QUIET TIME REFLECTIONS: I AM SO PROUD OF PRESIDENT OBAMA AND AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first publication since the election. These words came to me during my quiet time this AM. I want to share them with you.

I have bought and placed a 5’ x 4’ Betsy Ross’ American flag on the hood of ole red to celebrate this revolution of truth. Make no mistake about it: that is exactly what it was.

President Obama told us he is going to raise our taxes and won! Nobody wants it, but we all know it must be done to pay down this debt, put people to work and to rebuild our infrastructure.

President Obama told us he is going to provide every American with health care. This will save us billions in emergent care to the poor which is all there entitled to now. We will be a healthier more productive population.

President Obama told us he is going to challenge us to wean ourselves from Arab oil in ten years. Challenge what a great word and better concept than spend and don’t worry about what we are doing in Iraq or with your money. Challenge: Yes challenge us: Please challenge us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Arabs have no idea of the depth of and strength of the American Heart. They don’t believe it or President Obama. Please notice that the price has gone way down recently when we got fed up. Well, I got news for em. Not this time baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

President Obama has tapped that well spring. Look at who supported him. It wasn’t the fat cats. They can’t believe it either. It was the poor and middle classes. They finally voted their interest. Moreover, the Obama army is still there: Millions Strong, Resilient, Informed and Dead Ready!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are coming out of Iraq!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya’ll spend your own money now. We got real problems with which to deal.

We are coming after you Osama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run and Hide Murder. We will find you. Turn my young hill jacks lose on him President Obama. You have no idea what is in our hearts for these people.

We are going to rebuild our economy: Pay down this debt; create new high paying green jobs and stabilize and grow the economy again. We will prosper: Regain our position of leadership in the World by earning it by adhering to the standards and ethos that made this country great instead of the excess, greed and corruption of last eight years.

We have a brilliant innovative leader again who knows we can do it. I am so proud of America again. The future is so bright. We have moved past petty prejudice. We are realizing Dr. King’s Dream. Lord, lord, lord: the power and strength I see in a United America.

So understand when you see me in ole red: No I am not crazy. I feel like John Adams as described by David McCullough: inspired and resolute.

THE LAST BASTION OF DECEIT: SENATOR OBAMA IS BIBLICALLY CORRECT ON ABORTION.

Friends: The Republicans are down to their Last Bastion of Deceit: The Abortion Issue. The rest have been artfully exposed: I.E. That their tax breaks are only for the wealthiest amongst us and they would raise taxes on the middle class; or that the Democrats want us Hill Jack’s and Red Neck’s Guns.

The Republicans are deceitfully wrong on Abortion.

You see our Lord, as he proved when he came to earth, is not about evil and hate, but rather Grace.

Our Lord is not about accusation and anger, but rather love and understanding, as i prove in the OP.ED. below.

This Last Bastion of Deceit must also be refuted if We are to obtain the landslide We The People so richly deserve in 2008.

SENATOR OBAMA IS BIBLICALLY CORRECT ON THE ISSUE OF ABORTION.

My name is B.L. Conway. I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Kentucky and a 1986 Graduate of its’ terrific Law School. I reside in tiny Abingdon Virginia where I enjoy the practice of law. I am a history buff and a Christian that was trained in a Purpose Driven Church (The fastest growing Christian Movement in the World given to us without strings by the wonderful Pastor Rick Warren). My purpose is to serve others gladly freely by providing the truth in light, which is all I am trying to accomplish here.

The Conservative Right label and accuse Senator Obama and the Democrats of murder for being pro abortion. This is simply not true. Mr. Obama has said plainly that he is not for abortion and he will work to see that it is limited and that women fully understand that there are better choices. This is the Biblically Correct approach.

Jesus taught against strict enforcement of religious law because we humans are not capable of being perfect. We see this portrayed constantly in the gospels during Jesus’ conflict with the religious leaders. For example, the Pharisee accused Jesus of sin for healing on the Sabbath and he rebuked them. John 5:1. They also accused Jesus disciples of sin for gathering grain on the Sabbath and Jesus rebuked them. Matthew 12:2. Jesus said of these hypocrites in Matthew 23:3 and 4 that we should not follow their works for they say and do not perform and they lay heavy burdens to grievous to be born by men, yet they do not abide by them.

This is a central problem for the so called “Conservatives” of today that have sold the public this litmus test of Abortion. They command others to a standard that they are unwilling and unable to perform personally. We cannot legislate morality. As Pastor Rick Warren teaches, this occurs from the inside out with the help of our Savior.

Now let me discuss, Jesus’ position on Abortion. It is Sin and it is Murder. I do not know why the Democrats dance around the issue. There is no question about it and Jesus condemned it and any other harm to a child. However, it is not the job of those on the Right to judge their sisters, nor do we need big brother in the bedroom, be it in the hospital or otherwise. They do not know their sisters circumstances or how she came to that terrible decision to sin.

But rest assured that JESUS CAN, WILL AND HAS FORGIVEN HER. Jesus forgave many “harlots” in the bible.

Please look at what that means. Prostitution was rampant in ancient Rome and its’ territories as has been shown by archeology. Contraception was non existent. This means the harlot were bearing children. They have found mass graves of infants below the Roman Brothels throughout their Empire. See E.G. Determining the Sex of Infanticide Victims from the Late Roman Era through Ancient DNA Analysis, Journal of Archaeological Science Volume 25, Issue 9, September 1998, Pages 861-865.

This is called infanticide. It was more heinous than abortion as THE CHILDREN WERE FULLY BORN!

Jesus did not blink or avoid the issue. He knelt down to the ground and began to write in the book of life and said let he that has not sinned cast the first stone. Well, that scattered the hypocrites.!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus then stood up and said “Woman where are they? Has no one condemned you? No one sir, she said. Then neither do I condemn you; Go now and leave your life of sin”.

Oh!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful blessing our Lord gave this woman. His grace knows no bounds!

There were many of these “harlots” that followed, supported and cared for Jesus. Mary Magdalene for example, was deranged and possessed by demons. Luke 8:1-3. These women anointed Jesus feet, cared and fed him. Luke 7:36- 50 and see John 12:1-8 and Mark 14:3-9. Jesus cured them and forgave them their many sins which no doubt included infanticide.

These Women loved Jesus and stood right with him during the crucifixion. Jesus told the religious leaders: "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots shall enter the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him.” (Matthew 21:31b, 32)

Friends, I pray you know that sin is despicable in God’s view. Secondly, Abortion is clearly a sin, but there are not levels of sin. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of god. None of us would have a prayer for eternity, but for the awesome sacrifice of Jesus who paid with his blood our terrible just punishment.

However Friends, please also see that we are not to judge our sisters that commit this heinous act of Abortion. We cannot legislate morality. We need to teach it by getting our kids in good church and by expanding the Kingdom.

I do not think and I pray that no one commits the sin of Abortion frivolously. I also pray that they see their error and repent.

We however, do not need Government in this decision making process. This is to say that we should not condemn our sisters or cast the first stone. We are not without Sin.

Lastly, this is not the role of Government. As a citizen we enjoy a right of privacy and a refuge from the tyranny of the masses in personal decisions of this nature that our ancestors fought and died for. Let Our Wonderful Lord and Savior deal with us Sinners. He does a better job than our fallible human Courts.

Now, let me address the first point of the title first, because as to it there can be little argument. He was born Yeshua Ben Yoseph in the town of Bethlehem. Yeshua means salvation or “Lord who is salvation” in Hebrew while the remainder of his name refers to his lineage from his earthly father. Smith’s Bible Dictionary; The Nazerene Way of Essenic Studies internet publication entitled Yeshua or Jesus. Jesus was born into a poor Hebrew family, but one that was provided for very well by God through the Wise Men. Matthew 2:1-12.

Jesus’ family was from Nazareth, a poor Jewish enclave in the province of Galilee. Id. Nazareth was located near the Gentile cities of Tiberias and Sepphoris on the Sea of Gaililee that lies in Israel along the ancient “Via Maris” which linked Egypt to Mesopotamia. First Century Historian Flavius Josephus, Encyclopedia Britannica, Sea of Galilee available on line. This region was essentially and eastern extension of Africa due to the interaction of these peoples as has been shown by archeology and linguistic evidence. Troubling Biblical Waters: Race, Class and Family by Cain Hope Felder (New York Orbis Books 1994) at page 8 through 14 and see Professor Mark Goodacres’ internet article entitled Jesus as a Person of Color; and see BBC NEWS for Wednesday October 27 2004 article entitled So What Colour was Jesus?

