We started the “Artists for Obama” gallery several months ago with nationally acclaimed artist Shepard Fairey. When he created our first image, called "Change," Shep wrote:

New Limited Edition Rafeal Lopez Print: Voz Unida

Acclaimed Latino artist, Rafael Lopez has added a special limited edition print to our “Artists for Obama” gallery. Lopez, from San Diego, has designed several pieces for the United States Postal Service, including the Mendez vs. Westminster stamp in 2007. He writes:

"Barack Obama is a genuine voice for the issues we face in America and the world. His vision and leadership has energized Americans and people around the globe to demand real change. 'Voz Unida' in Spanish translates to 'united voice.' I know we can make the world better by working together and listening to one another. Chris Walla: Little Conversations

With only a few critical days left in this historic campaign, we need everyone to get out and talk to undecided voters. It's the most important thing any of us can do in these final days. Recently Chris Walla (from the band Death Cab for Cutie) took time away from his current tour to volunteer for the campaign in Wisconsin:

Chris had been finding a few hours to help out, stopping by campaign offices on his days off. Chris told us:

Volunteering couldn't be much easier, and it's been lots of fun. I was a little nervous right at first, but I figured out pretty quickly that the people I've been calling and whose doors I've been knocking on are just as concerned for our country as I am, and as Barack Obama and Joe Biden are. People all over this nation are ready for a change, and sincere, little conversations with our neighbors go a long, long way toward getting Barack into the White House.

Introducing the Obama 08 iPhone App

With only 33 days left, it's more important than ever to call your friends and family to make sure they are registered and voting for Barack. We are excited to announce another way to help you organize your personal contacts and ask them to "get out and vote."

Today, we are launching an official iPhone Application, a free download for iPhone and iPod Touch users. This tool is designed to help you become more directly involved in our campaign to change our country.

The application has a "Call Your Friends" tool that helps you organize your contacts by key battleground states -- a feature we're hoping will generate thousands of additional personal contacts. You can also easily mark reminder notes to yourself on which friends you have called, who they are supporting and who wants a reminder call on Election Day. The information does not leave your phone (so your friends' and your own privacy are protected) but the total amount of calls the application makes are tallied, so you can keep track of your progress as we close in on November 4th.

The Obama 08 application also includes a tool to make it easy to find your local campaign office. Using your phone's current location, you can easily find a field office anywhere in the country (and even find directions to it using the mapping function).

Earlier today we launched the Obama mobile website, making it even easier for people who access Obama news on the go through their mobile phone Internet browser.

Artists For Obama: Scott Hansen Limited Edition

Scott Hansen has generously donated his design talents to create this piece titled "Progress." Hansen is a California-based musician (Tycho) and artist (ISO50). He is well known for blending retro textures and styles with a modern design ethic.

Hansen expressed, "I see Barack Obama as a leader who can inspire people to effect change and who himself can effect change. As an artist, it was only natural for me to want to create something that visually echoed these sentiments. I wanted to create an image that evoked the ideals I feel are central to our needs at this critical time in history: change, progress and hope. Grassroots Voter Registration Event in Easton, PA

Local artists are coming together to register voters before the March 24th Pennsylvania voter registration deadline. A pretty unique grassroots event is happening tomorrow in Easton, PA that is offering voter registration along with great music by Esme, Mahoney's View and Plan A Project. Barack Discusses the War with Iraq Veterans on MTV Tonight

Watch Senator Obama discuss the Iraq war with eight young veterans that have recently come back from serving in Iraq.

This conversation airs tonight at 6pm ET/PT on MTV and will be streamed at chooseorlose.com starting at 7pm ET.

Check out this video of Barack meeting Damian Kulash and Tim Nordwind of OK GO. They were extremely excited to meet with Barack at his rally in Laramie, WY. Damian & Tim remind everyone in Pennsylvania to register Democrat by March 24th in order to vote for Barack in the April 22nd Democratic Primary. Obama Social Network Update

A busy week on all of our growing social networks! Our Wisconsin MySpace friends were active this week getting out the vote...

"Sherbert" in Kenosha, WI writes, "[I] made phone calls for several hours last night and again today as my husband hit the neighborhoods despite the single digit chill. We're working hard for Obama in Wisconsin!"

And the Texas Democratic Party/CNN Debate was the major discussion point on all our social networks this week, including our text message community...

