"This sounds like a dream, doesn't it? Well, it's not. We have a unique opportunity right now to send Karl Rove to jail, but only if we take immediate action.

All we have to do is pressure the 40 members of the House Judiciary Committee, make them hold Rove in contempt and send him to jail. We've never had such a direct opportunity to hold Rove accountable. No, this is not enough punishment for his years and years of crimes, but it's a huge start, and will send a very clear message to the entire Bush administration.

I've been thinking a lot about the way the media is painting our country racist. What does that say about the lengths they will go to forward their agenda? They, along with Hillary and McCain are making our country look even more pathetic and backwards to the rest of the world than it already does by insisting repeatedly that white voters will not support a black man for President. How do they explain Idaho, Vermont, Maine, Iowa, etc., etc.?!?!?

We can't let the media ruin our standing in the world; it is damaged enough. I am so sick of the poisonous spin, I had to vent!

My sister called me today to tell me that she just got a phone call from her daughter's nursery school teacher. Evidently, her little girl is in trouble for convincing everyone in her class that Obama is our only chance to save the country. I guess they're not encouraged to talk politics and get other kids riled up, but I sure was proud of her. Maybe it's because her aunt and uncle bought her ice cream when Obama won South Carolina (we were babysitting and couldn't help it), but I think she also just likes him because children can sense when someone's good. She told her mom, "But you don't understand. He's REAL; I've seen him!"

Please register to vote and take some time to research Barack Obama. ____________ and I have researched and listened to all of the candidates. Obama is the only main contender who has accepted NO money from corporations and lobbyists (the entities who currently own our government and undermine the interest of the voters). He is strong and clear on every issue that is affecting the balance of our world today -- energy independence and the environment, war, health care, education, corporate taxes, and diplomatic foreign policy. It is not too late to register to vote now, but it will be soon, and (your state) could be a very tight race. Your votes count, and so do all of your friends' votes. Get them involved, and spread the word of hope and change that we so desperately need as citizens of a declining country. Everything you and I have spoken about that's wrong with the world will be affected by this election. Don't let another Washington lobbyist-owned candidate make it to office, or we'll have at least four more years of environmental destruction, a broken economy, and a chaotic warring world. Please do it for __________; we desperately want to see him grow up in a world that is at least as good as ours was as children. The United States is the largest world superpower; do not underestimate the consequences of this election, and be thankful we have one viable candidate who can make a difference and who has proven himself several times over to be a person of integrity.