Thus, Jesus spent his formative years in Africa and was exposed to Egyptian mysticism. For all these reasons, it is clear that Jesus was a man of color. He was of mixed blood known as Afroasiatic. What is in a name? Today in America our names have little meaning other than to identify us. This was and is not so in Middle Eastern cultures. The name Hussein which is being used to demagogue Barrack Obama because it was also the shortened name of Saddam Hussein does not actually have any evil connotation. In Arabic it means “to be good” or “to be handsome or beautiful”. Obama Should be Proud to be Named Hussein, Salon. I can only assume given those ears, that Mr. Obama’s parents were referring to the former. Whereas, the use of the Hussein name in the former dictator’s name refers to his father’s first name. The former dictator’s full name was Saddam Hussein al-Majid al-Tikriti which means Saddam son of Hussein al-Majid of the tribe of al-Tikriti. Blair Shewchuck, CBS NEWS ONLINE.

So as with most demagoguery, we find that there is no basis in fact for it, nor is there any thing for us Caucasian Americans to fear from the use of this name. Like the true name of Jesus, Barrack’s name refers to good.

By the way, Jesus’ true name changed upon Peter’s revelation that he was the Messiah to Rabbi Yeshua Ben Mashiach (Jesus Son of God). Mark 8:27 through Mark 8:33, Matthew 6:16 through Matthew 6:18, Luke 9:18 through 9:22. Jesus was called this and the crowd shouted Hosanna (God Save us) upon his triumphal entry to Jerusalem prior to his crucifixion. Mark 11:1 through Mark 11:11 and see, from the SOURCES by Eliezer Segal available online and Psalms 8:2.

Jesus, as he had many times before, then called these religious leaders hypocrites to their face because they misused their wealth, power and position to glorify and satisfy themselves rather than to take care of the poor, the widowed and orphaned. Mark 12:42, Luke 21:2. In his Ministry, Jesus often warned of the danger of wealth and possessions. He taught that a man’s life is not measured by possessions and that we can not serve God and money. Luke 12:15 through Luke 12:16, Matthew 6:24. Jesus said that it will be very difficult for a rich man to enter heaven. Luke 6:20 through Luke 24, Matthew 19:23,24 and Luke 12:33. He taught that we are stewards of God’s blessings and that we should use our position, power and wealth to help those less fortunate and to expand the Kingdom. Matthew 6:33, Matthew 19:21, Luke 12:33 and Luke 12:48 and Pastor Jimmie Davidson from a sermon. These are liberal principals, but it does not end there.

Jesus was and is against the Death Penalty. He taught that thou shall not kill and that if one is sinless; let him cast the first stone, as he bent down and wrote symbolically in the sand. John 8:3 through John 8:11, Luke 6:37 through Luke 6:42. Jesus changed a murderer named Saul into the most prolific apostle of them all. Acts 22:6 through Acts 22:11. Peter was the rock upon which the God’s church was built, but Paul spread the Gospel further and planted more churches than he. Matthew 6:18, B.W. Johnson, The People’s New Testament, 1891 available on line and Pastor Jimmie Davidson from one of his sermons. Paul also wrote most of the New Testament. Id. This belief in the goodness and potential of all men is a liberal principal.

Jesus taught us to be merciful. He said “blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy” and that if we do not forgive those that harm us that we should not expect to be forgiven by God. Matthew 5:7, and see Luke 10:30 through Luke 10:37.

We have seen this proven in our times. Just think about three of the most influential leaders of the last century: Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King and compare their effectiveness to the Arab terrorist. These were men of color on three separate continents in entirely different cultures who used love and non violence in the face of powerful entrenched government leaders and evil and hate to effect remarkable change. They were acting out liberal biblical principals in faith.

Jesus taught that Love was the most important commandment. He said love your God with all your heart body and soul and your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37 through Matthew 22:40.

I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus was a liberal two thousand years ago and remains one today; thank God for his grace.

So, West Virginia, please see that you need not fear Mr. Barack Obama because of his color or his liberalism and progressive thinking. He is less liberal than Jesus. Mr. Obama has already told us that he does not want our guns and will enforce the death penalty.

You, West Virginia, were part of Virginia at the beginning of the Revolution. See e.g. www.wvculture.org/HISTORY/. Your residents considered themselves Virginians because most of them had come to settle your beautiful Mountains from the Potomac watershed territory of Virginia. Id. Your ancestors were rebels for sure, as shown by the many Pension and Land Bounty Warrants that they filed post Victory. Id.

We like to think that Virginia is the birth place of freedom as a consequence of the leadership of her sons, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson. They were liberals, indeed radicals declared criminals worthy of hanging by King George. John Adams, David McCullough, Simon Schuster Paperbacks, 2001 at 138 and 157. Patrick Henry declared “give me liberty of give me death”. Life and Times of Patrick Henry, William Wirt, 1817. West Virginia, so many of your brave sons fought and died for the liberal freedoms of America. Join us to make history once again. We must show the world that the truth and peace still matter to the Citizens of these United States and that we have progressed past petty prejudices.

I think it not a coincidence that Mr. Barack Obama, a Christian and a man of mixed black and white blood, has rose up to us as he has with such a strong belief that we can come together. We must do this. We must realize Dr. King’s dream. We will be better for it.

So you like Junior and Cheney have invited this scrutiny. I can’t help it if those in the media are not smart or religious enough to ask the right questions. But I am. I will interpret your tongues fairly. I will research the language. On the day of Pentecost my sister, they were speaking the tongues of the sojourners from other countries to Jerusalem. This is why so many were saved that day.

So I wonder: are your tongues in Aramaic, the language of our Lord, Sister Sarah?

I am a history buff and a Christian that was trained in a Purpose Driven Church (the fastest growing Christian Movement in the world that was given to us by Pastor Rick Warren) here in tiny Abingdon, Virginia. My purpose is to serve others gladly and freely, which is what I am trying to do here.

So as with most demagoguery, we find that there is no basis in fact for it, nor is there any thing for us Caucasian Americans to fear from the use of this name.

Jesus, as he had many times before, then called these religious leaders hypocrites to their face because they misused their wealth, power and position to glorify and satisfy themselves rather than to take care of the poor, the widowed and orphaned. This was consistent with Jesus’ prior ministry as he taught that we are stewards of God’s blessings and we should use them to help those less fortunate and to expand the kingdom. These are liberal principals, but it does not end there.

Jesus is a Peace maker and believed in and taught Peace. He said “blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called children of god”. He taught that we should love and pray for our enemies.

I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus was a liberal: Thank God for his grace.

You North Carolina were one of the first delegations at the Continental Congress that pleased John Adams and Thomas Jefferson by calling for independence with them through your Halifax Resolves. Your brave sons and daughters then joined with us Virginians to defeat the British at Kings Mountain. It was then through your lands in 1781 that General Nathaniel Green led Cornwallis to that Pyrrhic victory at what is now modern day, Greensboro. This sent Cornwallis scampering to the safety of the coast where he would soon surrender.

North Carolina, so many of your brave sons fought and died for the liberal freedoms of America. Join us to make history once again. We must show the world that the truth and peace still matter to the Citizens of these United States and that we have progressed past petty prejudices.

I have learned to expect Junior and Cheney to lie right to my face. But, Nancy, please: How can you stand at the podium and say you are doing this for the middle class and there will be accountability. How stupid do you think we are? You just gave a trillion dollars that we don’t have to the very same Wall Street thieves that created this so called crisis by relieving from the responsibility of the bad deals they made. There comes a time that we must pay for our excesses. We see it repeatedly in the history of Capitalism. It is called everything from recession to depression. It is painful; no question about it. It is also necessary, I believe.

Those responsible must pay. This is fundamental and just. During the Great Depression they jumped out windows to avoid it. Now they ask us to borrow their way out of it. My answer is HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You made your bed big boys and girls. NOW LIE IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU WANTED DEREGULATION AND YOU GOT IT. NOW SWALLOW IT!!!!!!!!!

