to order those records released and ask that they do not redact ANYTHING or cut out any parts, or as far as I'm concerned, he's just another Tricky Dicky Nixon and it's a new day called "Hanoigate."

Point 2: Wrong again. McCain can't even claim PTSD or being "shell-shocked" for those mental malfunctions of his. He never saw the light of day or dark of night of combat battle over there.
That's the lie he wanted everyone to believe so he could ride "war hero" for the rest of his life. There were indeed war heroes, but he wasn't one of them.

McCain injured himself ditching the plane like that -- probably hit a rock on the bottom of the lake is how his leg got injured. And, according to his penned up buddies, he actually didn't pull his arms in when he ditched, which caused his arms to break -- his leg, I'm almost certain, hit something hard when he hit the water. Those people who rescued him turned him over to the military, but they never touched him themselves. I don't have any reason to believe a word of that lie from all the stories I'm reading from his buddies who were over there with him. And if I'm reading the current mood right, nobody cares about his so-called "heroism" anyway. Some of those people in 'Nam didn't come back alive--and both of my uncles fought in that war in the Army and Air Force, so don't dare tell ME what I can and can't talk about.

McCain should consider himself blessed to have returned and lived so long and shut the h377 up about that "hero" lie.

Point 3: Why is McCain's REAL military history sealed? Seems like common sense would kick in gear right now and tell us something's amiss -- like he can't back up that story with the facts. What made him "Songbird McCain"? Good old American fear and scare tactics--they had filled up his head with so many lies about the Viet Cong that his own darkened mind caused him to "tell them everything they wanted to know" BEFORE they even asked - LOL!!!

In his OWN book, "Faith of My Fathers" (which should be renamed "Lies of My Fathers' Faith") he even thanked his admiral paternals for "getting him out of there" when everyone else had to stay. Quit fooling around. John McCain was no war hero.

John McCain "can't sufficiently remember" all the details of his capture and imprisonment, which I attribute that to the fact that it was a long time ago and memories are short when it comes to ancient artifacts.

However, a picture/photo of him from 1973 in Hanoi surfaces and he is looking more healthy and well-fed than any other POW would have been. In his own book, he said that he got a "get out of jail free pass" from the Vietnamese because of his admiral dad and granddad. His own POW buddies who were in Vietnam with him say his "heroism" was a stunt fabricated by the US military to promote the lie that the Vietnam war had merit just like they're doing with this one in Iraq.

I've seen the pictures, I've read his story.

It appears to me that the man McCain was an iron-clad bona fide klutz who injured himself, more than likely from running into trees in Vietnam forests, or running scared (through American fear-drama, of course) from people who had no intention of harming him. In his so-called "capture" moment (really a "rescue moment") photo when he was fished from that lake in Hanoi, who the hell just happened to be there with a camera?

Other soldiers whose planes were shot down or who had to abandon their planes in mid-flight have nothing but the aftermath to remember it by, and most of those who fell from 12,000-15,000 feet with parachutes that almost didn't deploy correctly were likely dead on impact, or deceased while falling through the sky. The whole story sounds like it was fabricated for a Hollywood movie set -- the whole "john wayne effect."

Anyway, whatever the case with the posed photo, you got these apparently very Asian-looking guys who were not wearing soldier gear of any kind, nor is there any soldier gear nearby the swimming hole, who were apparently in this lake in a swimhole playing around when McCain "fell out of the sky" in broad daylight. You never see his face, just the top of his head, like the whole thing was posed for the picture taker. The guys surrounding him are smiling for the camera, as if they were told to look up and say "cheese."

And they are stripped down to their skivvies--not floating through the water in soldier gear with bayonets in hand, but with rubber balls and inner tubes that they were playing with. Did they have time to strip down that far when a "man suddenly appeared from out of the sky and ditched in their lake."

It would seem that McCain either would have been dead on impact, or would have drowned before they could undress that far and get in there to fish him out, especially since he was weighted down with all that American military "stuff" all over him. You mean, he didn't even so much as lose consciousness on his way down from that far up in the sky, as he was falling without an oxygen tank, a breathing monitor, nothing?

So, anyhoo, they haul this American off to a hospital to be tended to, because he apparently hurt himself pretty bad, and he gets there and they find out, well...well...well...who do we have here? The admiral's son, (which to them, meant "king")

So they make a few calls and get ahold of McCain's big-time paternals and agree to hold him in a comfortable place. Keep in mind, we're still talking about someone who was already well-known to be a klutz throughout his military career, a publicity hound with big-time paternal links, who crashed and burned military planes worth millions of dollars, a few of them before they even managed to make it off the ground IN AMERICA, not even while fighting in 'Nam.

The POWs who call McCain a liar contend that McCain sold "secrets" to the "enemy," in exchange for good treatment. However, I contend that McCain's fathers and those Vietnamese generals were all just very good friends and they set McCain aside for that very reason. McCain was all too willing to kiss and hug up on [in open view of an entire Congress] his prison camp "lead torturer" who supposedly beat him and ordered him to be beaten and tortured, which tells me that his story about being treated badly over there doesn't bear a lot of serious weight.

