I'm wondering what other christian bloggers opinions are about Obama's recent comment in Turkey about the USA not being a christian nation? I think he's right in some ways that it's not defined by religion like some countries are, but christianity still permeates(sp?) the country very deeply. It may not officially be anything and that's fine, but it's an interesting idea to bring up. I know of many people who WOULD say the US is a Christian nation. I wrote another blog post about this and Obama's Christian t-shirts on my main website, but I'd like to know here what people's opinions are about this. It's something that' affects us all more than some of us might want to believe.

Obama St. Patricks Day t-shirts, Updates, and Nobody Messing With Joe

It's been quite a while since I updated this blog, but felt like enough has happened recently that an update is due. I've been busy following all the recent events with the economy and of course I watch Obama's speeches when they happen. This past one inspired me to not only create some stuff around the whole "nobody messes with Joe" slogan, but also made me start a new blog devoted to all the products that end up being created when events like that happen.

My most recent blog is about another seemingly popular topic that comes around this time of year. I remember last year, Irish Obama stuff was all over the place during St. Patrick's Day. I don't see things slowing down in regards to this love of both green beer and Obama, so I wrote an article on Barack Obama's St. patrick's Day t-shirts. It's interesting that on the site I use for all my designs, "Obama Irish t-shirts" are the very first thing you see on their St Patricks Day t-shirts page. He's got to be poplular if he's getting that much attention. It makes me with I had designed some shamrock'ed out designs myself. Maybe next year :/

In other news, I think Obama's first 4 days of being in office were sensational. There were so many reversals of Bush's laws that happened in such a short period of time that it was amazing to witness. The fact that he jumped in and changed things right off the bat makes me think more and more that he's got an idea of the direction he wants to take things toward. I think Bush not only lacked direction, but with what direction he had, he was poorly misguided.

Obama's Change.gov is also another major shift in the way of government. There's something truly beneficial to having all the expenses of government in the close scrutiny of the eyes of its citizens. My only hope is that not only do they keep the information public, but that they also make a way to comment and/or submit feedback on various expenses. I have a feeling the large US population will be able to spot waste more efficiently than a handful of people in the whitehouse.

I'm going to try to update this more often as I get the time, but until then, I wish everyone who reads this the best in these crazy times.

I had quite a bit of fun during this past election process making t-shirt designs. Designers everywhere were inspired by Obama and there weren't any shortages of designs out there to show your support with. I was half tempted to buy one of the official limited edition shirts by Pharrell Williams that I saw on this site a while back. Anyways, I wanted to share my favorite t-shirt designs inspired by Barack Obama. It's a short list of shirts but they're all top notch designs.

That's right. I don't think Obama could have made a better choice for his running mate and to help him through his presidency. With that being said, not just is Joe Biden my Homeboy, but he's my homeboy's homeboy!

I spent a good chunk of this weekend testing out one of those programs that google created that you probably don't realize exists. I wanted to design something in 3d, so what better of a choice than the man himself.. Barack Obama! It's not extremely detailed, but was a fun little project.

It’s a little under 400 polygons. The next step is a full body version which I’ll create when I get some time. Sketchup’s texturing abilities are great for flatter objects, but I’ve still got a bit to learn about how to apply it to organically shaped objects without seams. Each polygon’s texture on this model was painstakingly aligned by hand. In newer versions, I hope to make it seamless with several larger textures instead.

Do what you're good at... to get Barack Obama Elected

I know alot of people that either aren't willing or able to make any contribution to the presidential candidate they will vote for. I think this is a poor way of thinking. I'm not the best speech giver, but I'll photoshop some amazing banners or designs that are needed just as much by the campaign as are the door to door knocking individuals. Helping out can be as simple as writing once a week in
a blog about Barack Obama, and then emailing it to some people you know. I believe that in the world we live in, the more that is said about Obama, the more people will pay more attention to who and what he represents, and in return, the more people will see how much we can truly do to fix this country.

A perfect example of someone doing what they're good at for the cause was in Will.I.Am's Barack Obama YES WE CAN video that has been making its course around the tubes recently. Here was a signer who did something that more than likely motivated thousands of people to do more than what they previously were doing.

For my own contribution to the campaign, you can see the Barack Obama grassroots website I've blogged about, and all the effort is starting to work. Thousands of young voters are placing the image of Obama into their myspaces, and in return, are getting tens of thousands of eyes on him that might not have even considered him if I as an artist create an image that people love to share.

Writers, artists, musicians, people with and without money... everyone can help.

EVERY City and State for Barack Obama!!

It's been a crazy month for me. I've spent countless all nighters trying to improve my grassroots Barack Obama website that I hope will make a difference in the younger voters out there. There are still a few glitches to fix, but for the most part, the new site is online and ready to help promote Obama as best as it can.

Probably the biggest difference is that there is now a page for every US city and state where people can leave comments and quickly interact. I chose the simple comment system because I know that many younger voters won't take the time to sign up for Barackobama.com but still want their voices to be heard, so this is their chance to be heard.

The most time consuming part of the whole website redesign was the creation and upload of over 30,000 images people can get on t-shirts. Like I mentioned earlier, there are a few problems with a few cities and states, but basically, EVERY CITY has its own Barack Obama t-shirt.

Let me say that again... EVERY US CITY has it's own t-shirt design!

I'm an artist and web designer, and this is how I'm supporting Obama. It doesn't matter what you're good at.. there's definitely something you can do to help him get noticed.

This is a great idea... a site featuring fan generated top 10 Barack Obama t shirts. The official shirts are nice, but I don't personally feel they show the unique qualities of each person who wears them, so naturally, supporters have been creating their own to do just that. I can't wait to see what all designs develop in the next year and a half.

An easy Grassroots way to promote Barack Obama

Politics isn't the easiest subject to bring up in the office, school, or when just hangin out. When you wear any Barack Obama T-shirt, you basically have an open microphone to talk about all sorts of issues with ease. Just be ready to explain why you're wearing Barack Obama t-shirts because people WILL ask. Just imagine the influential effects nationally if 10-20 people at your work/school wore an Obama shirt once a month.

So, go create your own, or get one of the hundreds of designs already out there, and help get the best candidate elected!