We down here in Appalachia have already reaped your whirlwind. Your Republican governance has given us $4.00 gasoline, endless war and a devalued dollar. Our poor and those on fixed incomes are walking and eating cat and dog food or humbling themselves and coming to our food banks. We will take care of them as our grandfathers did during the Great Depression, you last Great Debacle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

If you do this, you are only delaying the inevitable. Sooner or later, we are going to have to pay these debts or bankrupt them. If the later is the plan, I am for it: Screw the Arabs and China. They and their buddies Cheney, Exon and Haliburton certainly have been doing it to us big time.

However, I know that is not the plan as it would be un-American. We do not avoid our responsibilities. We stand up when everybody runs. Look at the greatest Generation, for example. I do not know if I would have had the courage to storm the beaches for the French, but I am sure proud of those that did.

We already have incurred the greatest debt in the history of the United States under Junior and Cheney’s leadership. In addition, while no one was looking, in this so called crisis, they raised our debt limit to twelve trillion ($12,000,000,000.00). Yes, boys I see your shell games. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Down here in Appalachia, we can not get our mind around that number or the debt you have already saddled us with. We owe ten trillion dollars now. What is the interest on that per minute? Please tell us. It is our children’s inheritance.

There is nothing wrong with creating a new government agency to buy this paper and renegotiate the loans to make them solvent. That is good idea and it will work for us. The problem is your attempt to save those that made these bad deals and created this crisis. With all due respect, FEED EM FISH HEADS. LET THEM REAP THEIR WHIRLWIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New FAMM Poll Finds Americans Oppose Mandatory Minimums, Will Vote for Candidates Who Feel the Same

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A new poll released today by Families Against Mandatory Minimums (FAMM) shows widespread support for ending mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent offenses and that Americans will vote for candidates who feel the same way.

• Fully 78 percent of Americans (nearly eight in 10) agree that courts – not Congress – should determine an individual's prison sentence.
• Six in 10 (59 percent) oppose mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent offenders.
• A majority of Americans (57 percent) polled said they would likely vote for a candidate for Congress who would eliminate all mandatory minimums for nonviolent crimes.

"Politicians have voted for mandatory minimum sentences so they could appear 'tough on crime' to their constituents. They insist that their voters support these laws, but it's just not true," says Julie Stewart, president and founder of FAMM. "Republicans and Democrats support change and that should encourage members of Congress to reach across the aisle next year and work together to reform mandatory minimums. Mandatory sentencing reform is not a partisan issue, but an issue about fairness and justice that transcends party lines."

During a time of financial crisis and uncertainty in the United States, reviewing current criminal justice policies and reforming mandatory minimums for nonviolent drug offenders is an option that Democratic and Republican lawmakers are considering. Although neither is endorsing FAMM's poll or report, Senator Jim Webb (D-Va.) and Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.) are both concerned about America’s prison and sentencing system.

"America is locking up people at astonishing rates. In the name of 'getting tough on crime,' there are now 2.2 million Americans in federal, state, and local prisons and jails and over 7 million under some form of correction supervision, including probation and parole. We have the largest prison population in the world,” says Senator Jim Webb (D-Va.), who is chairing a symposium on criminal justice and prison issues in October. "This growth is not a response to increasing crime rates, but a reliance on prisons and long mandatory sentences as the common response to crime. It is time for America's leadership to realize what the public understands – our approach is costly, unfair and impractical."

"Mandatory minimums wreak havoc on a logical system of sentencing guidelines," says Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.). "Mandatory minimums turn today’s hot political rhetoric into the nightmares of many tomorrows for judges and families."

"This poll suggests that a majority of Americans are open to re-examining this issue and moving to a court-driven sentencing model," said Sparky Zivin, Research Director at StrategyOne.

The poll bolsters the findings of FAMM’s comprehensive new report, Correcting Course: Lessons from the 1970 Repeal of Mandatory Minimums, which describes how Congress repealed mandatory minimum sentences for drug offenses in 1970 – and had no trouble getting reelected.

"Our report and poll show that lawmakers can vote to reform mandatory minimums for nonviolent offenses and live to tell the story. Republicans and Democrats alike don't want these laws. They don't work, they cost taxpayers a fortune, and people believe Courts can sentence better than Congress can. Another repeal of mandatory drug sentences isn't just doable, it's doable right now," says Molly Gill, author of Correcting Course.

The report details how Congress created mandatory minimum prison sentences for drug offenders in 1951 and repealed them in 1970 because the laws failed to stop drug abuse, addiction and trafficking. It also finds that after 20 years of experience, current mandatory minimums have failed as badly as those enacted in the 1950s.

Correcting Course concludes that mandatory minimum sentences:

• Have not discouraged drug use in the United States.• Have not reduced drug trafficking.
• Have created soaring state and federal corrections costs.
• Impose substantial indirect costs on families by imprisoning spouses, parents, and breadwinners for lengthy periods.
• Are not applied evenly, disproportionately impacting minorities and resulting in vastly different sentences for equally blameworthy offenders.
• Undermine federalism by turning state-level offenses into federal crimes.
• Undermine separation of powers by usurping judicial discretion.

Eric Sterling, counsel to the House Judiciary Committee when mandatory sentences were enacted, says, "In 1986, we got stuck with some of the most punitive, least effective criminal sentencing laws ever created. Mandatory minimums haven’t stopped the drug trade. They haven't locked up the big dealers and importers. They're applied to small fries, not kingpins. It's a waste of taxpayer dollars to lock up a street-level dealer for 10 years when that money could be spent on treatment, drug courts, or going after the people bringing in boatloads of drugs every year. Getting rid of mandatory minimums is about getting our priorities straight."

Correcting Course includes comprehensive strategies for how Congress can repeal these ineffective laws today and better reflect the popular attitude among Americans, as brought out in the findings of the poll.

"Mandatory minimums are among the worst criminal justice policies ever adopted in this country. They treat all offenders the same, when the most sacred principle of American sentencing law is that punishment should fit the individual and the crime. Repealing these laws isn’t impossible – it’s been done before. The next Congress should do it again," says FAMM founder and president Julie Stewart.

FAMM's poll was conducted by the independent public opinion research firm StrategyOne. The survey was conducted by telephone between July 31 and August 3, 2008 with 1,000 adults randomly selected across the United States. The margin of sampling error for the poll is plus or minus 3.1 percent for 95 out of 100 cases.

MANDATORY MINIMUMS: STICK EM!!!!!!!!!

My name is B.L. Conway. i am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Kentucky and a 1986 graduate of its law school. i reside in Abingdon, Virginia where I enjoy the practice of law. i want to tell you about something that is not in the News. However it weighs heavy on my heart as i see the Republicans bail out Wall Street with Seven Hundred Billion Dollars ($700,000,000,000,00). What about Main Street for goodness sake?

The Republicans have created the greatest deficit in the history of the United States. This Debt has devalued our dollar and destabilized our economy. Do you remember, they told us they were the party of Fiscal Conservatism and i hear Pappy McCain spouting that BS AGAIN as he and his party and his president hand out Seven Hundred Billion ($700,000,000,000,00) to Wall Street. How do these people sleep a night? If what the Republicans have done since junior, Cheney and they took power is fiscally conservative, then GUESS WHAT? I AM RONALD REAGAN!!!!!!!!!

The Republicans are the party of a COTTAGE INDUSTRY OF PRISONS THAT ARE CONTRIBUTING MIGHTILY TO OUR DEFICIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have built them all over Appalachia, for example. They have populated them by passing laws with MANDATORY MINIMUM SENTENCES. IE. The gun and drug provisions (5 years for a first offense in State Court and 10 years in Federal Court) the effect of which i discuss below. However, if you get interested ask me about poor Bradley McKinsey who sets rotting away in prison for fifteen (15) for another Victimless Crime (just having gun in his house).

Yeah boy, we sure are a lot better off as a consequence of the Republican Party getting tough on crime, aren’t we? Just look around your home town at all the shiny happy people walking and sleeping in your streets. THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED TO LEGISLATE MORALITY WHICH WILL NEVER WORK!!!!!!!!. THEY HAVE CREATED A BRUTAL POLICE STATE. You won’t believe this, but they actually calculate what they call JUSTICE as a math problem. See the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, for example. The only thing I have seen similar in history is the work of Goring and Himmler with their Concentration Camps and the decisions made therein. These prisons currently are full of disease, dispar and disintegration of personalities and abilities.