You don't just forgive someone that easily, especially after you've told this horrendous story to the whole world about how horribly you were treated by them and how they are responsible for your tortured over-medicated soul and your terrible limp and curled hand and fist.

Then, there's this other shot of John McCain...posing in a bed trying SO hard to look like he's in pain, but with no bandages on or anything that looks like someone needed to patch him up from his injuries--and while supposedly being examined by a Vietnamese guy holding a clipboard; and yet another photo, circulated also by McCain himself, where he is being fed tea and cookies by the Asian generals, which lends just a little credence to the possibility that he did give away military secrets to the Viet Cong tabloid fodder.

They haven't proven conclusively that he sold military secrets to the so-called "enemy," but those photos of him in Vietnam are proof enough that he was certainly no war hero, and nothing else needs to be said. Pictures paint a thousand words, so no one has to make a single blinging sound about what they do or don't remember "over there." Snapshots are their own evidence, and that is definitely his smiling, untortured soul and well-rested looking younger face in the Swede's photos, which he says can easily be authenticized as released soldiers headed home from 'Nam.

Looks like the Vietnamese, as well as the Iraqis, aren't as "dark, dirty, or evil" as America tries to make them out to be...

The one thing I've discovered about Swedes and other non-Americans is that they have no stake in any of this American political crap that would cause them to be that desperate to tell a lie. My news majorly comes from countries that are bound to see it all with both eyes wide open (Al Jazeera, South Africa, even the BBC to some extent), and where they are not bought and paid for by Republicans with an agenda to control the world.
I like reading news written by real human beings, not by self-serving overly-dramatic Americanoids whose only care in life is themselves and their money.

The "Swede" speaks the truth. It remains to be seen where this going to go before it's all over. And knowing American ignoramuses who are too terrified of a black man to admit that he's the best choice of the candidates out there, probably nowhere.

There will be nutcases with piles of evidence before them that John McCain has been riding his "war hero" story without credence or substance for years and will still vote for him, though it is proof of the kind of lying-asz antics he will continue to pull off in office. And they will continue to suffer in McCain's hands and swear he has nothing to do with it the whole time, just as they are doing with Bush now.

The ignorance that made Dubya Bush president for eight years is the same kind of ignorance that McCain is counting on to win. This isn't a fight between Republicans and Democrats, it is a fight between those with common sense and those without it who will insist on standing by the Status Quip no matter what it will cost this nation in the end. It is that same kind of ignorance that is going to be death of a country that some claim to love so much--people who say they love America, but who clearly can't stand Americans.

Foreign nationals want to talk to Obama; not McCain, or Bush, or anyone like them. They don't want to hear anything anyone ELSE in this country has to say, period; and I can't say I blame them for that.

I live here and I don't want to hear any more of those lies or falsehoods, either. The only people who are listening to Bush and his cronies are Arab sheiks, and we ALL know why that is. (And even some of THEM say that Bush is a fool and that America gets exactly what it deserves).

I don't know about the rest of you, but we can't afford to take those kinds of people for granted, as the rest of the world will definitely follow the chicken feed and bread crumb trails they leave behind.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Swedish broadcaster SVT on Thursday released a previously unseen film clip purportedly showing the release of presidential candidate John McCain to the U.S. military in Hanoi in 1973.

A former SVT reporter, Erik Eriksson, said he found the video in the network's archives when he was looking for footage for a book he was writing about his experiences as a war correspondent in Vietnam.

SVT posted the edited 39-second clip on its Web site on Thursday. It shows McCain stepping off a bus with other prisoners. He has a pronounced limp but is not using crutches.

It then shows McCain standing in a lineup when his name is called. He walks up to salute and shake hands with U.S. military officers. The last part of the clip shows a U.S. Air Force jet taxiing on a runway.

Eriksson said the footage was filmed in Hanoi on March 14, 1973, by a Vietnamese photographer whom he had contracted to film the release of U.S. prisoners.

"I don't know if there is another film from his release. I haven't seen all the films in the world, but as far as I know there are no others," Eriksson told The Associated Press.

Tina Wolter, an archive sales executive at SVT, said it was not possible to determine the exact date of the McCain sequence. However, she said other clips from the same material were used in a TV news report on March 24, 1973. Those clips showed other U.S. prisoners being released, but not McCain.

Eriksson said the clip was included on a DVD that he released with his book.

"This summer when I was preparing the release of my book we were putting together a DVD with some of my reports from Vietnam and then I thought, 'I wonder if we have McCain here?'" Eriksson said.

Per Yng, head of SVT's national news, confirmed that Eriksson found the film in the network's archives.

"It's our material. So we can confirm its authenticity," Yng said. He could not confirm the date and location of the film, but he said he had no reason to doubt Eriksson's information.

Eriksson said he was covering the Vietnam war for SVT as well as U.S. networks CBS and NBC.

Eriksson could not recall the name of the Vietnamese cameraman and said he had not been in contact with him after finding the clip.