Natasha from Florida wrote in on BlackPlanet, "I watched the Democratic debate tonight and kudos to Sen. Obama!! This debate just stamped the leadership he's displayed and maintained throughout his campaign."

And someone wrote in on the comment section of one our Youtube videos from last night. "Barack is a beacon of inspiration and the catalyst to unite the United States of America. Yesterday in the debates, he practiced what he has been preaching by respecting his opponent."

Washington State: MySpace Delegates for Obama

Over a dozen of Barack Obama's MySpace friends in Washington were elected as delegates for Barack today. Here are some of their comments they just sent us:

Sean wrote us, "I caucused for you in Bellevue today...I stepped in the door and your supporters handed me buttons and cookies! I was voting for you anyway, but it was still cool to see such excellent grassroots organization... That's some serious hope right there."

Kristin wrote, "Precinct 1719 (Queen Anne) went 7 for Obama, 2 for Clinton. The total count for precincts in my room was 30 delegates for Obama, 8 for Clinton. So excited! Was elected to be a delegate for my precinct, and my brother was elected to be a delegate for his precinct down south. Washington for Obama! Yes, we can!"

Zazzoo for Obama in Seattle wrote us "in my personal precinct Obama:110, Clinton:2, Undecided: none. We sent a powerful message here in university country! I am also proud to be a delegate for Obama!"

Lilian in Yakima writes, "I went to the caucus and am now a proud delegate for Barack Obama!"

Brenda in Bremerton writes, "I was elected to be a delegate at the Kitsap County Caucus in April! Yes we can!"

Delegate Benjamin in Seattle, "I caucused and I was elected as a delegate for Barack Obama! I'm fired up and ready to go."

"The Girl" wrote us, "My precinct: 28 Obama, 21 Clinton, 3 undecided. I am also a proud Obama delegate. The Washington Democrats website is reporting results in WA for Obama at 66.7% with 7698 delegates, and Clinton with 31.9% and 3685 deligates. Looks like we did it!"

Artists and musicians all over the country are coming together to show their growing support for the excitement and possibilities of an Obama presidency. Please listen to the latest tune that is making its way around the Internet from Seattle's Stone Gossard, Matt Cameron, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, Barrett Jones and Boom Gasper. Based on the classic tune "Rock Around The Clock", the song is entitled "Rock Around Barack".

Here's what Stone has to say about the recording:

"This is a track I've been thinking about for a while. Rock Around The Clock was the first mainstream rock and roll hit in 1955 and it had a transforming effect on American music. At that time, rock and rhythm and blues music was traditionally only played on black radio. I am, by no means, an expert on the history of rock & roll, but this was a big deal. The rhythm of rock music and its energy were so overwhelming that traditional barriers of race and culture broke down with an enormous crash. So here's to new energy, rock and the breaking down of cultural barriers: Barack Around The Clock!"

The 'Fired Up, Ready To Go' Song

Local musicians in Seattle created this inspirational song. Please watch and you will be singing along by the end!

Here is what they wrote about it:

Joe Bergevin watched Senator Barack Obama tell a story about one person, Edith Childs, who energized others with a "fired up, ready to go," chant at one of his campaign stops. Inspired by Obama's "One voice can change the world" speech, Joe wrote some lyrics and rough chords then called his brother Jon to help him compose and arrange the song. They named it after Edith's chant. After many phone calls, emails, and sleepless nights, they had assembled the team. Ten days later an epic recording was born with the intention of spreading Obama's hopeful message. Contributors include lead singer Reverend Pat Wright and her renowned Total Experience Gospel Choir, drummer Matt Cameron from Pearl Jam, lead singer Jake Bergevin, other top studio musicians, sound engineers, video teams, photographers, caterers, local news teams and a renovated theater with recording studio. From the first word written to the last note performed, this entirely donated and collective effort demonstrates Senator Obama's unifying message and Americans' desire to act on it. We were in awe of how freely people said, "Yes!" to this project. Just talked with Rudi Shenk our New York state organizer who reported over 300 Barack Obama supporters cheering Barack on during the MySpace and MTV "Presidential Dialogue" in Times Square. Rudi said that police had to increase the amount of space for the Obama supporters because of the amount of people that showed up to be a part of our movement. He said, "The enthusiasm was amazing! Young voters from New York and New Jersey came out to be a part of the magic."