What do you think my heroes, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and John Adams think about legislators sentencing citizens they have never seen in the name of law and order? Our young hilljacks are wasting away in prisons at a cost to the tax payers of Thirty Five Thousand ($35,000.00) Dollars per year, because they were caught with a gun and cocaine. WE COULD EDUCATE THEM FOR THAT !!!!!!

In other words, they are brain damaged. They make mistakes as they always have. i know that what i am asking is not politically correct, but it weighs heavy on my heart. We need to give them a chance to serve in the military or elsewhere, rather than waste away their youth in jail.

i will promise you, if the Government would turn these young hilljacks loose in the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan, you would not have to worry about anybody named Osama again!!!!!!!!!!!! There will not be any. We do not even have to equip them. Just let them have their deer rifles and some ammo.

i was in Court in Appalachia that fateful September 11 when the first attack occurred. A bailiff came into the Courtroom and advised Judge McGlothlin, whose beautiful son recently died serving in Iraq, what had occurred. We all went to the jail, because that was the only place that had a television. We were shocked!!!!!!!!!!! My first thought was, I am so glad that my family was in Southwest Virginia, because they are not coming down here.

However, in the next few days , i was driving down Interstate 81 to Court in Appalachia when i happened to look up and there was a man running up and down the overpass with the American Flag. i assume it was a team of men. i thought to self, " NO i am wrong, i sure wish they would send those rag heads down here!!!!!!!!!!"

We love this country and our freedom dearly here in Appalachia. Do not waste our children for commerce and industry. Turn them loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I beg you. Tx bl

Now let me address the first point of the title first because as to it there can be little argument. He was born Yeshua Ben Yoseph in the town of Bethlehem. Yeshua means salvation or “Lord who is salvation” in Hebrew while the remainder of his name refers to his lineage from his earthly father. Smith’s Bible Dictionary; The Nazerene Way of Essenic Studies internet publication entitled Yeshua or Jesus. Jesus was born into a poor Hebrew family, but one that was provided for very well by God through the Wise Men. Matthew 2:1-12.

Jesus taught that Love was the most important commandment. He said love your God with all your heart body and soul and your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37 through Matthew 22:40.

So, Ohio, please see that you need not fear Mr. Barack Obama because of his color or his liberalism and progressive thinking. He is less liberal than Jesus. Mr. Obama has already told us that he does not want our guns and will enforce the death penalty.

You Ohio were part of large territory that bore your name during the Revolutionary War. The British just prior to War annexed you to the Province of Quebec. Quebec Act of 1774 was an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain (citation 14 Geo. III c. 83). This “outrage” fueled the anger of the Colonist for rebellion. Ammerman, David. Jesus also changed a murderer named Saul into the most prolific apostle of them all. Peter was the rock upon which the God’s church was built, but Paul spread the Gospel further (he wrote most of the New Testament) and planted more churches than he. This belief in the goodness and potential of all men is a liberal principal.

i understood when i used the Bible and archeology to prove that Jesus was Colored and Liberal and that Jesus forgave abortionist that i was taking a chance. However, i find the benefits outweigh the risk. We need to blow up the sterotypes, platitudes and bigotry that prevent thinking freely. l Why? The stakes are so great this year. i truly believe that we are headed in a terrible direction. Think about it: We have the largest debt in the history of our Nation. This has devalued our dollar, which cost us all. We are involved in an endless Civil War, not of our making. The Arabs, Exxon and the other oil companies are transferring our wealth over there at what T. Boone Pickens called the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the world.

Our economic markets are in complete turmoil. i and most likely you, lost terribly this very day ($500,000,000,000.00 in value of the Market according to Pat Buchanan on Hard Ball) b/c of the unregulated speculation of the executives at Lehman Brothers. We did not have the money to bail them out. So it is bankruptcy loss for those investors to look forward too.

IT IS TIME TO RETURN TO THE CLINTONIAN APPROACH OF THE 90S: REMEMBER? PAY DOWN THIS DEBT AND STABILIZE OUR ECONOMY. RAISE MY TAXES AND THOSE IN MY INCOME BRACKET, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Right demagogue Senator Obama and the Democrats as pro abortion. This is simply not true. Mr. Obama has said plainly that he is not for abortion and he will work to see that it is limited and that women fully understand that there are better choices. This is the correct approach and it is biblically based.

Jesus taught against strict enforcement of religious law because we humans are not capable of being perfect. We see this constantly in the gospels in Jesus conflict with the religious leaders who would eventually kill him. For example, they accused Jesus of sin for healing on the Sabbath and he rebuked them. John 5:1 They also accused Jesus disciples of sin for gathering grain on the Sabbath and Jesus rebuked them. Matthew 12:2. Jesus said of these hypocrites in Matthew 23:3 and 4 to not follow their works for they say and do not perform and they lay heavy burdens to grievous to be born by men, yet they do not abide by them.

This is a central problem for the so called "conservatives" of today that have sold the public this litmus test of Abortion. They command others to a standard that they are unwilling and unable to perform personally. We cannot legislate morality. As Pastor Rick Warren teaches this occurs from the inside out (metamorphi) with the help of our Savior.

Now let me discuss Jesus’ position on Abortion. It is Sin and it is Murder. I do not know why the Democrats dance around the issue. There is no question about it and Jesus condemned it and any other harm to a child. However, it is not the job of those on the right to judge their sisters, nor do we need big brother in the bedroom, be it in the hospital or otherwise. They do not know their sisters circumstances or how she came to that terrible decision to sin.

But rest assured that JESUS CAN, WILL AND HAS FORGIVEN HER. Jesus forgave many "harlots" in the bible. Lets look at what that means. Prostitution was rampant in ancient Rome and its’ territories as has been shown by archeology. Contraception was non existent. This means the harlot were bearing children. They have found mass graves of infants below the Roman Brothels. See eg. Determining the Sex of Infanticide Victims from the Late Roman Era through Ancient DNA Analysis, Journal of Archaeological Science Volume 25, Issue 9, September 1998, Pages 861-865.

This is called infanticide. It was more heinous than abortion as THE CHILD WAS FULLY BORN!

Now consider that and read John 8:1-11. This was a trap sewn by the Religious leaders. They lead the harlot, caught in the act, before the people with Jesus preparing to teach them in the Temple. They cited the requirement of the Law from Lev. 20:10 and Deut 22:22 (death by stoning) and asked our Savior what to do, to try and trap him. Jesus did not blink or avoid the issue. He knelt down to the ground and began to write in the book of life and said let he that has not sinned cast the first stone. Well, that scattered the hypocrites.!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus then stood up and said "Woman where are they? Has no one condemned you? No one sir, she said. Then neither do I condemn you; Go now and leave your life of sin". Oh!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful blessing our Lord gave this woman. His grace knows no bounds!

There were many of these "harlots" that followed, supported and cared for Jesus. Mary Magdalen for example, was deranged and possessed by demons. Luke 8:1-3. These women anointed Jesus feet, cared and fed him. Luke 7:36- 50 and see John 12:1-8 and Mark 14:3-9. Jesus cured them and forgave them their many sins that no doubt included infanticide. They loved Jesus and stood right with him during the crucifixion. Jesus told the religious leaders: "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots shall enter the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him. (Matthew 21:31b, 32)

So, folks I pray you see that sin is despicable in God’s view and abortion is clearly a sin. I do not think there are levels of sin. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of god. None of us would have a prayer for eternity, but for the awesome sacrifice of Jesus who paid with his blood our terrible just punishment. However, we are not to judge our sisters that commit this heinous act. I do not think and I pray that no one commits that sin frivolously. I also pray that they see their error and repent.

I faced the issue at age seventeen and could not do it. I had sinfully knocked up a sixteen year old Catholic girl. Her mother proposed Abortion. I said no, I will marry her, having no idea what that really meant. The marriage failed, but my first son, Michael "Toby" Conway has been a blessing to me and my family. I have never regretted my decision, but it was difficult.

We don’t need Government in this decision making process. This is to say that we should not condemn our sisters or cast the first stone. We are not without Sin. This is not the role of Government. As a citizen we enjoy a right of privacy and a refuge from the tyranny of the masses in personal decisions of this nature that our ancestors fought and died for. Let God deal with us Sinners. He does a better job than our fallible human Courts.

