If the Obama Campaign wants to win with a MANDATE, it will need to win all or close to all of the "TOSS-UP" states in order to PUSH for a MOVEMENT OF CHANGE after Barack Obama is elected President on Tuesday.

Let me state clearly that I am in no way affiliated with this website nor do I profit from it in any way. I am just a fan of the interesting data and analysis the site has to offer for political junkies like myself. Interestingly enough this website's creator has been considered to be the best poll predictor of caucuses and primaries during the Obama and Clinton's historic race for the nomination--he even predicted the Indiana close vote to the exact percentage point outcome.

Anyway, I think the Obama Campaign should really take Nate Silver's advice. It's quick. Simple. And to the point.

Over the past week, Senator McCain was supposed to "roll out" a new campaign that was streamlined with new leadership.

Instead of running a more efficient campaign and message, Senator McCain made gaffe after gaffe and the Obama campaign has not responded at all. Senator McCain has dug himself a big hole and even the media barely covered it.

Senator McCain's Co-Chairman, former Senator Phil Gramm (S.C.), said "....Americans aren't really feeling a recession, they're just living in a state of a 'mental recession'..."

Senator McCain also made gaffes about: killing Iranians with cigarettes, he claimed to have high approval records with veterans groups that he did not factually have, he found himself in contrast with Carly Fiorina who said that Senator McCain thinks that birth control should be covered under health insurance plans just like Viagra is covered under most plans but when asked about her statement Senator McCain said he did not know enough about the issue to comment on it, AND, he said that the way Social Security pays its beneficiaries is "a disgrace."

Boy oh boy! I tell ya, the McCain campaign inflicted a lot of wounds on itself this week and has been lucky the media and the Obama campaign have barely covered and responded to it. Those gaffes are monumental blunders and if the Obama campaign is smart they will use them as firing power in the weeks to come.

RESPONSE: Why can't the Obama campaign reinforce the "McSAME" idea with a response ad? With McCain hiring a Bush Hack, the up-tick of "Flip-Flopping" being charged is starting to simmer in the media again....the same thing the same Bush Hack did to Kerry in '04.

Obama has responded forcefully, but then the media plays up McCain's statement that Obama's word "can't be trusted."

It is time to Nip this growing story in the Bud!

This cannot be a repeat of '04.

If McCain says Obama's word "can't be trusted," Obama needs to respond to McCain's charge to put him on the defensive.

McCain once opposed Bush's tax cuts, he once opposed offshore drilling and now he supports them. He once supported comprehensive immigration and now he opposes it. He said he is not very strong on economic issues but now he denies he ever said it. He supports continuing Bush's failed economic policies. He wants to remain in Iraq for decades to come.

There has been some speculation that Senator Obama may decide to accept Public Financing for his campaign if he can come to an agreement with Senator McCain.

I URGE Senator Obama NOT to do this because of a potential "OCTOBER SURPRISE" that could derail his campaign if he plays by Senator McCain's Public Financing Game.

Here's the quick and obvious reason why Senator Obama SHOULD NOT accept Public Financing:

When the South Carolina Republican Party ran a NEGATIVE AD AGAINST Senator Obama, Senator McCain publicly stated that he did not support the attack ad but it ran anyways. In 2004, Senator McCain said he disapproved of the 527 "Swift Boaters" who derailed Senator Kerry's campaign but the attacks ran anyways.

So just imagine it is October and "all of a sudden" an "OCTOBER SURPRISE" comes up against and attacking Senator Obama with some kind of smear campaign similar to the Reverend Wright issue. Just imagine what the Republicans will do; do you think they won't try to do anything they can to derail Senator Obama??? Of course they will, unfortunately.

Senator McCain will publicly state that he does not support the "OCTOBER SURPRISE" being waged against Senator Obama but the attack will run anyway. Senator McCain will try to appear like he is trying to be a "maverick" by denouncing negative campaigning but it will continue anyway because he knows it will help his campaign. He demonstrated this with the North Carolina Republican Party incident as well as showing his hand with his Hamas comments more recently....utterly disgusting!

This is the exact reason why Senator Obama SHOULD NOT accept Public Financing. He will need to be able to come to us and ask us to help continue financing the defacto public financing campaign we have helped him create with our $109 avg. donations from more than 1.5 million people to be able to respond to the "OCTOBER SURPRISE" immediately and effectively.

If this doesn't happen, it will leave one hand tied behind Senator Obama's back by forcing him to rely on the Pro-Obama 527s to fight back against the anti-Obama 527s which will create more of a mess and increase the attacks and smears perpetuated by the national and cable media outlets. The media will play up the "OCTOBER SURPRISE" every day, 24/7, and it will negatively affect the Obama Campaign.

If Senator Obama does NOT restrict his funding, it will allow him to flood the national and cable media outlets with advertisements, messages, and responses to the "OCTOBER SURPRISE" in a very effective manner by diluting its attacks and smears while allowing him to control the conversation which will allow him to use the "OCTOBER SURPRISE" as a perfect example why he is running for President and how he wants to change Washington politics and bring REAL CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

We have created our own public financing system denying lobbyists and PACs the ability to control this campaign. We should continue to urge Senator Obama to use us all the way through Election Day.

With 8 days to go until the Pennsylvania primary, why isn't Senator Obama back in the state with another BUS TOUR?

Taking his IOWA STRATEGY to Pennsylvania has helped him close the gap in the polls. I think if he is willing to push for a 10 DAY BUS TOUR leading up to the primary, he will be able to win the contest.

Barack Obama's RESPONSE to attacks by Senator Clinton and Senator McCain in Indiana yesterday was GREAT!!!

Can we see this kind of response in advertisements in the remaining states? How about Pennsylvania, too?

It shows that he is smart and tough to a lot of voters who are "undecided" and those who don't know him as much as the other remaining candidates in this race for the White House.