With so many issues directly affecting young voters, it is exciting to see the overwhelming support our campaign is receiving from this new generation of voters. The Kids Are Finally Uniting

According to The Nation "Obama has won among 18-29 year olds in every state, garnering 67% of their votes in South Carolina, 59% in Nevada, 51% in New Hampshire and 57% in Iowa."

In addition to pounding the pavement for this campaign, young voters are showing their support online and getting their friends involved as well. Using social networks, text messaging and the online organizing tools on my.barackobama.com, our supporters are getting the message out far and wide.

This excitement is showing up all over the internet as we now have over 12 million YouTube views, and over 200,000 friends on Facebook, MySpace and BlackPlanet, respectively.

We are excited to announce state-specific pages on both MySpace and BlackPlanet to help our supporters find each other, have local discussions and better organize. We hope that these relationships and networks become a place to work on local issues and share ideas as we change our country one neighborhood at a time. We are also excited to receive TechCrunch's endorsement today as well as recently win all the progressive states primaries involved in the PickYourPresident.org online poll.

Real excitement and activity on all our social networks right now. Tons of people are commenting on Barack's Iowa Democratic Caucus victory speech, signing up to volunteer and encouraging others to help growing our movement of change.

Gaining Momentum Everywhere

We are on a roll. Not just in the critical early-voting states but throughout the nation.

Over the last 48 hours, over 150,000 people voted in MySpace.com's online New Year's poll. And the results are in... Obama 46%, Hillary 31%, and Edwards 8%. View results at Impact.MySpace.com.

Hitwise.com, an Internet monitoring and research company, is reporting a different measure of the increasing amount of people that are viewing information from BarackObama.com. View results here.

Tens of thousands of people are expressing their desire to change the direction of the nation and it is showing everywhere today.

In yesterday's Washington Post Peter Slevin and Jose Antonio Vargas reported on our campaign's efforts to reach out to a wide range online communities:

"If the Internet is like a big grocery store, Obama's aides made sure he appeared on every aisle. As some campaign workers built mailing lists and telephone trees according to political, professional and personal interests, others created the first groups and profiles on sites as varied as Eons, the MySpace for baby boomers, and LinkedIn, a site mostly for white-collar professionals. They also used BlackPlanet.com, MiGente.com, AsianAve.com and GLEE.com -- the MySpace and Facebook for, respectively, the African American, Latino, Asian and gay online communities. They have posted more than 350 videos on his YouTube channel, twice as many as Clinton, and his videos have been viewed nearly twice as often as hers. Obama has more MySpace friends than any other Democratic candidate, and he lists more Facebook supporters than all other Democrats combined."

NH Facebook groups are getting ready for our nation's first primary. The group, "I pledge to vote for Barack Obama in the NH primary" now has over 500 voters and is only one of several groups from around the state. Tanner posted to the group, "Hey, I'm from Dixville Notch, the first town in the nation to release their primary results... and I'm voting for Barack Obama!"

Nevada launched “I pledge to Caucus for Barack Obama in Nevada on January 19th 2008” this week on BlackPlanet.com. Visit their new site at BlackPlanet.com/CaucusObamaNevada.

All the South Carolina social networks are still talking about the impact Oprah had exciting new voters. Cheryl wrote on South Carolina for Obama MySpace page, “Amazing rally! Text Messaging Takes Off

Our campaign had an amazing weekend of organizing young and active voters to stay connected with our movement...

Friday night, musician Stephan Jenkins (Third Eye Blind) called on the crowd at Barack's Generation Obama event in Chicago to take out their cell phones and stay connected with the campaign by "texting in HOPE to 62262."

But the big boost came from our events with Oprah Winfrey over the weekend when thousands of people joined our text messaging campaign. At each event we asked the crowds of thousands to stay closer connected with our movement to change America by taking out their cell phones and texting "HOPE to 62262". South Carolina went a step further and asked everyone to make a few calls to undecided voters, making Williams-Brice Stadium the largest phone bank in the country!

"The campaign attempted to organize that enthusiasm by asking the crowd to text their cell phone numbers to the campaign. Jeremy Bird and Anton Gunn, the campaign's field and political directors, took the stage to ask the crowd to text their phone numbers to Obama's campaign. They also broke a Guinness World Record by conducting the world's largest phone bank, 36,426 people in the audience called four names of South Carolinian voters listed on the back of their tickets and asked them to support Barack Obama."