You want to limit or even eradicate Abortion? There is only one way to do it: Expand the Kingdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are not going to get er done by yelling at them and calling them names. Many people have a huge hole in their heart that they try to fill with drugs, alcohol and casual sex. They need the truth, light and the blessed assurance of their maker. Help us save them. Get in a good church, learn your shape for ministry and serve mightily.

Hi Friends: I just filled up Old Red. It cost $67.50. Now, let me preface these remarks by telling you that I am angry. I am also rich, but I am still angry. The lord has blessed me abundantly, but I am still angry.

I do not know how my brothers and sisters on fixed income or those making at or about the minimum wage (which the Republicans did not want to raise) are making it.

I thought when is saw that total, boy I wish I could make Junior, Cheney and their partners, Exxon, Chevron and the Arabs get up on top of Old Red and toss a match in that gas tank. Do something for goodness sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't tell me you don't have the power or that it's market forces or speculators. I did not just fall off the turnip truck. I know who you are. You don't care!!!!!!!!!

If I had your power, I would use the US Marshall Service for good for once. I would seize the oil companies windfall profits and give it back to the people they stole it from.

Don't tell me that this would cripple research, development and exploration. They aren't doing any. They have abundant reserves right hear in the US they are not drilling. They have not updated their refineries and their capacities in twenty years. The oil companies are obviously, doing this purposefully. Yet, Pappy McCain stands and says give them more of our reserves and more tax breaks.

We have rovers by the name of Spirit and Opportunity (google it friends, its true) that have been traveling around Mars for five years performing complex scientific research without a drop of fuel. Now, you expect me to believe that I can't have an electric scooter that will run 40 MPH or an electric car that will run 70 MPH and stay charged all day. BS, hypocrite: We have had enough. JESUS WAS DARK, LIBERAL: WHY FEAR MR. OBAMA?

My name is B.L. Conway. I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Kentucky and a 1986 graduate of its law school. I reside in Abingdon Virginia where I enjoy the practice of law. My first cousin, Jack is your Attorney General. I am a Christian. My purpose is to serve others gladly and freely, which is what I am trying to do here.

I was born and raised in Morganfield Kentucky. I know the racial divide that exists in the towns of Kentucky. There is much suspicion of each other and in circumstances hatred that exist between the races. I know it up close and personal, but that is for another publication.

I want you good folks to understand that Mr. Obama has none of that perhaps earned suspicion or hatred of us Whites. His experience is more like the immigrants from India that have achieved so well in America. In other words, he is not a descendant of slaves. He does not know our dark side personally. He knows only the Hope, Optimism and Opportunity that is America.

Now let me first point of the title because as to it there can be little argument. He was born Yeshua Ben Yoseph in the town of Bethlehem. Yeshua means salvation or “Lord who is salvation” in Hebrew while the remainder of his name refers to his lineage from his earthly father. Jesus was born into a poor Hebrew family, but one that was provided for very well by God through the Wise Men.

So as with most demagoguery, we find that there is no basis in fact for it, nor is there any thing for us Caucasian Americans to fear from the use of this name.

Jesus, as he had many times before, then called these religious leaders hypocrites to their face because they misused their wealth, power and position to glorify and satisfy themselves rather than to take care of the poor, the widowed and orphaned. This was consistent with Jesus’ prior ministry as he taught that we are stewards of God’s blessings and we should use them to help those less fortunate and to expand the kingdom. These are liberal principals, but it does not end there.

Jesus is a Peace maker and believed in and taught Peace. He said “blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called children of god”. He taught that we should love and pray for our enemies.

I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus was a liberal: Thank God for his grace.

Kentucky, so many of your brave sons fought and died for the liberal freedoms of America. Join us, your sister Commonwealth, to make history once again. We must show the world that the truth and peace still matter to the Citizens of these United States and that we have progressed past petty prejudices. I think it not a coincidence that Mr. Barack Obama, a Christian and a man of mixed black and white blood, has rose up to us as he has with such a strong belief that we can come together. We must do this. We must realize Dr. King’s dream for America. We will be better for it.

Friends: it is bl again. i had a friend e mail me to tell me of the assault on me in this forum. i have already responded to Pastor Curt, personally. i think that is absolutely the correct stance for a my Church to take. it has no business, in the rough and tuble forum of politics.

i hear these so called “conservative preachers” and i wonder what Bible they are reading. it is certainly not about the Yeshua i have come to find refuge within. they build great edifices, Colleges and Churches to themselve. they do not know how to spell salvation, in my humble opinion.

i was not comparing my Savior to Mr. Obama. He is a politician and like me, Yeshua clearly was not. My purpose in a nut shell was to get the Great People of this region to think in terms other than sterotypes, platitudes and bigotry. it does matter who is elected and for what reasons.

i take strong exception to those who have suggested that i did this for my gratification. Sorry, FRIEND I DID IT FOR YOU. you have been sold a bill of lies by these hypocrites on the right AND YOU DO NOT VOTE YOUR INTEREST. You have bought into the lies that the Democrats are for abortion and blacks and their going to take you guns and raise your taxes. i told my Republican friend, Jimmy Humprhies Esq. that the poor would be walking the streets of Abingdon by the time Junior, Cheney and the Republican Congress got done w/ them. i did not know how prophetic i would be. our brothers and sisters on fixed income or living near the poverty level (and there are many in our region) are having decide whether to ride or eat. the republicans who had control of the Presidency and the Congress for 8 long years have devalued your dollar w/ billions in debt, much of which was paid to Cheney’s Haliburton and other Defense Contractors.

i can recall during the Bosnia conflict, the Republicans including Pappy, McCain saying they would never get us into a War w/ no exit strategy. Yep, MORE HYPOCRITICAL LIES and what a terrible loss of life and money for nothing. these sunis and shea have been killing each other forever. now, if you think that w/ that pot of gold in oil just setting there between them that they are going to stop killing each other when we leave, then i have some land down in Fla for you, Friend and Oriely.

The Republicans told us they were the party of fiscal conservatism. Yep, ANOTHER HYPOCRITICAL LIE. THEY HAVE RUN UP THE LARGEST DEBT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR GREAT NATION AND SHATTERED OUR ECONOMY IN THE PROCESS.

The Republicans are the party of the largest prison population in the history of the Untied States. i have been practicing law for over twenty years. What they have done to our Federal System is shocking and so unjust. it is, as designed by them, a one sided inquisition.

we are blessed in Va and E.Tenn w/ a great State Court System and great Judges. i have yet to complete a case in these State Systems where i felt that my client was slighted or that the Judge was not accomplishing Justice be he Republican or Democrat.

Not so, in the Federal system. The Republicans have packed these Courts w/ so called “Conservative Judges”. in my experience, that means they deprive the Citizen of their rights and remedies.

i am going to give you one example of my throw up cases (i do mean that physically) from the Federal Western District Court of Virginia. there have been 3 that made me physically ill, but i will only burden you with 1. many lawyers that practice here have more. ask them about their horror stories.

this is what happened to Bradley McKinsey from the mountains of S.W. Va. Bradley was at home minding his own business w/ his family when a Sheriff Deputy shows up and said they had child welfare check to do(his wife’s teenage girl had been out of school for a few days and her the mother on his wife’s X side had called concerned). Bradley and his wife explained that the child was in state custody as she had got on drugs and they sent her in for detox. the officer did not call to confirm, but insisted on searching the house where he found several rifles in one room and a pistol under Bradley’s bed. The Deputy left but, he went back and checked Bradley’s NCI report and found he had been convicted of 3 felonies for indecent liberties 12 years before. The deputy came back and obtained Bradley’s confession that the pistol was his.

the Feds pick up the case and there we are in Federal Court. All motions to suppress are as usual summarily denied. the boy has confessed. what do i do to help him?

i investigated the three underlying felonies. i found that they were BS. Bradley at age 18 had obtained a job driving a school bus. unfortunately, he was assigned to drive “troubled female teenagers’ to and from a special needs school. we found 2 of them and they recanted their previous statements saying that Bradley had talked lewd to them. they told us they got mad at Bradley b/c he would not stop and buy them ice cream or something of that sort. we obtained their sworn affidavits

the problem for Bradley was that his court appointed lawyer had worked him a sweet deal back then. plead to three felonies and you get no jail time. fast forward and Congress passes the Armed Carrer Criminal provision setting the mandatory minimum punishment at 15 years for 3 or more violent prior offenses. these were not violent offenses but, sorry Bradley Congress defined them as such.

