Ray McGovern's Response to Obama

I have asked for all donations back and am quitting the campaign. This FISA mess is revealing that Obama is willing to sell our rights down the river and lie about it, and he hasn't even been to the convention yet.

I happened across veteran CIA analyst Ray McGovern's blog today, which should be required reading for staffers and volunteers:

Obama's position on the FISA bill and telecom immunity

I am more encouraged by Obama than any other politician I can remember, but it is because of his integrity, his honesty and his principles. With that in mind, I'm troubled with Obama's recent backtracking on his previous position on telecom immunity as part of a FISA amendment bill, recently passed in the House by many democrats who had previously stood on principle and said they would fight it. Why did their positions change? It looks like it has to do with money and old politics.

Attending Obama Policy Discussion Group in Santa Fe

I'm heading down to Santa Fe to attend the discussion group about Obama's Blueprint. If anyone's interested, I'll be leaving the Taos area about 5pm on Monday, June 9 - unfortunately, carpooling may not be an option for me, as I'm on call for work, but it would be great to meet other Obama supporters and start working on campaigning. I'm just getting started in the campaign and would love to see more events like this in Taos. Is anyone else interested in local Taos area meetings?