And the Associated Press wrote:

"Jamal Simmons, co-founder of cellular phone marketing firm Cherry Tree Mobile Media, said the calls and the campaign's pitch for audience members to sign up for text messages were smart innovations for a political campaign. He said, "If they got half the people in that crowd to get out their phone and text message, they got 15,000 cell phone numbers that they can send texts to on Election Day telling them to vote, which is a pretty powerful tool."

This week our networks were all abuzz over Barack's appearance on Saturday Night Live. A YouTube video if the appearance achieved over 500,000 views and people are still talking about how great this skit was on all our social networks.

Evora from Florida posted the SNL clip on our Eons profile and wrote: "Saw it -- was pretty cool. Made me happy." She even let us know her 20-year-old son liked it as well.

With your help, we now have over 190,000 members on Barack's official MySpace page and the community continues to build and grow with different local groups and chapters springing up every day.

And this week, Barack actually got to meet up with several of his Iowa MySpace friends:

Mobile Update: Election Day Edition

As news breaks that Governor Kaine and Virginia Democrats have taken back the state Senate and made huge gains in the House of Delegates, we thought we'd share a few of the responses to our Get Out The Vote (GOTV) push in key state and local elections today.

Obama supporters have been volunteering for candidates up and down the ballot across the state this election season, and your efforts show the kind of impact Barack Obama will have on down-ballot races as the Democratic nominee for president.

In the minutes after we sent our text message reminding people to vote (and bring their friends along), we got an amazing number of replies ...

One person in the Old Dominion texted back: "Working my butt off right now in Virginia canvassing trying to get last minute voters out! FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!"

Meanwhile, Erica in New Jersey replied, "already voted!" and a supporter in Kentucky let us know that they and their friends were "on our way".

Lots of folks echoed Jasper in Sicklerville, N.J., who wrote back, "Thanks 4 the reminder".

One year from now, when we'll be voting for Barack Obama in the general election, Democrats running for state and local office will be more competitive in Virginia and in every part of the country thanks to his broad appeal to Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are tired of the same old politics and conventional thinking.

Your local organizing efforts are breathing new life into our party and the political process. Tonight, as the results come in, we'll see the impact you've been able to have so far.

And in a few short months you'll have the opportunity to turn out the vote for Barack Obama and help him win the Democratic nomination.

MySpace & MTV Dialogue Update

On a sunny, 60 degree fall day at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, hundreds of students and faculty poured out onto the quad to watch as the MTV/MySpace Presidential Dialogue was being taped and streamed live on MySpace.

Barack was fired up and answered questions for over an hour.

Here are what folks who watched are writing in so far:

Ms. P from Dallas, TX wrote to on our MySpace page, "The dialogue today in Iowa was fantastic... your ability to convey your beliefs and ideals about the presidency in a way that our young people can relate to is admirable. Thanks for your honesty."

MySpace and MTV are in Cedar Rapids getting ready for their live Presidential Dialogue with Barack tomorrow at 1:30 PM ET/10:30 AM PT. You can watch the live stream at www.myspace.com/election2008.

Coe College is buzzing with the excitement of having both MySpace and MTV on their campus for the event.

I caught up with Kim Stolz and Gideon Yago of MTV News earlier today. Kim, who has been interviewing Coe College students about the event, said that "both Republicans and Democrats alike are excited to have Barack at Coe College."

"Regardless of their personal views," said Kim, "they recognize this is a chance for them to help make one of the most important decisions in their lives to date."

Gideon told me he's looking forward to the dialogue because Barack is, "One of the most, if not the most interesting, of the candidates of 2008… and I'm excited to see what he has to say to this audience."

Over 195,000 New Members & New Video Release on BlackPlanet

BlackPlanet.com has quickly become our largest social network of friends in less than two weeks. We are excited by all of the energy that Barack has generated on this network in such a short period of time.

Jose Antonio Vargas of the Washington Post notes how influential this network may be in the 2008 elections. He writes:

Before MySpace launched in 2003, and before Facebook was founded in 2004, BlackPlanet has been a mainstay in the African American community, with partnerships with niche publications such as Vibe, Black Enterprise and Essence. Created in 1999, it has 17 million registered users, a vast majority of them in the U.S. According to Hitwise, which tracks online popularity, it's the 5th highest trafficked "socnet," behind MySpace and Facebook, and it's the only niche soc-net in the top 5. In an online poll conducted by the site itself, two-thirds of its members -- 66 percent -- say they are likely to vote next year.