So we go to the sentencing inquisition. the probation office who works directly for the Judge, despite my begging that he look at the underlying nonoffenses, concludes that they are violent offenses. now here i am cross examing the Judges employee. here i am putting on Bradley and the family to beg for him. i don’t think there was a dry eye in the room other than on the bench.

When it’s over the Judge looks down at me sternly and says tersely “you know my hands are tied Mr. Conway”: 15 years for this victimless crime.

Plus, consider that you cannot expect any relief from the 4th Circuit Court Appeals w/ it’s “Conservative Judges”. any lawyer will tell you that and Bradley could not afford an appeal in any event.

Well, i am sorry folks that was sickening and i could not believe it happened in America. A family was completely destroyed and Bradley, who was supporting them, sits in prison today, rotting away. there are literally thousands and thousands of stories like Bradley’s and young people wasting away for victimless crimes. it cost us, the tax payers over $30,000 per year to house one of those wasting away. we could send them to college cheaper and perhaps develop them in to tax paying Citizens.

Congress HAS NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER, BEING INVOLVED IN THE SENTENCING OF THE GODD PEOPLE OF THIS REGION, WHOM THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN OR CARE ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS A ONE SIDED POLITICAL EQUATION. ANY IDIOT CAN STAND UP AND SAY THEY ARE TUFF ON CRIME. there is no one opposing them. that is the problem. that is why our wise liberal forefathers created the SEPARATION OF POWERS.

There was also a substantial general Afroasiatic influence in Jesus’ DNA as the Hebrew in Jesus genealogy were a subjugated people that spent hundreds of years in Africa. In his Ministry, Jesus often warned of the danger of wealth and possessions. He taught that a man’s life is not measured by possessions and that we can not serve God and money. Luke 12:15 through Luke 12:16, Matthew 6:24. Jesus said that it will be very difficult for a rich man to enter heaven. Luke 6:20 through Luke 24, Matthew 19:23,24 and Luke 12:33. He taught that we are stewards of God’s blessings and that we should use our position, power and wealth to help those less fortunate and to expand the Kingdom. Matthew 6:33, Matthew 19:21, Luke 12:33 and Luke 12:48 and Pastor Jimmie Davidson from a sermon. These are liberal principals, but it does not end there.

Jesus was against the Death Penalty. He taught that thou shall not kill and that if one is sinless; let him cast the first stone, as he bent down and wrote symbolically in the sand. John 8:3 through John 8:11, Luke 6:37 through Luke 6:42. Jesus changed a murderer named Saul into the most prolific apostle of them all. Acts 22:6 through Acts 22:11. Peter was the rock upon which the God’s church was built, but Paul spread the Gospel further and planted more churches than he. Matthew 6:18, B.W. JESUS WAS DARK, LIBERAL: SO WHY FEAR MR. OBAMA?

Jesus was born Yeshua Ben Yoseph in the town of Bethlehem. Yeshua means salvation or “Lord who is salvation” in Hebrew, while the remainder of his name refers to his lineage from his earthly father.
He was born into a poor Hebrew family from Nazareth, but one that was provided for very well by God through the Wise Men.

Nazareth was near the Gentile cities of Tiberias and Sepphoris on the Sea of Gaililee that lies in southern Israel along the ancient “Via Maris,” which linked Egypt to Mesopotamia. As has been shown by archaeology and linguistic evidence, this region was essentially an eastern extension of Africa due to the interaction of these peoples.

Second, Jesus’ genealogy is stated clearly in the Bible and demonstrates that he was a man of color. First, Matthew 1:2-17 sets out Jesus’ lineage to King David and beyond, which interestingly contains many flawed human beings (sinners like me), but also contains at least four Afro-Asiatic women: Rahab, Tamar, Ruth and Bathsheba. There was also a substantial general Afro-Asiatic influence in Jesus’ DNA as the Hebrew in Jesus genealogy were a subjugated people that spent a hundreds of years in Africa.

Putting aside the sexual exploitation of slaves that we know from the American and Mexican experience, Moses, for example, had a Cushite or Ethiopian wife and Phineas, which in Egyptian means “the Nubian,” was the son of Aaron and the father of a priestly Hebrew line.

Third, Jesus spent his early years in Egypt, where he and his family apparently blended in quite well. Matthew reports the flight of Jesus’ family to Egypt to escape Herod’s infanticide designed to kill Jesus. Thus, Jesus spent his formative years in Africa and was exposed to Egyptian mysticism.

This is confirmed by non-biblical resources, as early Jewish critics of Christianity argued that Jesus learned his magic in Egypt. Matthew also documents that God called his son out of Egypt.

For all these reasons, it is clear that Jesus was a man of color. He was of mixed blood known as Afroasiatic. Like his parents, he was much like the darker Palestinian, Egyptian or Yemenite of today: More chocolate brown than Caucasian in appearance.

What is in a name? Today in America, our names have little meaning other than to identify us. This was and is not so in Middle Eastern cultures.

The name Hussein, which is being used to demagogue Mr. Obama because it was also the shortened name of Saddam Hussein, does not actually have any evil connotation. In Arabic, it means “to be good” or “to be handsome or beautiful.”

So as with most demagoguery, we find that there is no basis in fact for it, nor is there any thing for us Caucasian Americans to fear from the use of this name.

Jesus was crucified because he was a liberal – indeed a radical against the religious and political leaders in Jerusalem. Immediately after his triumphal entry, with the crowd shouting Hosanna (God save us), Jesus proceeded to the temple where he made a whip of cords and drove out the money changers and those selling sacrifices, along with their animals. “You have turned my father’s house into a den of thieves,” Jesus implored.

This was done in full sight of the Roman Garrisons, which were situated on each end of the Temple Square and the Hebrew religious leaders that no doubt had an interest in the commerce.

Jesus was against the death penalty. He taught that thou shall not kill and that if one is sinless, let him cast the first stone. Jesus changed a murderer named Saul into the most prolific apostle of them all. Peter was the rock upon which God’s church was built, but Paul spread the Gospel further and planted more churches than he. This belief in the goodness and potential of all men is a liberal principal.

Jesus is a peace maker and believed in and taught peace. He said, “Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called children of God.” He taught that we should love and pray for our enemies and that if anyone should harm us, that we should turn the other cheek.

These were men of color on three separate continents in entirely different cultures who used love and nonviolence in the face of powerful entrenched government leaders and evil and hate to effect remarkable change. They were acting out liberal biblical principals in faith.

I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus is a liberal; thank God for his grace.

My name is B.L. Conway. I am a Phi Betta Kappa graduate of the University of Kentucky and a 1986 graduate of its law school. I reside in Abingdon Virginia where I enjoy the practice of law. Ms. Davis you demagogue Mr. Obama and the Democrats with your litmus test thinking and stereotypes. There is more to the political argument than framing the issue to allege that Mr. Obama or anyone else is for abortion. That is simply not true. Mr. Obama has said plainly that he is not for abortion and he will work to see that it is limited and that women fully understand that there are better choices. This is the correct approach and it is biblically based.

I am going to be gentle with you here sister, unlike the way I have been treated in this forum. Everything I will share with you is biblically based and true. Your Jesus taught against strict enforcement of religious law because we humans are not capable of being perfect. We see this constantly in the gospels in Jesus conflict with the religious leaders who would eventually kill him. For example, they accused Jesus of sin for healing on the Sabbath and he rebuked them. John 5:1 They also accused Jesus disciples of sin for gathering grain on the Sabbath and Jesus rebuked them. Matthew 12:2. Jesus said of these hypocrites in Matthew 23:3 and 4 to not follow their works for they say and do not perform and they lay heavy burdens to grievous to be born by men, yet they do not abide by them.

This is a central problem for the religious hypocrites of today that have sold you this litmus test of Abortion. They command others to a standard that they are unwilling and unable to perform personally. We cannot legislate morality. As Rick Warren teaches this occurs from the inside out (metamorphi) with the help of our Savior.

Now let me tell about Jesus' view of Abortion. It is Sin and it is Murder. I do not know why the Democrats dance around the issue. There is no question about it and Jesus condemned it and any other harm to a child. However, it is not your job Ms. Davis to judge your sister, nor do we need big brother in the bedroom, be it hospital or otherwise. You do not know your sisters circumstances or how she came to that terrible decision to sin.

But let me tell Ms. Davis, your Jesus can, will and has forgiven her. Jesus forgave many "harlots" in the bible. Lets look at what that means. Prostitution was rampant in ancient Rome and its’ territories as has been shown by archeology. Contraception was non existent. This means the harlot were bearing children. They have found mass graves of infants below the Roman houses of prostitution. Determining the Sex of Infanticide Victims from the Late Roman Era through Ancient DNA Analysis, Journal of Archaeological Science Volume 25, Issue 9, September 1998, Pages 861-865. This was call infanticide. It was more heinous than abortion as the child was born.

Now consider that and read John 8:1-11. This was a trap sewn by the Religious leaders. They lead the harlot, caught in the act, before the people with Jesus preparing to teach them in the Temple. They cited the requirement of the Law from Lev. 20:10 and Deut 22:22 and asked our Savior what to do, to try and trap him. Jesus did not blink or avoid the issue. He knelt down to the ground and began to write in the book of life and said let he that has not sinned cast the first stone. Well, that scattered the hypocrites.!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus stood up and said "Woman where are they? Has no one condemned you? No one sir, she said. Then neither do I condemn you; Go now and leave your life of sin". Oh!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful blessing our Lord gave this woman. His grace know no bounds!

There were many of these "harlots" that followed, supported and cared for Jesus. Mary Magdalen was deranged and possessed by demons. Luke 8:1-3. These women anointed Jesus feet and fed him. Luke 7:36- 50 and see John 12:1-8 and Mark 14:3-9. Jesus cured them and forgave them their many sins that no doubt included infanticide. Jesus told the religious leaders: "Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots shall enter the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him. (Matthew 21:31b, 32)

So, Ms. Davis I pray you see that sin is despicable in God’s view and abortion is clearly a sin. I do not think there are levels of sin. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of god. None of us would have a prayer for eternity, but for the awesome sacrifice of Jesus who paid with his blood our terrible just punishment. However, we are not to judge our sisters that commit this heinous act. I do not think and I pray that no one commits that sin frivolously. I also pray that they see their error and repent.

I faced the issue at age seventeen and could not do it. I had sinfully knocked up a sixteen year old Catholic girl. Her mother proposed Abortion. I said no, I will marry her, having no idea what that really meant. The marriage did not last, but my first son, Toby has been a blessing to me and my family. I have never regretted my decision, but it was difficult.

We don’t need Government in this decision making process. This is to say that we should not condemn or cast the first stone. We are not without Sin. This is not the role of Government. As a citizen we enjoy a right of privacy and a refuge from the tyranny of the masses in personal decisions of this nature. Let God deal with us Sinners. http://www.alternet.org/story/95825/John McCain is a long-time acquaintance of mine that goes way back to our time together at the U.S. Naval Academy and as Prisoners of War in Vietnam. He is a man I respect and admire in some ways. But there are a number of reasons why I will not vote for him for President of the United States.When I was a Plebe (4th classman, or freshman) at the Naval Academy in 1957-58, I was assigned to the 17th Company for my four years there. In those days we had about 3,600 midshipmen spread among 24 companies, thus about 150 midshipmen to a company. As fortune would have it, John, a First Classman (senior) and his room mate lived directly across the hall from me and my two room mates. Believe me when I say that back then I would never in a million or more years have dreamed that the crazy guy across the hall would someday be a Senator and candidate for President!John was a wild man. He was funny, with a quick wit and he was intelligent. But he was intent on breaking every USNA regulation in our 4 inch thick USNA Regulations book. And I believe he must have come as close to his goal as any midshipman who ever attended the Academy. John had me "coming around" to his room frequently during my plebe year. And on one occasion he took me with him to escape "over the wall" in the dead of night. He had a taxi cab waiting for us that took us to a bar some 7 miles away. John had a few beers, but forbid me to drink (watching out for me I guess) and made me drink cokes. I could tell many other midshipman stories about John that year and he unbelievably managed to graduate though he spent the majority of his first class year on restriction for the stuff he did get caught doing. In fact he barely managed to graduate, standing 5th from the bottom of his 800 man graduating class. I and many others have speculated that the main reason he did graduate was because his father was an Admiral, and also his grandfather, both U.S. Naval Academy graduates.People often ask if I was a Prisoner of War with John McCain. My answer is always "No - John McCain was a POW with me." The reason is I was there for 8 years and John got there 2 1/2 years later, so he was a POW for 5 1/2 years. And we have our own seniority system, based on time as a POW.John's treatment as a POW:1) Was he tortured for 5 years? No. He was subjected to torture and maltreatment during his first 2 years, from September of 1967 to September of 1969. After September of 1969 the Vietnamese stopped the torture and gave us increased food and rudimentary health care. Several hundred of us were captured much earlier. I got there April 20, 1965 so my bad treatment period lasted 4 1/2 years. President Ho Chi Minh died on September 9, 1969, and the new regime that replaced him and his policies was more pragmatic. They realized we were worth a lot as bargaining chips if we were alive. And they were right because eventually Americans gave up on the war and agreed to trade our POW's for their country. A damn good trade in my opinion! But my point here is that John allows the media to make him out to be THE hero POW, which he knows is absolutely not true, to further his political goals.2) John was badly injured when he was shot down. Both arms were broken and he had other wounds from his ejection. Unfortunately this was often the case -- new POW's arriving with broken bones and serious combat injuries. Many died from their wounds. Medical care was non-existent to rudimentary. Relief from pain was almost never given and often the wounds were used as an available way to torture the POW. Because John's father was the Naval Commander in the Pacific theater, he was exploited with TV interviews while wounded. These film clips have now been widely seen. But it must be known that many POW's suffered similarly, not just John. And many were similarly exploited for political propaganda.3) John was offered, and refused, "early release." Many of us were given this offer. It meant speaking out against your country and lying about your treatment to the press. You had to "admit" that the U.S. was criminal and that our treatment was "lenient and humane." So I, like numerous others, refused the offer. This was obviously something none of us could accept. Besides, we were bound by our service regulations, Geneva Conventions and loyalties to refuse early release until all the POW's were released, with the sick and wounded going first.4) John was awarded a Silver Star and Purple Heart for heroism and wounds in combat. This heroism has been played up in the press and in his various political campaigns. But it should be known that there were approximately 600 military POW's in Vietnam. Among all of us, decorations awarded have recently been totaled to the following: Medals of Honor -- 8, Service Crosses -- 42, Silver Stars -- 590, Bronze Stars -- 958 and Purple Hearts -- 1,249. John certainly performed courageously and well. But it must be remembered that he was one hero among many -- not uniquely so as his campaigns would have people believe.John McCain served his time as a POW with great courage, loyalty and tenacity. More than 600 of us did the same. After our repatriation a census showed that 95% of us had been tortured at least once. The Vietnamese were quite democratic about it. There were many heroes in North Vietnam. I saw heroism every day there. And we motivated each other to endure and succeed far beyond what any of us thought we had in ourselves. Succeeding as a POW is a group sport, not an individual one. We all supported and encouraged each other to survive and succeed. John knows that. He was not an individual POW hero. He was a POW who surmounted the odds with the help of many comrades, as all of us did.I furthermore believe that having been a POW is no special qualification for being President of the United States. The two jobs are not the same, and POW experience is not, in my opinion, something I would look for in a presidential candidate.Most of us who survived that experience are now in our late 60's and 70's. Sadly, we have died and are dying off at a greater rate than our non-POW contemporaries. We experienced injuries and malnutrition that are coming home to roost. So I believe John's age (73) and survival expectation are not good for being elected to serve as our President for 4 or more years.I can verify that John has an infamous reputation for being a hot head.. He has a quick and explosive temper that many have experienced first hand.. Folks, quite honestly that is not the finger I want next to that red button.It is also disappointing to see him take on and support Bush's war in Iraq, even stating we might be there for another 100 years. For me John represents the entrenched and bankrupt policies of Washington-as-usual. The past 7 years have proven to be disastrous for our country. And I believe John's views on war, foreign policy, economics, environment, health care, education, national infrastructure and other important areas are much the same as those of the Bush administration.I'm disappointed to see John represent himself politically in ways that are not accurate. He is not a moderate Republican. On some issues he is a maverick. But his voting record is far to the right. I fear for his nominations to our Supreme Court, and the consequent continuing loss of individual freedoms, especially regarding moral and religious issues. John is not a religious person, but he has taken every opportunity to ally himself with some really obnoxious and crazy fundamentalist ministers lately. I was also disappointed to see him cozy up to Bush because I know he hates that man. He disingenuously and famously put his arm around the guy, even after Bush had intensely disrespected him with lies and slander. So on these and many other instances, I don't see that John is the "straight talk express" he markets himself to be.Senator John Sidney McCain, III is a remarkable man who has made enormous personal achievements. And he is a man that I am proud to call a fellow POW who "Returned With Honor." That's our POW motto. But since many of you keep asking what I think of him, I've decided to write it out. In short, I think John Sidney McCain, III is a good man, but not someone I will vote for in the upcoming election to be our President of the United States.