More and more people are coming together on social networks to build unique communities and share ideas around specific interests. Our campaign is excited by the potential these communities offer as a way to have more in depth conversations on specific issues. We hope all of these networks help bring together new people and new ideas into our growing movement of change.

AsianAve.com: is one of the premier online destinations for Asian Americans to network socially and professionally.

Increasing our Latino Social Networking Outreach

We are excited to announce the launching of two new Latino social networking profiles:

MyBatanga.com - Batanga.com started as a bilingual Latin music website and has branched out into the fast-growing MyBatanga social network.

MiGente.com is one of the largest social networks for the English-speaking second generation Latino community.

Our campaign has been active on the MyGrito.com social networking site as well.

Each of these social networks gives our campaign the unique ability to further our conversation with supporters. All of our social networks feature videos, bulletins, and blog posts as a way to help our friends organize and engage their personal networks. Our Latino social networks will have basic information about Barack, ways to directly join the campaign through MyBarackObama.com, as well as general news and updates. NYC Rally Text Update Part Two

The enthusiasm is still pouring in from last night's rally -- another 150 text messages came in overnight. The majority of the messages were from young people who have been turned off by politics for most of their lives and are becoming excited and engaged for the first time. People texted the campaign with all sorts of inquiries. How could they get involved? How could they find more information on Barack's plans? When is he coming back to New York? The most powerful part of our text program from last night was that, in just a few characters of text messaging, rally participants were able to share with us how motivated they are to change this country:

+A new supporter texted in, "Fired up! Going to change my party affiliation from independent to Democratic to help Barack in the NY primary. It was a great night!"

+Marnie, a teacher from Freeport, NY texted, "It was an awesome experience , I brought my husband and son, we all wore our Obama '08 T-shirts. Obama has the spirit of Jack Kennedy! He is the refreshing voice of positive change, which America needs."

+Another person texted us, "First time that a speech has left me speechless! I cannot wait til we can call him our president. I'm fired up and ready to go!"

+And just after midnight C.B. texted, "I am a pastor in Indianapolis and I can feel the electricity from the NY rally all the way in Indiana as I read the articles and review the pictures."

We received over 400 text responses during the NYC Rally directly to Obama Mobile (62262). People of all ages were truly inspired by Barack's speech tonight and are texting us their thoughts on the rally from their phones as they head home. Here are a few of the best ones so far:

Social Networking Round Up!

It was a busy week for Barack on our many social networks with exciting conversations about how we can change our country.

Barack's LinkedIn.com Question, "How can the next president better help small business and entrepreneurs thrive?" received over 1500 answers! This is the most that any question has ever received on this social network. The best part of this discussion has been the well thought out answers from the many experts in the field…small business owners and entrepreneurs from around the country!

While there were tons of great answers, the majority revolved around the subject of easing the burdens of health care costs. Meridith L, a small business owner in Texas wrote:

Serious considerations for providing health care benefits or tax breaks for anyone who is paying 100% of their own health care premiums.. In fact I don't see that any president can be truly serious about helping small business without providing comprehensive national health care in a fashion where the burden is off of the small business owner.

Brett Y from California wrote:

As an owner of an Internet company that started small, I agree with the comments regarding health insurance. My decision/ability to leave the comfort of a regular paycheck and covered health insurance to start a business was made much more difficult by the fear of finding affordable health insurance. Lowering that issue on the list of tough decisions to make when starting a business would go a long way in helping more entrepreneurs thrive.

The struggles of health care were also felt on MySpace and other platforms as well. Barack's MySpace friend BleuBeard wrote:

The single most important thing that small business needs is universal health care. Barack's plan (or some version of it) would be a tremendous boost to all businesses in this country, but especially to small businesses.

There was a great article in yesterday's issue of Communications Daily discussing how our campaign for change is embracing new technology and has even gained the support of former FCC Chairmen Reed Hundt and William Kennard:

Two former Democratic FCC chairmen are among technology industry leaders supporting presidential contender Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., who is using sophisticated Internet fundraising and social networking tools to engage a broad base of supporters that traditional campaigning couldn't reach. Obama set his agenda for technology early, promising in his announcement speech to make widespread broadband access a goal of his presidency.