Hey boys and girls it’s bl again. please let up on Jimmie Davidson and the great folks at Highlands. they had nothing to do w/ this. it is my work and my views. i did not seek Pastor Davidson’s approval, nor would i have listened to him if he disapproved. The CHURCH HAS NO ROLE in the rough and tumble world of politics. so say it to my face or in this forum, i can take it.
i have not responded directly to any of your comments b/c most were frankly not worthy of my time. i do take strong exception to one which suggest that i did this for my gratification. Sorry, FRIEND I DID IT FOR YOU. you have been sold a bill of lies by these hypocrites on the right AND YOU DO NOT VOTE YOUR INTEREST. You have bought into the lies that the Democrats are for abortion and blacks and their going to take you guns and raise your taxes. THESE ARE ALL LIES. for example, they are going to raise my taxes, but not yours.

i told my republican friend, Jimmy Humprhies Esq. that the poor would be walking the streets of Abingdon by the time Junior, Cheney and the Republican Congress got done w/ them. i did not know how prophetic i would be. our poor brothers and sisters are having decide whether to ride or eat. they have devalued your dollar w/ billions in debt, much of which was paid to Cheney’s Haliburton and other Defense Contractors.

Not so, in the Federal system. The Republicans have packed these Courts w/ so called Conservative Judges. in my experience, that means they deprive the Citizen of their rights and remedies.

the Feds pick up the case and there we are in Federal Court. All motions to suppress are as usual denied. the boy has confessed. what i do to help him? i investigated the three underlying felonies. i found that they were bs. Bradley at age 18 had obtained a job driving a school bus. unfortunately, he was assigned to drive "troubled female teenagers’ to and from a special needs school. we found 2 of them and they recanted their previous statements saying that Bradley had talked lewd to them. they told us they got mad at Bradley b/c he would not stop and buy them ice cream or something of that sort. we obtained their sworn affidavits

So we go to the sentencing inquisition. the probation office who works directly for the Judge despite my begging that he look at the underlying nonoffenses, concludes that they are violent offenses. now here i am cross examing the Judges employee. here i am putting on Bradley and the family to beg for him. i don’t think there was a dry eye in the room other than on the bench. When it’s over the Judge looks down at me sternly and says tersely "you know my hands are tied Mr. Conway": 15 years for this victimless crime.

Plus, consider that you cannot expect any relief from the 4th Circuit Court Appeals w/ it’s Conservative Judges. any lawyer will tell you that and Bradley could not afford an appeal in any event.

Well, i am sorry folks that was sickening and i could not believe it happened in America. A family was completely destroyed and Bradley who was supporting them sits in prison today rotting away. there are literally thousands and thousands of stories like Bradley’s and young people wasting away for victimless crimes. it cost us, the tax payers over $30,000 per year to house one of those wasting away. we could send them to college cheaper and perhaps develop them in to tax paying Citizens. Congress has no business being involved in the sentencing of the good folks of our region when they never saw or meet them. One size does not fit all. that is not Justice.

So now you know the reason why i did this. it has nothing to do with me. i love the people of this region. they have been so good to me and my family. i did it for them. they must learn to vote their interest again. if you earn $200,000 or above, you ought to vote Republican b/c yes, your taxes are going to be raised to pay down this debt and stabilize our dollar. but if you do not, your just cutting your own throat if you vote Republican. they do not operate in your interest. Do you really want 4 MORE YEARS OF THIS INJUSTICE, WAR, SOARING DEBT, FALLING DOLLAR, HIGHER PRICES AND CORPORATE WELFARE? Think about it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These were men of color on three separate continents in entirely different cultures who used love and non violence in the face of powerful entrenched government leaders and evil and hate to effect remarkable change. I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus was a liberal; thank God for his grace.

So, Tennessee, please see that you need not fear Mr. Barack Obama because of his color or his liberalism and progressive thinking. He is less liberal than Jesus. Mr. Obama has already told us that he does not want our guns and will enforce the death penalty.

Virginia is the birth place of freedom through the leadership of its sons, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson. They were liberals, indeed radicals declared criminals worthy of hanging by King George. Patrick Henry declared “give me liberty of give me death”. Thomas Jefferson wrote our Declaration of Independence, the most liberal document of declared rights of it’s time. Much of Tennessee was once part of Virginia. Moreoverr, You Tennessee were Volunteers for America. So many of your brave sons have fought and died for the liberal freedoms of America.

Let us join together and make history once again. We must realize Martin Luther King’s dream. We must show the world that the truth and peace still matter to the Citizens of these United States and that we have progressed past petty prejudices. Do not listen to the demagoguery of this vision filled man. You, Maryland stood to benefit from being loyal at the beginning of the Revolution. Boston’s harbor was in the chaos of open rebellion and closed by the British. Loyalist tried to bring tea through Annapolis, but your brave sons were waiting. They required the Loyalist, Anthony Stewart, who was an Annapolis resident, to burn his boat and his cargo. You then joined Virginia and delegates from all the Colonies at the Continental Congress in Philadelphia and the Rebels on the battlefields of the Revolutionary War.

This belief in the goodness and potential of all men is a liberal principal.

I could go on and on from Jesus’ rejection of strict enforcement of religious law to separation of church and state, but I think the point is made. Jesus was a liberal; thank God for his grace.

So, Pennsylvania, please see that you need not fear Mr. Barack Obama because of his color or his liberalism and progressive thinking. He is less liberal than Jesus. Mr. Obama has already told us that he does not want our guns and will enforce the death penalty.

Through the steadying leadership of your sons, Benjamin Franklin and Benjamin Rush, with the assistance of the skillful oratory of John Adams and the pen of Virginia’s, Thomas Jefferson, independence was declared on July 2, 1776. These were men of color on three separate continents in entirely different cultures who used love and non violence in the face of powerful entrenched government leaders and evil and hate to effect remarkable change. They were acting out liberal biblical principals in faith.

I was born and raised in Morganfield Kentucky. I know the racial divide that exists in the towns of Western Kentucky. I know the division, suspicion and in circumstances hatred that exist in your towns. I know it up close and personal, but that is for another publication. I will address the later point of the title first because as to it there can be little argument. He was born Yeshua Ben Yoseph. Yeshua means salvation or “Lord who is salvation” in Hebrew. Jesus was born into a poor Hebrew family from Nazareth, but one that was provided for very well by God through the Wise Men. Nazareth was located near the Gentile cities of Tiberias and Sepphoris on the Sea of Gaililee that lies in southern Israel along the ancient “Via Maris” which linked Egypt to Mesopotamia. This region was essentially and eastern extension of Africa due to the interaction of these peoples as has been shown by archeology and linguistic evidence.

Second, Jesus’ genealogy is stated clearly in the Bible and demonstrates that he was a man of color. First, Matthew 1.2-17 sets out Jesus’ lineage which interestingly contains many flawed human beings (sinners like me), but also contains at least four Afroasiatic women: Rahab, Tamar, Ruth and Bathsheba. There was also a substantial general Afroasiatic influence in Jesus’ DNA as the Hebrew in Jesus genealogy were a subjugated people that spent a hundreds of years in Africa. Moses for example had a Cushite or Ethiopian wife and Phineas, which in Egyptian means “the Nubian”, was the son of Aaron and the father of a priestly Hebrew line.