The article quotes Obama for America technology advisor Julius Genachowski, a former aide to FCC Chairman Hundt:

While it's still early to predict how successful the effort will be, Genachowski said, about 5,000 groups have been created through the networking website and about 15,000 are blogging. "This technology allows people to participate in the process who didn't have a chance before even if candidates wanted them to," he said. One of Obama's recent speeches on health care, for instance, included an anecdote from a woman who described her problems with health insurance on the site. The campaign also is focusing on communication through mobile phones, in a strategy to reach potential supporters who don't have access to computers. "A lot of people on [college] campuses spend more time on their mobiles" than on computers, Genachowski said.

A few months ago, Barack asked the question on Yahoo! Answers, "How can we engage more people in the democratic process?"

Over 17,000 people submitted answers.

I believe we all need to do more work on encouraging more people to participate in the process and make sure every community is included in the discussion. Howard University Debate: Mobile Update

We sent out a text message to Obama Mobile last night reminding everyone to watch the 3rd Presidential Debate at Howard University that was brodcast live on PBS. We received hundreds of responses throughout the evening and great words of encouragement for Barack as he went into the debate.

We even received a $20.00 contribution from a college student in Florida who wrote: “When I got the text about the debate tonight, a few friends and I decided to stay in to watch instead or going out. I'm sure you understand what it means for a college student, such as I, to part with their 'beer money' but here is the money I didn't spend because we watched your debate tonight. I hope it serves you well.”

We asked folks to tune in and text us back with their thoughts about the debate.

A few of the responses that came in just before the debate started: Jayson from area code 508 will be "watching for a Darfur question" while Kelsey from area code 208 wrote "you are truly inspirational and perhaps the only person capable of reversing all the damage that has been done since bush took office". We even had a text from a Howard University student who was headed to the debate.

Baby Boomers For Barack

Although Barack is only 45 and not quite a Baby Boomer, Eons was excited to allow him to join their community and begin a direct discussion with their 500,000+ active members.

YouTube Spotlight Update - How Can We Make This Country Better?

Last week, Barack asked Americans what they were doing to effect change in their communities. "What ever it is that is inspiring you to get involved and make this country better," he said, "we want to hear those ideas from you."

Over 500,000 people watch his YouTube Spotlight Video and here's how some of you replied...

* Brenda is a high school student in California: How do I think we can make this country better? By not making the Dream impossible. I admire Martin Luther King Jr. greatly, so I urge that his words are not forgotten. Don't make the dream a myth or urban legend. I, along with millions of other American teenagers, are willing work for it, but I want to be confident that it will be there when I reach it. I don't want my country to let us down. We don't want to be forgotten.

* Belinda, who teaches English as a second language in Illinois:I'm a second grade bilingual teacher and have been for several years. I also teach two classes of adult ESL every Saturday. Sometimes I have a child in class during the week and his or her parent on Saturday mornings. I also live very close to my city's police department and I am on-call as an interpreter every night. What are my struggles? With my second graders we must fight the notion others have that they aren't good enough to learn or participate in the same activities as other students. There is discrimination from other students as well as faculty. With my adult students I want to weep when I see students walking through all kinds of weather to attend my classes, even though they are desperately needed at home. I try my best to cram as much learning and fellowship into each class as possible. We learn English and prep for the citizenship test at the same time. When I translate for the police department I am frustrated at the number of repeat offenders. I don't know what else to do but continue on. There aren't enough bilingual teachers to go around, so I'll keep teaching advocating for the kids. I'd love to stay at home with my own two children on Saturday mornings, but there aren't enough adult ESL teachers. I'd love to sleep all night on a Saturday, but too few police officers are bilingual and too few offenders speak fluent English.

* Nate of Palmdale, CA: ....we need to teach people critical thinking and help shape a free-thinking politically minded populace. We need to find an agreeable way to close the gap between rich and poor. As a side note: we need to start talking about the economic disparity (and by this I mean the growing gap) between rich and poor (not only in this country but the world). We need to promote non-violence in all arenas of life, and take on a larger global perspective for policies in our country. We need to start acting the way in which we truly want to be.

Obama Campaign Launches Spanish Captioning

Today, we have officially launched Spanish captioning of videos on Barack TV, making us the first campaign to offer both closed captioning and Spanish captioning for our online videos.

“This campaign is about making information accessible and providing tools to all Americans that will enable them to take part in this movement to change this country,” said Senator Barack Obama. “Providing Spanish captioning for videos is just a small step that allows us to connect further with people in the online community.”

I am proud that our campaign is the first campaign to find solutions to make online video and policy announcements available through these captioning services.
